The article presents reflections on the best practices in real estate cross border transactions.Transactions on real estate markets have several aspects that make them highly complex, mostly due to their individual nature – each property is unique in terms of its location, structure and history. Cross-border transactions on the real estate market are becoming increasingly popular as the world becomes more globalized. The growing volume of this type of transaction presents a challenge for the modern real estate lawyer. It is impossible to create an exhaustive guide setting out all the hazards occurring in such transactions. This article addresses this difficult challenge by indicating the most important of them.It is essential and extremely helpful to enter into cooperation with a local counsel who will help us to explain the local specificity and who will take the legal differences into account. In addition, other helpful tools, such as a legal due diligence report or a title insurance Policy, should be carefully considered. One cannot forget about the importance of the local culture and customs, which may prove decisive at the crucial moment of the transaction. Finally, to be effective in working with cross-border clients, lawyers must have a good understanding of how people think and make decisions, and must possess good people skills. Respect for local customs and traditions, as well as understanding the local legal system while securing clients’ interests, is the key to a successful transaction.

The paper aims to show how offset transactions contribute to an accelerated development of various industries. The author describes the principal guidelines of government policy vis-à-vis offset agreements, showing a framework of relationships between the main forms of offset strategies and the goals of industrial development in both the civilian and defense sectors. Further in the article, the author offers a concise model of technological development spurred by offset transactions. The model is illustrated by numerous examples of offset transactions made in recent years between partners from various regions of the world. The economic effects of offset transactions on industrial development are unclear, the author concludes, but a detailed analysis of specific examples of such transactions may help reveal the basic problems that arise in the course of such projects, along with the long-term implications of poor performance and negotiation mistakes in this area. The paper ends with a brief analysis of Poland’s defense industry and its prospects for the future, including plans to establish a single defense corporation based on the use of new technology secured by Poland under offset agreements signed by the government over the past several years.

Modern companies, operating in a dynamically changing environment, are subject to the permanent determinism of the institution. On the other hand, companies are more and more often perceived as complex networks of interpersonal relations in often dispersed organizational structures. Relationships seem to play the role of a link between human activities. The latter, being dependent on the level of his/her opportunism, limited rationality, uncertainty and defined costs of transaction execution within the company, take actions consistent with the company's goal. Man-made activities seem to be more and more often characterised by market transactions concluded within the frames of a company. The whole mechanism of company functioning cohabits under the influence of institutional determinism. Such a context of social and economic reality observed within the frame of the company has become a contribution to the emergence of the question which inspires the author's scientific work within the scope of the new institutional economics. What are the reasons for the existence of various forms of transaction organization and ways of their implementation within the company? The following article is an attempt to answer such a question in the context of the theory of institutions. The presented considerations, through the theoretical meanders of neo-institutionalism, ultimately lead to the localization of institutional determinism, which shapes the way transactions are carried out within the company.

The article sets out to determine if tie-in transactions can be a more favorable form of buying capital goods for enterprises than ordinary market transactions in the event of an information asymmetry. The authors present a model situation in which an enterprise from a less developed country decides to buy technology from a company based in a highly developed country. The quality of the technology is unknown to the buyer, who has two forms of transactions to choose from: a market transaction or a tie-in. The authors prove that in the event of considerable uncertainty about the quality of the technology involved, tie-ins may be the preferred form of trade. Such transactions play the role of specific insurance in case the technology purchased proves to be of substandard quality. Tie-in transactions are a reliable signal of the quality of capital goods if there is an information asymmetry between the seller and the buyer. They represent a rational response to conditions limiting market exchange.

Opis:
Traditional use of dynamic time warping for signature verification consists of forming some dissimilarity measure between the signature in question and a set of "template signatures". In this paper, we propose to replace this set with the hidden signature and use it to calculate the normalized errors of signature under verification. The approach was tested on the MCYT database, using both genuine signatures and skilled forgeries. Moreover, we present the real-world application of the proposed algorithm, namely the complete biometric system for authorizing payment transactions. The authorization is performed directly at a point of sale by the automatic signature verification system based on the hidden signature.

The article presents practical aspects of the functioning of the Act on payment dates in trade transactions (of 12th June 2003 and of 8th March 2013), focusing on conditions and judicature related to the public finance sector. The article concentrates, in the first place, on issues related to types of contracts to which these regulations apply, and on the rights of creditors towards debtors who do not meet payment deadlines set out in the Act. The most important provisions of the directive of the European Parliament and Commission are also referred to in the article, related to fighting delays in trade transaction payments (of 29th June 2000 and 16th February 2011) in the context of their implementation in the Polish law.

Purpose of the following article is to draw attention to importance of the electronic land and mortgage register for the security of real estate transactions. From 1 January 2015 all paper land and mortgage registers were replaced with the modern information system, which changed the way of carring on the land and mortgage registers. The article presents reasons that leads to the conclusion that the new system of the land and mortgage register result in the increase of security of real estate transactions. This conclusion precedes analysis of regulations concerning carring on the electronic land and mortgage register, construction of the electronic land and mortgage register and construction of the system of the New Land and Mortgage Register.

Research background: Endogenous money creation is an inherent feature of today?s economies and widely accepted phenomenon. As the various theories of money rely on the money quantity equation, most empirical research is heading towards the analysis of the two-way relationship between the quantity of money and nominal GDP. In today's world, with the extraordinary development of the financial sector, money is used not only for transactions in the real economy, but increasingly also for purchasing financial assets. This observation was absorbed by Werner in the quantity theory of disaggregated credit. Purpose of the article: The aim of the paper is to join the debate on endogenous character of money supply by tasting a disaggregated equation of money. It assumes that the domestic money supply is positively determined not only by growth in GDP-based transactions but also by growth in non-GDP-based transactions (financial transactions). Additionally, it is assumed that in the age of globalization it can be also positively influenced by the global liquidity.  Methods:  Testing of the above-mentioned hypotheses takes place with the use of panel unit roots tests, panel Granger causality test and panel estimations (OLS, models with fixed/random effects, GMM). In the study, annual data from 2002 to 2018 for OECD countries were chosen for statistical research. Findings & value added: The article confirms the hypothesis that real and financial economic activity together with global liquidity positively influence domestic credit and thus money supply. As the amount of money in an economy is driven not only by the real economy but also by the financial economy, prudential regulations that restrict leverage (and thus control the amount of credit) and limit risk-taking during price bubbles periods should be therefore considered. In the research, the reaction of domestic money supply to the changes in US money supply is positive. It confirms the importance of spill-over effect of expansionary policy in major economies to other economies.

Motywacja: Szara strefa ciągle pozostaje problemem niewystarczająco zbadanym, a mającym bardzo duży i negatywny wpływ na funkcjonowanie gospodarki. Stanowi problem nie tylko dla budżetu państw, ale także jedno z zagrożeń dla legalnie działających przedsiębiorstw. Cel: Celem głównym artykułu jest identyfikacja szarej strefy z uwzględnieniem przyczyn jej rozwoju. Jako cel szczegółowy przyjęto wskazanie metod walki z szarą strefą w zakresie ograniczania skali nierejestrowanych transakcji. Materiały i metody: W artykule wykorzystano analizę źródeł wtórnych, a także literatury przedmiotu. Wyniki: Na podstawie przeprowadzonej analizy można uznać, że problem istnienia szarej strefy w gospodarce jest ciągle aktualny. Jedną z metod walki z szarą strefą, szczególnie w obszarze skali nierejestrowanych transakcji, są działania promujące rozwój obrotu bezgotówkowego. Zwrócono także uwagę na możliwość blokowania rozwoju obrotu bezgotówkowego przez przedsiębiorstwa działające w szarej strefie. Problem ten wymaga jednak pogłębionych, kompleksowych badań w przyszłości.
Motivation: The shadow economy is still an insufficiently researched problem that has a very large and negative impact on the functioning of the economy. It is a problem not only for the state budget, but also one of the activities for legally operating enterprises. Aim: The main aim of the article is to identify the shadow economy, taking into account its development. The specific aim is to indicate the methods of combating the shadow economy in reducing the scale of unregistered transactions. Materials and methods: In the article the analysis of secondary sources as well as the literature on the subject was used. Results: Based on the conducted analysis, it can be concluded that the problem of the existence of a shadow economy in the economy is still current. One of the methods of combating the shadow economy, especially in the area of unregistered transactions, are activities that promote the development of cashless transaction. Attention was also paid to the possibility of blocking the development of non-cash transactions by enterprises operating in the shadow economy. However, this problem requires in-depth, comprehensive research in the future.

The scientific consciousness which broke with the holistic perception of life is credited with "unweaving the rainbow," or disenchanting the world. No longer perceived as sacred, the non-human world of plants and animals became a site of struggle for domination and mastery in implementing humankind's supposedly divine mandate to subdue the earth. The nature poetry of Denise Levertov is an attempt to reverse this trend, reaffirm the sense of wonder inherent in the world around us, and reclaim some "holy presence" for the modern sensibility. Her exploratory poetics witnesses to a sense of relationship existing between all creatures, both human and non-human. This article traces Levertov's "transactions with nature" and her evolving spirituality, inscribing her poetry within the space of alternative-or romantic-modernity, one that dismantles the separation paradigm. My intention throughout was to trace the way to a religiously defined faith of a person raised in the modernist climate of suspicion, but keenly attentive to spiritual implications of beauty and open to the epiphanies of everyday.

Z chwilą przystąpienia Polski do Unii Europejskiej nastąpiła radykalna zmiana zasad opodatkowania podat-kiem VAT wymiany handlowej pomiędzy podatnikami VAT w Polsce a podatnikami tego podatku w poszczególnych państwach Unii Europejskiej, co jest związane ze zniesieniem granic celno-podatkowych pomiędzy Polską jako członkiem Unii Europejskiej a pozosta-łymi państwami członkowskimi Unii Europejskiej.
In connection with Poland's entry to the European Union Polish legislation in the field of VAT tax has been changed in order to adjust it to the European Union precepts. Poland's entry to the European Union is connected with a radical change of taxation precepts of trade exchange between Polish VAT taxpayers and VAT tax payers in countries of the European Union. It is strictly related to the abolition of customs-tax borders between Poland and membership countries of the European Union.

In a deregulated electricity market, it is important to dispatch the generation in an economical manner and to ensure security under different operating conditions. In this study evolutionary computation based solution for optimal power flow is attempted. Social welfare optimization is taken as the objective function, which includes generation cost, transmission cost and consumer benefit function. Transmission cost is calculated using Bialek’s power flow tracing method. Severity index is applied as a constraint to measure the security. The objective function is calculated for pre and post contingency periods. Real power generations, real power loads and transformer tap settings are selected as control variables. Different bilateral and multilateral conditions are considered for analysis. A Human Group Optimization algorithm is used to find the solution of the problem. The IEEE 30 bus system is taken as a test system.

The compensatory transactions in the contemporary world economy become an important element of foreign trade and other forms of international cooperation such as joint ventures, licensing contracts, franchising or turnkey contracts. There are a lot of causes of these tendencies, for example: foreign-currency restrictions, difficult financial situation, economic stagnation, difficulties in access to the markets of developed capitalist, countries and protectionist policy. It should be noted that many capitalist enterprises (especially international corporations), using compensatory transactions realize their aims on a large scale. The economic cooperation East-West is a sphere of special development of compensatory transactions. Active involvement of socialist countries in the international labour division, wide use of capital and financial markets, import of modern technology, conversion of licences and development of industrial cooperation are conducive to creating agreements on the compensatory principle.

Cloud computing has become a significant area forbusiness due to the high demand from people engaging in commerce and hence, protecting the entities from attacks, like Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks is essential. Therefore, an effective DoS attack detection technique is required in the e-commerce transactions to provide security in this space. Accordingly, in this paper, a technique is developed for DoS attack detection for the e commerce transactions by proposing Glowworm Swarm Optimization-based Support Vector Neural Network (GSO-SVNN) based authorization. The user and the server, who are registered for accessing the e-commerce web, are first registered and then, authenticated based on Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) encryption with four verification levels follows. The proposed GSO-SVNN classifier, which is developed by incorporating the GSO algorithm in the training procedure of SVNN, determines the class of the user. The performance of the proposed technique is evaluated using four metrics, namely accuracy, precision, recall, and False Positive Rate (FPR), and the experimental results show that the maximum accuracy attained by the proposed DoS attack detection technique is 95.1%. This proves that the proposed technique is effective in detecting DoS attacks in e commerce applications using the proposed GSO-SVNN based authorization.

The subject of this research was the analysis of a numerical case of catastrophic destruction of a large-area military tent under the influence of a hurricane impact. As a result of the research, the level of the destructive load was identified, and the construction failure process was reconstructed. The practical effect of the work was the conclusion on the reinforcement of the structure. The calculations were made using the finite element method in the LS Dyna calculation program.

A stress tensor may be presented as a surface delimited by a stress vector located at angles α1, α2, α3 in relation to axes x, y, z. Geometrically, it outlines a domain and is linked to the loading. In this study, the area of such a surface and the volume of the domain were determined, along with their cross-sections with reference to areas and circumferences. Different stresses were also compared. This article presents cases of uniaxial, biaxial, triaxial tension and pure shear for an isotropic solid body. The analysis of a stress tensor in this conceptual work does not involve any material features, yet yields interesting results, particularly in the case of pure shear and uniaxial tension.

To examine the feasibility of the laminar boundary layer (LBL), vortex shedding (VS) tonal noise modelling using unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (URANS) was investigated for the non-symmetric S834 airfoil. A transition SST turbulence model was used to model the laminar-turbulent transition and its vital influence on the laminar bubble and hydrodynamic instabilities generation. The influence of turbulence on the unsteady vortex patterns was investigated. Hence, the hybrid aeroacoustic analysis with Lighthill analogy was conducted to obtain the acoustic pressure field. The approach allowed us to model hydrodynamic instabilities and the resulting VS tonal noise. The frequency of VS matched the experimental data, giving the same 1/3 octave tonal peak only for a limited freestream turbulence regime. The simplification of the present method did not allow us to model the aeroacoustic feedback loop, and resulted in lack of instabilities for higher freestream turbulence.

An analytical study of the strain energy release rate for an inhomogeneous beam structure with a lengthwise crack subjected to non-linear creep is developed. The beam is inhomogeneous along its length. Two cases are analysed (material with identical creep behaviour in tension and compression, and material with asymmetrical creep behaviour). Since the stress cannot be determined explicitly from the non-linear stress-strain-time relationship, an approach for obtaining of time-dependent solutions of the strain energy release rate is developed by expressing the z-coordinate as a function of the stress. The analysis indicates that the asymmetrical creep behaviour leads to an increase in the strain energy release rate.

A helicopter landing and taking off on an elevated helipad is a source of noise that affects the environment and causes vibrations of the landing pad or the building infrastructure. Vibrations are also excited by the air stream flowing through the main rotor and transferred to the landing pad by contact of the helicopter chassis. Vibrations are transferred to the building through the structure of the helipad. Depending on the damping properties of the structure and the vibro-isolating elements used, vibrations can be felt in rooms used by people and also transmitted to devices located in the building. The subject of the study described in this paper is the vibroacoustic effects of an EC-135 helicopter on an elevated landing pad during landing, standstill with the propulsion system engaged and take-off. Measurements of vibrations and noise were made at points located both on the landing pad and in the building. The paper presents selected results of measurements in various phases of flight and helicopter manoeuvres. The frequency analyses of the fragment of the measurement data for the flight phase, in which the highest levels of impact were recorded, were also performed and included. The results are presented as graphs and annotated.

The article presents the results of analysis of purchase-sale transactions concluded in the years 2007–20015 within the administrative boundaries of Uniejów. The aim of this study is to identify the types of real property being the object of purchase-sale transactions, including their locations, and to highlight the general situation on the real estate market in the analysed area.

In the paper bionics as a field of knowledge and inspiration in the aviation technologies is presented. In the introduction part definition of bionics is described. In the next part of this document the aviation technologies inspired by nature is depicted. Then, technologies inspired by the butterfly wing are presented. The paper ends with conclusions.
W niniejszej publikacji bionika jest przedstawiona jako obszar wiedzy i inspiracji w technologiach lotniczych. Bionika jest dziedziną nauki na pograniczu sztuki i biologii, która bada funkcjonowanie żywych organizmów, a także ich budowę, w celu wykorzystania uzyskanych wyników do budowy urządzeń technicznych. We wprowadzeniu została opisana definicja bioniki. W kolejnej części pracy omówiono technologie lotnicze inspirowane naturą. Następnie, są zaprezentowane technologie inspirowane skrzydłem motyla. Praca kończy się podsumowaniem.

Studium artykułu obejmuje: legislacyjny rozwój kan. 1295, znaczenie prawne kan. 1295, procedurę dokonania transakcji, która może pogorszyć stan majątkowy, stosowanie w praktyce oraz wskazanie różnic pomiędzy transakcjami, o których mowa w kan. 1295 a aktami nadzwyczajnego zarządzania. Poprzednikiem kan. 1295 KPK/1983 był can. 1533 CIC/1917. Ustawodawca nie podaje enumeratywnej listy aktów, które należy stosować zgodnie z kan. 1295, ale wskazuje, że statuty kościelnej osoby prawnej powinny być dostosowane do kan. 1291-1294. W Polsce, parafie będąc osobą prawną, nie mają własnego statutu, w zamian stosowane są statuty synodów diecezjalnych. Należy dodać, że zamysłem Coetus było, aby statuty, o których mowa w kan. 1295, były rozumiane w sensie prawa kanonicznego i konsekwentnie były uznawane przez prawo cywilne. Celem takiego sformułowania było, aby akty prawne nieważne kanonicznie były również nieważne w porządku państwowym. W literaturze prawa kanonicznego do transakcji, które mogą pogorszyć stan majątkowy kościelnej osoby prawnej wymienia się następujące rodzaje aktów: zaciąganie pożyczki, ustanowienie hipoteki lub służebności gruntowej, kredyt pod zastaw rzeczy kosztownych, zawieranie długoterminowych umów o dzierżawę lub najmu, zmiana w statusie własności (np. przekształcanie niektórych form własności w spółki), podejmowanie inwestycji finansowych z projektów unijnych.
This paper concerns the transactions which may jeopardise the patrimonial condition of the juridical person. The Author addresses the legal meaning of can. 1295 and practical examples of applying can. 1295. The content of the study shows the historical development of can. 1295, its meaning and the practical application of this norm. Can.1295 the 1983 Code has its predecessor in can. 1533 CIC/1917. The 1983 Code does not provide an enumerative list of types of acts which should be applied in accordance with can. 1295 but it does state, that the statutes of the juridical person are to conform to the requirements of can. 1291-1294. In Poland for example, parishes do not have their own statutes, but they use the statutes of the diocesan synod. For that reason, the postulate de lege ferenda should be applied in order for parishes have their own statutes, by which the requirements of can. 1291-1294 will be observed. It should be added, that the idea of Coetus for the statutes – referred to in can. 1295 – is to be understood in the sense of canon law and consequently recognised by civil law. The aim of this change is to avoid serious mismanagement: when transaction is civilly valid but canonically invalid. In canon literature, the examples of transactions which may jeopardise condition patrimonium are defined by the following acts: borrowing money; taking out certain mortgages or pledging valuable items as collateral to secure the repayment of a loan; entering into long-term leases; change of status in ownership such as turning over certain property or work to lay management boards; making investments financed by EU projects. These are purely examples of legal acts, as the formulation of a complete list may lead to confusion, as it depends upon the potential impact on the patrimony of the ecclesiastical juridical person.

This paper is devoted to the stepped sandwich beam with clamped ends subjected to a uniformly distributed load. The bending problem of the beam is formulated and solved with consideration of the classical sandwich beam of constant face thickness. Two differential equations of equilibrium based on the principle of the stationary potential energy of the classical beam are obtained and analytically solved. Moreover, numerical-FEM models of the beams are developed. Deflections for an exemplary beam family with the use of two methods are calculated. The results of the study are presented in figures and tables.

A six-node triangular element is presented in this paper for structural analysis. With this approach, the approximation functions of the interpolation strategy are given by using the double interpolation procedure, which includes nodal values as well as averaged nodal gradients. The numerical results are, therefore, achieved following the proposed element. The efficiency of this element and its comparison is described by some fundamental examples. Better numerical solutions and smoother distributions of stresses not achieved by the standard elements will be provided when using this element. The computational time is also presented to overview the pros and cons of the proposed element. In fact, the new element’s computational time is higher than that based on the standard element because of the double interpolation procedure, but one does not need post-processing of any smoothing operation.

Rail corrugation is a significant problem not only in heavy-haul freight but also in light rail systems. Over the last years, considerable progress has been made in understanding, measuring and treating corrugation problems also considered a matter of safety. In the presented research, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are used to identify the occurrence of rail corrugation in light rail systems. The paper shows that by simultaneously measuring the vibration and the sound pressure, it is possible to identify the rail corrugation with a very small error.

In recent years, a significant number of one- and two-seat lightweight helicopters have come into existence, and this makes it possible to analyse parameters and determine dependencies for this class of helicopters. The knowledge of such dependencies is necessary at the preliminary design stage. The analysis performed in this paper and its comparison with the statistical data of all categories of helicopters made it possible to determine the necessary corrections in the methods of determining the parameters of the helicopter’s rotor systems.

Noise generated by helicopters is one of the main problems associated with the operation of rotorcrafts. Requirements for reduction of helicopter noise were reflected in the regulations introducing lower limits of acceptable rotorcraft noise. A significant source of noise generated by helicopters are the main rotor and tail rotor blades. Radical noise reduction can be obtained by slowing down the blade tips speed of main and tail rotors. Reducing the rotational speed of the blades may decrease rotor thrust and diminish helicopter performance. The problem can be solved by attaching more blades to main rotor. The paper presents results of calculation regarding improvement of the helicopter performance which can be achieved for reduced rotor speed but with increased number of rotor blades. The calculations were performed for data of hypothetical light helicopter. Results of simulation include rotor loads and blade deformations in chosen flight conditions. Equations of motion of flexible rotor blades were solved using the Galerkin method which takes into account selected eigen modes of the blades. The simulation analyzes can help to determine the performance and loads of a quiet helicopter with reduced rotor speed within the operational envelope of helicopter flight states.
Hałas generowany przez śmigłowce jest jednym z głównych problemów związanych z eksploatacją wiropłatów. Wymagania ograniczenia hałasu śmigłowców znalazły odzwierciedlenie w przepisach zakładających zmniejszenie hałasu wytwarzanego przez wiropłaty. Znaczącym źródłem hałasu generowanego przez śmigłowce są łopaty wirnika nośnego oraz śmigła ogonowego. Znaczące obniżenie hałasu może być uzyskane w wyniku zmniejszenia prędkości końcówek łopat wirnika i śmigła ogonowego. Zmniejszenie prędkości obrotowej łopat pociąga za sobą spadek wytwarzanego ciągu wirnika i zmniejszenie osiągów śmigłowca. Rozwiązaniem problemu może być zastosowanie większej liczby łopat wirnika. W pracy przedstawiono obliczeniowe wyniki dotyczące możliwych do uzyskania osiągów śmigłowca przy obniżonej prędkości obrotowej wirnika i zwiększonej liczbie łopat. Obliczenia przeprowadzono dla danych masowych hipotetycznego śmigłowca lekkiego. Wykonano symulacyjne obliczenia obciążeń wirnika i odkształceń łopat w kilku stanach lotu śmigłowca rozwiązując równania ruchu elastycznych łopat wirnika z zastosowaniem metody Galerkina przy uwzględnieniu wybranych postaci własnych łopat. Uwzględniono możliwość regulacji obrotów wirnika w zależności od stanu lotu. Przeprowadzone analizy mogą znaleźć zastosowanie przy określaniu parametrów wirnika cichego śmigłowca ze zmniejszoną prędkością wirnika dla obwiedni stanów lotu śmigłowca.

Recent years have witnessed the emergence of digital currencies - digital representations of value which are transferred using IT technologies and used as a medium of exchange but are not recognised as official means of payment. Bitcoins are one of such currencies and their popularity in Europe and in Poland has been growing. Hence it is a good time to consider to what extent Polish law is prepared to face the phenomenon and what potential problems may arise from it for the judicial system. The main objective of the paper is to analyse Polish tax regulations in the context of bitcoin transactions, as broadly understood.
W ciągu ostatnich lat można zaobserwować zjawisko cyfrowych walut - cyfrowych reprezentacji jakiejś wartości, które przekazywane są za pośrednictwem technologii informatycznej i są stosowane jako środek wymiany, ale nie mają statusu oficjalnego środka płatniczego. Jednym z rodzajów takich walut są bitcoiny, które stają się coraz popularniejsze w Europie i także w Polsce. Dlatego warto zastanowić się czy polskie prawo jest przygotowane na to zjawisko i zastanowić się jakie ewentualne problemy mogą nastąpić w praktyce wymiaru sprawiedliwości. Głównym celem niniejszej publikacji jest analiza przepisów polskich ustaw podatkowych w kontekście szeroko rozumianego obrotu bitcoinami.

We investigate the dynamic behavior of a rectangular orthotropic plate loaded with the concentrated force moving with constant speed along the structure. In this work, we consider two types of plates in terms of boundary conditions. In the first case, we assume that the plate is simply supported on all of its edges with a number of point supports arbitrarily located in its area, and in the second one, we look at a two-span bridge plate with arbitrarily oriented intermediate linear support. Solutions for both cases are obtained by replacing the original structure with a single-span plate subjected to a given moving load and redundant forces situated in positions of removed intermediate supports. Redundant forces are obtained by the application of Volterra integral equations for the simply supported plate, and finite difference discretization and the Newmark method for the bridge plate. Two numerical examples are given to prove the effectiveness of the presented approach.

Opis:
Transakcje zagraniczne w zakresie towarów obejmują transakcje wewnątrzwspólnotowe oraz import/eksport towarów. Prawidłowa znajomość przepisów wynikających z ustawy o rachunkowości, prawa podatkowego oraz celnego, pozwala na właściwe ujmowanie transakcji zagranicznych w podmiotach w zakresie ich opodatkowania, dokumentowania oraz ewidencji księgowej. Przepisy ustawy o podatku od towarów i usług dotyczące importu i eksportu towarów, określają moment powstania obowiązku podatkowego oraz podstawę opodatkowania w zależności od przeznaczenia celnego towaru lub procedury celnej. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie znaczenia i istoty transakcji zagranicznych towarów z krajami spoza Unii Europejskiej w kontekście ich opodatkowania, dokumentacji operacji oraz ujęcia w ewidencji księgowej. Artykuł stanowi cenną wskazówkę dla praktyków rachunkowości, szczególnie w obliczuzmian, które nastąpiły w prawie podatkowym w tym zakresie w ostatnim okresie.
Foreign transactions include intra-Community transactions and import/export of goods. Proper knowledge of the provisions under the Act on accounting, taxation and customs law allows for proper recognition of foreign transactions in entities in terms of their taxation, documentation and accounting records. The provisions of the Law on VAT on the import and export of goods, determine when the tax obligation and tax base depending on the destination of the goods customs or customs procedures. The purpose of this article is to present the meaning and substance of international transactions of goods from countries outside the European Union in the context of their taxable transactions documentation and recognition in the accounting records. The article is a valuable clue for accounting practitioners, especially in the face of changes that have occurred in the tax law in this area in recent years.

This study investigates the characteristics of self-compacting concrete (SCC) reinforced with recycled fibres and their combination with polypropylene fibres, which can be applied to build protective structures. The split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) method was used to subject the mixtures to high strain rates in the range from 140 to 200 s−1, corresponding to impact loads. It was found that the strain rate sensitivity of both types of mixtures was comparable. The failure pattern confirmed the role of fibres in carrying the loads for strain rates below around 100 s−1.

The key element of safety systems in air transport is risk management. The rules for the safety of unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations are established by the Commission Implementing Regulations (European Union [EU]) and national regulations. Risk assessment is the foundation of all activities. The broadest scope is covered by the special category of flights for which the Joint Authorities for rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS) developed the Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) analysis. The primary purpose of the SORA analysis is to create a comprehensive safety portfolio, which is attached to the National Aviation Authority (NAA) application for permission to perform specific category flights. Aviation authorities may accept the use of other risk analysis methods to demonstrate risk reduced to a safe level. Easy Risk Assessment (ERA) for UASs is an attempt to determine the risk for UAS flights in a simple way by considering a range of factors influencing risk management in a similar way to the SORA. It is an uncomplicated method, which determines threats and their sources, provides risk management, and allows the determination of the level of risk tolerance. The ERA is intended to be an alternative to the SORA methodology for those looking to carry out risk assessment.

Opis:
Many proposals favouring cash abolition have emerged over the past few years. Their economic and social impact has not yet been analysed in depth. This paper aims to present the evolution of the means of payment during the last decades and to analyse the issue of cash abolition in European economies. The creation of a cashless economy would bring benefits, such as efficiency increase, as well as problems: the disturbance of money supply, instability of the foreign exchange rate, and so on. The paper discusses the reasons and arguments expressed by supporters and opponents of cash abolition and focuses on possible consequences, from the economic point of view. The advantages, disadvantages, benefits and costs associated with the possibility of removing cash from the economy are also described. Finally, a possible scenario for the future is analysed. The subject of presented analytical and numerical investigation is the stability of an axially compressed beam on an elastic foundation. The shape function of the foundation was assumed. The formula was supplemented with the offset parameter. The critical values of loads were calculated and presented as a function of geometric and mechanical properties of the beam and nonsymmetrical properties of the elastic foundation. The highest values of critical loads can be obtained for the highest values of shape parameter and the lowest values of amplitudes of shape function. The values of critical loads increase with the increase of the value of the offset parameter.

Three different optimization criteria are defined and numerically implemented concerning the strength properties of the shield, and different variants of optimization tasks are solved using both built-in optimization modules and in-house external algorithms. The non-homogeneous and non-linear mechanical behaviour of concrete complicates the numerical simulations of its corresponding material model. The concrete damaged plasticity (CDP) model is one of the most popular constitutive models for concrete. State-of-the-art CDP material parameters are introduced in Abaqus documentation [1], Jankowiak and Łodygowski [2], and Hafezolghorani et al. [3]. Accordingly, this paper presents a novel comparative study of these commonly-used concrete CDP parameters by assessing the response of plain concrete specimens under quasi-static loading conditions. The research conducts standard laboratory tests: compressive strength test of a concrete cube and three-point flexural test of a plain concrete beam. Sophisticated non-linear computational models are built using Abaqus/CAE and analysed using Abaqus/Explicit solver. The results discuss and compare deformations, damage patterns, reaction forces, compressive strength, tensile stress and modulus of rapture. The thorough study concludes that choosing CDP parameters is case-dependant and should be selected carefully.

Stokes flow of non-Newtonian fluid beyond a partially contaminated non-Newtonian fluid sphere with interfacial slip condition is considered. An analytic solution for the flow fields indicated by the stream function and the drag force over the sphere was obtained. Special well-known cases are reduced. It was observed that with an increase in slip parameter values, there is a rise in drag coefficient values.

This paper presents a mathematical model for a hydromechanical fuel governor pump, to be used in parametric diagnostics. The design and operation of the governor are described. The main requirements of the model are formulated, its structure is determined, corresponding to the specifics of the diagnostic task, and assumptions to make the model simpler are presented (single-dimensional flow and absence of heat exchange). The presented model consists of idealized elements with lumped parameters (such as pressure and mass consumption of the working fluid), accounting for the compressibility of the substance and the design arrangement of the governor (presence of mechanical rests, metering orifices of complex shapes, relay switchers, etc.). Equations of elements with lumped parameters, linked by hydraulic channels in one node, are presented. The model - a system of first-order differential-algebraic equations - is solved and the parameters of the governor pump are determined for different steady-state and transient operation modes. We compare our results to the requirements for the corresponding parameters outlined in the Engineering Specifications. The model is matched to the specifications by correcting setting parameters (tightening of elastic springs, areas of throttles, etc.), and a method of initial model linearization is developed. Based on the results, we conclude that our model can be used as a diagnostic algorithm for a governor pump, at the testing and development stages, during manufacturing, repair and maintenance.

The article describes methods of creating mechanical parts in 3D programs, together with presenting very significant issues that emerge during the designing process employed in this creation, the main goal being to show the most important factors playing a role in the design process. Resultantly, it is ascertained that the most important factors needing to be considered by a designer are, inter alia, mass of the parts, strength, and kind of material. The article indicates the different types of parts used in different load cases, the objective being to explain various aspects relevant to design. The parts were different in particular in their nature of work and purpose. The article also presents illustrations after finite element method (FEM) analysis. It was important and interesting to observe how the stress in the tested parts was distributed under load and how the structure changed when the used material changed. The stress had a very large influence for the design of every airplane part; a case in point would be the illustration available from the lever example. The main role of this article is to describe different designing factors that could help a specialist create new designs in the future.

Tworzenie się innowacyjnego społeczeństwa oraz dynamiczny rozwój nauki, technologii i nowoczesnych systemów w różnych dziedzinach życia publicznego doprowadziły do powstania dużej liczby innowacji, w tym w dziedzinie technologii finansowych (Fintech) i technologii internetowych. Takie innowacje obejmują tak zwaną kryptowalutę, która stopniowo rozprzestrzenia się na całym świecie i jest już powszechnie stosowana jako środek płatniczy. Pomimo faktu, że pierwsza kryptowaluta, Bitcoin, która po raz pierwszy pojawiła się w 2009 r., jest obecnie dość rozpowszechniona na całym świecie, wielu naukowców, ekonomistów i innych specjalistów w tej dziedzinie nadal nie jest w stanie wypracować i uzgodnić spójnego podejścia do zrozumienia prawnej natury kryptowalut, a tym samym nie nadała tej innowacji jednolitej definicji. Dla przykładu, różni specjaliści opisują Bitcoin1 i Altcoin jako kryptowaluty, waluty cyfrowe i wirtualne lub pieniądze elektroniczne. Niektórzy eksperci utożsamiają Bitcoin i Altcoin z pieniędzmi, walutą i środkami 1 Ogólna definicja innych kryptowalut pojawiła się po Bitcoinie (Ethereum, Litecoin, Monero itp.).
The article examines the issue of a legal status of cryptocurrency under the legislation of Ukraine, provides for propositions to the national laws (draft laws registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine) aimed at regulation of cryptocurrency mining and turnover within the state. The article reveals the challenges of taxation in Ukraine in the light of income that is obtained from the transactions with cryptocurrencies.

Purpose: This study identifies and analyzes the factors that impact the financial performance of companies after a merger and acquisition transaction. Methodology: As many as 130 Polish market observations were analyzed with an OLS regression model to verify the research hypotheses. Results: The results reveal that the company’s size, performance before the transaction, and its international nature translated into improvement of post-transaction financial performance. Moreover, industry diversification transactions and CEO changes in acquiring a company had a negative impact on the company’s financial performance after the transaction. Originality: This investigation is the first study devoted to the Polish market in the research field of M&A determinants with the use of such a large sample.

The article aims to present the results of analysis and evaluation of using energy clusters as a bulk electricity storage. There were developed an analytical model of a sample microgrid (on-grid) and analysed using a software dedicated for optimizing such microgrids. The model of microgrid consist on electricity commercial and residential loads, photovoltaic and wind installations and batteries.
Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników analizy i oceny wykorzystania klastrów energetycznych jako magazynu energii elektrycznej. Wykorzystując oprogramowanie do optymalizacji mikrosieci opracowano i poddano analizie przykładowy model mikrosieci współpracującej z siecią elektroenergetyczną. W modelu wykorzystano profile zużycia energii odbiorców przemysłowych i indywidualnych, instalacji fotowoltaicznych i wiatrowych oraz akumulatorów energii elektrycznej.

Mathematical models describing aerial spraying and the distribution of liquid droplets on a target were presented. Relationships based on “free models” with Gaussian distribution of droplet concentrations and “bound models” that account for the impact of disturbances in the velocity field behind agricultural aircraft were expanded, and the hybrid model too. The results of experimental studies were presented and compared with theoretical calculations. The “bound model” was found to be the most effective solution for describing the physical phenomena that accompany the aerial spraying process.

This paper proposes a solution to a certain macroeconomic model. A multi-alternative problem of aviation transportation optimal organisation in conditions of uncertainty of the subjective preference functions is considered. Conditional optimisation of the objective functional containing the entropy of the individuals’ operational effectiveness functions preferences is carried out in the framework of the simplest macroeconomic problem. The principle of the Solow and Cobb-Douglas models, likewise for economic growth, is modified with the Subjective Entropy Maximum Principle. The advantages of the described optimisation approach are demonstrated in generalised terms of the operational effectiveness functions for aviation transportation organisation.

This paper is devoted to the analytical modelling of a sandwich beam. Three models of this beam are elaborated. Two nonlinear individual shear theories of deformation of a plane cross-sections are proposed. Based on Hamilton’s principle, two differential equations of motion for each model are obtained. The bending, buckling and free flexural vibration problems of the simply-supported sandwich beam considering these three models are studied. The results of these analytical investigations are presented in tables.

This paper deals with the issue of isotropic heat conduction in thermomechanical largestrain problems. The aim of the paper is a comparison of different variants of Fourier’s law used in the literature for a large strain problem. In particular, Fourier’s law is specified either in the reference or in the deformed configuration by using different options of heat flux density vectors which are presented and discussed. The paper includes working examples to illustrate the presented theory. Moreover, different formulations of Fourier’s law are tested by using the finite element method to investigate the influence of the applied variant on simulation results. The analysis reveals that in a strongly deformed area the temperature distribution varies.

This paper presents the effect of the auxeticity on the behaviour of a plate subjected to the loss of stability. The plate structure is composed of three layers built of auxetic or conventional facings and a conventional core. The plate is loaded mechanically in the plane of facings with forces increasing in time. The main technique of the problem solution is based on the orthogonalisation and finite differences methods. Selected examples of plates were calculated with the use of the finite difference method. The obtained results allow observing the similarities and differences between plate models, whose structures are built of conventional layers or mixed layers: auxetic-foam-auxetic. Investigations complement the knowledge of the responses of the composite structures with auxetic properties. They show the possibility of using special plate structures whose materials are characterised by the negative value of Poisson’s ratio.

A non-linear mechanical model with a linear spring, a linear dashpot and a non-linear dashpot is used for studying the non-linear viscoelastic behaviour of a multi-layered inhomogeneous beam with a delamination crack. The beam with a circular cross-section is under a torsion moment that increases at a constant speed. The non-linear stress-strain-time constitutive law of the model is obtained by adding the non-linear shear strain to the strain in the linear spring and linear dashpot. Solutions of the time-dependent strain energy release rate are derived, which take into account the non-linear viscoelastic behaviour of the beam and the torsion moment rate.

The onset of stationary convection in thermal instability of porous layer saturating a Jeffrey nanofluid is studied. The behaviour of nanofluid is described by a Jeffrey fluid model and the porous layer is assumed to follow Darcy’s law. Due to the presence of the Jeffrey parameter and nanoparticles, the momentum-balance equation of fluid is modified. The linear stability analysis and normal modes analysis method are utilised to derive the dispersion relation for the Rayleigh number in terms of various parameters for free-free boundaries. The effects of the Jeffrey parameter, Lewis number, modified diffusivity ratio, nanoparticles’ Rayleigh number and medium porosity on the physical system are discussed analytically and graphically.

Opis:
European Commision adopted in July new regulations about laying down airspace usage requirements and operating procedures concerning performance based navigation. It is next step in realization of the the global program PBN ICAO. At the 36th General Assembly of ICAO held in 2007, the Republic of Poland agreed to ICAO resolution A36-23 which urges all States to implement PBN. In future aviation concepts the use of Performance Based Navigation (PBN) is considered to be a major Air Traffic Management (ATM) concept element. ICAO has drafted standards and implementation guidance for PBN in the ICAO Doc 9613 “PBN Manual”. The Based Performance Navigation Concept represents and shift from sensor-based to performance based navigation connected with criteria for navigation: accuracy, integrity, availability, continuity and functionality depending on the phase of the flight. Through PBN and changes in the communication, surveillance and ATM domain, many advanced navigation applications are possible to improve airspace efficiency, improve airport sustainability, reduce the environmental impact of air transport in terms of noise and emission, increase safety and improve flight efficiency.

In today’s world, each airline is forced to look for new savings opportunities. One of the methods may be the use of formation flights in daily flight operations, which may allow a reduction in fuel consumption by several percentages. The paper presents the genesis of how the consideration of such flights and the possibility of their implementation in an airline had started. The leader’s plane generates vortices, which, with the proper alignment of the planes to one another, can reduce the drag on the wingman. However, the wrong position may not only have no positive effect but also may be a threat to stable wingman flight. The article presents a method of using these vortices in such a way as to have a positive impact on the aerodynamics of the wingman. A favourable position in the vertical and horizontal axes will be determined in relation to the vortex generated by the leader’s plane in order to obtain the greatest benefit in reducing fuel consumption. The paper presents an operational analysis of the possibility of maintaining such a distance to obtain profit on fuel but also to ensure the highest level of safety of the flight.

In 2021, the Space Systems Laboratory of the University of Pisa (UniPi) started a student-oriented high-altitude ballooning programme intended to provide an opportunity for hands-on experience in support of the teaching of scientific and technical courses. The programme provides mentoring on scientific, technical and management issues, along with financial support and assistance with integration and launch on a sounding balloon platform. The goal is to conduct flying experiments in the stratosphere, retrieve them after landing and process the results; by doing so, the students experience all phases of a scientific mission project, from conceptual design to realisation, operations and post-flight analysis. Following a call for proposal open to all students of the UniPi across all study areas, three experiments were selected featuring multidisciplinary teams. This paper summarises the features of the programme’s first edition and presents the main lessons learned.

The most common solutions for rocket engines are the single operation point (thrust level) units. Oxidiser and fuel mass flow rates and the oxidiser-to-fuel mass flow rate ratio (OFR) are some of the determinants of the thrust level. Based on these, planetary ascent and descent; space rendezvous; orbital manoeuvring, including orientation and stabilisation in space; hovering, hazard avoidance during planetary landing; and ballistic missile trajectory control propulsion systems could use throttleable liquid engines. Several engine throttling methods, such as supply pressure variation and variable injector area, can be applied. Among others, a cavitating venturi propellant regulatory valve is one of the most promising throttling method. This type of valve can provide steady mass flow, despite the downstream pressure disturbance (i.e. from the combustion chamber), which sustains a stable engine thrust as the mass flow is kept. The article presents the valve sizing method, design and prototype test results of the cavitating venturi valve that has potential for utilisation in a deep throttling rocket engine. Mass flow stability and repeatability are presented for valve operating points in the 10%-110% nominal mass flow range. Valve design optimisation, based on CFD, to sustain cavitation for a higher downstream-to-upstream pressure ratio is shown.

Article highlights practical issues concerning temperature measurements using thermal sensitive paint (abbrev. TSP). TSP paint after blue light excitation emits red light with intensity dependent on its temperature. temperature measurements are preceded with paint calibration, according to exact experiment conditions. Purpose of calibration is to find transfer function between intensity of emitted radiation and surface temperature. to achieve this goal, special computational procedure is implemented. Devices and methodology used for paint calibration are briefly described as well as measuring sample preparation process. Short description is devoted to the procedure for calculation temperature using recorded intensity. results obtained during calibration are presented. Final conclusions about perspective of using thermal sensitive paint in laboratory are presented, as well as advantages and disadvantages of TSP method versus other methods currently used in temperature measurements.
Artykuł porusza praktyczne aspekty pomiaru temperatury za pomocą techniki farby termoczułej TSP (ang. Tthermal Sensitive Paint). Farba tego typu, po uprzednim wzbudzeniu promieniowaniem o barwie niebieskiej, emituje promieniowanie o barwie czerwonej i intensywności zależnej od jej temperatury. Właściwy pomiar temperatury poprzedza kalibracja farby, wykonywana w warunkach najbardziej zbliżonych do warunków pomiarowych. Celem kalibracji jest znalezienie zależności pomiędzy intensywnością promieniowania rejestrowanego przez kamerę a temperaturą. Specjalna procedura obliczeniowa jest używana do przeliczenia zdjęcia na pole temperatury. omówiono sposób i urządzenie użyte do kalibracji farby, jak również sposób przygotowania próbek pomiarowych. Pokrótce omówiony został sposób obliczania temperatury na podstawie zdjęć. Przedstawiono wyniki otrzymane podczas kalibracji farby termoczułej. Finalnie omówiono dalsze perspektywy użycia farby termoczułej w praktyce laboratoryjnej, jej ograniczenia i zalety w odniesieniu do innych, obecnie stosowanych metod pomiarowych.

Carbon-epoxy composite materials, due to their high strength in relation to mass, are increasingly used in the construction of aircraft structures, however, they are susceptible to a number of damages. One of the most common is delamination, which is a serious problem in the context of safe operation of such structures. As part of the TEBUK project, the Institute of Aviation has developed a methodology for forecasting the propagation of delamination. In order to validate the proposed method, an aerial structure demonstrator, modelled on the horizontal stabilizer of the I-23 Manager aircraft, was carried out. However, in order to carry out the validation, it was necessary to "simplify" the demonstrator model. The paper presents a numerical analysis conducted in order to separate from the TEBUK demonstrator model a fragment of the structure, which was used to study the delamination area, as an equivalent of the whole demonstrator. Subcomponent selection was carried out in several stages, narrowing down the analysed area covering delamination in subsequent steps and verifying the compliance of specific parameters with the same parameters obtained in a full demonstrator model. The parameters compared were: energy release rate values on the delamination front line and strain values in the delamination area. The numerical analyses presented in the paper were performed with the use of the MSC.Marc/Mentat calculation package. As a result of the analyses, a fragment of the structure was selected, which allows to significantly reduce the time and labour consumption of the production of the studied object, as well as to facilitate experimental research.
Węglowo-epoksydowe materiały kompozytowe ze względu na ich wysoką wytrzymałość w stosunku do masy są coraz częściej wykorzystywane do budowy struktur lotniczych, są jednak podatne na szereg uszkodzeń. Jednym z najczęściej spotykanych jest delaminacja, która stanowi poważny problem w kontekście bezpieczeństwa eksploatacji takich struktur. W Instytucie Lotnictwa w ramach projektu TEBUK opracowano metodykę, pozwalającą prognozować propagację rozwarstwień. W celu walidacji zaproponowanej metody wykonano demonstrator struktury lotniczej, wzorowany na stateczniku poziomym samolotu I-23 Manager. Jednak do wykonania walidacji niezbędne okazało się „uproszczenie” modelu demonstratora. W artykule przedstawiono analizę numeryczną, przeprowadzoną w celu wyodrębnienia z modelu demonstratora TEBUK fragmentu struktury, który wykorzystano do badania obszaru delaminacji, jako ekwiwalent całego demonstratora. Wytypowanie subkomponentu przeprowadzono w kilku etapach, zawężając w kolejnych krokach analizowany obszar obejmujący delaminację i weryfikując zgodność określonych parametrów z tożsamymi parametrami uzyskanymi w modelu pełnego demonstratora. Porównywanymi parametrami były: wartości współczynnika uwalniania energii (WUE) na linii frontu delaminacji oraz wartości odkształceń w obszarze delaminacji. Prezentowane w pracy analizy numeryczne wykonano za pomocą pakietu obliczeniowego MSC.Marc/Mentat. W rezultacie przeprowadzonych analiz wytypowano fragment struktury pozwalający w znacznym stopniu ograniczyć czasochłonność i pracochłonność wytwarzania badanego obiektu, a także ułatwić przeprowadzenie badań eksperymentalnych.

In-service non-destructive inspection (NDI) is a very important part of the aircraft maintenance program that minimizes aircraft breakdowns due to the fracture of critical components. The eddy current (EC) NDI method is one of the most applicable methods for this purpose, due to its high sensitivity to fatigue cracks and corrosion damage in the main structural materials. In this paper, selective double differential type EC probes characterized by the enhanced possibility of detecting subsurface cracks initiated by fatigue or stress corrosion phenomena are presented. For different applications, a family of double differential type EC probes was developed with different sizes (from 5 to 33 mm) and different spatial resolutions. These types of probes are characterized by different operational frequencies in a wide frequency range (from 0.2 kHz to 1.0 MHz), high penetration depth and unique sensitivity to subsurface defects of different types (like elongated fatigue cracks or local corrosive pitting), and a high level of specific noise suppression concerned with the scanning inspection procedures. The EC probes proposed were investigated as effective tools for characteristic aircraft applications concerned with subsurface defect detection in multilayer structures, such as the detection of cracks in the second layer of a riveted two-layer structure or cracks initiated on the side surface of a multilayer structure with the suppression of the reinforcing hoop influence; the detection of subsurface defects in arc welding with a rough surface; the detection of cracks through repair patches fabricated from aluminum alloy or carbon fiber reinforced plastic, etc. These techniques create remarkable possibilities for the well-timed detection of dangerous damage without disassembling the aircraft structure or removing protective coating.

In recent years, a large number of one- to two-seat-type helicopters have appeared, raising the possibility to determine the dependencies inherent in these classes. Such dependencies are extremely necessary at the preliminary design stage, in particular, for determining the fuel mass. The relative mass of fuel depends on the required range and flight time of the helicopter, as well as on the characteristics of the engine and the required power of the helicopter. Based on statistical data, the article presents an approximate relation of the hourly fuel consumption of engines that small helicopters are equipped with. The additional amount of fuel required to complete missions has also been determined. General dependency of the fuel weight that can be used at the preliminary design stage is presented according to the analysis results.

The article presents the validation of two methods for analyzing the aerodynamic properties of the aircraft wing concerning aeroelastic effects. The first method is based on low-cost computational models (Euler-Bernoulli Beam Model and Vortex Lattice Method [VLM]). Its primary objective is to estimate the wing’s deformation early in the design stages and during the automatic optimization process. The second one is a method that uses solutions of unsteady Navier-Stokes equations (URANS). This method suits early design, particularly for unconventional designs or flight conditions exceeding low-fidelity method limits. The coupling of the flow and structural models was done by Radial Basis Functions implemented as a user-defined module in the ANSYS Fluent solver. The structural model has variants for linear and nonlinear wing deformations. Features enhancing applicability for real-life applications, such as the definition of deformable and nondeformable mesh zones with smooth transition between them, have been included in this method. A rectangular wing of a high-altitude long-endurance (HALE) aeroplane, built based on the NACA 0012 profile, was used to validate both methods. The resulting deflections and twists of the wing have been compared with reference data for the linear and nonlinear variants of the model.

Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS)-based strapdown navigation systems offer advantages such as small size, low cost and minimal power consumption. However, MEMS sensors are prone to significant low-frequency noise and poor bias repeatability, which can lead to navigational errors over time. These errors make them unsuitable for autonomous navigation applications, even with frequent recalibration. One way in which to solve this problem is by using the rotation modulation (RM) method. This approach is widely recognised but has only been successful with precise laser and fiber optic gyroscopes equipped with precise rotating platforms. This article focuses on the potential of adapting the RM method for the case of inexpensive MEMS sensors that can significantly improve navigation performance, while maintaining the benefits of microelectromechanical technologies. Potential issues of implementation were discussed, and corresponding requirements were formulated. The proposed optimal computation scheme was verified during static tests of the developed inertial measurement unit (IMU). Further steps in studying the adaptation of the RM method for MEMS sensors have also been outlined.

Opis:
Selective laser melting (SLM) is one of the most effective methods of additive manufacturing (AM). It is used to manufacture products with very complex geometries using a wide range of materials. Practical process conditions are limited by the occurrence of undesirable melting instabilities that degrade the surface quality and lead to product defects. These disadvantages are related to the thermal limitations of the SLM process. The lower thermal limit is due to the need to completely melt the powder layer and partially remelt the underlying layer again to ensure proper bonding between the layers. Exceeding the upper thermal limit in the molten metal pool may cause extensive evaporation, boiling and ejection of molten metal droplets outside the melting area. The article presents an approach and methodology that enable the determination of thermal limits and the operating window of SLM/selective laser sintering (SLS) processes in a relatively simple way. The studies have been performed using various settings of SLM process parameters. The usefulness of the preliminary determination of thermal limitations and approximate prediction of operating window of SLM has been confirmed experimentally and by more accurate computer simulation.

An intensified process of internationalization of businesses of national enterprises in connection with opening of economies of other countries to an international cooperation emphasizes the importance of a contracting party who is mainly responsible for the success of transactions. The activity of enterprises on the global market is accompanied by a multi-dimensional risk of a diverse character and intensification. This article describes one of the elements conected with a transaction risk in a foreign trade, namely delays in payments on the side of foreign purchasers. For this purpose results of a research carried out in June 2014 were used. The research was performed by Atradius Credit Insurance N. V. Joint Stock Company, under the name Payment Practices Barometer, International Survey of B2B Payment Behaviour. The article specifies main reasons of occuring of outstanding settlements and practices of Polish entrepreneurs aiming at reducing the risk of a non-payment, as well as actions taken when payments are delayed. Consequences of defaults in payments substantially endanger the activity of enterprises, the cause a deterioration of a financial liquidity, sometimes they even become the reason of enterprise's bankruptcy. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain accurate an objective information allowing to assess a contracting party's credibility and solvency. The only solution is to take up cooperation with specialized domestic and foreign institutions rendering such services.

According to the applicable regulations, in the case of a decision on the location of an investment consisting in the construction and commissioning of a helicopter landing field, it is necessary to carry out an environmental impact assessment. At the same time, due to the emission of noise related to the expected change of acoustic climate parameters, the indicators required under the applicable law related to building acoustics and also impact of vibration on the structure of buildings should be taken into account. The article discusses particular groups of issues related to the assessment of the impact of helicopter landing field on the environment and the hospital building. On the basis of the presented results of analyzes, a postulate concerning the necessity of introducing a comprehensive assessment methodology, including specific groups of issues, was formulated.

Tensile tests were carried out on three series of composite samples according to the ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials). The materials tested were characterised by using the same manufacturing method. The specimens were hand-laminated using MGS L285/H285 epoxy resin. The feature that differentiates the structure of each laminate series is the type of reinforcement. A biaxial fabric IMS65 CTLX with a 0/90 arrangement was used to reinforce the C-series composite specimens; for the D-series, a symmetrical fabric Interglass 02037 with a 0/90 weave was used, and for the e-series specimens, a modular fabric IMS65 with a 45 weave was used. The share of composites in the manufacture of construction products is steadily increasing. This is due to the development of new technologies for manufacturing composite elements and composites, with properties that are more and more in line with the requirements of the industry resulting from technological progress. Composite products have to meet many performance requirements. Tensile testing is used to determine some of the key mechanical properties of laminates. Fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites have been used in various engineering structures for many decades. Their unique physical and mechanical properties make them a well-known, most produced and most widely used type of composite materials. In the case of fibre composites, it is the fibres that take over the basic stresses and are responsible for achieving the appropriate stiffness and strength, while the matrix ensures optimum use of the properties of the fibres and gives shape to the manufactured element. The mechanical properties of the composite and its failure process are fundamentally dependent on the high strength of the fibres, the stiffness of the matrix and the strength of the fibre-matrix interface.

The main goal of this study is to present the effects of spraying parameters on the numerical evaluations of the fundamental behaviors of an air-assisted spray gun during the formation of child droplets in the spray flow field and material deposition on the target surface. For this purpose, first of all, the air-assisted spray gun geometry was created using the Solidworks software. Then, a computational domain with a 3D, unstructured grid structure was generated using the ANSYS-Workbench meshing tool. Numerical calculations were conducted using ANSYS-Fluent 2020-R2 commercial software. Different breakup models and their effects on the child droplet size were investigated. By coupling the Taylor analogy breakup (TAB) model and discrete phase model (DPM), the droplet size, trajectory, and coating thickness calculations were made under different atomizing air pressures. Also, the effects of spraying distance and droplet size on coating thickness and the critical Weber (We) number on the atomized particle diameter and particle speed were investigated. The results show that with the increase in atomizing air pressure, droplet sizes decrease and the film thickness on the center of the target surface and droplet speeds increases. Also, increasing the critical Weber number makes it more difficult to atomize the droplets.

The concept of symmetry was introduced already by the ancient Greeks in relation to spatial (geometric) systems. They understood it as commensurability and proportionality and linked it with the aesthetic categories of harmony and beauty. A spatial system (object) was considered symmetric if it consisted of regular, repeatable parts of comparable size, creating a coordinated, ordered, larger whole. Only two thousand years later, in the twentieth century, the essence of the concept of symmetry was identified. Symmetry is invariance (stability, durability, constancy) of a feature (geometric, physical, biological, informational, etc.) of an object (an object can here be a geometric system, a material thing, but also a natural phenomenon, physical law, social relation, etc.) after subjecting it to a set of transformations (transformations can be shifts, reflections, rotations, permutations, etc.), with respect to which symmetry is considered. The above observation led to the discovery of the universal nature of the concept of symmetry, which in a broader sense can be understood as a philosophical category, one of the fundamental regularities of mathematical character in the organization of the Universe. The contemporary understanding of symmetry has led to significant and nonobvious conclusions. For example, it turned out that the invariance (symmetry) of the laws of motion with respect to the shift in time is equivalent to the necessity of the existence of the principle of conservation of energy, the invariance (symmetry) of the laws of motion with respect to the shift in physical space proves to be equivalent to the existence of the principle of conservation of momentum. The Report provides an outline of the general formal language of symmetry applicable to the study of any situation in which this concept appears. The key elements of the mathematical apparatus of the algebraic theory of symmetry are defined and discussed, the notions of Γ-sets, orbits, orbital markers, invariants, and invariant functions. They provide versatile tools enabling the analysis of all types of symmetries. The Report concisely presents important results of the theory of symmetry, such as: the ornament principle – expressing the most straightforwardly the innermost property of complex symmetrical objects, the representation theorem for symmetric objects, the theorem on the symmetry of causes and effects of physical laws, the theorem on invariant extension of any function.

Nasza szeroka i kompleksowa praca uzupełnia literaturę polską w tym zakresie.Cel artykułu: Celem artykułu jest zbadanie wpływu ujawnienia informacji o transakcji insiderów na zmianę ceny akcji. Zbadaliśmy wpływ podania informacji o zmianie posiadania akcji przez prezesa zarządu, członków zarządu, przewodniczącego rady nadzorczej lub członków rady nadzorczej (zwanych w tej pracy łącznie insiderami) na kurs spółek notowanych na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie (GPW).Metody badawcze: Badanie przeprowadzone zostało za pomocą metody event studies i analizy statystycznej z wykorzystaniem programowania informatycznego do obliczeń i analizy danych. Analizie poddano okres 10,5 roku: od 1 stycznia 2010 roku do 16 lipca 2020 roku, w którym wzięliśmy pod uwagę komunikaty ESPI podawane przez spółki z głównego rynku GPW. W badanym okresie spółki notowane na GPW wydały ponad 400 tys. komunikatów ESPI, z których kryteria założone do badania spełniały łącznie 743 komunikaty i te wzięliśmy pod uwagę.Główne wnioski: Badania, które zostały opisane w niniejszym artykule, potwierdzają, że opublikowane komunikaty o zmianie stanu posiadania akcji przez insiderów stanowią istotne informacje dla inwestorów inwestujących na GPW i mają znaczący wpływ na kurs akcji – są cenotwórcze.
Theoretical background: Since presenting Fama’s research on market efficiency, scientists have been investigating any anomalies that interfere with market efficiency. The use of information asymmetry by insiders is just such an anomaly. A lot of scientific papers have been written in which the impact of insider transactions on the rates of return was described. Our extensive and comprehensive work completes Polish literature in this area.Purpose of the article: The purpose of this article is to investigate the impact of disclosing information about insider deals on the movement of the share price. We examined the impact of the disclosure of information about the change in shareholding by the president of the management board, members of the management board, chairman of the supervisory board, or members of the supervisory board (collectively referred to in this work as insiders) on the price of companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE).Research methods: The study was carried out using the method of event studies and statistical analysis with the use of computer programming for calculations and data analysis. The analysis covers the period of 10.5 years: from January 1, 2010 to July 16, 2020, in which we took into account ESPI announcements issued by companies from the WSE main market. During the audited period, companies listed on the WSE spent over 400,000 ESPI messages, 743 of which met the criteria for the study, and we took these into account.Main findings: The research described in this article confirms that the published announcements about the change in share ownership by insiders constitute important information for investors investing on the WSE and have a significant impact on the share price – they are price-setting.

The Saint-Venant torsion of the Cartesian orthotropic homogeneous linearly elastic bar is considered. The cross-section of the prismatic bar is an isosceles right-angled triangular plane domain. An approximate analytical method is presented to obtain Prandtl’s stress function, shearing stresses, and torsional rigidity. Upper and lower bounds for the torsional rigidity are provided. The obtained results for shearing stresses are verified through FEM computation.

The main aim of this paper is to improve the heat transfer in a square cavity with a body at the left wall filled with a Al2O3/water nanofluid for different geometries. Numerous simulation experiments are conducted. A relative temperature is maintained at the vertical and top horizontal walls while the bottom wall is warm. The finite volume approach is considered to resolve the equations governing the thermal transfer flow in the physical domain based on the SIMPLER algorithm. In this study, different values of the following parameters are considered: Rayleigh number (104 ≤ Ra ≤ 105) and solid volume fraction (0 ≤ φ ≤ 0.1) of nanoparticles (NPs). Parameters, such as the Rayleigh (Ra) and Bejan (Be) numbers, thermal conductivity, body’s dimensions, and NPs volume fraction, which directly affect the entropy generation and heat transfer rate, are studied in a particular way. The obtained results show that entropy generation goes ahead with the Ra increase and inverse to the solid volume fraction increase. One can notice that the heat transfer has a proportional relation with φ and Ra.

The sustainable development of society calls for automobile engines with high efficiency and very low pollutant emission. The variable compression ratio (VCR) technique is one of the effective methods to deal with this issue. Engines with variable length connecting rod (VLEs) yield higher efficiency than other VCR engines. This paper focuses on a variable length connecting rod mechanism that achieves a VCR by changing the positions of the bottom dead center (BDC) and the top dead center (TDC) (controlled by the rotation of the eccentric sleeve) relative to the crankshaft. A kinematic model is also proposed to calculate and analyze the motion characteristics of the variable length connecting rod mechanism. The effects of eccentric size and eccentric phase on the piston motion, the TDC and BDC positions, the stroke length, the crank angles at TDC and BDC, and the compression ratio are studied in detail. It is found that the piston exhibits good motion characteristics with proper eccentric size and eccentric phase, and the compression ratio can be adjusted by varying the eccentric phase with proper eccentric size. A comparison between the proposed mechanism with another mechanism is also conducted. Therefore, this work can serve as a necessary reference for designing, analyzing, and optimizing VLEs.

This research experimentally investigates the effect of using the perforated steel plate instead of steel bars as a reinforcing system in two-way concrete slabs. The study consists of casting four slabs using self-compacting concrete. Three slabs are reinforced by a perforated steel plate and one slab is reinforced by traditional bar reinforcement. The amount of steel in both types of reinforcement is equal. The slabs are tested under a monotonic concentrated load at their middle point. The results show a significant enhancement in behavior. The ultimate load increased about 43% to 76%, depending on the size of the openings. Moreover, the final crack width in all slabs reinforced by a perforated steel plate was smaller than in the slab reinforced by a traditional steel bar. The results of this study may be used in future research to introduce a method that will lead to an improvement in the overall behavior of two-way concrete slabs.

In this work, the state-space nonlocal strain gradient theory is used for the vibration analysis of piezoelectric functionally graded material (FGM) nanobeam. Power law relations are used to describe the computing analysis of FGM constituent properties. The refined higherorder beam theory and Hamilton’s principle are used to obtain the equations of motion of the piezoelectric nanobeam. Besides, the governing equations of the piezoelectric nanobeam are extracted by the developed nonlocal state-space theory, and the analytical wave dispersion method is used to solve wave propagation problems. The real and imaginary solutions for wave frequency, loss factor and wave number are obtained and presented in graphs.

Stability and performance are crucial characteristics for aerospace vehicles. The ability to investigate the aerodynamics and performance of rockets gives an insight into their stability before flight and the potential for design and performance enhancements. For the past 13 years, the Rocketry Division within the students’ Space Association of Warsaw University of Technology has been developing sounding rockets of different designs and mission profiles. Two rockets have been chosen for the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) campaigns, FOK and Twardowsky. This paper describes the mathematical model of aerodynamic loads used by the Division for sounding rocket simulation, followed by CFD campaigns for the two rockets. The results of the CFD analysis are then used to calculate the rockets’ aerodynamic derivatives according to a previously defined mathematical model.

As global trends aim to reduce emissions of pollutants, boundary layer ingesting (BLI) propulsions are attracting more and more attention. As such, N+2 generation aircraft with propulsion placed in the aft of the aircraft are gaining in popularity. The boundary layer is formed on the fuselage before entering the engine located in the aft of the aircraft. Due to significant difficulties in performing experimental tests of BLI propulsors with full-size aircraft, distortion gauzes are one of the methods to provide the desired air velocity profile at the inlet. This paper describes a novel method of designing such gauzes, a topic which is not well covered in the existing literature. In the first stage of the presented method, single orifices of different sizes were calculated using CFD tools. The relationship between their size and the gauze resistance coefficient was identified, making it possible to model the distortion gauze using porous media. An iterative approach was used to design a gauze that meets the requirements. This is, to our knowledge, the first distortion gauze design description where a porous media model has been used. Experimental tests demonstrated that the produced distortion gauze yields a velocity profile comparable to the desired one. This indicates the great potential of using the presented approach in further research on boundary layer ingesting propulsions. It offers an opportunity to reduce substantially both the costs of experimental research and the time required to design a distortion-tolerant fan.

The paper proposes a stand that can be used for the testing of propellers and rotors with diameters up to 2.4 m, whose areas of application encompass, inter alia, vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) type multi-rotor drone systems. The presented solution allows for testing propellers in systems with electric motors. To a certain extent, it is possible to achieve an increase in the measuring range by changing electric motors, power supply systems and measuring sensors. The paper presents several solutions for test stands that can be applied in the testing of propeller parameters, and commercially available propellers have also been deployed in the testing routines. The paper briefly presents the concept of the stand and its design, as well as the principle of operation and structural calculations underlying its functioning, after which the numerical model of the test stand is explained. The article then demonstrates the particular results of the test stand model’s functioning using the EMRAX 188 electric motor and two propellers, namely a commercial Aerobat propeller and a composite propeller designed and manufactured at the Łukasiewicz - Institute of Aviation. Thus, the paper presents both the theoretical results that follow from the model and the results of experimental research.

It’s employed for diagnosing various aircraft components, necessitating diverse transducer types, excitation modes, and advanced signal processing. To improve ECNDT, this article explores integrating harmonic and impulse excitation modes in a single tool to enhance informativeness. Building upon a wireless eddy current system, the authors propose a comprehensive method for processing and displaying information suitable for object condition monitoring systems. The system includes automated transducer mode control and experimental data processing algorithms. The constant expansion of tested objects and new materials underscores the need to enhance the theoretical foundations of eddy current non-destructive testing, refine signal processing techniques, and identify informative signs. This demands the development of new automated ECNDT tools, and this article offers a promising avenue for improvement. The results include model and experimental tests of system components, showcasing the potential of this approach to enhance ECNDT effectiveness, automation, and informativeness in the realm of aircraft part diagnostics.

Notariusz, w zakresie uprawnień do dokonywania czynności notarialnych, działa jako osoba zaufania publicznego, a zdziałane przez niego zgodnie z prawem czynności mają charakter dokumentu urzędowego. Dokonując czynności, jest on obowiązany czuwać nad należytym zabezpieczeniem praw i słusznych interesów nie tylko stron, lecz także innych osób, dla których dokonywana czynność może powodować skutki prawne. Winien odmówić dokonania czynności notarialnej sprzecznej z prawem. Praca powstała na podstawie badań dokonanych metodą dogmatycznoprawną. W artykule podjęto rozważania, które doprowadziły do wniosku, że zarówno piśmiennictwo, jak i orzecznictwo kreują niekiedy zbyt daleko idące oczekiwania wobec notariusza co do sposobów i granic w zapewnieniu przez niego bezpieczeństwa obrotu. Co prawda granice aktywności notariusza jako gwaranta bezpieczeństwa obrotu prawnego są określone przez ustawę Prawo o notariacie, to jednak istniejąca w ich ramach przestrzeń powinna być przedmiotem dookreśleń jego postaw przez doktrynę i orzecznictwo w sposób, który jest możliwy do ich realizacji.A notary, within the powers to perform notarial acts, acts as a person of public trust and the acts performed by him/her in accordance with the law have the character of an administra tive document. In traditional air taxi model, flight route and timing are assigned to every order individually, resulting in minimum utilization of seats, maximum number of empty legs and elevated price levels. Sharing flights, when possible, allow decreasing number of empty seats and distributing cost of flight among customers. Challenges to overcome are varying timing needs of customers and volatility of demand. This article investigates possibilities of synchronizing passenger orders. The proposed passenger pooling model replaces specific flight timing on order with constraints: latest arrival and earliest departure to provide room for coordination of orders, backed by web-based ICT. Theoretical test cases calculation sverify the concept and compare it with traditional full on-demand and scheduled operations.
W tradycyjnym modelu działania taksówek powietrznych, trasa i czas lotu są przydzielane do każdego zamówienia z osobna, co jest przyczyną minimalnego wykorzystania miejsc, maksymalnej liczby pustych przelotów i wyższych cen. Współdzielenie przelotów, gdy tylko jest możliwe, pozwala na zmniejszenie liczby niewykorzystanych miejsc i rozdzielenie kosztów przelotu między pasażerami. Wyzwaniami pozostającymi do pokonania są różne potrzeby czasowe klientów i zmienność zapotrzebowania. W niniejszym artykule przeanalizowano możliwości synchronizacji zamówień pasażerów. W zaproponowanym modelu gromadzenia zamówień konkretne czasy oferowanych lotów zastępuje się limitami: czasu najpóźniejszy przylotu i najwcześniejszego wylotu, w celu zapewnienia pola manewru do koordynacji zamówień, wykorzystując wsparcie sieciowych technologii informatycznych. Koncepcja została zweryfikowana poprzez obliczenia dla teoretycznych przypadków testowych, pozwalających na porównanie jej z tradycyjnymi lotami na żądanie i rozkładowymi.

The idea of using the phenomenon of rotating detonation to propulsion has its roots in fifties of the last century in works of Adamson et al. and Nicholls et al. at the University of Michigan. The idea was recently reinvented and experimental research and numerical simulations on the Rotating Detonation Engine (RDE) are carried in numerous institutions worldwide, in Poland at Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) since 2004. Over the period 2010-2014 WUT and Institute of Aviation (IOA) jointly implemented the project under the Innovative Economy Operational Programme entitled ‘Turbine engine with detonation combustion chamber’. The goal of the project was to replace the combustion chamber of turboshaft engine GTD-350 with the annular detonation chamber. This paper is focused on investigation of the influence of a geometry and flow conditions on the structure and propagation stability of the rotating detonation wave. Presented results are in majority an outcome of the aforementioned programme, in particular authors’ works on the development of the in-house code REFLOPS USG and its application to simulation of the rotating detonation propagation in the RDE.
Pomysł wykorzystania zjawiska wirującej detonacji do napędu był po raz pierwszy rozważany w latach pięćdziesiątych ubiegłego wieku przez zespoły badawcze Adamsona i Nichollsa na Uniwersytecie Michigan. Badania nad silnikiem z detonacyjną komorą spalania zostały wznowione po blisko 40 latach i dziś prace prowadzone są w wielu jednostkach naukowych na świecie, a w Polsce na Politechnice Warszawskiej od 2004 roku. W latach 2010-2014 Instytut Lotnictwa oraz Politechnika Warszawska wspólnie realizowały projekt w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Innowacyjna Gospodarka ‘Silnik Turbinowy z detonacyjną komorą spalania’. Projekt zakłada zastąpienie komory spalania turbowałowego silnika GTD-350 pierścieniową komorą detonacyjną. Artykuł skupia się na badaniach numerycznych wpływu geometrii oraz parametrów przepływu na strukturę i stabilność propagacji wirującej detonacji. Przedstawione wyniki są w większości wynikiem prac autorów nad rozwojem kodu REFLOPS USG w czasie trwania projektu i koncentruje się na rozwoju i implementacji wysokowydajnych metod symulacji silnika z detonacyjną komorą spalania oraz ich zastosowaniu w symulacjach numerycznych propagacji wirującej fali detonacyjnej w silniku RDE.

High-frequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) can have a negative effect on both the human body and electronic devices. Monitoring and measurement of the electromagnetic field generated by devices is important from the point of view of environmental protection, the human body and electromagnetic compatibility. In this study, we tested the value of the electromagnetic field strength determined by the NHT3DL by Microrad with measurement probes during flights in the Robinson R44 helicopter. The reference point for the results obtained were the normative limits of the electromagnetic field permitted to affect the crew and passengers during flight. The maximum RMS values recorded during the measurements were E = 4.399 V/m in the 100 kHz-6.5 GHz frequency band and for the magnetic component H = 2.829 A/m in the 300 kHz-30 MHz frequency band. These results were passed to the Statistica 13.3 software for a detailed stochastic analysis of the values tested.

This article describes the development of a flight simulator module within the ADEMAO aircraft design framework to investigate the effects of novel airframe and propulsion technologies on new generations of aircraft. Methods used to develop and integrate the fight simulator into the overall design framework are described. The simulator is validated based on existing data from the Convair CV-880M and is then used to analyze an example case of a conceptual medium-range aircraft with advanced airframe technologies designed in the Sustainable and Energy-Efficient Aviation research cluster at the Institute of Aircraft Design and Lightweight Structures at the Technische Universität Braunschweig. Results show the deficiencies of the medium-range aircraft in short-period pitch and Dutch roll performance, and recommendations for modifications to the conceptual medium-range aircraft are drafted.

This paper includes description of the technique that was applied for free-flight (drop) tests of the rocket-plane scaled model. The main aim of the experiment was to validate the numerical approach to be used to simulate the gliding flight of the rocket-plane, especially the transition between high to low angles of attack and the rocket-plane response to control. The primary goal of this paper is to show what kind of challenges must be addressed when planning the flight test campaign. This paper includes description of how the rocket-plane model was scaled and built, the model preparation, experimental design and flight procedure. This paper shows an overview of how the experiment can be planned for different scenarios and the lessons learned during the deep stall free-flight tests.

This work aims to investigate the average tool-work interface temperature for the HSS tool and AISI 1040 steel pair. A tool-work thermocouple is proposed for the measurement of temperature because of its simple construction in addition to the low cost. The machining process of AISI 1040 steel is considered due to its extensive application, including industry usage. The changes in cutting temperature are studied for combinations of cutting speed, feed and the depth of cut during turning operation. The orthogonal array L9 by Taguchi is adopted for designing the experiments within a restricted set of runs. The average cutting temperature shows an increasing curve with functions of speed versus depth of cut and speed versus feed. But no clear trend is observed for a combination of feed versus depth of cut. A second-order regression equation with reasonable accuracy (R2 = 0.99) is fitted using the data. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) reveals the highest contribution from cutting speed, which influences average temperature at the interface of tool and work. Further, the genetic algorithm predicts an optimal combination of parameters, which is 82.542 m/min cutting speed, 0.276 mm/rev feed rate and 0.2 mm depth.

This paper is devoted to the behavior of a non-homogeneous simply supported beam under three-point bending. The individual shear deformation function of a planar cross-section is adopted, and longitudinal displacements, strains, and stresses for two parts of the beam are explained. By applying the principle of stationary potential energy, a system of two differential equations of equilibrium is derived and solved analytically. The positions of the neutral axis, shear coefficients, and deflections are then calculated for three different beam families. Additionally, the bending problem of these beams is studied numerically using the finite element method (FEM). The results of both analytical and numerical calculations are presented in tables and figures. The main contribution of this paper lies in the development of an analytical model incorporating the individual shear deformation function and a numerical FEM model for this beam.

The article concerns the analysis of the consequences of making further legal transactions with entities which should not be disclosed in public registers due to the invalidity of legal transactions on the basis of which the entry in the public register has been made. As a result of the conducted research it was found that, despite an absolutely invalid deed/founding act, the partnership/company can be disclosed in the National Court Register, and further legal transactions are valid. If the real estate is purchased on the basis of an absolutely invalid legal transaction, disclosure of the purchaser in the second section of the land and mortgage register is not covered by the principle of public credibility of land and mortgage registers. This also applies to the subsequent business real estate trading.

W 1808 roku wprowadzono na ziemiach polskich instytucję publicznego notariatu. Pierwsze transakcje zawarte w 1809 r. w Uniejowie zapisano w księdze notarialnej powiatu warckiego. Większość z akt zarejestrowanych w 1809 r. dotyczyła inwestycji jednego z najbogatszych mieszczan uniejowskich Stanisława Pieczyńskiego. S. Pieczyński zakupił wówczas 20 składów stajowych ziemi przy drodze niewieskiej oraz browar w Uniejowie. Kupił także zrujnowany dom mieszczan Ptaszkiewiczów oraz od burmistrza Uniejowa posesję dawniej należącą do miejscowego duchownego. Pieczyński przekazał również w postaci legatu znaczną sumę na utrzymanie szpitala w Uniejowie, w którym przebywali najubożsi mieszkańcy miasta. Suma ta została ulokowana na hipotece domu burmistrza. Transakcje S. Pieczyńskiego świadczą o jego zamożności pozwalającej na inwestowanie w nieruchomości i działalność dobroczynną.
In 1808, the institution of public notary was introduced on Polish territories. The first transactions conducted in 1808 were entered in the notarial register of the Warta district. The majority of those records concerned the investments of one of the richest citizens of Uniejów, Stanisław Pieczyński. He made many purchases at that time, mostly in Uniejów, including land, a brewery, a ruined house owned by burghers named Ptaszkiewicz, and a property formerly belonging to a local clergyman. S. Pieczyński also donated a large sum of money to a hospital in Uniejów which catered for the poorest inhabitants of the city. These transactions are testimony to his affluence, which allowed him for investing in real estate and for charitable actions.

In this study, the dynamic response of an Euler-Bernoulli beam resting on the nonlinear viscoelastic foundation under the action of a moving mass by considering the stretching effect of the beam’s neutral axis is investigated. A Dirac-delta function is applied to model the location of the moving mass along the beam as well as its inertial effects. The Galerkin decomposition method is used to transform a partial dimensionless nonlinear differential equation of dynamic motion into an ordinary nonlinear differential equation. Subsequently, the well-known homotopy analysis method (HAM) is employed to obtain an approximate analytical solution of this equation. The validity and accuracy of the solution are examined numerically using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. Finally, several examples are provided to show the effects of parameters such as linear and nonlinear stiffness coefficients of a viscoelastic foundation, velocity of the moving mass as well as Coriolis force, centrifugal force and inertia force of the moving mass on the dynamic deflection of the beam.

This research investigates the effect of using hard ceramic SiC particles on the mechanical and tribological properties of Al6082 alloy. This investigation is performed by mixing various contents of SiC as weight percentages of 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4% with Al6082. Mechanical tests, such as tensile strength and hardness tests, are adopted for this composite (Al6082/SiC) at various contents of the filler (SiC). Besides, the wear test is conducted for the Al6082/SiC composite at various normal loads (10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 N) and sliding distances (200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 m). Taguchi’s approach is used to create the experimental runs’ matrix. The findings reveal that the mechanical properties improved with increasing the percentage of SiC reinforcement. The tensile strength and Rockwell hardness of Al6082 increased by about 24.6 and 14%, respectively, using 4% of SiC particles. Regarding the tribological behavior, the average wear of Al6082 alloy decreased with increasing the percentage of SiC reinforcement due to higher hardness of reinforcement in Al6082/SiC composite. At the same time, an increase in the normal load and sliding distance led to a decrease in wear due to increasing plastic deformation at elevated loadings and larger area contacts.

Induction motors (IMs) have a crucial and significant role in various industrial sectors. With the prolonged operation of IMs, faults tend to develop that can be classified into five major categories, i.e., broken rotor bars, stator winding faults, air-gap eccentricity, bearing faults, and load torque fluctuations. If the faults go undetected, it may lead to catastrophic failure. Hence, the predictive-based condition monitoring technique has evolved as a real-time fault diagnosis that exploits the revolutionary idea of cyber-physical system (CPS). Furthermore, motor current signature analysis (MCSA) is a non-invasive fault diagnosis technique of a motor that can be used to investigate the presence of five fault types. However, the major constraint that industries face today is the on-field implementation of MCSA-based fault diagnosis involving CPS-based architecture, executed in an automated manner. Hence, the present article depicts algorithms that aim at real-time monitoring of IMs through a CPS framework. The proposed methodology is automated, does not involve any human intervention, and has been validated with real-time experiments, depicting its effectiveness and practicality.

Opis:
Graphite-epoxy composites have been able to meet the multiple requirements of the space industry. However, the radiation from the spatial environment and non-perfect adhesion between the fibers and the matrix can lead to the appearance of imperfections. To handle this, we use non-destructive testing by ultrasonic guided waves known for its high accuracy in detecting defects. In this article, we study the propagation of ultrasonic guided waves in a graphite-epoxy composite plate by the spectral method. First, the mathematical formalism is explained for modeling guided waves in the composite material. Next, we plot the dispersion curves of the composite plate in different orientations of the fibers with a MATLAB program and the results are compared with those of the DISPERSE software. These give us information on the modes that propagate in the structure. We elaborate and explain a technique based on displacement symmetry to distinguish between the different modes. A discussion based on time-saving and accuracy is established to show the advantages of the method. The second part of our paper consists in giving a physical meaning to the spectral displacements normalized in amplitude. We propose to normalize the spectral eigenvectors by the acoustic power. We plot the displacement and stress profiles of the guided modes and we compare our results to the analytical ones. Perfect correspondence is found, indicating the accuracy of the approach developed. In addition, a study of the vibrational state in the composite plate is established for Lamb and horizontal shear modes at a specific frequency.

In this paper, we study forced harmonic waves in a magneto-electro-viscoelastic (MEV) nanobeam embedded in a viscoelastic foundation using nonlocal strain gradient elasticity theory. The viscoelastic foundation is modeled as a Winkler-Pasternak layer. The governing equations of the nonlocal strain gradient viscoelastic nanobeam are derived using Hamilton’s principle and solved analytically. A parametric study is presented to examine the effects of physical variables on the field. It is found that the effect of strain gradient and nonlocal parameter on dimensionless amplitude and phase angle is quite important. The findings from this study highlight the significance of identifying magneto-piezoelectricity in predicting the vibration characteristics of intelligent nanostructures and elucidating the impact of humid thermal effects on nanomaterials.
