Cel. Celem opracowania czynimy przegląd stanowisk pedeutologicznych wobec zmian w kulturze edukacji przyszłych pedagogów. Materiały i metody. Rozpoznawaniu problemu poznania służy metoda studyjna piśmiennictwa i analiza pozyskanych stamtąd materiałów. Za istotne wsparcie przyjmujemy wyniki obserwacji uczestniczących – longitudinalnie – z trzech, organizacyjnie, szczebli edukacji przyszłych pedagogów. Wyniki.
Aim. The purpose of the study is to review pedeutological positions against changes in the education culture of future educators. Materials and methods. The study method of writing and analysis of the materials obtained from there is used to identify the problem of cognition. We take as important support the results of observations of participating – longitudinally – from three, organizationally, levels of education of future educators. Results. The result of the tasks undertaken is the arrangement (as in the middle titles) of three issues solved issues without avoiding the diffi culties of their lapidary but at the same time reasonable characterization. The diffi culties, when viewed systemically, concern all the components of the overall approach to specifi city the three types of rationale for changes in the academic culture of educators’ education. Conclusion. Therefore, in order to respond adequately to the rapidly changing needs, I encourage a community of understanding of the issue and, the Community too, to discuss optimally formed projects for improvements not only of thematic thinking but and in the aftermath attempts to modernise the activities in the practice of higher education institutions. Which requires both the renovation of ideas and the reform of their implementations.

Throughout the years. researchers searched for the definition of a good teacher. This article offers to learn from model educators, fictional and historical, how to define values, perception and practices which characterize good teachers. Four fictional teachers were chosen based on two characteristics: First, author’s descriptions that underline their good qualities as a person and as a teacher. Second, remarks from their  students’ and/or students’ parents or guardians, stating their acknowledgment of the teachers’ special qualities. and their gratitude for the learning experience they shared. A qualitative narrative analysis of these teachers – ‘Jane Eyre’, ‘Ann of Green Gables’ and his sequel ‘Anne from Avonlea”, ‘Up the down Staircase’ and ‘Goodbye Mr. Chips’ – defined five major characteristics which represent the exceptional teacher: holistic perception of the student, identifying and addressing students’ unique needs, emphasis on student-teacher relationship, creative teaching, a sense of mission and an inspiring personality. Examining the work of exceptional educators such as Ann Sullivan (Helen Keler’s tutor). Janusz Korczak, and Haime Escelante, reveals common themes which corresponds with fictional model teachers characteristics. Qualitative interviews with 14 Israeli rural high school teachers (7 homeroom educators and 7 subject teachers) emphasized similar characteristics of their role perceptions and practices. The key to higher achievements, educational and academic alike, lies in the hands of the teachers. If these traits characterize the ‘good teacher’ we should consider merging then into teachers’ preparatory and in-work professional training, as well as teachers’ evaluation processes. Let us learn from good examples how to become ‘good teachers’.

The following text combines the main points and conclusions established during implementations of the two interconnected, international research projects. The first of the projects, named “TEACH”, was conducted between 2004 and 2008. Its main goal was to create a curriculum and educational model for adult educators on a national and European scale. The second project, named “QF2Teach”, was conducted between 2009 and 2011. Its main goal was to form a unified European model involving the key competences of adult educators that combined with European Qualification Framework would identify their professional qualifications more specifically.

This paper gains a deeper understanding of the professional role identities of vocational teacher educators (VTEs) when compared with mainstream teacher educators (MTEs) in Malta. It is framed using identity theory from the structural symbolic interactionism perspective (Burke and Stets 2009). Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, adopting thematic analysis. Findings show that VTEs and MTEs underpin their teaching differently, influenced by the perceptions they have about their professional role identities. There is no “one size fits all” solution for each country, yet this study contributes to a field with a limited research base and offers new insights to identity theory.

Opis:
The rapid integration of technology in EFL learning and teaching requires competent EFL teachers to use Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) in their classes. Hence, the role of CALL teacher education in preparing competent EFL teachers is significant. However, conducting CALL teacher education is not without challenges. Given the importance of examining these challenges, the purpose of the current study was to investigate Iranian EFL teacher educators’ voice about the challenges of conducting CALL teacher education programs. To that end, eight Iranian EFL teacher educators’ biographical narratives were analyzed to obtain challenges concerning CALL teacher education. The thematic analysis of the narratives, based on the principles of ethnography semantics, indicated that challenges such as inertia, ignorance of training CALL educators, insufficient time to address CALL compared to other topics, insufficient infrastructure, insufficient standards, and lack of established methodology to administrate CALL teacher education were among the main obstacles of conducting CALL teacher education in the Iranian context. Moreover, the findings revealed that lack of EFL teachers’ motivation to participate in such programs, insufficient CALL infrastructure in schools and institutes, and EFL teachers’ inertia were other challenges in CALL teacher education. The findings suggest that the stability of CALL can be reached by removing the challenges of CALL teacher education if policy-makers address issues such as the required budgets, CALL infrastructures, and teacher motivation in CALL teacher education.

Within society there are many agents of political socialization. These agents compete and vie for the attention of young people. Parents, churches, peers, the news media and the entertainment media present young people with severely conflicting ideas about government and politics. But we must be careful not to assume young people are passive recipients of political socialization. We must also consider them as active participants in the process Sorting out the relative influences of these various agents is a task which has been pursued by social scientists for more than a generation.A world of socio-politically relevant entertainment media content and celebrity political activists with some clout is most certainly part of the context in which teaching is enacted. Students must be shown how to think critically about the often subtle content in the media. And so, rather than attempting to make another contribution to this sorting out of influences, this paper examines some recent evidence for the power of pop culture in general and celebrities in particular to influence the political beliefs of young people. Then it examines these findings in light of their potential impact on teachers, administrators, scholars, and activists engaged in school reform.

Opis:
The present article shows the main features of the educator's Christian attitude. The reader's attention is drawn in it to two aspects of that attitude: the one is concerned with the features of the educator's very person; the other one with the educational relation between the educator and the pupil. The first part of the article points to the theological elements in the educator's attitude. Christ as the Master and Teacher should be the model to be followed by a Christian educator. The educator should treat his profession as a vocation. Hence in choosing it the role of freedom and responsibility is emphasized. The attitude of freedom and responsibility is especially characteristic of the educator's Christian attitude. Training for this profession must be versatile and consciention. Such training must concern both the psychological and spiritual sphere. It must be integral and continual formation which should result in achieving a mature personality and a mature religiousness. In order to achieve such maturity the educator must be guided by ideological principles which are the following: Christocentrism, theocentric personalism, moralism, and Christian humanism. The other aspect of the educator is his relation to the pupil. The attitude of love as the main principle should accompany the educator's fulfilling his educational tasks. The teacher shows his love towards his pupil by showing respect to his dignity. Recognition of his subjectivity and dignity is also expressed in respecting the right to form his conscience. Fulfilling the functions of teaching and educating is most efficient through influencing the pupil through the educator's own person, the condition for exerting a positive influence being the educator's congruent attitude. This means congruence of what he teaches with his attitudes and convictions, which can arouse the feeling of confidence and admiration in the pupils.

Maria Montessori – Italian physician, education system creator and Montessori pedagogy based on the needs of the child. Transcendental biography of Janusz Korczak – doctor, pedagogue, writer, journalist, visionary. Biographies contain different spaces of transgressive activities: personal, professional, social, creative, literary. They concern the concept of education, methods of pedagogical work with the child. The accomplishments of outstanding pedagogues include immutable values.
Transgresje to czynności innowacyjne i twórcze. Pozwalają człowiekowi wychodzić poza granice dotychczasowego funkcjonowania, a więc zdobywać nowe obszary działania lub tworzyć nowe wartości. Motywacją specyficzną dla transgresji jest motywacja hubrystyczna. Artykuł analizuje doświadczenia biograficzne wybitnych pedagogów – Marii Montessori i Janusza Korczaka. Maria Montessori to włoska lekarka, twórczyni systemu wychowania i pedagogiki Montessori, opartej na potrzebach dziecka. Transgresyjna biografia Janusza Korczaka dotyczy lekarza, pedagoga, pisarza, publicysty, wizjonera. Biografie zawierają różne przestrzenie działań transgresyjnych: osobistych, zawodowych, społecznych, twórczych, literackich. Odnoszą się one koncepcji wychowania, metod pracy pedagogicznej z dzieckiem. Biografie ukazują dokonania wybitnych pedagogów zawierające nieprzemijające wartości.

The paper presents reflections rising from a study on adult learning professions in Poland. Changes in the socio-political and legal context created phenomena that have occurred in the adult education systems, mechanisms and approaches. The article focuses on the impact of those processes on a specific professional group – adult educators. Because of the increasing importance of life long learning and the promising vision of a knowledge society, new initiatives in education open challenging possibilities for human development.Based on interviews with practitioners the article describes the professional situation of adult educators: training, development, awareness, values, priorities and practice. There  is a new trend noticeable in these interviews – the emergence of a new kind of educator. The specific working style of this new group (operating like a closed caste) with a specific language and communication style, value system, ethics and critical skills resulted in the creation of the new culture of life long learning. The culture of adult educators has developed skills of survival in fragmented reality of Polish educational policy, a chaotic legal frame and the strong pressure of labour market.

Active professionalism is a modern notion in the discussion on teacher professionalism, which imposes on teachers the need to research the educational context in which they work and engage in their own professional development. Teachers are expected to inquire into their practice and reflect on their own experience, to actively direct their professional learning and deliberately go beyond their current abilities. The paper presents research conducted among 14 language teacher educators with the use of semi-structured interviews together with a study of their mind-maps and scientific and didactic publications. The target group was selected by snowball sampling. The author describes the research findings in which she finds two strategies of active learning performed by the teacher educators (remedial strategy and exploratory strategy). The first aims at improving the learning outcomes, and the latter focuses on self-improvement.

Work, given its many benefits, is one of the most important human activities. This is why efforts are made to enable persons deprived of their liberty to take up a job or to continue working while remaining in isolation. Nevertheless, when arranging effective measures of influence related to the employment of the convicted persons, it is useful to know their opinions on the matter. A one-sided image of the phenomenon can be distorted, therefore it was decided to find out the opinions of penitentiary educators and their charges on the performance of work by persons deprived of liberty. The research conducted in late 2018 and early 2019 used the method of a diagnostic survey. The tools used were original questionnaires: for prisoners (N=396) and for educators employed while serving a sentence of imprisonment (N=326). The statistical analyses carried out revealed many statistically significant differences between the opinions of the compared groups of respondents, especially related to: the motives and effects of the performance of work by persons deprived of liberty and their commitment to it.

Opis:
The article presents results of research conducted with the participation of professionally active school educators, working in primary and lower secondary schools in the province of Silesia. The research model assumes that development support concerns the following question about relationships: “who provides support?”, “who is supported?”, “what is the purpose of the support?”, “when?”, “how?” and “what is the result?” A “collective case study” qualitative method was employed in the form of the narrative interview. The research focused on educational experience of school educators in the process of supporting gifted students.

Opis:
The article deals with using game mechanisms (gamification) to increase students' motivation and involvement in remote educational activities. Distance learning has become the dominant form of learning at various levels of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. It is very likely that also in the future, remote courses will constitute a considerable part of the educational offer of universities as well as other educational institutions. Along with the popularization and mass implementation of distance learning, the role of educators and the importance of their digital competences increased. In a relatively short time, teachers and educators had to adapt the course content and materials to the needs and technical possibilities of distance learning. One of the greatest challenges was maintaining the participants' involvement and motivation in remote classes, supported by gamification. This article aims to explain the concept of gamification and discuss game mechanisms along with their possible applications in distance education. The author discusses the effectiveness of gamification in light of selected psychological theories in the context of distance learning and its technological conditions. The article provides examples of selected applications and platforms that may help gamify remote classes at the higher education level.

Opis:
Badania pokazują dość pozytywny związek studentów z wielokulturowym wymiarem filozofii wychowania i etyki wychowania obu pedagogów w stosunku do dzieci różnych narodowości. Autorzy postulują rozwój edukacji międzykulturowej zarówno w Czechach, jak i w Europie i na świecie w oparciu o myśli pedagogów nie tylko tych przywoływanych w tekście, ale i innych, np. Janusza Korczaka.
