W artykule przestawiono istotę i znaczenie zielonych kompetencji pracowników w przedsiębiorstwach w kontekście zrównoważonego rozwoju. Dokonano przeglądu definicyjnego i znaczeniowego pojęć związanych z zielonymi miejscami pracy wyróżniając istotne kategorie zawodów. Zaprezentowano klasyfikację branżową zielonych umiejętności, a także przeanalizowano dane zastane odnoszące się do zapotrzebowania na zielone miejsca pracy w krajach Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. We wnioskach wskazano na najistotniejsze kompetencje w odniesieniu do zrównoważonego rozwoju i wskazano, iż zielone miejsca pracy będą wymagały połączenia umiejętności miękkich i technicznych, a także kompetencji przekrojowych pracowników przedsiębiorstw.
The paper outlines the essence and importance of green competencies of employees in companies in the context of sustainable development. The definition and meaning of terms related to green jobs were reviewed, distinguishing important categories of occupations. An industry classification of green skills was presented, and foundational data relating to the demand for green jobs in Central and Eastern European countries was analyzed. The conclusions point to the most relevant competencies concerning sustainability and indicate that green jobs will require a combination of soft and technical skills and cross-cutting competencies of company employees.

W opracowaniu przedstawiono rozważania związane z koncepcją i zastosowaniem marketingu kompetencji. Celem głównym opracowania jest znalezienie odpowiedzi na pytanie o zasadność wyodrębnienia marketingu kompetencji. Celem szczegółowym jest ocena działań marketingowych podejmowanych przez pracowników oferujących kompetencje w ujęciu instytucjonalnym i jednostkowym. W opracowaniu wykorzystano część wyników dwuetapowych badań, szczególnie zaś wyniki badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego na próbie 438 jednostek. Badana próba obejmowała cztery grupy jednostek: ekspertów, marketingowców, przedsiębiorców i studentów. Badania zrealizowano w dwóch wariantach, A i B. Wariant A dotyczył oceny stosowania działań marketingowych w organizacjach oferujących kompetencje pracowników jako produkty. Wariant B obejmował taką samą ocenę osób prywatnie oferujących własne kompetencje. Badania zrealizowano w pierwszym kwartale 2017 roku.
The paper presents considerations associated with the concept of marketing competence. The main objective of the study is to find an answer to the question about the legitimacy of a new category of systems marketing - marketing competence. The specific objective is to assess the marketing activities undertaken by operators offering competence in the labour market in institutional and unconsolidated terms. The study used a part of the results of two-step research, especially the results of a survey conducted on a sample of 438 individuals. The study sample consisted of four groups of individuals: experts, marketers, entrepreneurs, and students. The research was carried out in two variants (A and B). The first (A) concerned the assessment of the use of marketing activities in organisations (businesses) that offer competence in the labour market as products. The second concerned the assessment but the same individuals offering their own competence in the labour market. The research was carried out in the first quarter of 2017.
В разработке представили рассуждения, связанные с концепцией и применением маркетинга концепции. Основная цель разработки – найти ответ на вопрос целесообразности выделения маркетинга компетенции. Главная цель – оценить маркетинговые действия, предпринимаемые работниками, предлагающими компетенции, в институциональном и индивидуальном выражении. В статье использовали часть результатов двухэтапного изучения, в особенности же результаты опроса, проведенного на выборке 438 лиц. Обследуемая выборка охватывала собой четыре группы лиц: экспертов, маркетологов, предпринимателей и студентов. Обследования провели в двух вариантах, А и Б. Вариант А касался оценки применения маркетинговых действий в организациях, предлагающих конпетенции работников в качестве продуктов. Вариант Б охватывал такую же оценку лиц, предлагающих собственные помпетенции частным образом. Обследование провели в первом квартале 2017 г.

Cel badań. Celem badań było ustalenie wpływu odejmowanych przez nauczyciela aktywności zawodowych na tworzenie wizerunku jego osoby przez ucznia i studenta. Materiał i metody. Badaniami objęto uczniów szkół gimnazjalnych i ponadgimnazjalnych oraz studentów kierunku wychowanie fizyczne. Wykorzystaną metodą był sondaż diagnostyczny, a narzędziem kwestionariusz ankiety. Analizie poddano odpowiedzi uzyskane od 1276 osób (K = 674, M = 602). Wyniki. Badania pozwoliły ustalić, że pozytywnie postrzegany nauczyciel, to taki, który: 1) potrafi zachęcić do aktywności fizycznej, 2) umie zbudować pozytywne relacje z uczniami oraz 3) prowadzi interesujące zajęcia. Odnotowano liczne różnice w częstości wskazywania aktywności zawodowych przez kobiety i mężczyzn na trzech analizowanych poziomach edukacji oraz nieliczne w ramach danego poziomu według płci. Wnioski. Wyniki dostarczają zarówno obecnym, jak i przyszłym nauczycielom wychowania fizycznego ważnych informacji pozwalających na modyfikację aktywności zawodowej w celu podniesienia swojego prestiżu i ukształtowania pozytywnego wizerunku wśród uczniów.
Background. Physical education teachers’ professional activities influence students’ attitudes towards physical activity. The aim of the study was to determine their impact on the teacher’s image as perceived by students. Material and methods. The research included lower- and upper-secondary students, as well as university students of physical education. The diagnostic poll method and a questionnaire were applied. Responses provided by 1276 individuals (F = 674; M = 602) were analysed. Results. The analysis revealed that teachers perceived in a positive manner: 1) can encourage students to take up physical activity, 2) can create positive relations with students, and 3) conduct interesting classes. There occurred a lot of differences in the frequency of indicating professional activities by women and men on the three analysed levels of education and few differences within a given level according to sex. Conclusions. The results provide present and future teachers with significant information that will enable them to modify their professional activity in order to increase their prestige and create a positive image among their students.

The concept of education for sustainable development (ESD) competencies is seen as an essential landmark for orienting teaching and learning for SD (sustainable development). ESD competence encompasses key competencies that are expected to enable active, reflective and co-operative learning toward SD. In the text, it is also described why the concept of ESD competencies is an innovation in the field of higher education (HE). A competence-based didactical approach can be a valid alternative to the notion of a curriculum as a plan of studies, providing an innovative way of conceiving and organizing the curricular structure and objectives or discipline contents to prepare students to be competent, autonomous, critical and assertive citizenships. Competence-oriented teaching and learning approach is focusing on students gaining the “concepts and abilities for social action”. Our set of 12 ESD competencies embodies the concepts that will enable students to understand and resolve complex sustainability problems by equipping them with the ability to become change agents. The educational approach reinforces the competencies emphasizes pedagogy in terms of the teaching and learning methodologies and strategies that support the attainment of ESD competencies.

Today companies are integrating ideas of sustainability in their core functions to have business success. With see changes in the country’s economy new models of business is coming up. Companies are setting up that are more resilient and thrives in the long term. In a true sense a sustainable business model is a more accepted model in today’s business place that generates profit while improving societal and environmental conditions. This has given room for many new opportunities which in turn has given way to the fresh graduates to be more productive and contribute for the development of the organization as well as the nation. To meet the goals of sustainability and sustainable business there are many challenges the management graduates particularly needs to face. The development of a country is directly connected with quality education. The education system in India has to undergo a lot of reformation to produce competent students to match the requirements to drive sustainable development. Existing courses in Management Education needs to be more realistic to realize the needs of sustainability. Currently the success factor of Universities and Colleges is to produce graduates not just with the degree but in addition to it to produce competent prospective candidates for employment or entrepreneurs who can conduct themselves productively and efficiently in the dynamic economy and bring social change. This paper reports a literature-based analysis of the coverage of the competencies required for considering sustainability aspects for management graduates. The study aims to specify the required competencies for management students to become managers with regards to sustainability, and to provide guidance on how to close the competency gap.

Purpose – the purpose of the article is to diagnose determinants of the effective development of entrepreneurial competence in members of the MCSU academic community and to develop a concept of a tool used for that purpose.Design/Methodology/Approach – Polish and foreign literature was researched to find answers to the following questions:1) What requirements are imposed on universities with regard to the development of entrepreneurial competence among students?2) How should the effective education of adults be guaranteed?3) What are the methodological bases for the realization of focus group interviews?After that, focus research was carried out among 43 students from 11 faculties of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin to learn their opinions about:• The way the essence of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviour are perceived,• conditions created by the University for entrepreneurial education and for the development of entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviours,• factors that stimulate or block their entrepreneurship,• preferred methods of development of entrepreneurial competences. The obtained results of literature studies and focus interviews were used in order to develop the concept of an Entrepreneurship Academy or a complex program for the development of entrepreneurship in the academic community at the University.Findings – entrepreneurial competences are among the ones of key importance for the successful functioning of people in the society as well as in their personal and professional lives. There is an urgent need to develop them and universities play an important role in satisfying it. To guarantee the best effectiveness of didactic processes focusing on the development of the knowledge of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviour to members of the academic community, education curriculums should be developed considering the needs and preferences of the interested parties. Education methods based on learning in action and through experience should also be used.Practical implications – the developed concept of the MCSU Entrepreneurship Academy is comprehensive and flexible. It is possible to be implemented in any school of higher education in full or in the form of its selected modules depending on the identified needs of the interested parties and financial resources available.Original value – schools of higher education have varied curriculums related to entrepreneurship, however, the MCSU Entrepreneurship Academy is an end-to-end tool based on the holistic approach and involving the cooperation of entities representing all components of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the socioeconomic vicinity.Article type – research paper, case study.

The study is a part of the research on the couching method as a tool for adult personality development related to the managerial potential development. The aim was to find out differences between subjectively and objectively measured levels of managerial potential in a research sample and to compare differences in their positions as managers and non-managers. The study was based on the conception of managerial potential development. The article gives results of the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) where the managerial potential was measured in seven competencies. The results were compared with the research sample’s self-assessment in a questionnaire of own design. The finding was that managers achieved better results in objectively measured competencies than in subjectively measured competencies. They scored highest in the objectively measured managerial competence Inquisitive and lowest in the objectively measured managerial competence Adjustment. Candidates achieved better results in objectively measured competencies than in subjectively measured competencies. They scored highest in the objectively measured managerial competence Interpersonal Sensitivity and lowest in the objectively measured managerial competence Adjustment. In subjective self-assessment, managers achieved higher mean scores than candidates in the competence Ambition. Managers, again, scored higher than candidates in subjective assessment of the competence Inquisitive. In subjective assessment, candidates scored highest in the managerial competence Interpersonal Sensitivity and lowest in the managerial competence Learning Approach. There were no statistically significant differences between managers and candidates for managerial positions in the managerial potential.

The article shows the problem of the importance of emotions as one of the soft competencies. The author bases her reflectionson the thesis that an individual understanding of the emotions experienced by oneself and others may influencethe internal (spiritual) integration of a person as well as the sense of acceptance and belonging to the community. Child’s emotions, due to their primarily pre-interpre-tation of reality, also affect other developmental processes such as perception, memory and attention.The author of the article focuses on the importance of the emotional competence of the child expres-sed in a verbal way. She notes that skilfully used rich dictionary of concepts related to emotions can influencethe subsequent proper functioning in community. Also, citing research, the author states that early emotional education influencesthe development of qualities such as sensitivity, ability to empathize and openness to another person. The combination of language education with emotional, moral and social education becomes the starting point for axiolinguistic education.

This paper discusses the key competencies in the 21st century in the context of a transition to a new humanistic paradigm of education as well as the results of the PISA 2012 study “Creative Problem Solving.” Contradictions between traditional skills and 21st century competencies of a school graduate are analyzed. The article also discusses contradictions between social needs of a person with a highly developed intellectual, spiritual and moral potential, and an insufficient development of theoretical and methodological bases of the student’s key com- petence development, as well as between the traditional methods of computer science teaching and the necessity to solve problems during the educational process supported by the use of ICT. The results of the application of ICT teaching methods based on the principles of humane pedagogy are presented, and their effectiveness is confirmed.

 RE teachers are required to demonstrate the professional, theological, psychological and pedagogical knowledge and skills delineated in professional and institutional standards to facilitate the process of learning and upbringing. True respect for the pupils does not only call RE teacher for the adaptation of the teaching method, but also demands to develop many skills and undertake the emotional, intellectual, personal and religious formation. Handlungskompetenzen (the a ctionrelated competencies) seems to be very important for every teacher, but especially for RE teacher and catechist, because they are influenced by teacher’s beliefs and values. These competencies are the complex abilities needed to enact spontaneously specific knowledge in learning situation. This paper highlights the importance of the teachers’ actions or reactions in critical and/or challenging teaching/learning situations and ability to explain a topic in the response to pupils’ difficulty and questions. Equipping RE teachers and catechists to meet the needs of diverse pupils means also to help them in planning the educational actions and critical evaluation of didactical processes. Consequently, RE teacher or catechist needs to be not only a teacher, but also pedagogue and faith witness. Therefore, he/she should be characterized by a willingness to lifelong learning, enthusiasm for self-study and broad mindedness.
 RE teachers are required to demonstrate the professional, theological, psychological and pedagogical knowledge and skills delineated in professional and institutional standards to facilitate the process of learning and upbringing. True respect for the pupils does not only call RE teacher for the adaptation of the teaching method, but also demands to develop many skills and undertake the emotional, intellectual, personal and religious formation. Handlungskompetenzen (the a ctionrelated competencies) seems to be very important for every teacher, but especially for RE teacher and catechist, because they are influenced by teacher’s beliefs and values. These competencies are the complex abilities needed to enact spontaneously specific knowledge in learning situation. Background: In the Polish healthcare system, there is a high demand for highly qualified medical staff who can be considered talents. Therefore, the use of appropriate talent management practices by managers of healthcare entities is becoming increasingly important. Purpose: This study examines the respondents' perception of the current use of selected talent management practices in healthcare entities in Poland. It was also important to investigate the relationship between talent management practices and employee retention and check whether the assessments of individual talent management practices differ depending on the type of healthcare entity and the education of managers. Because the spectrum of talent management processes is wide, in this article, we pay attention to talent acquisition and identification, competence development and employee appraisal. Design/methodology/approach: A questionnaire for managers of Polish healthcare entities was used to collect the data. 120 respondents took part in the research. A five-point Likert scale was adopted to assess individual talent management practices. In order to examine the properties of the measurement scale and the items that make it up, a reliability analysis was performed. Data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics, Spearman's rho correlation analysis, Kruskal-Wallis, and Mann-Whitney U tests. Findings: The study showed that the talent management level in Poland's public healthcare entities is not sufficiently advanced. The study's results also revealed the positive impact of talent management practices on employee retention. The analysis shows that the type of medical entity differentiates the level of development of employees' professional competencies and evaluation. No differences in talent management level were observed depending on the managers' education. Originality/value: In practice, this study highlights problematic areas of talent management practices in healthcare entities. The study contributes to the new knowledge on the perception of managers of healthcare entities regarding the use of talent management practices in the Polish health sector.
