Opis:
Wymagać to będzie skonstruowania nowych czterech transferów rezystancji: (0,1-1-10) MΩ, (10-100-1000) MΩ, (1-10-100) GΩ i (0,1-1-10) TΩ.
Authors describe the resistance unit transfer system, from the primary standard QHR to 100 TΩ standards based on Hamon transfers, which they developed (Fig. 1) [5, 6, 8]. Resistance unit is transferred from the QHR to 100 Ω standard with the Cryogenic Current Comparator (CCC), and then with the same comparator to 10 kΩ standard. Next to standard up to 1 GΩ? Hamon, the transfers with Measuremnt International 6000B bridge are used. Above 1 GΩ up to 100 TΩ Hamon transfers and Guildline 6500 teraommeter are used. Hamon transfers which are used in the system are sealed in metal boxes which protect from humidity and external interferences; they are also thermostated with instability of š0.01 °C [5, 9]. Described system is very accurate if voltage applied to Hamon transfer resistors is constant. In practice this is impossible and corrections due to voltage change are necessary, what is main limitation of this system accuracy. Furthermore measurement equipment does not enable sufficient voltage regulation what causes additional errors. Secondary standards are not thermally stabilized, and for teraommeter it is impossible to set measurement time. Described system enables resistance unit transfer with only one path, this does not allow to verify results of measurements. Therefore authors propose to equip existing system with second path, based on additional four Hamon transfers (Fig. 2.). Authors also propose to develop special thermostats for secondary standards and active-arm bridge (Fig. 3.) [10].

Opis:
One of the factor that influence accuracy of high value resistors measurements is presence of surface currents. In the paper the influence of resistors surface currents on high value resistors resistance is discussed. The results of research over minimization of surface currents by applying conductive protective electrode on high value resistors are presented. Also the way of minimization of surface currents in the guarded resistance transfer devices are presented. Moreover, the way of changing resistance settling times are presented.

Opis:
Nowadays, the increasing tendency to use of herbs and herbal preparation is observed; however, one of the main problem is accumulation of hazardous contaminations in living organisms. In view of these facts, the analysis of toxic components including heavy metals in plants is particular importance. The contents of trace elements: Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn and Ni in medicinal plants collected in the region of Lublin were determined by use of ion chromatography method. The presence of these metals in various amounts was observed in all investigated herbs, however, nickel was found only in Vitis idaeae folium (0.0410 mg g⁻¹) and Polygonii herba (0.0137 mg g⁻¹). Fe and Mn occurred in the highest amount (1.5378 mg g⁻¹ in Polygonii herba and 1.1040 mg g⁻¹ in Vitis idaeae folium, respectively). The content of zinc ranged from 0.2541 mg g⁻¹ (Euphrasiae herba) to 0.0264 mg g⁻¹ (Equiseti herba). The smallest amount of copper was noted in Urticae folium (0.0046 mg g⁻¹) and the highest in Crataegi inflorescentia (0.0155 mg g⁻¹). The extraction of selected ions to water infusion depending on time and temperature was also determined however, only iron passed into water infusion in significant concentration. The highest percentage of extraction was obtained after 10 min. at 95º C.
W największych ilościach w ziołach występowały żelazo i mangan, odpowiednio 1,5378 mg g⁻¹ w zielu rdestu ostrogorzkiego i 1,1040 mg g⁻¹ w liściu borówki brusznicy. Zawartość cynku wahała się od 0,2541 mg g⁻¹⁻¹ (ziele świetlika) do 0,0264 mg g⁻¹ (ziele skrzypu polnego). Najmniejsze ilości miedzi zanotowano w liściu pokrzywy (0,0046 mg g⁻¹), a największe w kwiatostanie głogu (0,0155 mg g⁻¹). Badano również ekstrakcję wybranych jonów jednakże tylko żelazo przechodziło do naparu wodnego w znaczącym stężeniu. Najwyższy procent ekstrakcji uzyskano w temperaturze 95º C i po 10 minutach zaparzania.

Opis:
Minerals are among the most important substances promoting the beneficial effect of tree sap on a human body. However, the composition of tree saps is characterised by high intra- and interspecies variability and it is also known to vary in time even when collected from trees of the same species. The aim of this work was to evaluate the time-related variability of the mineral content in birch tree sap, to prove dependencies between the mineral composition and basic physical parameters of tree saps, and to refer the results obtained in our study to the Polish nutritional standards. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is no point in time when birch sap invariably achieves superior nutritive values. This is proven by the fact that two of the three tested birch trees had a higher content of minerals at the beginning of sap collection, while the remaining one produced better sap at the end of the experiment. The differences in the mineral composition of tree saps observed during the two-week study raise doubt about the nutritional benefits of their content. For example, one liter of sap collected during two weeks from the three tested birches supplied from 8.49 to 26.34%, 0.9 to 2.80% and 9.17 to 20.23% of the adequate intake of potassium defined in the Nutritional standards for the Polish population (2013). For zinc, the recommended dietary allowance value based on the Nutritional standards for the Polish population (2013) was covered by one liter of sap in the following ranges: from 0 to 2.11%, from 0.85 to 21.50% and from 7.34 to 15.63%. Moreover, it is impossible to estimate the nutritional value of tree saps, understood as the mineral content, from the physical parameters of birch saps. The values of the examined parameters did not correspond reliably to the mineral content. Nonetheless, electrolytic conductivity may reflect more faithfully the nutritional benefits. The higher the EC in the saps from two out of the three birch trees tested, the higher the expected concentration of minerals important for humans, i.e. calcium, zinc and potassium.

The aim of this study was to determine the content of selected minerals in silver birch sap, and to examine whether the tree thickness (DBH), the obtained daily volume of sap and the date of collection have an impact on their content. The study was carried out in central−eastern Poland, in the Garwolin Forest District, in a stand with a dominant share of silver birch at the age of 65, which grows on a moist mixed broadleaved forest habitat type. Sap from the selected trees was taken after 24 hours of leakage, four times, at weekly intervals. In each case, the daily sap volume was measured and the content of zinc, copper, and manganese was determined. As a result, no effect of tree diameter on the content of the studied elements was found. However, a negative relationship was stated between copper content and daily sap volume. Moreover, birch sap was characterized by increasing concentration of zinc and copper over time. The obtained results of the determination of the content of minerals in birch sap testify to the fact that it is characterized by high nutritional value. However, the large variability in its composition means that in order to obtain such benefits it is necessary to combine sap taken from as many trees as possible, while sap collected from only one tree may have a negligible nutritional value.

The aim of this study was to determine the content of selected heavy metals in birch sap, and to examine whether the tree diameter, the obtained daily sap volume and the date of collection have an impact on their content. Moreover, it was decided to check whether the tree diameter could affect the intensity of the sap leak. The study was carried out in central−eastern Poland, in the Garwolin Forest District, in a stand with a dominant share of silver birch at the age of 65, which grows on a moist mixed broadleaved forest habitat type. Sap from the selected trees was taken after 24 hours of leakage, four times at weekly intervals. We also proved that the tree thickness had an impact on the daily sap volume. However, a negative relationship was stated between lead and cadmium content and daily sap volume. In turn, over time, birch sap was characterized by increasing concentration of lead and cadmium, while in the case of nickel downward trend was shown for two diameter classes. The obtained results of the determination of the con− tent of heavy metals in birch sap testify to the fact that for most of samples it is characterized by health safety. However, few exceedances of the most restrictive potable water as well as fruit juices and nectars standards are encountered, confirming the susceptibility of birch sap to heavy metal pollution. Therefore, in order to guarantee the safety of consumers, primarily it is necessary to select the collection points taking into account potential industrial and agricultural pollution and secondly – combining birch sap taken from as many trees as possible in order to average a very large variation in the content of heavy metals, both between individual trees and over time. It should also be noted that consum.

Metal ions can modify plant metabolism and change the level of biologically active components. In the present study, the impact of short-term exposure to strontium on the accumulation of the metal as well as the content of isoflavones in soybean sprouts was investigated. The seeds were germinated in hydroponics with 0, 1, 1.5, 2.5, 5.0, or 10.0 mM of Sr for 72 hours. The content of strontium was assessed using flame atomic absorption spectrometry and the amount of isoflavones was determined with high performance liquid chromatography. dose-dependent accumulation of Sr and a linear correlation between the Sr concentration in the growth medium and the content of the element in the plant samples were observed. The largest changes in the isoflavone content, compared to the control, were noted in soy sprouts germinated in the presence of 5 and 10 mM of strontium. daidzin, genistin, malonyldaidzin, and malonylgenistin were the dominant isoflavones and their content increased by approx. 28, 44, 34, and 47%, respectively, compared to the control. low amounts of aglycones were found; moreover, their content decreased by ca. 19–30%. Our research can be important for obtaining a natural product enhanced with strontium and isoflavones, which contribute to prevention of osteoporosis associated with endog- enous oestrogen deficits
