Kształtowanie warstwy wierzchniej przedmiotu obrabianego podczas procesu szlifowania powierzchni płaskich, zależy od wzajemnych relacji pomiędzy parametrami obciągania oraz szlifowania. W opracowaniu przedstawiono wpływ oddziaływania czynnej powierzchni ściernicy (CPS) na szlifowaną warstwę wierzchnią materiału obrabianego z udziałem cieczy obróbkowej podawanej w postaci mgły olejowej (MQL) oraz optymalne warunki smarowania próbki, tak aby wykluczyć przypalenia, pęknięcia oraz związane z nimi odkształcenia. Do rozwaSań przyjęto parametry chropowatości Ra, Rz i falistość obrabianego materiału oraz wartości stycznych i normalnych sił skrawania.
Creating the surface layer during the grinding process depends on the flat surface of the relationship between dressing speed and grinding parameters. The paper presents the effect of the impact of the active surface of grinding wheel profile (CPS) at a surface layer with the lubricant given in the form of oil mist on the active surface of the grinding wheel. Taken into consideration the parameters Ra, Rz and the wave of the workpiece and the values of tangential and normal forces.

The aim of the experiment was to determine the changes in the contents of bioactive compounds and antioxidant/antiradical activity in fresh-cut fruits of sweet pepper cv. ‘Blondy F1’ and ‘Yecla F1’, depending on the postharvest treatment. Treatment with hot water and short-term storage decreased the content of bioactive compounds and antioxidant/antiradical activity of fruit peppers. The treatment with water at 55 °C for 12 sec. of fresh-cut fruits caused lower losses in content of bioactive compounds and antioxidant/antiradical activities than the treatment with water at 45 °C for 10 min. There was a significant correlation between the content of total polyphenols and antioxidant and antiradical activity of pepper fruits depending on the cultivar and the experimental season.

The article presents the analysis of circumstances and causes of serious accidents at work resulting from lack of effective protection against access to hazardous areas. The article indicates technical reasons of accidents in terms of violations of laws and standards that suggest appropriate methods of protecting hazardous areas. Presented paper, above all, completes two other papers, made previously by the authors and cited in References, concerning the orbits of the Kaprekar’s transformations. In the current paper many detailed facts for five initial Kaprekar’s transformations (from T2 to T6) are described. There are introduced some new concepts and there is shown how important is the observation of numerical results giving the motivation for theoretical discussion on the Kaprekar’s transformations. Moreover, the paper includes the interesting and original results concerning the fixed points and the 2-element orbits of the Kaprekar’s transformations. All these results encourage to continue the discussion. The paper contains also quite large survey section devoted to the generalizations and modifications of the Kaprekar’s transformations. Furthermore, some pieces of information from OEIS by N.J.A. Sloane connected with the orbits of the Kaprekar’s transformations are presented here.
Prezentowany artykuł uzupełnia dwie inne prace autorów, cytowane w dołączonej tu literaturze, dotyczące orbit transformacji Kaprekara. W pracy przedstawiono wiele szczegółowych faktów dla pierwszych pięciu transformacji Kaprekara (od T2 do T6). Wprowadzono nowe pojęcia i pokazano, jak istotna jest analiza wyników numerycznych jako motywacja do dyskusji teoretycznej transformacji Kaprekara. Ponadto w artykule zamieszczono interesujące i oryginalne wyniki dotyczące punktów stałych i 2-elementowych orbit transformacji Kaprekara. Wszystkie te wyniki wręcz zachęcają do dalszej dyskusji. Artykuł zawiera również obszerny rozdział dotyczący uogólnień i modyfikacji transformacji Kaprekara. Wreszcie mamy tu zamieszczoną garść informacji z OEIS, ufundowanej przez N.J.A. Sloane’a, związanych z orbitami transformacji Kaprekara.

In decade eighty, Bang-Yen Chen introduced the concept of biharmonic hypersurface in the Euclidean space. An isometrically immersed hypersurface $x : M^{n} \rightarrow \mathbb{E}^{n+1}$ is said to be biharmonic if $\Delta^{2}x = 0$, where $\Delta$ is the Laplace operator. We study the $L_{r}$-biharmonic hypersurfaces as a generalization of biharmonic ones, where Lr is the linearized operator of the $(r + 1)$th mean curvature of the hypersurface and in special case we have $L_{0} = \Delta$. We prove that $L_{r}$-biharmonic hypersurface of $L_{r}$-finite type and also $L_{r}$-biharmonic hypersurface with at most two distinct principal curvatures in Euclidean spaces are r-minimal.

Examples exist of smooth maps on the boundary of a smooth manifold M which allow continuous extensions over M without fixed points but no such smooth extensions. Such maps are studied here in more detail. They have a minimal fixed point set when all transversally fixed maps in their homotopy class are considered. Therefore we introduce a Nielsen fixed point theory for transversally fixed maps on smooth manifolds without or with boundary, and use it to calculate the minimum number of fixed points in cases where continuous map extensions behave differently from smooth ones. In the appendix it is shown that a subset of a smooth manifold can be realized as the fixed point set of a smooth map in a given homotopy class if and only if it can be realized as the fixed point set of a continuous one. A special case of this result is used in a proof of the paper.

The article presents a new algorithm that enables the allocation of the optimal scheduling of the production orders in the two-machine system based on the minimum cost of order delays. The formulated algorithm uses the method of branch and bounds and it is a particular generalisation of the algorithm enabling for the determination of the sequence of the production orders with the minimal sum of the delays. In order to illustrate the proposed algorithm in the best way, the article contains examples accompanied by the graphical trees of solutions. The research analysing the utility of the said algorithm was conducted. The achieved results proved the usefulness of the proposed algorithm when applied to scheduling of orders. The formulated algorithm was implemented in the Matlab programme. In addition, the studies for different sets of production orders were conducted.

In geodetic measurements of deformations in shell cooling towers, an important factor is to optimize the number of points representing the exterior surface of the shell. The conducted analyses of damage to such structures proved that cooling towers exhibited shell deformation consisting of irregular vertical waves (three concavities and two convexities), as well as seven horizontal waves. On this basis, it is claimed that, in accordance with the Shannon theorem, the correct representation of the generated waves requires the measurement of the cooling tower shell in a minimum of 12 vertical and 14 horizontal sections. Such density of the points may not be sufficient to represent local imperfections of the shell. The article presents the results of test measurements and their analysis, which were conducted to verify the assumptions as to the optimal number of measurement points for the shell of a cooling tower. The evaluation was based on a comparative analysis of the data obtained by the Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) method, creating a very detailed model of geometric imperfections in an actual cooling tower with a height of 100 m. Based on the data obtained by the TLS method, point grids of various density were generated. An additional measurement of the cooling tower shell deformation was performed using a precise electronic total station with reflectorless measurement option. Therefore, it was possible to assess the accuracy of measurements by laser scanning in relation to measurements obtained by reflectorless total stations.
