This article concerns the use of remote sensing methods to assess the potential of tourism and recreation of lakes by using unmanned aerial vehicles as a tool that offers new measurement possibilities in such difficult areas to research as river and lake systems. For the purpose of the study, air surveys over three lakes used for tourism and recreation purposes were planned and carried out. These were the following lakes: Swarzędzkie, Wolsztyńskie and Zbąszyńskie located in western Poland. The photos were taken with a RGB and a multispectral cameras. On the basis of calculated orthophotomaps and digital surface models, anthropogenic and natural values were assessed. The examples of the research show the versatile possibilities of using drones dependent on the type sensor used. Remote sensing performed from the deck of an unmanned aircraft is widely used in the study of lakes and is an alternative to existing land and water research methods.

Eastern part of "Krzywińsko-Osiecki" Landscape Protected Area is located in central part of Wielkopolska region. The land use of analyzed area is dominated by arable lands, smaller area is covered by forests. The aim of present study was to determine the current state of tourism development in Borek Wielkopolski and Piaski communes, as well as to evaluate the nature-cultural values of eastern part of "Krzywińsko-Osiecki" Landscape Protected Area. Afterwards the possibilities of tourism management were designed based on above mentioned analyses. For this purposes the calculation of tourist function's indexes, creation the map of valorization and the concept of tourism and recreation development with the aid of GIS tools were performed. The obtained results revealed, that tourist activity at Borek Wielkopolski and Piaski communes area is very low. However, eastern part of "Krzywińsko-Osiecki" Landscape Protected Area is characterized by a diversity of natural-landscape values. The proposed activities would influence on better recognition of natural values and increase of tourism attractiveness of analyzed area. Two tourist trails were proposed, as well as recreation development of water reservoir in Jeżewo and improvement of existing tourist infrastructure.

The aim of the article is to characterise suburban zones, particularly as area performing recreational and tourist functions for inhabitants of large cities (metropolises). The study presents goals and motivations, frequency and duration of recreational and tourist activity undertaken in suburban areas based on information collected from a representative group of Polish urban dwellers. The study is based on a review of the literature, the author’s observations and survey results. Essential quantitative data were obtained from a survey conducted on a representative sample of the Polish population carried out on the end of 2014 using the standardized questionnaire survey method as part of the Omnibus Express service (CATI). Most respondents contacted in the survey undertook tourist and recreational activity in the suburban zone every day or almost every day, usually accompanied by other family members. Their main intention was to rest and enjoy some recreational activities, visit relatives or friends and stay on summer holiday plots. The choice of the suburban zone was to a greater extent motivated by its tourist assets and familiarity with the area than its proximity to the place of permanent residence. Many respondents used some form of accommodation during those stays, including their own (private) summer houses, or relatives’ / friends’ flats, or hotel accommodation. The monitoring of tourist and recreational activity in Poland should be continued and should also focus on spaces used for these purposes. More extensive research would make it possible to identify patterns and trends, also at regional level. Consequently, this kind of research would facilitate a more effective planning and organization of tourism and recreation, which would bring measurable social, economic and spatial effects.

Opis:
The main objective of this paper is to identify chief areas and forms of one day leisure activity performed by Poznań Metropolis’ residents. A hypothesis was assumed that the dominant area of tourist holiday activity of interviewees is the Warta River Valley and its main creeks, and the most common form of activity is qualified tourism, nature-based tourism, physical recreation, relax and rest. Method used for hypothesis verification was a diagnostic survey, with a questionnaire interview. Research was conducted in the years 2015 and 2016, on about 1600 residents of the metropolis. The article has a research character and is about preferences in the area of using tourist holiday spaces of Poznań Metropolis. Practical implication of the article is to point out a level of activity in specific tourist holiday areas within the research scope, in order to classify these areas. Results confirmed both assumed theses. Main directions of one day recreation excursions are the Warta Valley and the valleys of rivers Główna and Cybina (especially near the Malta Lake). Preferred forms of tourist recreation are qualified tourism, nature, relaxation and physical recreation.

Purpose: The development of the tourist function is possible in attractive tourist areas. The indication of areas of tourist interest is possible, thanks to the assessment of tourist and recreational attractiveness. Conditions for the development of tourism can be described, among others using aggregated synthetic indicators. The purpose of the work is to analyze the attractiveness of the tourist and recreational space of the Bielsko County (Silesian Voivodeship, Poland). Design/methodology/approach: The research area was chosen because of its tourist potential and location in a region with exceptional natural and cultural values. The research used multidimensional comparative analysis, synthetic measures method, and questionnaire form. Findings: It has been shown that in the adopted research model, the most attractive tourist destination is the commune of Szczyrk, and the most attractive investment is the urban-rural commune of Czechowice-Dziedzice. Research limitations/implications: The results of surveys do not always coincide with the results of the multidimensional comparative analysis made using the synthetic measures method, so it is worth using various research methods to assess the attractiveness of the tourist and recreational space of a given region. Originality/value: Valorization carried out using the Gołembski synthetic metering method allowed to determine how the general conditions for the development of tourism are shaped in individual communes of the Bielsko County.

Celem pracy jest ukazanie istniejących w obrębie Częstochowy tras turystyczno-rekreacyjnych i dydaktycznych, jak również trasy opracowanej przez autora niniejszego artykułu. W pracy, mającej charakter poglądowy, omówiono cztery szlaki piesze (Szlak Orlich Gniazd, Szlak Jury Wieluńskiej, Szlak Walki 7 Dywizji Piechoty i Szlak im. druha Zygmunta Łęskiego), dziewięć szlaków rowerowych (Jurajski Szlak Rowerowy Orlich Gniazd, Jurajski Szlak Rowerowy im. Zygmunta Krasińskiego, Jurajski Szlak Rowerowy Olsztyński, Jurajski Szlak Rowerowy „Dębowcówka”, Szlak Krzepicki, Szlak Działoszyński, Szlak wokół Gór Sokolich, Rowerowy Szlak Lubliniecki i Szlak Rowerowy Przełomu Warty), szlak wodny Warty i jeden szlak samochodowy – Szlak Zabytków Techniki Województwa Śląskiego. Ponadto omówiono ścieżki dydaktyczne oraz ścieżki rekreacyjne przebiegające przez Częstochowę. Przy omawianiu szlaków turystycznych autor skupił się przede wszystkim na ich przebiegu, bez większego omawiania tego, co można zobaczyć, podążając nimi.
The aim of this paper is to present tourist, recreation and educational routes existing within Częstochowa, as well as the route developed by the author of this article. In this paper, intended for information purposes only, the following trails have been discussed: four hiking trails (Trail of the Eagles’ Nests, Wieluń Jurassic Trail, Trail of 7th Infantry Division Battle, Scout Zygmunt Załęski Trail), nine cycling trails (Jurassic Eagles’ Nests Cycling Trail, Zygmunt Krasiński Jurassic Cycling Trail, Olsztyn Jurassic Cycling Trail, “Dębowcówka” Jurassic Cycling Trail, Krzepice Trail, Działoszyn Trail, Trail around Falcon Mountains, Lubliniec Cycling Trail and Gorge of The Warta River Cycling Trail), Water Trail of the Warta River and one car trail – Trail of Technology Monuments of the Silesian Province. In addition, educational and recreation trails running across Częstochowa have been discussed. When discussing the tourist trails the author focused primarily on their course, without much discussion of what you can see by following them.

Support recreational and tourist facilities depend on local conditions and policies of the city and public transport companies. This article is not a specific case study, but presents an example of the city (communication networks) in which the service of tourist traffi c (or recreational) became the basis for the organization of public transport. The article shows that tourism and recreation can be a determinant of the creation of the line, and even communication network. However, it is very diffi cult to investigate the demand of tourism and recreation in public transport, because the supply has to stay ahead of demand, and even create it. On the other hand, a well-organized line can become a signifi cant source of income, which can lead to the maintenance of public transport and even in some cases to its development.
Turystyka i rekreacja mogą być determinantą powstania linii, a nawet sieci komunikacyjnej. Jest to jednak często determinanta bardzo słaba, podatna na różnego rodzaju wpływy zewnętrzne, w tym tak niezależne od władz miasta i przewoźnika, jak na przykład moda. Z drugiej strony, dobrze wykorzystana, może mieć niebagatelne znacznie dla komunikacji miejskiej i całego miasta. Artykuł opisuje determinanty turystyczno-rekreacyjne zarówno organizacji sieci, jak i linii, a także określa elementy niezbędne w linii komunikacji miejskiej, która ma służyć obsłudze obiektów turystycznych lub rekreacyjnych. Dodatkowo podano przykłady tego typu zjawisk. W bibliografi i obok publikacji z dziedziny socjologii czasu wolnego, socjologii miasta, turystyki zostały wykorzystane także opracowania dotyczące historii sieci komunikacji miejskiej użytych jako przykłady.

Obecnie coraz częściej spotykany jest pogląd o nowym podejściu do krajobrazów kulturowych. Z jednej strony stanowią one przedmiot ochrony w ujęciu historycznym, środowiskowym, z drugiej zaś warunkują rozwój lokalny i regionalny. Krajobrazy kulturowe decydują także o atrakcyjności turystycznej obszarów wiejskich. W pracy podano przykłady kształtowania przestrzeni turystycznej tych obszarów z kraju i za granicy, które są lub mogą stanowić istotny produkt turystyczny wspomagający rozwój lokalny i regionalny. Wskazano przy tym możliwości aranżacji przestrzeni rekreacyjnej obszarów wiejskich uwzględniając ich potencjał kulturowy, a także rozwój społeczno-gospodarczy. Przy kreacji przestrzeni rekreacyjnej duże znaczenie ma aktywizacja społeczna oraz możliwość współpracy wielu instytucji. Przestrzeń powinno się kształtować w oparciu o autentyzm miejsca, odniesienie do warunków środowiskowych, kulturowych i społecznych. Szczególna uwaga powinna być skierowana na te elementy krajobrazu kulturowego, których obecność wyrobiła w sposób trwały wizerunek krajobrazów kulturowych danego obszaru, regionu, kraju.
Current approaches to cultural landscapes are more and more often emphasising that these landscapes should be protected not only because they embrace objects of historical and environmental value, but also due to their potential for local and regional development. Cultural landscapes have influence on tourism attractiveness. The paper presents examples of cultural landscapes in Poland and abroad that have been shaped to become tourist products supporting local and regional development. It particularly demonstrates the way rural space could be developed to create tourist and recreation areas taking into consideration local cultural potential as well as possibilities of social and economic growth. What is particularly important in the development of tourist and recreation areas is active participation of local communities and possibilities of cooperation between many institutions. Space could be shaped based on local authenticity values and also in relation to environmental, cultural and social conditions. Particular attention should be drawn to those elements of cultural landscape, which are seen as the dominant factors shaping the perception of a particular landscape, region or country.

Aktywność turystyczno-rekreacyjna w dzisiejszych czasach jest bardzo istotnym elementem stylu życia. Jednak wraz z rozwojem cywilizacji, postępu techniki wzrasta odsetek osób preferujących bierny i konsumpcyjny styl życia, który nie tylko nie jest zgodny z ludzką naturą, ale wręcz hamuje prawidłowy rozwój psychiczny i fizyczny. Celem badań było stwierdzenie, czy i w jakim stopniu aktywność rekreacyjno-turystyczna studentów szczecińskich uczelni różni się zarówno w zależności od typu uczelni i płci respondentów Materiał badawczy stanowili studenci ostatnich lat Wydziału Kultury Fizycznej i Promocji Zdrowia (WKFiPZ) Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego oraz studenci ostatnich lat kierunku Lekarskiego na Pomorskim Uniwersytecie Medycznym (PUM). W badaniu wzięło udział 118 studentów obu płci: 51 z WKFIPZ i 67 z PUM. Jako metodę badawczą wybrano sondaż diagnostyczny − ankietę. Analiza wyników wykazała, że studenci WKFiPZ przeznaczają znacznie więcej czasu na aktywność fizyczną. Badane kobiety i mężczyźni preferują podobne formy aktywności fizycznej. Do podejmowania ruchu skłaniają ich te same powody, jednak dla kobiet główną przeszkodą w prowadzeniu aktywnego stylu życia jest brak czasu, a dla mężczyzn brak chęci. Studenci obu uczelni najczęściej odpoczywają czynnie nad morzem, a wybierając miejsce wypoczynku głównie sugerują się ceną i jakością usług.
Tourist and recreation activity is nowadays a very important element of the lifestyle. However, with the civilizational development, technology progress, there grows percentage of individuals preferring the passive and consumptive lifestyle which not only is inconsistent with the human nature but simply hampers the psychical and physical development. An aim of the research was to ascertain whether and to what extent tourist and recreational activity of students of Szczecin universities differed both depending on the type of school and sex of respondents. The research material was students of the last courses of the Faculty of Physical Education and Health Promotion (FPhEHP) of the Szczecin University as well as students of the last courses of Medicine in the Pomeranian Medical University (PMU). In the research there took part 118 students of both sexes: 51 from FPhEHP and 67 from PMU. The research method was a diagnostic questionnaire-based survey. The analysis of research findings has shown that FPhEHP students assign considerably more time for physical activity. The surveyed women and men prefer similar forms of physical activity. The same reasons prompt to undertake moving activities, though for women the main obstacle to lead an active lifestyle is lack of time, while for men – lack of desire. Students of both universities most often rest in an active way on the sea-side and while choosing the place for rest they are mainly guided by price and quality of services.
Туристско-рекреационная активность сегодня – весьма существенный элемент стиля жизни. Однако наряду с развитием цивилизации, прогресса в технике растет доля лиц, предпочитающих пассивный и потребительский стиль жизни, который не только идет вразрез с природой человека, но попросту тормозит правильное психическое и физическое развитие. Цель изучения – установить, отличается ли и в какой мере рекреационнотуристская активность студентов щецинских вузов как в зависимости от типа вуза, так и пола респондентов. Исследовательский материал представляли студенты последних курсов Факультета физкультуры и поощрения здоровья (WKFiPZ) Щецинского университета и студенты медицинского направления в Поморском медицинском университете (PUM). В обследовании приняли участие 118 студентов обоих полов: 51 из WKFIPZ и 67 из PUM. В качестве исследовательского метода избрали диагностический зондаж – опрос. Анализ результатов показал, что студенты WKFiPZ отводят физической активности намного больше времени. Обследуемые женщины и мужчины предпочитают сходные формы физической активности. К движениям скло- няют их те же причины, однако для женщин основным препятствием в проведении активного образа жизни является нехватка времени, для мужчин же– нехватка желания. Студенты обоих вузов чаще всего отдыхают активно на море, выбирая же место для отдыха, они в основном руководствуются ценой и качеством услуг.

Cel badań. Celem ogólnym badań było poznanie uwarunkowań uczestnictwa w surwiwalu jako formie działalności turystyczno-rekreacyjnej oraz określenie ich wpływu na rozpoczęcie i kontynuację aktywności surwiwalowej. W prezentowanym artykule autor skupił się na jednym z celów szczegółowych badań, jakim było poznanie barier uprawiania surwiwalu oraz ich znaczenie w zależności od wybranych zmiennych społeczno-demograficznych i doświadczenia w tym zakresie. Materiał i metody. Badania przeprowadzono przy użyciu samodzielnie przygotowanego kwestionariusza ankiety. Podstawę opracowania stanowiły opinie 594 respondentów. Badano uczestników wybranych imprez surwiwalowych (wybranych członków stowarzyszeń i organizacji surwiwalowych oraz zarejestrowanych członków serwisów zajmujących się tematyką surwiwalu). Wyniki. Najliczniejsza grupa badanych za największą barierę uznała brak czasu wynikający z obowiązków zawodowych, szkolnych oraz rodzinnych. Indeks braku czasu uzyskał najwyższy wynik wśród sześcioczynnikowej skali barier. Barierami mającymi związek z płcią okazały się koszty, które istotnie większe znaczenie miały dla kobiet niż dla mężczyzn. Dla ogółu badanych (niezależnie od płci) stwierdzono wysoko istotną korelację ujemną pomiędzy barierą izolacja społeczna a wiekiem. Wnioski. Surwiwal jest silnie determinowany budżetem czasu wolnego, który związany jest ze średnim czasem trwania wszystkich zajęć w ciągu doby i w konsekwencji dostępnością czasu wolnego przeznaczonego na rekreację, a także dostępnością terenów uprawiania. Znaczącą barierę stanowi problem ze znalezieniem innych osób podzielających zainteresowanie surwiwalem. Koszty zakupu sprzętu i ekwipunku nie stanowiły istotnej przeszkody w podjęciu aktywności.
Background. A growing interest in survival as a tourist and recreational activity raises the need for empirical research into this issue. Unfortunately, a vast majority of authors focus on the technical aspects of survival, ignoring the determinants of this activity. The few existing studies are usually based on observation and involve small samples. This paper will help complement the body of knowledge concerning this issue. Material and methods. Following a pilot study, the study proper was conducted with the use of a questionnaire prepared by the author. The analysis was based on the opinions of 594 respondents. The research was conducted during randomly selected survival events, among randomly selected members of survival societies and organisations and users of websites dedicated to survival. Result. The largest group of respondents identified lack of time resulting from professional, school, academic, and family duties as the greatest barrier. The lack-of-time index obtained the highest score in the six-factor barrier scale. Gender-related barriers were costs, which turned out to be of significantly higher importance for women than for men. For all respondents, and in the groups of men and women independently, a highly significant negative correlation was found between the social isolation barrier and age. Conclusions. Survival is strongly determined by the accessibility of leisure time and appropriate environment. The problem to find other people engaged in survival activity seems a significant barrier. The costs of equipment do not constitute a substantial barrier to participation.

Opis:
Alongside with the dynamic increase of Polish interest in weekend leisure tourism, one can notice a growing concentration of tourist migrations to the regions that so far have been popular as holiday destinations. What is more, one can also observe, especially among the inhabitants of large cities, the intensification of their migrations during weekends to local leisure centers and facilities which in most cases are excellently equipped in recreational devices and equipment, and which often provide high standard services. Thus, the competitiveness of typical centers of weekend leisure, already functioning or just opened, in the vicinity of large cities, including Wrocław, seems to be considerably limited in comparison to their equivalents in the cities or in holiday regions. In the article, segmentation of the offer of the selected weekend leisure centers located in the nearest vicinity of Wrocław was made. The author has also made an attempt to define the profile of tourists enjoying the services provided by those centers and assessing these centers in terms of facilities and the range of tourism services and products. In order to carry out the research, the following methods were used: local stocktaking (for defining the segmentation of the recreation offer of the selected centers) and diagnostic poll (an interview with the tourists to find out their opinions on the facilities and variety of services and products). The results of the research show, amongst others: good conditions of the analyzed centers of suburban leisure centers, justified and constructive development of their services and products, its flexibility to meet the current and potential customers’ requirements – both for the inhabitants of the suburban zone and for tourists.

Opis:
Głównym celem rozważań jest przedstawienie uczestnictwa rodzin z dziećmi z niepełnosprawnością w turystyce i rekreacji. W artykule wykorzystano zarówno literaturę przedmiotu, wyniki badań wtórnych, jak i pierwotnych. Badania empiryczne (jakościowe i ilościowe) zostały przeprowadzone w latach 2014 i 2015 na potrzeby projektu badawczego finansowanego ze środków NCN. Z badań wynika, że nie wszystkie dzieci z niepełnosprawnością, jak i rodziny z dzieckiem/dziećmi z niepełnosprawnością wyjechały w celach turystyczno-wypoczynkowych poza miejsce stałego zamieszkania. Brak aktywności turystyczno-wypoczynkowej miał przede wszystkim związek z sytuacją finansową rodziny i kosztami wyjazdów. Wyniki badań mają znaczenie praktyczne i społeczne. Mogą stanowić m.in. źródło refleksji nad podejmowaniem decyzji dotyczących wsparcia rodzin z dzieckiem/ dziećmi z niepełnosprawnością oraz działań o charakterze integracyjnym. Artykuł ma charakter badawczy.
The main aim of considerations is to present the participation of families with impaired children in tourism and recreation. In her article, the author used the subject literature, secondary and primary research findings. Empirical surveys (qualitative and quantitative) were carried out in 2014 and 2015 for the purpose of research project financed by means of the National Science Centre. The surveys show that not all impaired children as well as the families with impaired child/children went in the tourist and leave purposes beyond their permanent residence. Lack of tourist and recreation activity was primarily due to the family’s financial condition and trip expenses. The research findings have the practical and social importance. They may be, inter alia, a source of reflexion on making decisions on supporting families with handicapped child/children and measures of the integration nature. The article is of the research nature.
Основная цель рассуждений – представить участие семей с детьми-инвалидами в туризме и отдыхе. В статье использовали как литературу предмета, так и результаты вторичных и первичных исследований. Эмпирические исследования (качественные и количественные) провели в 2014 и 2015 гг. для нужд исследовательского проекта, финансированного за счет средств Национального центра науки. Из исследований вытекает, что не все дети-инвалиды и семьи с детьми-инвалидами выехали в туристско-рекреационных целях за пределы местожительства. Отсутствие туристско-рекреационной активности было прежде всего связано с финансовым положением семьи и расходами по поездке. Результаты изучения имеют практическое и социальное значение. Они могут быть, в частности, источником рефлексии над принятием решений о поддержке семей с ребенком-инвалидом или детьми-инвалидами, а также мероприятий интеграционного характера. Статья имеет исследовательский характер.

Górnicza eksploatacja surowców energetycznych w Lubelskim Zakładzie Węglowym wpływa na coraz bardziej widoczne deformacje terenu. Na skutek osiadania terenu tworzą się nowe zbiorniki wodne. Deformacje powierzchni mogą przekraczać głębokość 3 metrów, co będzie wpływać zarówno na warunki przyrodnicze, jak i gospodarcze. Dla ograniczenia narastającej deformacji powierzchni należy podjąć określone działania, które przyniosłyby wymierne korzyści. Najkorzystniejsze zagospodarowanie terenów zdegradowanych powinno uwzględnić rozwój turystyki i rekreacji całego obszaru lubelskiego.
Mining exploitation of energetic materials in Lublin Coal Plant make effect for more and more visible area deformations. There are formatted a new water reservoirs. Area deformation could exceed 3 meters depth, which will effect on environmental and economical conditions. To decrease the tendency of area deformation should be taken up the activities to make positive effects. The most positive use of degradation sites should be tourist and recreation development the all of Lublin outside area.

Celem rozważań jest ukazanie miejsca i roli ubezpieczeń turystycznych w systemie ubezpieczeń gospodarczych. Wprawdzie w nauce o ubezpieczeniach nie znajdujemy definicji ubezpieczeń turystycznych, jednak najogólniej można stwierdzić, iż są to ubezpieczenia służące zaspokojeniu potrzeb finansowych (gospodarstw domowych i przedsiębiorstw), które powstają w związku z realizacją ryzyka specyficznego dla podmiotu podejmującego aktywność w zakresie szeroko pojętej turystyki i rekreacji. W artykule podjęto próbę uporządkowania i scharakteryzowania tych ubezpieczeń na tle podstawowych pojęć i kategorii oraz w świetle klasycznego ujęcia systematyki ubezpieczeń, prezentowanego w literaturze ubezpieczeniowej, z wykorzystaniem kilku najważniejszych kryteriów klasyfikacyjnych, tj. kryterium: - podmiotowego, - przedmiotowego, - związanego z konstrukcją programu ubezpieczenia, - związanego z przestrzennym charakterem ryzyka, - związanego z przymusem ubezpieczeniowym lub swobodą zawierania umowy, - regulacji prawnej, - branży. Wyjaśnienie istoty ubezpieczeń turystycznych i ich funkcji w kontekście specyfiki ryzyka służy celom praktycznym – porządkując rynek ubezpieczeniowy oraz wspierając proces zarządzania ryzykiem i w jego ramach projektowanie programów ochrony ubezpieczeniowej dla zainteresowanych podmiotów. Wśród społecznych implikacji opracowania można wymienić wpływ objaśniających, porządkujących i systematyzujących ujęć na wzrost świadomości ryzyka i świadomości ubezpieczeniowej zwykle skutkujący większą przezornością ubezpieczeniową. An aim of the author’s deliberations is to present the place and role of tourist insurance in the system of business insurance. To be sure, in the science of insurance, we do not find a definition of tourist insurance, though most generally we can state that it is insurance serving meeting financial needs (by households and enterprises) which occur with regard to managing the risk specific to the entity undertaking its activity in the area of tourist and recreation in a broad sense. In her article, the author undertook an attempt to arrange and describe that insurance against the background of basic notions and categories as well as in the light of the classical approach to the insurance systematics presented in the insurance literature, with the use of several basic classification criteria as follows: - subjective, - objective, - connected with construction of the insurance programme, - connected with the spatial nature of risk, - connected with the insurance coercion or the freedom to conclude a contract, - legal regulation, - branch. Explanation of the essence of tourist insurance and its functions in the context of risk specificity services practical objectives, arranging the insurance market and supporting the process of risk management, and, within its framework, designing programmes of insurance protection for the oncerned entities. Among the social implications of the study, there can be mentioned impact of the explaining, arranging, and systematising approaches on growth of awareness of the risk and insurance awareness, usually resulting in a greater insurance prudence. The aim of the article is to assess the role of degraded landscapes in tourism. The authors try to answer questions about the contexts in which such landscapes may be found in relation to those complex phenomena concerning the human need for travel, leisure, cognition and experience. They also pose questions about the physical and symbolic limits to tourism and recreation in degraded landscapes. The work is based on a literature review and observations on chosen degraded landscapes (mostly industrial and post-industrial) located at the Czech foreground of the Ore Mountains (Czech Krušné Hory, German Erzgebirge).

The aim of this article is to present biographical narratives about tourist destinations retained in memories of seniors from the period of their youth, i.e. the 60s, 70s and 80s of the last century. The author’s intention was to retrieve those distant memories during narrative interviews with respondents and use them to reconstruct information about tourist destinations. The respondents were not asked any specific questions about their holiday memories and were allowed to choose what they wanted to recall. The preferences revealed during the interviews resemble contemporary trends. It can therefore be concluded that despite the passage of time and all kinds of changes that have taken place over several decades, tourists are invariably attracted to the same destinations.

The purpose of this article is to show the need for recreation in the context of foreign leisure trips of administrative staff of selected universities in zachodniopomorskie (West Pomeranian) voivodship. It is an essential element of health behavior of each individual. This work shows the awareness of people in relation to the organization of the rest – taking into account both the destination, means of transport, as well as hotel animations. With regard to the aspect of health, attention should be paid to proper preparation for the trip.

Opracowanie jest poświęcone koncepcji projektu badawczo-wdrożeniowego pod nazwą Europejskie Centrum Zielonej Terapii i Rekreacji, zlokalizowanego na pograniczu polsko-litewsko-białoruskim. W artykule „zieloną terapię” i rekreację odniesiono do zmęczenia psychicznego i regeneracji kreatywnych sił człowieka. Adresatem tych przedsięwzięć w głównej mierze jest klasa kreatywna Richarda Floridy. W artykule omówiono trzy problemy. Pierwszy z nich to teoretyczne podstawy psychoterapeutycznego oddziaływania natury z odniesieniem do teorii biofilii E.O. Wilsona i teorii regeneracji uwagi R. Kaplan i S. Kaplan. Powołano się na wyniki badań A. Krzymowskiej-Kostrowickiej, R.S. Ulricha, P.A. Bella, S. Lyubomirsky i innych. Wskazano też wybrane metody badania przydatności ekosystemów do celów terapeutycznych i rekreacyjnych: metodę "transect walk" oraz „Indeks reakcji emocjonalnej na środowisko” J.A. Russela i U.F. Laniusa. Drugie zagadnienie to prezentacja wielkich obszarów przyrodniczych na pograniczu polsko-litewsko-białoruskim i możliwości ich wykorzystania do „zielonej terapii” i rekreacji. Uzupełnieniem różnorodności biologicznej i krajobrazowej tych terenów jest unikatowe zróżnicowanie kulturowe regionu. Trzecie zagadnienie to specyfikacja problemów do rozwiązania w projekcie badawczo-rozwojowy.
The elaboration is dedicated to the presentation of the concept of research and implementation project known as the European Centre of Green Therapy and Recreation, which is located at the Polish-Lithuanian-Belarussian border. In this paper, green therapy and recreation were related to physical tiredness and regeneration of man’s creative power. These undertakings are addressed mainly to the Creative Class theory by Richard Florida. The article presents three problems. The first problem regards the theoretical bases of psychotherapeutic influence of nature, with reference to the Biophilia theory by E. O. Wilson and the Attention Restoration theory by R. Kaplan and S. Kaplan. Reference was also made to results of the research conducted by A. Krzymowska-Kostrowicka, R. S. Ulrich, P. A. Bell, S. Lyubomirsky and other scientists. There were also demonstrated the selected methods of analysing the usefulness of ecosystems for therapy and recreation needs: the ‘transect walk’ method and index of emotional reaction to the environment by J. A. Russel and U. F. Lanius. The second issue is the presentation of large natural areas at the Polish-Lithuanian-Belarussian border and the possibilities of using them for green therapy and recreation. Supplementation of the biological and landscape diversity of these areas is the unique cultural diversification of this region. Third issue presented in this paper regards specification of problems that need to be solved in the research and development project.
