Opis:
The gas turbine is considered to be a very complex piece of machinery because of both its static structure and the dynamic behavior that results from the occurrence of vibration phenomena. It is required to adopt monitoring and diagnostic procedures for the identification and localization of vibration flaws in order to ensure the appropriate operation of large rotating equipment such as gas turbines. This is necessary in order to avoid catastrophic failures and deterioration and to ensure that proper operation occurs. Utilizing an approach that is based on spectrum analysis, the purpose of this study is to provide a model for the monitoring and diagnosis of vibrations in a GE MS3002 gas turbine and its driven centrifugal compressor. This will be done by utilizing the technique. Following that, the collection of vibration measurements for a model of the centrifugal compressor served as a suggestion for an additional method. This method is based on the neuro-fuzzy approach type ANFIS, and it aims to create an equivalent system that is able to make decisions without consulting a human being for the purpose of detecting vibratory defects. In spite of the fact that the compressor that was investigated has flaws, this procedure produced satisfactory results.

The paper presents the practical using of model for underkeel clearance evaluation. Real data from Maritime Office concerning ships which enter ports was used to analysis of results first probabilistic model of underkeel clearance and next integrated system. During analysis mean probability that underkeel clearance will be less than zero was determined for ports in Świnoujście, Szczecin and Police. Results of this analysis can be used for further research connected with integrated system for underkeel clearance calculation.

The paper is concerned with the analysis of under-keel clearance of ships based on real data from Szczecin Maritime Office. Using probabilistic method for UKC assessment give it possibility to create the distribution of under-keel clearance in several ship’s passages and in further step to determine the probability of ship’s grounding accident during the port approach. The results of using this type of model could be used in risk assessment of ships entering to the ports, therefore it is possible to used probabilistic model in Maritime Office employees’ everyday decision making practice. Research results present verification of probabilistic model, based on data from Vessel Traffic Service database and probability of touching the bottom during ships’ passages on Swinoujscie - Szczecin waterway. Moreover there are presented examples of these situations when entering to the port for analysed ships is not allowed according to the model.

The main problem addressed in the paper is an idea of modification and generalization of Root-MUSIC method. The algorithm is commonly used for uniform linear arrays. A concept how to generalize this method for non-uniform arrays is presented. An additional parametric test is also proposed for the selection of signal roots. Selected results of shallow water acoustic targets location (in bearing), with passive, linear array of hydrophones is also presented. The data used were acquired with an array situated in littoral waters, made and tested at Marine Technology Centre. A short background of array processing methods, especially subspace-based algorithms is included as well. Some important practical problems are also shortly discussed.

The paper presents results of ship's safe trajectory planning algorithms verification. Real navigational data registered from a radar with an Automatic Radar Plotting Aid on board the research and training ship Horyzont II were used as input data to the algorithms. The algorithms verified in the presented research include the Ant Colony Optimization algorithm (ACO), the Trajectory Base Algorithm (TBA), the Visibility Graph-search Algorithm (VGA) ant the Discrete Artificial Potential Field algorithm (DAPF). Details concerning data registration and exemplary results obtained with the use or real navigational data are introduced and summarized in the paper. Presented results prove the applicability of proposed algorithms for solving the ship's safe trajectory planning problem.

In recent years, with the increasing popularity of IoT, the rapid growth of smartphone usage enabled by the increase adoption of Internet services and the continuously decreasing costs of these devices and services has led to a huge increase in the volume of data that governments can use in the context of smart city initiatives. The need for analytics is becoming a requirement for smart city projects such as city dashboards to provide citizens with an easy to understand overview of the city. As such, data should be analyzed, reduced and presented in such a way that citizens can easily understand various aspects of the city and use this information to increase quality of life. In this paper, we firstly present the context and the start of the design and implementation of proposed solution for real-time data processing in smart cities, mainly an analytics processing pipeline and a dashboard prototype for this solution, named My City Dashboard. We focus on high scalability and modularity of this platform.

The article presents a training and diagnostic workstation designed for Polish Navy ASW helicopter navigators. Installed at the helicopter base, the workstation is used for training and instruction in operating the device and analysing information gathered by navigators during the flight using the ASW onboard sonar, sonobuoy receiver and magnetometer. The workstation allows instructors to task two operators and monitor their performance under conditions resembling those onboard a plane. The tasks involve the operation of the consoles and collecting information during tactical situations, diagnosing damage and analysing flight data in office environment. The objective is to ensure proper helicopter navigator training and experience given the limited possibility of training flights.

Data revision is usually defined as an adjustment published after initial value had been announced; it may reflect rectification of errors, availability of new information, introduction of new measurement or aggregation techniques etc. This paper addresses the impact of data revisions on measures of expectations and offers an introduction to empirical analysis of data vintage in testing properties of expectations. It also defines and classifies data revisions and presents a review of literature and databases available for the purposes of real time analysis.

This paper presents a method of classification of time series of traffic flow, on the section of the main road leading into the city of Gliwice. Video detectors recorded traffic volume data was used, covering the period of one year in 5-minute intervals - from June 2011 to May 2012. In order to classify the data a statistical analysis was performed, which resulted in the proposition of splitting the daily time series into four classes. The series were smoothed to obtain hourly flow rates. The classification was performed using neural networks with different structures and using a variable number of input data. The purpose of classification is the prediction of traffic flow rates in the afternoon basing on the morning traffic and the assessment of daily traffic volumes for a particular day of the week. The results can be utilized by intelligent urban traffic management systems.
W artykule przedstawiono metodę klasyfikacji szeregów czasowych natężenia przepływ u ruchu na odcinku głównej drogi dojazdowej w kierunku miasta Gliwice. Dane o natężeniu ruchu obejmujące okres jednego roku w interwałach godzinnych - od czerwca 2011 do maja 2012 zostały zarejestrowane przez wideodetektory. W celu klasyfikacji przeprowadzono analizę statystyczną danych i zaproponowano podział dobowych szeregów czasowych na cztery klasy. Szeregi zostały wygładzone do natężeń godzinnych. Klasyfikację wykonano z wykorzystaniem sieci neuronowych o różnych strukturach i na podstawie z mieniającej się liczby danych wejściowych. Celem klasyfikacji jest predykcja natężenia ruchu w godzinach popołudniowych na podstawie danych o natężeniu w godzinach porannych a także możliwość oceny dobowego natężenia ruchu w poszczególnych dniach tygodnia. Informacje takie są przydatne do podejmowania decyzji w Inteligentnych Systemach Transportowych (ITS) i zarządzaniu ruchem.
