Realizacja przyjętego celu i tematu referatu obejmuje następujące etapy: klasyfikacja usług logistycznych, charakterystyka przedsiębiorstw logistycznych w ujęciu czynnościowym, opracowanie założeń i zasad klasyfikacji przedsiębiorstw logistycznych w ujęciu systemowym.
The aim of the paper is to identify, design and develop of the classification national logistics enterprises, which takes into account both their technical and organizational structure as well as the conditions of the industry. The research method used is a review of the national literature and direct observation. The realization of the aim and theme of the paper includes the following steps: classification of logistics services; characteristics of the logistics enterprises in terms of functional; development objectives and principles of the classification of the logistics enterprises in terms of system.

Recent developments and events – e.g. trend to globalization, outsourcing activities, shorter life time cycles, but also natural disasters and others – have led to the increase of risks in business. Furthermore, regional and global financial and economic crises have brought additional and often unexpected risks into business. Therefore, risk management has been identified as one of the important management tasks supporting a company in reaching its objectives. In many countries, implementation and use of risk management is required by law. In Germany, the so-called KonTraG (Corporate Sector Supervision and Transparency Act) prescribes risk management for all incorporated companies. Although there is no mandated risk management for other legal forms of organizations, the KonTraG has also impact on those forms of organizations, especially on attestation by external auditors. This paper focuses on the industrial sector of logistics service providers (LSPs). The logistics service industry in Germany is a fragmented market. Although there are some ‘big players’, i.e. large LSPs, that are involved in national and international logistics activities, there also exists a large number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). For those small and medium-sized LSPs, risk management is not compulsory. Nevertheless, they face at least the same risks as the big players – if not even more (e.g. due to smaller market shares and lower market power). There is a number of questions involved with risk management in logistics enterprises: Is risk management an approach used by LSPs – and to what extend? Who initiates risk management in logistics enterprises? What is the degree of maturity of risk management in the logistics industry? What tools and methods are used by LSPs? Are companies evaluating risk management as beneficial? Not much research has been conducted in the logistics service industry so far. Thus, to answer those questions, the authors started to conduct a first empirical study in 2008. This study was followed by a second field study in 2011, i.e. directly after the first global financial and economic crisis. In 2013, the authors carried out the third empirical study on the status of risk management in logistics enterprises in Germany. The study allows for both stating the current status of risk management and identifying developments and trends in the logistics industry related to risk management. This paper intends to highlight the most important findings from the 2013 field study and to evaluate the status quo of risk management in logistics enterprises. It also specifies room for improvement to reach a higher degree of professionalism in risk management in the logistics industry.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to present the extent to which indicators applied by logistics providers in Poland measure logistics-related processes and performance in the context of implementing the concept of management accounting in the enterprises that were researched. Methodology: The research methods used by the authors included a literature review of mainly German and Polish publications and survey research conducted in 2011–2013 among logistics enterprises in Poland. This study served as the basis for verifying four hypotheses and formulating conclusions. Findings: The main results of this study showed that management accounting systems are implemented in about half of then logistics providers in Poland covered by the survey. 75% of all enterprises conducted indicator analysis to evaluate logistics processes, costs and performance, and 90% of the indicators used by these enterprises were of a financial nature. Research limitations: The main limitation of the research was associated with conducting the survey. The low return rate of completed questionnaires did not allow for a detailed analysis of the undertaken subject to be conducted. Moreover, the research results cannot be generalized to all logistics companies in Poland. Originality: The study was the first review of the application of indicators in logistics companies in Poland in relation to the implementation of the management accounting concept. The study provides knowledge about how Polish logistics enterprises use indicators as an important management accounting instrument.

In the context of decreasing importance of the material resources provided by the company achieving competitive advantage it is to discover and use their distinctive competencies and creating valuable intangible assets. Intangible assets such as knowledge, experience or skills, enable the company to run effective instruments of competition, including by creating unique partnerships, which are the most important link in the competitive struggle. However, to be effective, these relations must be characterized by mutual trust. A key part of creating the credibility of the company in the market is implemented information security management system. These considerations were the basis to take issues related to the implementation of innovative solutions for the protection and security of information in the logistics companies operating in the region of Lodz. The reflections and conclusions of the research can help to identify key areas where companies using the tools of information security management can achieve measurable benefits and create a competitive advantage in relation to other entities.

In the paper, the consequences of the influence of globalisation on the market of air transport are assessed. It is shown that alliances and code-share agreements constitute fundamental elements of this process. Basic stimuli and their results were analysed and the outcome shows that the aim of global corporations is integrating companies, markets and economic systems into a homogeneous system encompassing the whole world. The aim of this paper is to present the significance of alliances and code-share agreements in the development of globalisation of air transport. Critical analysis of literature and deduction were used, which allowed to formulate appropriate conclusions and recommendations. Additionally, the method of assessment of complexity of relations between air transport and socio-economic phenomena was used. The identification of processes and sources of competitive stimuli along with barriers in functioning, and the development of both, the sector of air transport and the market as a whole were also taken into consideration. The analysis of activity of subjects forming the global market of air transport services under the conditions of growing competition was made.

The organizational and economic support for the interaction of stakeholders with Chinese logistics companies with the use of the Internet of Things has been improved. The introduction of the Internet of Things is necessary for the formation of progressive trajectories for the development of China's logistics companies.

The Japanese 5S method is the basis for optimizing processes in the enterprises. An example of the practices in the logistics enterprise is presented. These practices are an important prerequisite for successful work in the enterprise and have a positive impact on the implementation of the 5S system and other methods. 5S contributes to the development of the learning organization with employees. 5S practise is one of the techniques to improve quality and safety and health at the workplace. It was first popularized by Taiichi Ohno, who designed the Toyota Production System and Shigeo Shingo, who also put forward the concept of poka-yoke. The article presents Lean 5S methodology and selected results of research on performance and interference, before and after implementation of the 5S method in the logistic enterprise. The purpose of this paper is to implement the 5S and principles to assist manufacturing organisations to become more efficient and more productive. The case study presented in the paper will be useful to researchers, professionals and others concerned with this subject to understand the significance of 5S and Lean.

The main aim of the article is to emphasize the problem of selecting performance management (PM) indicators in logistics companies. Objective. The research aims to verify the profitability of the change consisting in the transition of a logistics company from the structures of hierarchical solutions requiring the expansion of its own transport order collection system, to structures using a digital logistics platform delivered by a specialized company based on a specific contract.Within the conducted research, the authors used a critical review of the literature on the subject, realized desk research and case study analyses.The obtained results confirm the advantage of moving from hierarchical structures that require expanding one's own transport order collection system, to structures using a digital logistics platform of a specialized company, based on a periodic contract with network distinguishing characteristics. The obtained results will be used as the basis for further research on the possibilities of analysing organizational management systems based on the contracting models of digital logistics platforms. The research results will broaden the knowledge on the interpretation of the advantages of digital logistics platforms from the perspective of the transaction costs theory.
Celem badań jest sprawdzenie korzystności zmiany polegającej na przejściu firmy logistycznej z rozwiązań hierarchicznych wymagających rozbudowy własnego systemu zbierania zleceń przewozowych do rozwiązań wykorzystujących na zasadzie kontraktu cyfrową platformę logistyczną specjalistycznej firmy. Autorzy dokonali krytycznego przeglądu literatury przedmiotu, przeprowadzili analizy desk research oraz analizę w postaci studium przypadku. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają korzystność przechodzenia z rozwiązań hierarchicznych wymagających rozbudowy własnego systemu zbierania zleceń przewozowych do rozwiązań wykorzystujących na zasadzie kontraktu okresowego o cechach sieci – cyfrową platformę logistyczną specjalistycznej firmy. Otrzymane rezultaty posłużą do dalszych badań możliwości analizy systemów zarządzania organizacjami z wykorzystaniem modeli kontraktowania cyfrowych platform logistycznych. Wyniki badań poszerzą wiedzę o interpretacji zalet cyfrowych platform logistycznych z perspektywy teorii kosztów transakcyjnych.

Artykuł przedstawia podstawowe dane charakteryzujące aktywa obrotowe przedsiębiorstw, ich wartość, strukturę i dynamikę zmian. Wskazano także na związek oraz wzajemne uwarunkowania aktywów obrotowych i funkcjonowanie procesów logistycznych. Aktywa obrotowe przedsiębiorstw średnich i dużych na koniec 2018 r. przekroczyły wartość 1 bln zł i stanowią 40% całości majątku przedsiębiorstw. W okresie ostatnich 3 lat wysokie tempo wzrostu tych aktywów spowodowało obniżenie ich produktywności, pogorszenie efektywności funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw. Przyrost zapasów angażował blisko 30% całego przyrostu PKB. W tekście wskazano na związek funkcjonowania procesów logistycznych z poziomem i strukturą aktywów, a także płynnością finansową, aczkolwiek pomiar ilościowy wpływu tych procesów jest bardzo trudny, może być zrealizowany w konkretnym przedsiębiorstwie.
The text presents basic data that characterises current assets of enterprises, their value, structure and change dynamics. Mutual links between current assets and Logistics processes were also pointed out. Current assets of medium and large enterprises exceeded 1 trillion PLN at the end of 2018 and amounted to 40% of companies' total assets. Over the last 3 years, high increase of those assets caused the deterioration of productivity and effectiveness of enterprises. Increase in the value of inventories generated almost 30% of the increase in the GDP. The relationship between the functioning of logistics processes and the level and structure of assets, as well as financial liquidity, was pointed out. However, quantitative measurement of the influence of those processes is very challenging and hence only possible in case of individual enterprises.

Nowadays innovations became the most important element of the country’s economic development, since they provide a qualitative increase in the efficiency of processes or end production demanded by the market. In this article, the innovation of processes, viz. the processes of logistic management of the production-economic organization is proposed. Innovations in logistics management, as a direction of logistics activity improvement provide the development of new tools (methods, criteria, indices) in methodological logistics’ groundwork, as well as improving the mechanism for the formation and functioning of micro- and macro-logistic systems. The aim of the research is to develop scientific and methodological recommendations for the application of logistics management innovations that involve designing the logistics system through the improvement of the enterprise’s organizational structure as an element of the economic macro environment. Logistic system designing approach is suggested, that anticipates an enterprise’s organizational structure formation under the process-matrix principle (unification of functional and process management approaches) and the establishment of the effective enterprise’s logistic service that plays the role of coordinator and integrator of its business-processes. Efficient organization structure formation, that provides logistics approach implementation in practical enterprises’ activity is grounded by authors. The result of the innovations in logistics management appliance is effective logistic system’s design, in which the coordinated material, informational and financial flows motion is carried out. In the result, it ensures efficient enterprise’s business-processes functioning and organic improvement of its organizational structure.

The concept of logistics management has been functioning in literature of the subject and economic practice for numerous years, and it has developed research methods related to other disciplines of knowledge. The realities of current global economy force the enterprises to consider the sustainable development concept as well. This concept, by assuming sustainability in implementation of economic, social and environmental objectives, exerts impact on the management strategy of contemporary enterprises. This also results from the advancing globalization and the increasing scale of production along with negative phenomena that emerge in the environment and economy, i.e. environmental degradation and depletion of resources. Hence, the sustainable development concept may be sought first of all in strategies adopted by manufacturing enterprises, the operations of which are based on technological processes, distribution and sales, as well as post-sale services and the possibility to manage the final products or reuse of the materials.

The first part of the article presents the theoretical aspects of corporate social responsibility of Transport, Freight and Logistics enterprises, the second describes author's own research methodology and analysis of the results concerning selected aspects of cooperation of the examined enterprises with Transport, Freight and Logistics enterprises.

The carried analysis out allowed to identify the logistics processes related to creation and maintenance of stockpile in the vast area agricultural enterprises. Besides, the level and structure of logistics costs generated in this sphere of activity of the enterprise were defined, too.
W pracy zidentyfikowano procesy logistyczne związane z tworzeniem i utrzymaniem zapasów w wielkoobszarowych przedsiębiorstwach rolniczych. Poza tym przeanalizowano wielkość i strukturę kosztów logistycznych w tego rodzaju przedsiębiorstwach. Zidentyfikowano trzy główne grupy kosztów logistycznych w sferze gospodarki zapasami. Dominującymi kosztami okazały się koszty magazynowania (60%), w następnej kolejności znalazły się koszty zaangażowanego kapitału (około 26%), a koszty ryzyka wyniosły 14% ogółu kosztów zapasów.

The author presented results of own research concerning selected aspects of cooperation of the surveyed enterprises with enterprises of the sector of logistics services and management of logistics processes in service enterprises. The process of creating a competitive advantage of contemporary enterprises of the logistics service sector has been described.

Opis:

The article presents selected research results regarding the conditions for controlling of logistics processes in manufacturing enterprises. The research goal was to determine the relationship between the occurrence of such controlling and the separation of logistics processes in enterprises. The research issues undertaken determined the choice of research methods, such as literature review and survey research. The implementation of logistics controlling is associated with the isolation of logistics processes, as evidenced by the result of the Chi2 independence test. This means that in process-oriented enterprises there is logistic process controlling. Logistics controlling is a broader concept, covering logistics in functional terms at every level of the institutional criterion, both micrological, metalogistic and macrological.
W artykule zaprezentowano wybrane wyniki badań dotyczące uwarunkowań funkcjonowania controllingu procesów logistycznych w przedsiębiorstwach produkcyjnych. Celem badawczym było ustalenie zależności między występowaniem controllingu logistyki a wyodrębnieniem procesów logistycznych w przedsiębiorstwach. Podjęta problematyka badawcza zdeterminowała wybór metod badawczych takich jak przegląd literatury oraz badania ankietowe. Wdrożenie controllingu logistyki jest powiązane z wyodrębnieniem procesów logistycznych, na co wskazuje wynik przeprowadzonego testu niezależności Chi2. Oznacza to, że w przedsiębiorstwach zorientowanych procesowo występuje controlling procesów logistycznych. Controlling logistyki jest pojęciem szerszym, obejmującym logistykę w ujęciu funkcjonalnym na każdym poziomie kryterium instytucjonalnego, zarówno mikrologistycznym, metalogistycznym i makrologistycznym.

Strategicznymi przewagami konkurencyjnymi przedsiębiorstw w warunkach zdrożenia zasobów energetycznych i intensyfikacji marketingu biznes-współdziałania jest opracowanie i wdrożenie logistycznych mechanizmów marketingowych rozpowszechnienia na rynkach współczesnych energo zaoszczędzających technologii. Warto więcej wysiłków skierować na marketingowe logistyczne wsparcie przygotowania do imprez sportowych i kulturowych, musi zaistnieć dobrze wykształtowany plan strategicznych marketingowych przedsięwzięć dla kreowania dobrej jakości imprez. Organizacja logistyki dystrybucji powinna współdziałać z procesami zarządzania marketingiem.

The study comprised research, development and computer programming works concerning the development of a concept for the IT tool to be used in the identifica-tion and analysis of logistics costs in agricultural enterprises in terms of the process-based approach. As a result of research and programming work an overall functional and IT concept of software was developed for the identification and analysis of logistics costs for agricultural enterprises.

Artykuł opracowany został w oparciu o wyniki badań własnych, przeprowadzonych na próbie 147 przedsiębiorstw zarobkowego transportu samochodowego ładunków na terenie województwa śląskiego. Wielowymiarowa sfera obsługi klienta w zarządzaniu logistyką ankietowanych podmiotów rozważana była w odniesieniu do postrzegania idei obsługi klienta przedsiębiorstw, przez ustalenie definicji pojęcia oraz realizowanych elementów fazy przedtransakcyjnej. Na bazie zgromadzonych danych pierwotnych podjęto także próbę zbadania zależności przywołanych obszarów logistycznej obsługi klienta od wielkości badanych podmiotów.
The article is based on the results of own research carried out on a sample of 147 enterprises of motor transport of goods in the Silesian Voivodeship. The multidimensional sphere of customer service in the logistics management of surveyed entities was considered in relation to the perception of enterprise customer service concepts, by establishing the definition of the concept and the elements of the pre-transaction phase. On the basis of collected primary data, an attempt was also made to investigate the dependence of the mentioned logistic customer service areas on the size of the examined entities.

Background: The aim of the article is to verify the logistics and marketing instruments used in transport enterprises in Lubuskie voivodeship. The article presents the results of surveys of transport companies. Based on these studies in transport enterprises in Lubuskie, the current level of the use of logistics and marketing instruments was determined. Logistics and marketing instruments were separated to study the needs of transport companies in Lubuskie voivodeship. The choice of these instruments gave rise to a study of the possibility of using them in the implementation of business operations. From the findings it can be inferred that they are useful for the voivodeship, and that such a system can be implemented in the whole country. Methods: The study was conducted in the second half of 2014 and 140 transport enterprises in Lubuskie. Based on the research results, classifications of instruments were developed using logistics and marketing division at their levels. Results: On the basis of these findings and observations, the authors have analysed the levels of identification instruments, logistics and marketing. On this basis, it was possible to identify the instruments used by logistics and marketing in these companies. Conclusions: Based on the study of transport companies in Lubuskie voivodeship, a selection of logistics and marketing instruments were identified, along with a classification of the logistics and marketing instruments used. With the implementation of the above steps to classify the usage level of logistics and marketing instruments, the ability to match these levels to data transport companies was established.
Wstęp: Celem artykułu była weryfikacja stosowanych instrumentów logistyczno-marketingowych w przedsiębiorstwach transportowych w województwie lubuskim. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań ankietowych przedsiębiorstw transportowych. Aktualnie na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań w przedsiębiorstwach transportowych w województwie lubuskim określono wykorzystywanie instrumentów logistyczno-marketingowych. Wyodrębnienie instrumentów logistyczno-marketingowych było stworzone na potrzeby przebadania przedsiębiorstw transportowych w województwie lubuskim. Taki dobór tych instrumentów dał podstawę do przestudiowania możliwości wykorzystywania ich przy realizacji działalności przedsiębiorstw. Z wyników badań można wywnioskować, iż są one przydatne dla województwa lubskiego, oraz że taki zestaw może być realizowany w skali całego kraju. Metody: Badania zostały przeprowadzone w drugiej połowie 2014 roku, w 140 przedsiębiorstwach transportowych w województwie lubuskim. Na podstawie wyników badań, opracowano klasyfikacje wykorzystywanych instrumentów logistyczno-marketingowych z podziałem na ich poziomy. Wyniki: Na podstawie wyników tych badań i obserwacji, autorzy opracowali analizę poziomów identyfikacji instrumentów logistyczno-marketingowych na przykładzie badanych przedsiębiorstw. Na tej podstawie możliwa była identyfikacja wykorzystywanych instrumentów logistyczno-marketingowych w tychże przedsiębiorstwach. Wnioski: Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań przedsiębiorstw transportowych województwa lubuskiego stworzono dobór instrumentów logistyczno-marketingowych, utworzono klasyfikację wykorzystywanych instrumentów logistyczno-marketingowych.

Celem artykułu jest określenie roli standardów zapewnienia jakości i narzędzi doskonalenia procesów w działaniach przedsiębiorstw sektora logistycznego. W opracowaniu starano się zwrócić szczególną uwagę na wymagania stawiane podmiotom gospodarczym działającym w tym sektorze przez klientów (producentów oraz sieci handlowe) w zakresie zapewnienia jakości oferowanych usług związanych z transportem i magazynowaniem powierzanych towarów. Wymagania klientów koncentrują się głównie na wdrożeniu systemowego zarządzania (opartego na wdrożeniu wymagań standardu ISO 9001) oraz na zapewnieniu bezpieczeństwa w odniesieniu do wyrobów, takich jak artykuły spożywcze, produkty elektroniczne czy chemiczne. Analizując działania przedsiębiorstw sektora logistycznego, można dostrzec także, iż chcąc zwiększać swoją przewagę konkurencyjną, wdrażają one także inne narzędzia systemowe związane z zarządzaniem środowiskowym, zarządzaniem bezpieczeństwem (pracy, informacji, łańcuchem dostaw), a także koncepcję zarządzania ciągłością działania.
The aim of this article is to define the role of quality assurance standards as well as tools for process improvement in the activities of companies in the logistics sector. The paper pays particular attention to the requirements of commercial enterprises (manufacturers and retailers) in ensuring the quality of logistic services related to the transport and storage of goods entrusted. Customer requirements are mainly focused on the implementation of the management system (based on the implementation of the ISO 9001 standard) and others safety standards ensure the safety for products such as food, electronic products and chemicals. Analyzing the activities of enterprises in the logistics sector can also be observed that wanting to increase their competitive advantage the logistic operators implement also other tools for process improvements related to environmental management, security management (work, information management, supply chain) as well as the concept of business continuity management.

The analysis of logistics costs in agricultural enterprises in process aspect was carried out in the paper. The aim of the research was to identify those process activities, in which the optimization of logistics costs can influence the realization of strategic aims of sustainable development. As a result of the research, some indexes of logistics costs for agricultural enterprises were estimated. Also, the differences among the costs, depending on the area shape and used technologies, were shown in the paper.
W pracy dokonano analizy kosztów logistyki w przedsiębiorstwach rolniczych w ujęciu procesualnym. Celem badań było zidentyfikowanie tych działań procesowych, w których optymalizowanie kosztów logistyki może wpłynąć na realizację strategicznych celów zrównoważonego rozwoju. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań ustalono wiele wskaźników kosztów logistyki dla przedsiębiorstw rolniczych, a także wykazano zróżnicowanie w tychże kosztach w zależności od rozłogu i stosowanych technologii.

W artykule opisano techniki audytu logistycznego w przedsiębiorstwie rolnym wyspecjalizowanym w produkcji bydła mlecznego. Na przykładzie tego podmiotu określono stan logistyki w kontekście weryfikacji funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa. Wskazano na czynniki słabo rozwiniętego systemu logistycznego, dokonano oceny, zasugerowano nowe rozwiązania i określono główne kierunki doskonalenia audytu systemu logistycznego.
The technique of the logistics audit in the agricultural enterprise on production of dairy cattle, which provides the definition of the state of logistics, by peer review. Also defined are not developed component logistics system and suggested a further approach its assessment and identified the main directions of its improvement.
Предложена методика проведения логистического аудита в сельскохозяйственном предприятии по производству продукции молочного скотоводства, которая предусматривает определение состояния логистики, за счет экспертной оценки. Также определено не эффективноразвивающиеся элементы логистической системы и предложено дальнейший подход ее оценки и выявлено основные направления ее улучшения.

The purpose of this article is to analyse logistics outsourcing and assess its influence on the results of contemporary companies on the basis of the selected Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises. Port as one of the key hubs of international logistics, which has become the main part and the base of global logistics management. Opis:

Purpose: The aim of the article is to analyse and evaluate the influence of logistics supply chain strategies on the results of enterprises implementing them and creating a supply chain on the example of selected Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises. It presents the theoretical aspects of logistics supply chain strategies in contemporary market conditions. A research methodology has been described and a brief description of the studied population has been made. The results of the research concerning logistics supply chain strategies used in practice by the surveyed enterprises has been presented and an attempt to assess the influence of logistics supply chain strategies on the results of enterprises implementing them and creating a supply chain has been made. Design/methodology/approach: The article is based on the study of literature and own empirical research. The results of author’s own empirical research presented in the article come from more extensive studies concerning the analysis of logistics systems and logistics process management of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises in the years 2014-2016 in the context of building the competitiveness of enterprises. The research was conducted in 2017 by face-to-face interviews with managers responsible for logistics in the surveyed companies using a questionnaire. 298 manufacturing and trading enterprises from north-eastern Poland were examined (55.4% from the Warmia-Masuria Province and 44.6% from the Podlasie Province), characterized by a diversified competitive position on the market. Findings: Contemporary manufacturing and trading enterprises can use logistics both as a main element to achieve the intended competitive position and as an element to strengthen the adopted by the company method to achieve the intended competitive position. The conducted studies confirmed that the implementation of the adequate to the conditions logistics supply chain strategy allows the enterprise to increase the adjustment of operations to requirements and expectations of customers, respond properly to market challenges, achieve the set goals, implement innovations, increase sales revenues with the same or better financial liquidity than competitors’, reduce costs and reduce capital involvement, and consequently, achieve the competitive advantage and intended competitive position of enterprises creating the supply chain. The most frequently implemented logistics strategy in the best enterprises was the supply chain management strategy. In the majority of the best enterprises, an emergent logistics strategy was implemented, which was in a constant stage of creation and development, and was characterized by a quick response to changing customer requirements, environmental conditions and competitors’ activities. Research limitations/implications: More and more logistics managers manage logistics processes on the scale of the enterprise and the entire supply chain. Creating and implementing a logistics strategy in the supply chain is a very complex process. The article presents only selected aspects of logistics supply chain strategies. The issue of logistics supply chain strategies requires further, in-depth research. Practical implications: The article proposes logistics managers of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises practical suggestions for using logistics supply chain strategies to achieve the intended competitive advantage. Originality/value: The article fills a cognitive gap regarding logistics supply chain strategies. An extensive review of the literature on logistics supply chain strategies in contemporary market conditions has been made. The article also fills an empirical gap. It presents the results of studies concerning selected aspects of logistics supply chain strategies used in practice by the surveyed manufacturing and trading enterprises. The research results presented in the article can be used by logistics managers of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises.

В статті проаналізовано особливос- ті формування системи збутової ло- гістики садівничих підприємств із залученням посередників в межах розгалуженої логістичної інфраструк- тури, обґрунтовано спільні проблеми і перешкоди щодо створення потуж- них ефективних агрологістичних сис- тем на рівні господарюючих суб’єктів. Розроблено алгоритм проектування мережі заготівельно-розподільчих цен- трів регіонального плодопродуктового підкомплексу. Проведено оцінювання соціально-економічних факторів роз- витку районів Вінницької області таздійснено їх ранжування з точки зору логістичної привабливості. Розробле- ний проект мережі заготівельно-роз- подільчих центрів пропонується ре- алізувати на інвестиційній основі із залученням бюджетного фінансуван- ня, банківського капіталу, страхових компаній, інших кредитних установ із обов’язковим дотриманням принци- пу пріоритету інтересів безпосередніх учасників плодопродуктової вертикалі – сільськогосподарських товаровироб- ників та переробних підприємств.
The peculiarities of the formation of the system of the distribution logistics of horticultural enterprises, involving intermediaries within an extensive logistics infrastructure, was analyzed in the article. The common problems and obstacles of creating powerful efficient agro logistics systems on the level of economic entities were proved. The algorithm of network design for procurement and distribution centers for food regional sub-complex was worked out. An assessment of socio- economic factors of districts of Vinnytsia region development and their ranking in terms of logistics attractiveness was made. The designed project of procurement and distribution centers is proposed to implement on the investment basis with the assistance of budget funding, bank capital, insurance companies and other lending institutions with the mandatory compliance of the principle of interests priority of direct participants of fruit – food vertical, that is agricultural producers and processing enterprises.

Celem artykułu było określenie poziomu zaawansowania procesów w łańcuchach dostaw polskich przedsiębiorstw przetwórstwa rolno-spożywczego. W ramach badań ankietowych uzyskano odpowiedzi od 507 przedsiębiorstw agrobiznesu, z czego do analizy wybrano 211 firm sklasyfikowanych do kluczowych branż agrobiznesu: przetwórstwa mięsa, mleka, owoców i warzyw oraz zbóż. Uzyskane wyniki badań pozwalają stwierdzić, że zarówno zakres, jak i poziom stosowanych rozwiązań logistycznych w przedsiębiorstwach agrobiznesu jest bardzo zróżnicowany. Najbardziej rozwinięte rozwiązania w zakresie logistyki posiadają duże i średnie przedsiębiorstwa agrobiznesu, w których najczęściej m.in.: funkcjonują odrębne działy logistyki, stosuje się narzędzia wspierające planowanie zaopatrzenia i produkcji oraz stosuje się zintegrowane rozwiązania informatyczne.
The paper presents some technical and organizational solutions in supply chain in Polish agribusiness enterprises. Material and methods The survey was conducted on the agri-food companies. The amount of the sent questionnaires reached 10 thousand; 507 companies have responded to the survey (5.07%). The level of logistics organizations in selected areas were evaluated depending on the branch of agribusiness firms. The companies were classified as processing meat, milk, fruit and vegetables, cereals. Results The most advanced solutions in logistics have large and medium-sized agribusiness enterprises, which include mostly to the existence of separate departments of logistics, the most use of transport services and the most commonly used integrated IT solutions. Conclusions The analysis shows that the scope and level of applied logistics solutions in agribusiness enterprises is very diverse. The proper organization of the logistics processes in Polish agribusiness companies, suitable for the particular sector, may undoubtedly improve the competitiveness among the companies by optimization of costs, as well as offering a higher level of customer service.

Opis:

An attempt of evaluation of level and structure of logistics costs in chosen great area agricultural enterprises was shown in the paper. The results of the research have shown, that great area agricultural enterprises have got high share costs of logistics both in total costs of production ? 42.2%, and in selling value of products and services ? 27.5%. Costs of physical flow of materials predominate in the structure of total logistics costs of great area agricultural enterprises ? 86.5%
W pracy podjęto próbę oszacowania wysokości i struktury kosztów logistycznych w wybranych wielkoobszarowych przedsiębiorstwach rolnych. Wyniki badań wykazały, iż przedsiębiorstwa rolne cechuje duży udział kosztów logistyki zarówno w stosunku do całkowitych kosztów produkcji - 42,2%, jak i w stosunku do wartości sprzedaży wyrobów i usług - 27,5%. W strukturze kosztów logistyki przedsiębiorstw rolnych zdecydowanie dominują koszty fizycznego przepływu materiałów - 86,5%.

The publication describes the place and role of supply logistics in a logistics system. The definition of logistics was presented both in terms of the system and the process. The goals and tasks of supply logistics were discussed, assigning specific activities to tasks. The purchasing process was characterized by outlining the scope of operation of the procurement services. The management of the purchasing process was analyzed by describing the purchasing activities included in its composition. The inventory was defined and the issue of inventory management was introduced through the presentation of the basic methods used in inventory management.

Aim/purpose–The aim of the paper is to identify the features of ‘green’ small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland.Design/methodology/approach –The paper is based on a quantitative approach and a group of 200 small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland were examined. The classification tree method was used to analyze the data gathered.Findings–The ‘green’ small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland were characterized and their important features were identified, e.g., belonging to the TFL (Transport Forwarding Logistics) sector and a direct relationship with the supply chain leader. In the case of enterprises from the TFL sector, their area of activity is a natural environment for the development of ‘green logistics’ practices.In turn, the supply chain leader usually pushes for specific solutions aimed at achieving the assumed goals, including environmental goals.Research implications/limitations–The research results enable the identification process of small and medium-sized enterprises interested in implementing the ‘green logistics’ concept and, consequently, their support. Nevertheless, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in Poland were the only examined, thus the research findings cannot be generalized for other countries. However, the paper could be a starting point for comparative analyses on an international scale.Originality/value/contribution–The development of ‘green logistics’ among small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland is still not recognized by researchers. The paper is a valuable addition to this research gap.

Opis:

Purpose: The aim of the article is to analyse key logistics challenges in the enterprise management in contemporary conditions on the example of selected manufacturing and trading enterprises. On the basis of the literature studies, the author has presented contemporary trends in enterprise management and analysed key logistics challenges related to them. The research methodology has been described and the examined population has been briefly characterized. The results of the research concerning key logistics challenges in the management of the surveyed manufacturing and trading enterprises have been presented. Design/methodology/approach: The article is based on the study of literature and own empirical research. The results of the author’s empirical research presented in the article come from more extensive surveys conducted in 2017 regarding the analysis of logistics systems and logistics processes management in Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises in 2014-2016 in the context of building enterprise competitiveness. The research was conducted by the use of direct interview method with managers responsible for logistics in the surveyed companies using the author’s detailed questionnaire. 298 small, medium and large enterprises were examined from Warmia-Masuria Province (55.4%) and Podlasie Province (44.6%), characterized by a diversified competitive position on the market. Findings: The conducted research confirmed that meeting the contemporary challenges of enterprise management depends more and more on logistics. Logistics activities and logistics solutions enabled the surveyed companies to create competitive advantage, increase profit, profitability and enterprise value, and build competitiveness. Logistics managers from the best surveyed companies combined a strategic approach for creating a comprehensive concept of logistics activities and solutions with a quick and adequate response to permanently changing market conditions. Due to the limited volume of the article, only selected aspects of key logistics challenges in the management of the surveyed enterprises were presented. Research limitations/implications: The literature emphasizes that logistics will have an ever growing influence on enterprise management, which is also confirmed by the empirical studies; more and more logistics managers, including in Polish companies, administer logistics processes on the scale of an enterprise and the entire supply chain, or on the scale of an enterprise including opportunities and threats resulting from the existence of a network of co-operators and opportunities associated with establishing relationships with new co-operators. The issues presented in the article require further, in-depth research. Practical implications: The results of theoretical and empirical studies presented in the article have a practical significance. The author offered logistics managers of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises practical suggestions for using logistics in the process of enterprise management and presented key challenges related to them. Originality/value: The article fills the cognitive gap regarding the issues of key logistics challenges in enterprise management in contemporary conditions. The author carried out a comprehensive literature review on contemporary trends in the enterprise management and analysis of key logistics challenges related to them. The article also fills the empirical gap. It presents the research results concerning key logistics challenges in management of the surveyed manufacturing and trading enterprises. The research results presented in the article can be used by logistics managers of Polish manufacturing and trading enterprises.

The article discusses the process of logistic customer service in large-scale retail businesses. It presents its purpose, stages and tasks, applied criteria and documents, as well as the responsible persons and contractors for particular tasks. The implementation of the adopted topic took place through: determining the current state of knowledge in the field of logistic customer service, the characteristics of the logistics system in the surveyed commercial units, and the identification and description of the activities carried out there in the field of customer service. The applied research method was a critical review of the subject literature and direct observation.

Human resources are an important factor in logistics. Their lack of or gaps in competence development cause serious consequences. The aim of the article is to indicate the main factors that may shape the sphere of human resources in logistics, their importance and the need to develop cooperation between enterprises in this area. This study is exploratory (literature studies, internet resources). The subject matter is also the result of the author’s research and the LOGOS scientific research project. The content of the article is based on analysis of the factors that have been identified in the source materials. The principle of comparing and searching for analogous subjects in the sources has been adopted. The most important conclusion drawn from the content is to ensure the development of human resources in logistics and to develop cooperation due to the emerging challenges of staff shortages and the development of new technologies.
Zasoby ludzkie w logistyce są istotnym czynnikiem. Ich brak lub luki w rozwoju kompetencji powodują poważne skutki. Celem artykułu jest wskazanie głównych czynników, które mogą kształtować sferę zasobów ludzkich w logistyce, ich znaczenia i konieczności rozwijania współpracy przedsiębiorstw w tej sferze. Przeprowadzone badania mają charakter eksploracyjny (studia literaturowe, zasoby Internetu). Podjęcie tematyki jest także rezultatem badań własnych oraz projektu badań naukowych LOGOS. Treść artykułu powstała na podstawie analizy czynników, które zostały zidentyfikowane w materiałach źródłowych. Przyjęta została zasada porównywania i poszukiwania analogii tematyki w źródłach. Najważniejszym wnioskiem płynącym z treści jest zapewnienie rozwoju zasobów ludzkich w logistyce oraz konieczność rozwijania współpracy ze względu na pojawiające się wyzwania: brak pracowników i rozwój nowych technologii.

W szczególności jako kluczowe, stanowiące łącznie o istocie i walorach logistyki jako zintegrowanej koncepcji, przyjęto oraz poddano identyfikacji kolejno następujące wymiary logistyki: zarządczy, systemowy, procesowy, rynkowy, efektywnościowy i organizacyjny. W toku identyfikacji starano się wskazać na istotne nowe wyzwania pod adresem współczesnej praktyki przedsiębiorstw oraz rzeczywiste i potencjalne korzyści dla klientów i przedsiębiorstwa, związane z wdrażaniem wspomnianych orientacji i wymiarów logistyki.
The article attempts to define and identify the basic dimensions of the contemporary logistics, perceived as the properties constituting and determining its nature and structure, in the context of development and integration in the scale of both the enterprise and the market. In particular, the following key consecutive dimensions of logistics were presented and identified: managerial, systemic, process, market, performance and organizational. These dimensions together make up the nature and qualities of logistics as an integrated concept. In the identification process, there was an attempt to identify significant new challenges regarding the contemporary practice of enterprises as well as real and potential benefits for customers and enterprises, related to the implementation of these orientations and dimensions of logistics.

Risk is an inherent feature of property development projects conducted on the real estate market. Therefore, developers have to be able to manage risk using specific methods. This also refers to the category of logistics risk. In property development business, however, risk needs to be accurately identified before it can be quantified and adequate risk responses can be considered. These issues are addressed in the scientific paper, which aims to outline the risks encountered in the real estate market, with the focus on logistics risk. In particular, it constitutes an attempt to indicate possible applications of the risk management in property development enterprises as a way of supporting logistic activities undertaken by developers in investment processes. In addition to the theoretical deliberations, the findings of the empirical research conducted among the major property developers operating on the Polish market are presented.
Immanentną cechą projektów deweloperskich realizowanych na rynku nieruchomości jest ryzyko. Deweloperzy muszą zatem umieć zarządzać ryzykiem wykorzystując w tym celu określone metody. Dotyczy to również kategorii ryzyka logistycznego. W działalności deweloperskiej zanim jednak ryzyko zostanie skwantyfikowane wymagana jest jego dokładna identyfikacja, co następnie umożliwi właściwą reakcję na ryzyko. Kwestiom tym poświęcony jest niniejszy artykuł naukowy, którego celem jest przedstawienie problematyki identyfikacji ryzyka deweloperskiego ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kategorii ryzyka logistycznego. W szczególności jego celem jest wskazanie możliwości wykorzystania zarządzania ryzykiem w przedsiębiorstwach deweloperskich jako elementu wspomagania realizacji działań logistycznych w procesach inwestycyjnych realizowanych przez deweloperów. Rozważania teoretyczne uzupełniają wyniki badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych wśród największych deweloperów działających na rynku polskim.

Postępujący rozwój gospodarczy oraz wzrost konkurencji rynkowej wymagają od przedsiębiorstw prowadzenia efektywnych działań zmierzających do jak najlepszego zaspokajania potrzeb klientów w sposób konkurencyjny, a zarazem zyskowny. Niezbędne jest przy tym takie postępowanie, który zmniejszy ryzyko, z jakim ma do czynienia każde przedsiębiorstwo prowadzące działalność gospodarczą. Sprzyja temu obsługa klienta, która jest podstawowym i jednocześnie wieloaspektowym pojęciem w logistyce. Dokonując przeglądu literatury można zauważyć, że logistyczna obsługa klienta postrzegana jest jako zdolność zaspokajania wymagań oraz oczekiwań klientów, głównie co do miejsca i czasu zamawianych dostaw, przy wykorzystaniu wszystkich dostępnych form aktywności logistycznej, w tym transportu, magazynowania, zarządzania zapasami, informacją oraz opakowaniami. Stanowi jeden z najważniejszych elementów strategii firmy.
Constantly changing market conditions are forcing companies to take steps to change the approach to the customer. This approach should be sufficiently flexible to each client had a feeling that is the most important, and the created tenders should take into account their needs and expectations. The emphasis on professionalism handling manifested in meeting the standards, clearly it affects customer satisfaction throughout the stage of the logistics process. Establishing standards is a confirmation of consistency and accuracy operate. It should be noted that the increasing customer awareness is forcing companies to look for newer and newer sources of competition. The age-old means of influence declined in importance, and therefore began to pay special attention to the logistics customer service. It has become an excellent area to increase customer satisfaction through: increasing the availability of products, convenient time of delivery, convenience of placing orders, after sales service, etc. Apart from policy formulation support, develop standards and continuous control and monitoring of the process, if the company does not will introduce changes whose aim is to eliminate errors arising in the organization, and do not begin to treat the customer as a source of benefits for the company, implementation of the system of submitting the proper handling the customer will be impossible. The purpose of business is to strive for compliance with customer expectations.

Współczesna gospodarka magazynowa spełnia bardzo ważną funkcję w zarządzaniu przedsiębiorstwem, a magazyn jest integralną częścią łańcucha logistycznego w danej organizacji. Funkcjonowanie procesu magazynowania głównie zależy od prawidłowo spełnionych warunków organizacyjno-technicznych. Eliminacja źródeł nieefektywności procesów magazynowych może przyczynić się do znacznych oszczędności a optymalizacja zachodzących procesów w magazynie nie musi być przedsięwzięciem bardzo złożonym i wymagającym. W artykule przedstawiono logistykę procesu magazynowania w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie, zdiagnozowano problemy funkcjonalne oraz zaprezentowano propozycje optymalizacji procesu magazynowania.
The modern storage fulfills a very important role in business management, and storage is an integral part of the logistics chain in the organization. The functioning of the storage process mainly depends on properly met organizational and technical conditions. Eliminating sources of inefficiency warehouse processes can contribute to significant cost savings and optimization of the processes in the warehouse need not be project very complex and demanding. The article presents the logistics of the process of storage in a selected company, diagnosed functional problems and presents proposals for optimizing the storage process.

The article raised the problem of creating innovation and stimulating the creativity of enterprises as an important area of research. An attempt was made to define innovation and its types. It also indicated that the modern innovations are an important factor of development companies, determining its competitive advantage. Therefore, the aim is to understand the innovation through the prism of scale of the use of innovative solutions, including the conditions that contribute to their implementation.

Celem artykułu jest wskazanie na efekty, jakie przynosi klastrowanie się branż transportu, spedycji, logistyki dla rozwoju regionu (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem aspektów klastrowania TSL w regionie śląskim). W artykule podano też przykłady logistycznych klastrów europejskich, które miały swój udział w rozwoju regionów UE. Wymieniono elementy, na które należy zwrócić szczególną uwagę, inicjując proces klastrowania sektora TSL.
The aim of the article is to emphasize how clusters affect industries of transport, freight forwarding and logistics for the development of a region (with particular reference to aspects of clusters for the TSL within the Silesian region). Also, the article gives examples of European clusters which participated in the development of regions within the EU. The article focuses on the elements which need particular attention when initiating the process of cluster for the TSL sector.

On the basis of the literature studies, the process of building the competitiveness of a service enterprise and the influence of logistics on the competitiveness of contemporary service enterprises has been presented. The research methodology has been described and a short description of the examined population has been made. The results of the research on selected aspects of logistics conditions in the management of the surveyed enterprises have been presented.

Opis:

Background: Despite the large number of studies on various aspects and forms of supply chain collaboration, the issue is still classified as a relatively poorly recognized research problem in the logistics field. This article is crucial in the discussion on the further directions for the development of cross-organizational collaboration. The main objective of these studies was to assess the readiness of companies to start and develop vertical and horizontal collaboration within logistics. Methods: The research problem was analysed on the basis of primary and secondary data sources. Primary research was conducted among manufacturing and trade companies as well as logistics service providers. In the statistical description the Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon test were used. It was assumed that the result was statistically significant for p<0.05. Results: The results show a high readiness of the companies surveyed for further vertical integration and two variables had a statistically significant effect on the assessment of the respondents, i.e. the current level of integration and the role the respondents played in the supply chain. As far as horizontal cooperation is concerned, the readiness of the companies surveyed for further integration was slightly above the average level. Compared to vertical collaboration, the difference between the average rating was statistically highly significant. Conclusions: The study indicates the need for the companies surveyed to be involved in logistics collaboration. However, it should be emphasized that the respondents prefer collaboration with companies which do not operate at the same level in the supply chain. As far as horizontal collaboration is concerned, the results can be explained by a number of concerns expressed by the respondents regarding the behavior of potential collaborators. Apparently, in this case, an individual approach with a competitive attitude dominates among the respondents.
Wstęp: Pomimo dużej liczby badań poświęconych różnym aspektom i formom współpracy zachodzącej w łańcuchu dostaw, zagadnienie to nadal zaliczane jest do stosunkowo słabo rozpoznanych problemów badawczych. Wobec powyższego, niniejszy artykuł stanowi głos w dyskusji poświęconej dalszym kierunkom rozwoju współpracy międzyorganizacyjnej. Głównym celem podjętych badań była ocena gotowości przedsiębiorstw do podjęcia i rozwoju kolaboracji w obszarze logistyki. Metody: Podjęty problem badawczy zrealizowano na podstawie wtórnych i pierwotnych źródeł danych. Badania pierwotne przeprowadzono wśród przedsiębiorstw produkcyjnych, handlowych oraz usługodawców logistycznych. W statystycznej analizie wyników badań użyto dwóch testów nieparametrycznych. Przyjęto, że wynik jest istotny statystycznie dla p<0,05. Wyniki: Wyniki badań wskazują na wysoką gotowość badanych przedsiębiorstw do rozwoju współpracy wertykalnej, a statystycznie istotny wpływ na oceny respondentów miały tu dwie zmienne, tj. model dotychczasowej współpracy oraz rola, która badani pełnili w łańcuchu dostaw. Jeśli chodzi o kolaborację horyzontalną to gotowość badanych firm do jej podjęcia nie jest tak wyraźnie zauważalna jak przy współpracy wertykalnej. Różnica między średnimi ocen okazała się tu być wysoce istotna statystycznie. Wnioski: Przeprowadzone badania wskazują na potrzebę kolaboracji w obszarze logistyki wśród ankietowanych przedsiębiorstw, choć należy podkreślić, że badani preferują współpracę z firmami znajdującymi się na innym poziomie łańcucha dostaw. W odniesieniu do współpracy horyzontalnej otrzymane wyniki można tłumaczyć licznymi obawami respondentów dotyczącymi zachowań potencjalnych kolaborantów. Najprawdopodobniej, w tym przypadku, wśród respondentów dominuje podejście indywidualistyczne z nastawieniem rywalizacyjnym.

The paper presents the relationship between the level of logistics and the solutions applied in the agribusiness enterprises. The research was conducted in 504 companies. The logistics level was determined on the basis of contribution of cost of logistics in the overall expenses of the company and based on existence of a separate logistics department in a given company. Relevant dependence has been detected only between existence of a separate organisational unit dedicated to logistics and the solutions applied in the area of logistics. For level of logistics costs, in most cases, no significant correlation with the use of information technology was seen. The share of cost of logistics in company expenses was determined to be a poor indicator of level of logistics and modernity of the company.

Opis:

Purpose: Corporate Social Responsibility should have its origin in law enforcement and consist in the implementation of additional, voluntary practices, reaching further than statutory obligations. These practices should be permanent, strategic, long-term, they are to support the development of enterprises in different areas of operation. The objective of this article is an attempt to present the results of the research into practices of corporate social responsibility in management processes of contemporary enterprises located in southern Poland in the Silesian Voivodeship. Design/methodology/approach: The empirical research was conducted on the basis of anonymous data obtained from the surveys. The target group of the surveyed enterprises was the entities established in the area of southern Poland in the Silesian Voivodeship. Findings: The surveyed enterprises seem to partially take into account corporate social responsibility as the concept of management of business entities, according to which enterprises conduct business activities taking into account not only own profits but also social and environmental interests in their surrounding. The idea and the principles of corporate social responsibility, at the level of the surveyed companies forming logistic structures, while constituting the link of the supply chain, marginally related to raising the awareness of their operations, both leading to the maintenance of relationships with business partners and the actions oriented towards the inside of the organization. Originality/value: This paper provides research results on CSR practices in enterprises of southern Poland, taking into account logistics area and analysis of selected correlations.

Przedstawiono poziom i strukturę kosztów infrastruktury logistycznej oraz udział tych kosztów w całkowitych kosztach produkcji, nadwyżce bezpośredniej oraz wartości produkcji towarowej. Określono również wskaźniki aktywności zasobów logistyki, efektywności wykorzystania infrastruktury logistycznej oraz inwestycyjności logistycznej. Stwierdzono m.in., że koszty infrastruktury logistycznej w zależności od typu gospodarstwa stanowią w całkowitych kosztach produkcji 36,4%-69,4%.
The paper presents the level and structure of logistic infrastructure costs and the share of these costs in total production costs, direct surplus and commodity production value. Moreover, the research allowed to determine activity indexes for logistics resources, logistic infrastructure utilization efficiency, and logistic investment potential. Among other things it has been found that, depending on farm type, logistic infrastructure costs constitute 36.4% - 69.4% of total production costs.

Purpose: an attempt to implement the methodology of network thinking in the process of creating procurement strategies for companies. Design/methodology/approach: The basic research methods used in this paper include an in-depth interview with procurement specialists from the selected large companies from the Wielkopolska region. The interview was conducted to identify basic factors influencing the procurement process. Then, elements of network thinking methodology were used to design a procurement strategy. This is a methodology of systemic origin and it allows to analyse the examined phenomena holistically. Findings: The applied research tool allowed us to discern the most important factors the entrepreneurs should take into account when designing their procurement strategies. Research limitations/implications: Due to the fact, that there is a network structure linking manufacturing, trade and service companies, this methodology should be increasingly used while designing corporate strategies. Practical implications: In currently deteriorating market conditions, procurement may increase in importance. Entrepreneurs must strive to maintain continuity of the production process, and this is – undoubtedly – related to meeting the company’s needs for materials. Social implications: The results of this research underline the importance of extensive cooperation with many suppliers, especially in times of economic crisis. Thanks to it, many companies in the industry will be able to survive and develop. Originality/value: An important value of this piece of research lies in the attempt to implement and popularize network methods in the process of creating strategies.

W świetle zaprezentowanych wyników potwierdza się pogląd o niskiej innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw TSL. Innowacyjność na tym rynku wyraża się przede wszystkim w innowacjach „miękkich”: o charakterze procesowym i organizacyjnym. Zwiastunem pozytywnych tendencji na drodze ku zwiększaniu innowacyjności na tym rynku są rosnące nakłady na działalność innowacyjną.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze of innovativeness of enterprises on TSL market in Poland in the years 2012-2014 with regard to: innovation activity, types of innovation, investments on innovative activity and revenues from sale of innovative products. The defined objective was realized through the analysis of literature and desk research based on Central Statistical Office`s data. In the light of presented results it confirms the view of low innovativeness of enterprises on TSL market. Innovativeness on this market is expressed mainly in “soft” innovation: procedural and organizational. Growing expenditures on innovation activity might be as a herald of positive trends towards increasing innovation on this market.

The article discusses the basic documents of changes in the European Union towards the circular economy. Organizations undertake symbiotic cooperation in line with the guidelines of economic transformation. It was indicated what benefits they obtain on this account. The role of reverse logistics in the transformation of the European economy is presented, which can be implemented through alternative channels that use the solution of a company that forces it to remodel its business strategy by modifying it to a changing market. The aim of the article is to present the opportunities offered to companies and consumers by new business models on the example of selected companies. The research problem concerns the analysis of changes made by selected companies and their impact on waste logistics.

Ranga podejmowanych przedsięwzięć o innowacyjnym oraz niepowtarzalnym charakterze, generowanie nowych rozwiązań i pomysłów realizowanych w formie projektów, są doskonałym odzwierciedleniem adaptacyjności przedsiębiorstw w kierunku przeobrażeń zachodzących w otoczeniu. Ze względu na niepowtarzalność tych przedsięwzięć logistyk może mieć za każdym razem problem z radzeniem sobie w nowych warunkach. W artykule przedstawiono istotę zmian w kierunku zarządzania projektami logistycznymi, będącego szczególnym rodzajem działań adaptacyjnych przedsiębiorstw. Odniesiono się do roli znaczenia logistyki w naukach o zarządzaniu. Scharakteryzowano podstawowe cechy projektów logistycznych. Zaprezentowano przykład realizacji przewozu ładunków ponadnormatywnych, będącego specyficznym rodzajem projektu logistycznego.
The article presents the essence of the changes in the management of logistics projects which are a special kind of enterprise adaptation capabilities. The paper identifies key factors that need to be taken under consideration when planning such projects. The authors presents logistics services as a special kind of logistics projects – transportation of non-standard cargos. The services are the application of competences by one entity for the benefit of another. These logistics services are a unique subset of industrial services. These kind of services span the boundaries between suppliers and customers and have become increasingly important to successful supply chain operations.

Problemy związane z logistyką międzynarodową stają się współcześnie częścią działalności strategicznej i operacyjnej przedsiębiorstw. Szczególnym przypadkiem w tym zakresie, ze względu na specyfikę swojej działalności, są przedsiębiorstwa branży TSL. Działalność i kondycja dużych podmiotów są przedmiotem licznych opracowań badawczych. Problemy zarządzania w przedsiębiorstwach małych i średnich, choć stanowią one blisko 98% branży w Polsce, wymagają jednak dalszych badań. Uwarunkowania problemów zarządzania MSP w branży TSL są przedmiotem niniejszych rozważań. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie tych uwarunkowań oraz uchwycenie znaczenia i specyfiki sektora MSP w Polsce na tle Unii Europejskiej. Ujęcie to dotyczy w szczególności uwarunkowań zewnętrznych wynikających m.in. z wdrażania nowych rozwiązań regulacyjnych powiązanych z europejską polityką logistyczną. W pracy zastosowano metodę studium literatury przedmiotu oraz przeprowadzono analizę dostępnych raportów i wskaźników branżowych. Biorąc pod uwagę specyfikę sektora MSP oraz kontekst rozwoju branży w wymiarze międzynarodowym, istotne staje się zbadanie, w jaki sposób przedstawione w pracy uwarunkowania wpływają na problematykę zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Podjęto próbę zdefiniowania najważniejszych kierunków badań sektora MSP wynikających z tych uwarunkowań.
Nowadays, problems related to international logistics are becoming a part of the strategic and operational activities of enterprises. Due to the specificity of their activity, particularly affected are in this respect companies from the TSL industry. The activity and condition of large entities are the subjects of numerous research studies. Management problems in small and medium-sized enterprises, although they account for nearly 98% of the industry in Poland, still require further research. Determinants of the problems of SME management in the TSL industry are the subject of these considerations. The article aims to present these conditions and capture the significance and specificity of the SME sector in Poland against the background of the European Union. This approach applies in particular to external conditions resulting, among others, from the implementation of new regulatory solutions related to the European logistics policy. The study uses the literature review method and analyzes the available industry reports and indicators. Taking into account the specifics of the SME sector and the context of the industry’s development in the international dimension, it becomes important to examine how the conditions presented in the paper influence the issues of enterprise management. An attempt was made to define the most important directions of research in the SME sector resulting from these conditions.

Safety and quality management are very important elements of managing production and service processes. It is important not only to manage in itself, but above all to constantly improve processes and constantly strive for excellence. However, continuous improvement of the organization is one of the key principles of quality management, it states that improvement can be obtained from the analysis of existing processes or measurement results. In this paper the level of occupational health and safety in european enterprises providing transport and logistics services in terms of quality management principles. On the basis of the presented results it was found that in large enterprises safety management principles are respected, while in small and medium enterprises the level of safety does not look very promising. An interesting phenomenon was observed in the case of micro-enterprises (family businesses). Research shows that employees know and adhere to the safety principle, but they do not see too much change in improving the level of safety.

Na rozwój małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw ma wpływ wiele czynników o różnym charakterze. Należą do nich czynniki zewnętrzne, pochodzące z szeroko rozumianego otoczenia (makrootoczenia, mezootoczenia i mikrootoczenia), jak również czynniki wewnętrzne (związane z osobą właściciela i odnoszące się do charakterystyki przedsiębiorstwa), określające możliwości, jakimi dysponuje przedsiębiorstwo. Mogą być one stymulatorami lub barierami rozwoju małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw. Gdy stają się barierami, szczególnie zasadna wydaje się polityka wsparcia tego sektora ze strony instytucji otoczenia biznesu. Jednak, jak wskazują liczne badania, działania tych instytucji są niewystarczające. Celem niniejszego opracowania jest identyfikacja i ocena wsparcia rozwoju małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw przez instytucje otoczenia biznesu w województwie łódzkim na przykładzie usługodawców logistycznych.
The development of small and medium-sized enterprises is influenced by many factors of a different nature. These include external factors derived from the environment (macro-, meso- and micro-environment), as well as internal factors (related to the person of the owner and referring to the characteristics of the enterprise) that determine capabilities of the given company. These factors can be stimulants or barriers to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. In particular when they become barriers, a policy of support for this sector provided by business environment institutions seems to be justified. However, as indicated by numerous studies, activities undertaken by these institutions are insufficient. The aim of this paper is the identification and evaluation of support for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises provided by business environment institutions in the Lodz region, illustrated with the example of logistics service providers.

Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka procesu inwentaryzacji w systemach logistycznych przedsiębiorstwa handlu detalicznego wielko-powierzchniowego, poprzez wskazanie jego celu, zakresu, etapów oraz obowiązu-jących zasad. Pierwsza jego część będzie zawierać opis badanego podmiotu w trzech wymiarach, tj. podmiotowym, rzeczowym oraz czynnościowym. Wynikiem końcowym będzie identyfikacja jego struktury organizacyjnej oraz opracowanie planu zagospodarowania jego powierzchni. Dodatkowo wskazany zostanie zakres stosowanych urządzeń technicznych oraz zidentyfikowane będą główne procesy logistyczne. Druga część referatu będzie omawiać pojęcie „inwentaryzacja”, cele szczegółowe tego procesu oraz zawierać będzie jego charakterystykę, przyjmując kryterium zakresu, rodzaju, sposobu przeprowadzenia oraz metody. Ponadto zostanie wskazany obowiązujący termin realizacji inwentaryzacji, jej zakres przedmiotowy oraz osoby odpowiedzialne. W trzeciej części publikacji wyznaczone zostaną etapy procesu inwentaryzacji na potrzeby badanego systemu wraz z podaniem harmonogramu ich realizacji. Omówione zostaną podstawowe zasady obowiązujące oraz powszechnie stosowane dokumenty. W końcowej części referatu przedstawione będą błędy, jakie mogą wystąpić podczas realizacji tego procesu oraz wskazane zostaną ich przyczyny.
The aim of this paper is the characteristic of an inventory process in the logistic system of a large-area retail enterprises defining a purpose, scope, responsibilities, stages and rules. The first part will contain a description of the audited subject in three dimensions, it means: subjective, objective and functional. The final result will be to identify the organizational structure and to prepare a development plan of its area. Additionally it will be indicated the applied technical equipment and the main logistic processes will be identified. The second part of the paper will be devoted to the concept of inventory, the specific objectives of this process and will include the characteristics of accepting the criteria of scope, type and manner of conducting the method. There will be also indicated a valid inventory deadline, its scope and responsible individuals. In the third part of the paper on the needs of logistics system there will be indicated the stages of this process, together with a timetable for their implementation. We will discuss the basic rules and commonly used documents. In the final part of the paper there will be presented the errors that may occur during the inventory process and there will be indicated their reasons.

W pracy przedstawiono ocenę sprawności działania polskich przedsiębiorstw przemysłu spożywczego oraz ich rentowności z uwzględnieniem ich podziału branżowego oraz podziału według wielkości zatrudnienia. Przedstawiono również ocenę siły zależności pomiędzy poziomem zaawansowania wykorzystywanych rozwiązań z zakresu logistyki i zarządzania informacją a badanymi wskaźnikami efektywności i rentowności. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają występowanie w sektorze spożywczym paradoksu produktywności Solowa, co wskazuje na poszerzenie jego zakresu również o systemy logistyczne. Niemniej w niektórych branżach, np. mięsnej czy paszowej, wydaje się on nie występować.
The paper presents the evaluation of the efficiency of the Polish agri-food industry and its profitability taking into account its division of industry and employment size. It also evaluates the strength of the relationship between the level of advancement of the logistics and information management solutions used and the indicators of efficiency and profitability. The results confirm the presence of the Solow productivity paradox in the food sector, which shows that its scope is broadened by including logistics systems. However, it appears that in some industries, e.g. meat or feed industry, the Solow productivity paradox does not exist.

W dążeniu do osiągania przewagi konkurencyjnej istotną rolę odgrywają obecnie rozwiązania przyjęte w obszarze działalności logistycznej przedsiębiorstwa. Jakkolwiek zrozumiałe wydaje się w tym zakresie projektowanie logistyki w sposób ułatwiający przepływ towarów w przedsiębiorstwie oraz pomiędzy przedsiębiorstwami w łańcuchu dostaw, to jednak coraz większą uwagę skupia się na organizacji logistyki zwrotów towarów, odpadów i surowców wtórnych. W systemowym ujęciu logistyki zwrotów odpadów i surowców wtórnych jako inspirację można potraktować system oraz propozycję opisu i analizy systemu zarządzania przedstawioną w pracy pod redakcją Adama Stabryły (2010, s. 21). W zaprezentowanym podejściu uwzględniono potrzebę ujęcia celów systemu, umiejscowienia stanowisk odpowiedzialnych za decyzje w badanym systemie w strukturze organizacyjnej, funkcji i procesów w systemie oraz narzędzi wykorzystywanych w realizacji wyróżnionych procesów. W niniejszym artykule przedłożono propozycję systemowego ujęcia działalności logistycznej w obszarze zwrotów towarów, wycofywania odpadów oraz zagospodarowania surowców wtórnych. Uwzględnione zostały cele takiego systemu, rozwiązania dotyczące stanowisk decyzyjnych w strukturze organizacyjnej, procesy oraz narzędzia wykorzystywane w zarządzaniu działaniami w tym obszarze.
Nowadays, in order to achieve competitive advantage, the solutions adopted in the area of logistic activities of a firm play an important role. Designing logistics to facilitate the movement of goods within an enterprise or enterprises in the supply chain seems understandable in this area, however, more attention is attributed to the organization of logistics concerning the return of goods, waste and secondary raw materials. The system and the proposal of the description and analysis of the management system presented in the work edited by Adam Stabryła (2010, p. 21) may be an inspiration in the systemic approach of logistics regarding the return of waste and secondary raw materials. The presented approach takes into account the need for the recognition of the system purposes, placement of the positions responsible for decisions in the surveyed system in the organizational structure, placement of functions and processes in the system and tools used in the implementation of the distinguished processes. The article presents a proposal for the systemic approach of logistic operations in respect of product returns, the withdrawal of waste and the management of secondary raw materials. The objectives of such a system, solutions for decision-making positions in the organizational structure, processes and tools used in the management of the activities in this field were taken into account.

Secondly, it gives a deep insight in application of before introduced methods in companies in Slovakia featuring discussions on cross-disciplinary cutting policy issues from the management perspective, such as economical, environmental and societal impact on the stakeholders and environment.

Opis:

Cluster initiatives are designed to integrate different types of entities operating in related sectors in one geographical area. Literature has divided clusters into decentralized and centralized ones. The development of clusters also means benefits for the development of local entrepreneurship. Clusters, as open formations, create value chains that largely connect the local business environment, increase the intensity, develop it, and influence the quality of the relationship. The most important is that they attract new entities to cooperate, while creating the right conditions for the emergence of new companies. In this way, a natural mechanism that stimulates cooperation and development of enterprises is created, which translates into the development of the region. Due to the importance of clusters for the economic development of the region and the country, it is necessary to have a broad knowledge about clusters, their development status, dependencies related to the flows of materials and information within them. The research was carried out by means of interviews with the use of a questionnaire, on a sample of 12 production entities. The aim of the work is to get to know the opinions of cluster members on the subject of interrelations within the cluster in terms of the flow of goods and information.
Inicjatywy klastrowe mają za zadanie integrowanie w jednym obszarze geograficznym różnego typu podmiotów funkcjonujących w pokrewnych sektorach. W literaturze dokonano podziału klastrów na zdecentralizowane i scentralizowane. Rozwój klastrów to także korzyści dla rozwoju lokalnej przedsiębiorczości. Klastry, jako formacje otwarte tworzą łańcuchy wartości, które w znacznej części łączą lokalne środowisko biznesowe, zwiększają intensywność, rozwijają je, oraz wpływają na jakość relacji. Najważniejszym jest, że przyciągają nowe podmioty do współpracy, tworząc przy tym odpowiednie warunki do powstawania nowych firm. Powstaje w ten sposób naturalny mechanizm pobudzający współpracę i rozwój przedsiębiorstw, który przekłada się na rozwój regionu. Ze względu na znaczenie klastrów dla rozwoju gospodarczego regionu i kraju, niezbędna jest szeroka wiedza na temat klastrów, ich stanu rozwoju, zależności związanych z przepływami materiałów i informacji w ich obrębie. Badania zostały przeprowadzone wywiadów autorskich z wykorzystaniem ankiety, na próbie celowej 12 podmiotów produkcyjnych. Celem pracy jest poznanie opinii członków klastra na temat wzajemnych powiązań wewnątrz klastra w zakresie przepływu towarów i informacji.

Celem artykułu jest konfrontacja teoretycznych podstaw modelu Rogersa z praktyką gospodarczą na przykładzie funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstw logistycznych działających na terenie Dolnego Śląska. Zaprezentowane wnioski w niniejszym opracowaniu zostały wyciągnięte na podstawie 98 ankiet przeprowadzonych wśród przedsiębiorstw z branży TSL w I i II kwartale 2013 r. w języku polskim. Wnioski wynikające z przeprowadzonych badań mogą stanowić cenne źródło dla władz samorządowych projektujących i wdrażających strategie rozwoju innowacyjności na poziomie regionalnym.
The purpose of this article is to confront the theoretical model of Rogers and business practice on the example of the logistics companies operating in Lower Silesia. Conclusions presented in this report were drawn from a survey of 98 companies in the branch of logistics. Survey took part in 2013 in the Polish language. Conclusions from the studies can be a valuable source for local authorities, to design and implement strategies for the development of innovation at regional level.

Research related to the degree of implementation of risk management, and identification of interference affecting the implementation of the various logistics processes occurring in these companies. The aim of the study was to obtain information how often each fault occurs in the logistics process and what causes the effect. The article presents the results for the following logistic processes: warehousing, packaging management and transport.

The author points to the essence and importance of ecologistics in enterprises and supply chains in the context of the growing environmental crisis. Based on the assumption that bottom-up initiatives of individual enterprises, which have their source in the implementation of corporate social responsibility, as well as in striving to improve competitiveness are able to realistically and faster than system projects affect the elimination of the greatest threats to the natural environment, the author presents solutions in the field of ecologistics, which can be applied in any enterprise regardless of its status. The purpose of the discussion undertaken in the paper is to present the author's model of the level of development of ecologistics and the system of evaluation of activities in this field in the enterprise and the supply chain.

The concept of green logistics meets the expectations of various groups of stakeholders who, being aware of the negative impact of logistics processes on the natural environment, encourage enterprises to start implementing environmentally friendly solutions, thus ensuring the economic efficiency of these processes. The implementation of green solutions takes place in four stages and their advancement increases at each stage. The highest stages require cooperation with other enterprises. The article deals with the subject of undertaking this kind of cooperation by small and medium-sized enterprises in a supply chain. The aim is to identify which chain participants most often establish cooperation in the area of green logistics with these companies in Poland. It was found that the most intense cooperation takes place with a supply chain leader and suppliers. At the highest level of advancement a horizontal cooperation with competitors is also established.
Koncepcja zielonej logistyki wychodzi naprzeciw oczekiwaniom różnych grup interesariuszy, którzy mając świadomość negatywnego wpływu procesów logistycznych na środowisko naturalne, oddziałują na przedsiębiorstwa tak, aby zaczęły one wdrażać rozwiązania przyjazne środowisku, zapewniając jednak efektywność ekonomiczną tych procesów Wdrażanie zielonych rozwiązań następuje w czterech etapach, na każdym z nich rośnie stopień ich zaawansowania. Etapy najwyższe wymagają podjęcia współpracy z innymi przedsiębiorstwami. W artykule poruszono tematykę podejmowania takiej współpracy przez małe i średnie przedsiębiorstwa w łańcuchu dostaw. Celem było rozpoznanie, z którymi uczestnikami łańcucha przedsiębiorstwa te najczęściej nawiązują współpracę w zakresie zielonej logistyki w Polsce. Ustalono, że najintensywniejsza współpraca zachodzi z liderem łańcucha oraz z dostawcami, a na najwyższym stopniu zaawansowania nawiązywana jest także współpraca horyzontalna z konkurentami.

The paper offers a solution to the problem of material flow allocation within a virtual enterprise by using artificial intelligence methods. The research is based on the use of fuzzy relations when planning for optimal transportation modes to deliver components for manufactured products. The Fuzzy Logic Toolbox is used to determine the optimal route for transportation of components for manufactured products. The methods offered have been exemplified in the present research. The authors have built a simulation model for component transportation and delivery for manufactured products using the Simulink graphical environment for building models.

Background: One of the development strategies uses R&D activity as the main source of innovation, which is often carried out in cooperation with other units, but in particular in the supply chain, and therefore applies to cooperation between enterprises and their customers and suppliers. The aim of the study was to identify the variable determinants of the impact of the character of relationships among enterprises and their suppliers and customers on their innovative performance, within regional industrial systems and to define the constraints for a model regional structure of innovation network tailored to the needs of Poland and its regions. Methods: 167 enterprises belonging to the transport sector and operating in the area of Eastern Poland took part. In order to determine the impact of relationships with suppliers and customers on innovation activity, models based on probability analysis - probit models - were used. Results: It can be clearly stated that the cooperation of industrial enterprises in the transport sector with customers and suppliers activates innovation activity and its specified attributes. However, the probability varies depending on the test variable adopted. Conclusions: The cooperation with suppliers and customers is the cognitive aspect in the development of innovation activity in industrial enterprises representing the transport-related sector. Such cooperation has a stimulating effect on expenditures on innovation activity and on the implementation of innovative solutions in the field of technological innovation (products and processes).
Wstęp: Jedna ze strategii rozwoju wykorzystuje działalność B+R, jako główne źródło innowacji, która często realizowana jest we współpracy z innymi jednostkami, w szczególności jednak w łańcuchach dostaw, a zatem dotyczy współpracy przedsiębiorstw z ich odbiorcami i dostawcami. Głównym celem pracy było określeniu wpływu kooperacji o charakterze innowacyjnym na aktywność innowacyjną przedsiębiorstw przemysłowych sektora transportowego w Polsce Wschodniej. Metody: Przeprowadzono badanie ankietowe dotyczącym wpływu powiązań z dostawcami i odbiorcami na innowacyjność przedsiębiorstw przemysłowych sektora transportowego w Polsce Wschodniej wśród 167 jednostek należących do tego sektora, funkcjonujących na obszarze Polski Wschodniej. W celu określenia oddziaływania wpływu powiązań z dostawcami i odbiorcami na aktywność innowacyjną innowacyjną przedsiębiorstw posłużono się modelami opartymi na analizie prawdopodobieństwa - modelami probitowymi. Wyniki: Na podstawie przeprowadzonego badania można jednoznacznie stwierdzić, iż kooperacja przedsiębiorstw przemysłowych sektora transportowego z odbiorcami i dostawcami ma aktywizujący wpływ na wyszczególnione atrybuty innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw. Prawdopodobieństwo jednak waha się w zależności od przyjętej do badania zmiennej. Wnioski: Kooperacja z dostawcami i odbiorcami jest istotna w kształtowaniu aktywności procesów innowacyjnych w przedsiębiorstwach przemysłowych sektora transportowego oraz ma charakter stymulujący na ponoszenie nakładów na działalność innowacyjną w różnych aspektach oraz implementację innowacyjnych rozwiązań z zakresu innowacji technologicznych (produktowych i procesowych).

The economy is constantly changing and therefore companies look for ways to cut the costs of their current business activities. Lowering the costs of logistics, especially costs of transport, is essential for many companies. To achieve this aim they must have innovative knowledge concerning logistics management. Publication present T-Scale platform which conception can leads to reduce cost of transport. There were described platform functionality as well as benefits to the companies as a resulting of using T-Scale application.

Opis:

Purpose. Digitalization has contributed to the dynamic development of both the private and professional lives of many people. The form of physical and virtual tools has brought huge benefits but also there have been some negative effects of transferring everyday affairs to virtual space. The aim of the article is to try to identify the structures of digitalization in the Polish TFL sector and to present the advantages, disadvantages, development opportunities and threats arising from the use of modern electronic infrastructure in the activities of TFL enterprises. Methodology. The study was carried out using the desk research method and in-depth interview. Using the first research technique an outline of the discussion was created and the structure of the vertical division of digitalization was identified. In-depth interviews with dozens of people performing various functions in the TFL sector allowed to increase the thematic scope with empirical data which allowed to characterize the horizontal structure. The results were condensed in the form of a SWOT analysis. Findings. The research confirmed the possibility of a two-structure approach to the digitalization of the TFL sector enterprises and that digitalization can have both positive and  negative impact on the activities of those enterprises.

Opis:

W artykule zawarte są treści dające się sprowadzić do trzech tez, traktujących o: uczestnikach rynku transportowego, tzn. głównie o małych i średnich przedsiębiorstwach (firmach) i zachowaniu ich na nim; zakresie usług transportowych innych niż przewóz rzeczy oraz o zmianach zachodzących w usługach transportowo-spedycyjnych. Z treści artykułu wynika, że zwiększenie zakresu usług transportowych spowodowało powstanie licznych małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw (MiŚP) specjalizujących się w realizacji zadań cząstkowych w układach transportowych. Natomiast w wyniku zjawiska integracji realizacji usług cząstkowych powstają zestawy usług stanowiące zintegrowaną usługę logistyczną. Takie postępowanie jest wynikiem dążenia do optymalizacji przedsięwzięć w całym łańcuchu (kanale) transportowym. Ponadto w artykule wskazano, że istnieje potrzeba, a wręcz konieczność doskonalenia i dokonywania permanentnych zmian w rodzajach i formach oferowanych usług, a także poszerzania ich zakresu w celu uzyskania konkurencyjności MiŚP na rynku usług transportowych. Zatem dalej w treści artykułu uzasadnia się, iż najnowsze i najczęstsze tendencje funkcjonowania MiŚP transportowych w łańcuchu (kanale) przewozowym, to ich współpraca z dużymi międzynarodowymi firmami w ramach tworzonych grup kapitałowych. Artykuł kończą zasadne i stosowne wnioski oraz uogólnienia.
The article contains content that can be included in three theses describing the participants of the transport market, namely mainly about small and medium enterprises (companies) and their behaviour on it; the scope of transport services other than transport of goods and changes in transport and forwarding services. The article shows that the increase in the scope of transport services has resulted in the creation of a number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in in the implementation of partial tasks in transport systems. As a result of the phenomenon of integration of partial services implementation, sets of services are created which create an integrated logistics service. Such a procedure is a result of striving for optimization of undertakings in the whole transport chain (channel). Furthermore, in order to achieve the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the transport services market, the article highlights the need for, and even the need for, improvement and making permanent changes in kinds, forms, and manners of still offered services and in their scope. The article also justifies that the latest and most frequent trends in the functioning of small and medium-sized transport enterprises in the transport chain (transport channel), concern cooperation with large international companies within the established capital groups. The article ends with justified and appropriate conclusions and generalisations.

It is proposed the formation of priority factors to optimize and intensify the operation of poultry farms on the basis of the creation of a single information and logistics center, which will create a functional relationship between the organizational and economic resources, marketing strategy and the efficiency of logistics operations that affect the competitiveness of the poultry farms.
Предложено формирование приоритетных факторов оптимизации и интенсификации функционирования птицеводческих предприятий на основе создания единого информационно-логистического центра, которыеобеспечат функциональную зависимость между организационнокономическими резервами, маркетинговой стратегией и эффективностью логистической деятельности, что в свою очередь, даст возможность повысить конкурентоспособность птицеводческих предприятий.
