W artykule omówione zostały podstawy prawne funkcjonowania doradztwa zawodowego w polskich placówkach oświatowych. Ponadto przedstawione zostały wymagania formalne, zakres obowiązków i cechy charakteru, jakimi musi legitymować się szkolny doradca zawodowy.
    The choice of profession is a crucial decision which every young person has to make. It has a significant impact on life (professional and to a certain extent personal) of each person. Therefore, in the course of education the student can benefit from the help of specialists in the field of guidance and employment counselling. The article discusses the legal basis of employment counselling in Polish educational institutions. Moreover, it presents the formal requirements, responsibilities and traits of character which the school employment counsellor should have.

    This article discusses the role of the family in the process of assistance related to the direction of education and the profession young people with physical disabilities choice. For this group, as future employees – well‑educated young people with disabilities – entering into the labor market sometimes is long and often fails. There is the significant role of the family as a supportive environment. The particular attention was paid to the discussion of the factors affecting the educational and professional choices, among others: parents’ educational level, the choice of field of study and occupations of family members, the situation of social‑household family, parents satisfaction with career choices investigated, and others. In addition, the review of the possibilities for career development of people with disabilities on the basis of system support has been made during those considerations.

    Celem opracowania jest ukazanie standardu pełnienia roli nauczyciela i motywów wyboru zawodu wśród nauczycieli oraz przedstawienie ewentualnych zależności między tymi zmiennymi. Przystępując do badań, założono, że pozytywne motywy wyboru zawodu będą sprzyjać heurystycznemu standardowi pełnienia roli nauczyciela. Nauczyciele świadomi swoich zawodowych wyborów (wybory pozytywne) będą przejawiać wyższy standard pełnienia roli nauczyciela (nastawienie na emancypację, umiejętności radzenia sobie w sytuacjach sprzeczności, ambiwalencji) w porównaniu z nauczycielami, którzy swój zawód wybrali z przyczyn negatywnych, neutralnych czy ambiwalentnych. Badania, z wykorzystaniem sondażu diagnostycznego, objęły 225 losowo dobranych nauczycieli pracujących w szkołach różnych typów, na wsi i w różnej wielkości miastach na terenie Małopolski. Na podstawie wyników badań można stwierdzić, że nauczyciele generalnie prezentują adaptacyjny (przedmiotowy) standard funkcjonowania w zawodzie (pełnienia roli nauczyciela) i większość z nich dokonała wyboru studiów pedagogicznych z przyczyn, które w aspekcie motywacji do przyszłej pracy można uznać za pozytywne. Wyniki prezentowanych badań pokazują też, że standard pełnienia roli nauczyciela nie jest powiązany z motywami wyboru zawodu. Prawdopodobnie określone (pozytywne, negatywne, neutralne czy ambiwalentne) motywy i wyobrażenia o przyszłym zawodzie, które towarzyszą kandydatom na nauczycieli w decyzjach dotyczących wyboru zawodu, nie przesądzają o jakości pełnienia roli zawodowej: dominacji w niej heurystycznych czy też adaptacyjnych zachowań i działań.
    The aim of the paper is to present the standard of performing teacher’s role and the reasons why teachers choose their profession as well as to show the potential relations between the said variables. The initial assumption was that positive motivation behind the choice of teacher’s profession will foster the heuristic standard of performing teacher’s role. The teachers who are aware of their professional choices (positive choices) will reveal a higher standard of performing teacher’s role (turn to emancipation, ability to cope with contradictory and ambivalent situations) in comparison to the teachers who have chosen their profession for negative, neutral or ambivalent reasons. The research, with the use of diagnostic survey, covered 225 randomly selected teachers employed in all kinds of schools, in villages and towns of different size, in the region of Małopolska. The research results show that the majority of teachers reveal adaptive (instrumental) standard of functioning in the profession (performing teacher’s role), what is more, most of the said teachers have chosen pedagogical studies for the reasons that in view of motivation for future work can be regarded as positive. The research results also show that the standard of performing teacher’s role is not related to the motivation behind the choice of teacher’s profession. Specific (positive, negative, neutral or ambivalent) reasons and notions referring to the future profession that influence the decisions on the choice of profession taken by candidates for teachers probably do not determine the quality of performing the professional role, i.e. the domination of heuristic or adaptive behaviours and activities.

    The aim of this paper is an attempt of unravelling of the career pathways of a group of a secondary vocational school's graduates in context of their career choice, as well as the preparation for the choice of career or higher education they have received at school. The graduates have been subject to panel surveys during their consecutive stages of professional development, i.e. during their school education as well as after the graduation. Their situation, behaviour and choices are put in the context of the phenomenon known as the postmodernity. The paper is composed of two parts. The first one comprises analysis of the factors determining the career choice as well as the graduates' own insights upon their choices made during the last year of schooling. The second part is dedicated to the analysis of the graduates' opinions upon the preparation for the future employment or higher education, which they have undergone at school. The accuracy of the graduates' choices as well as very process of entering the labour market is subject to a thorough analysis. The examination of the graduates' careers yields valuable information on the educational performance of the school itself, as well as the relevance of the curriculum to the labour market expectations. The subject of the paper fits in to the issue of integration of the vocational education into the labour market demands.

    The paper presents results of quality research aimed to study autobiographical experience of future teachers of pre-school and early school education concerned with their choice of profession. The research was conducted in 2019/2020 among 164 female students of the second year of pre-school and early school pedagogy at Faculty of Education of University of Białystok. In the first part of article various elements of the research are presented including the object of analysis, characterisation of the environment of investigations and an investigative test. A large part of the article is devoted to the presentation of the research results relating to the motives for choosing the occupation of teacher. Based on casual autobiographical statements of the students the circumstances, events and life experiences were presented that played crucial factors in the process of their job choice. Analysing their narrative prominent figures were identified that played an important part in decision making involved in selecting job of pre-school and early school teacher. The last part of the article includes the research conclusions. Furthermore, implications for theory, practice and research on professional development of teachers are also discussed.
    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań jakościowych, których celem było poznanie doświadczeń autobiograficznych przyszłych nauczycieli edukacji przedszkolnej i wczesnoszkolnej dotyczących ich procesu wyboru zawodu. Badania zostały przeprowadzone na przełomie roku 2019/2020 w grupie 164 studentek II roku pedagogiki przedszkolnej i wczesnoszkolnej Wydziału Nauk o Edukacji Uniwersytetu w Białymstoku. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono elementy koncepcji badań zawierającej przedmiot badań, charakterystykę terenu badań oraz metodę badań. Znaczną część artykułu poświęcono prezentacji wyników badań dotyczących etapu wyboru zawodu nauczyciela. Na podstawie analizy swobodnych wypowiedzi autobiograficznych studentek ukazano okoliczności, zdarzenia, sytuacje i doświadczenia życiowe, które były znaczące w procesie wyboru ich zawodu. Ponadto zidentyfikowano motywy, którymi kierowały się przyszłe nauczycielki przy wyborze zawodu. W wyniku analizy narracji badanych wyłoniono osoby znaczące, które odegrały istotną rolę przy podjęciu decyzji związanej z wyborem zawodu nauczyciela edukacji przedszkolnej i wczesnoszkolnej. W ostatniej części tekstu zaprezentowano konkluzje z badań. Ponadto omówiono implikacje dla teorii, praktyki i badań nad rozwojem zawodowym nauczycieli.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań jakościowych nad drogą do zawodu nauczyciela i towarzyszącymi jej motywami. W badaniach wzięto pod uwagę uwarunkowania biograficzne oraz społeczno-kulturowe i ekonomiczne. Badania zostały przeprowadzone na przełomie 2013/14 roku na Uniwersytecie Jana Kochanowskiego w Kielcach, na Wydziale Pedagogicznym i Artystycznym. Objęto nimi 65 kandydatów na nauczycieli – studentów magisterskich studiów pedagogicznych na specjalności edukacja wczesnoszkolna i przedszkolna z nauczaniem języka angielskiego. W badaniach zastosowano metodę swobodnej wypowiedzi autobiograficznej na temat. „Moja droga do zawodu nauczycielskiego. Kontekst autobiograficzny i społeczno-kulturowy”. Badania pozwoliły na zdobycie wiedzy na temat kształtowania się dróg wejścia do zawodu nauczyciela i motywacji wyboru zawodu u kandydatów na nauczycieli oraz ukazanie szerszego kontekstu jej kształtowania się i rozwoju. Wyniki badań wzbogacają wiedzę o zawodzie nauczyciela oraz o rozwoju zawodowymnauczycieli we współczesnych uwarunkowaniach.
    This paper presents the results of qualitative research on the path to teaching as a career and the accompanying motivation. In the research, biographical, socio-cultural and economic conditions are critically considered. The study was conducted during the 2013-14 academic year in the University of Jan Kochanowski’s the Department of Education and the Arts. It involved 65 prospective teachers—postgraduate students in teacher education, with a specialization in preschool and early education with English language teaching. The research used the authobiographical method on the theme “My Way to the Teaching Profession: Autobiographical and Socio-cultural Context.” The study allowed the researchers to gain knowledge about the formation of the path to the teaching as a career and the prospective teachers’ motivations. The paper presents the broader context of prospective teachers’ formation and development. The results of the research enrich knowledge of teaching as a career and the professional development of teachers under modern conditions.

    W artykule poruszono niezwykle ważną i aktualną problematykę dotyczącą wyboru kierunku studiów po ukończeniu szkoły średniej. Wybór ten stanowi bardzo ważną decyzję życiową, która może decydować o przyszłości zawodowej i społecznej młodego człowieka. Jest on tym trudniejszy, że obecnie szybkie tempo rozwoju technologicznego generuje bardzo szybkie zmiany na rynku pracy. Dziś cenione zawody za kilka lat mogą stracić na znaczeniu, a dzisiaj niszowe – stać się bardzo atrakcyjne i prestiżowe za kilka lat. Pewne zawody występujące obecnie na rynku pracy za 10 lat mogą już nie istnieć i zostaną zastąpione innymi, jeszcze niewystępującymi obecni. W niniejszym opracowaniu przedstawiono wyniki badań pilotażowych przeprowadzonych na studentach wydziału Pedagogicznego Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego, dotyczących czynników wpływających na ich wybór kierunku studiów. Badania przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem ankiety elektronicznej dostępnej przez internet.
    This article deals with an extremely important and current issue concerning the choice ofa field of study after high school graduation. This choice is a very important life decision, whichmay determine the professional and social future of a young person. This is all the more difficultbecause the current rapid pace of technological development generates very rapid changes on thelabour market. Today, the valued profession may lose its importance in a few years' time, andtoday’s niche profession may become very attractive and prestigious in a few years’ time. Someoccupations currently on the labour market may no longer exist in 10 years’ time and will be replaced by different ones not yet present. This research paper presents the results of pilot studiescarried out on students of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the University of Rzeszów concerning factors influencing their choice of a particular field of study. The research was conducted using anelectronic survey available via the Internet.

    The article is an analysis of the impact of acts issued by the professional and business chambers (corporations) in Poland on two constitutional freedoms: freedom of establishment, and freedom of choice and execution of profession. The considerations are carried out in the context of the legal position of the two self-governed kinds of chambers’, in particular within their constitutional provisions. The author concludes that the constitutional law in Poland does not prevent the effective degree of excessive interference in both freedoms, following the issue of a very different form of legal acts resolved by the chambers (corporations) under public law. Consequently, this paper formulates demands referred to the conditions to be met by internal acts of these chambers (corporations). It is also noted that a clear division of chambers (corporations) governed by public law on chambers of professionals’ and business, is not adequate to modern conditions.
