The article surveys recent scholarship on the use of creation imagery in the Gospel of John, with the aim of presenting a rather exhaustive register of possible references. Both the obvious and the less clear-cut allusions to Gen 1–3 are discussed, the main focus being to accumulate and assess the evidence (for or against) all the apparent references to creation imagery. Included in this examination are several unconvincing and even far-fetched proposals advanced by some modern scholars, in order to give the fullest possible picture of the current discourse on these issues. After discussing the creation theme in the Prologue (1:1–18), the article explores the presence of creation imagery in the Book of Signs (1:19–12:50) and the Book of Glory (13:1–21:25).

Opis:

Purpose: The article is devoted to critical reflection on the commonly used value chain model taking the perspective of contemporary role of client and technological advancement in multifaceted organizational development and management. It attempts to outline and thoroughly describe the new perspective of value creation and value management taking into account digital technologies and social media platforms. Methodology: Deductive approach have been implemented, secondary data and sources have been used. Finally, the model of Value chain 2.0 was presented, conceptualized and described from both theoretical and practical sides. Design: The first part of the article is focused on the explanation of present potential of client for any enterprise. The second part attempts to explain the role of virtualization processes, exemplified by social media, semantic web approach or virtual organization in the shift of value creation. Finally, the concept of value chain 2.0 is proposed and discussed. Findings: There is a rapid transformation of value creation where linearity, control and inter organizational resources are gradually being replaced by network value creation where clients’ activities play pivotal role in organization performance and where value is defined in much broader way. Practical implications: The conclusions have profound meaning for companies and organizations striving for engagement of clients, partners and employees in value creation processes. The paper presents both theoretical foundations along with practical implications for value co-creation. Originality: The thorough and detailed analysis and interpretation of multifaceted shift and transformation of value creation and value management is presented. The article describes the ways the social media, digital technologies and contemporary marketing influence the way organization creates value.

Dynamic development of the medical services sector in Central and Eastern Europe (CCE) creates demand for analysis and evaluation of medical organisations operating in this sector. This issue deserves attention both from the theoretical and practical point of view. The purpose of the article is to identify and describe forms of systemic products and network structures in healthcare networks in the context of value creation, and consequently to develop theoretical-descriptive models of value creation on the medical market. The research was conducted in 2014 by means of an exploratory, case research method. Semi-structured interviews in the form of a standard questionnaire with the manager of a professional services unit and the analysis of secondary data allowed for collection of the research data.

The paper discusses the idea of quantum creation of the universe. After a few remarks concerning inflationary models and Tryon's idea of the world's origin as a fluctuation in the preexisting vacuum, the Hartle-Hawking quantum creation model is presented. Its structure and assumptions are discussed, and interpretative difficulties related to the mechanism of 'quantum creation' pointed out. W obliczu kryzysu ekologicznego John D. Zizioulas proponuje własną wizję relacji człowieka do stworzenia. Najpierw przedstawia antropologię teologiczną, na podstawie której buduje model człowieka jako kapłana stworzenia. Dokonuje reinterpretacji pierwotnego upadku człowieka i ukazuje, że otrzymał on pęd do absolutnej wolności nie dla siebie samego, lecz dla całego stworzenia. Nie ma ono w sobie naturalnych środków przetrwania i zostawione samo sobie będzie poddane śmierci. Jedyną drogą ratunku może być komunia stworzenia z wiecznym Bogiem, co wymaga jednak transcendencji poza ograniczenia stworzenia. Bycie osobą wymaga od człowieka, by obejmował w sobie całość stworzenia. Pęd ku wolności implikuje włączenie w jego działanie całego świata, a jeśli wszystko, co ucieleśnia się w nim, ma przetrwać, musi zostać odniesione ku Bogu. W przeciwnym przypadku osoba ludzka pozostanie tragiczna i niespełniona, a w końcu stworzenie stanie się przedmiotem naturalnej śmiertelności. Idea człowieka, jako kapłana stworzenia, nadaje ekologii wymiaru kulturowego w najgłębszym znaczeniu, który oznacza wzniesienie świata nawet ku wieczności, a sens ekologii ulega głębokiej przemianie i oznacza respektowanie natury nie z powodu obawy przed jej zniszczeniem, lecz ze względu na miłość do niej. Kryzys ekologiczny jest kryzysem kultury i związany jest z zagubieniem sakralności natury. Tylko podejście chrześcijańskie może zapewnić stworzeniu przetrwanie poprzez włączenie go dzięki człowiekowi – jako kapłanowi stworzenia – w komunię z Bogiem.
The ecological crisis is a huge challenge for humanity because it threatens everyone and the whole world. Theology should develop an appropriate theological model that will make a constructive contribution to the solution of this problem. There are many statements on this subject today, but the most systematic and in-depth vision is brought by the concept of the Eastern theologian John D. Zizioulas. The article is to present first the theological vision of man in the context of ecological threat and the concept of man as a priest of creation. It also requires a different interpretation of the original fall of man. How can the realization of the model of man as the priest of creation liberate creation from its limitations and lead it to survival? What are the implications of man's priestly function toward creation? The ecological crisis is a cultural crisis connected with the loss of the sacredness of nature. Christianity treats the world as sacred because it persists in a dialectical relation to God, but the rupture of communion with God leads to its annihilation. If we want to save the world and not return to paganism, the Christian approach is the only way to solve the ecological crisis and ensure the survival of creation by including it in the eternal life of God.

Koncepcja ta koncentruje się na projektowaniu i rozwijaniu platform uczestnictwa klientów, umożliwiających firmom korzystanie z zasobów technologicznych oraz zasobów ludzkich poprzez wykorzystanie zaangażowania indywidualnych jednostek i społeczności. Opracowanie ma charakter teoretyczno-koncepcyjny, a wykorzystaną metodą badawczą jest metodą krytycznego przeglądu literatury.
The growing importance of ICT sheds new light on the value co-creation with customers, but also on the perception of the current business models, which in recent years has been revolutionized by network models. The aim of the article is to discuss the cognitively interesting and still poorly researched phenomenon of the value co-creation by co-creating experiences in the light of network business models, which are built around technology platforms. This concept focuses on designing and developing he customer participation platforms that enable companies to use technological and human resources by leveraging the involvement of individuals and communities. The study is conceptual and the research method used in the article is the method of critical literature review.

The paper aims to explore consumer co-creation experience of new product development processes. Specifically, it is an attempt to determine the level of consumer engagement in an online co-creation process, identifying motives and reasons for the participation in new product development as well as understanding the types of Internet-based co-creation that are mostly preferred by consumers. The study used an online questionnaire and the CAWI method. The results of the research showed that consumers were interested in being involved in the co-creation of new product development. However, some consumers clearly expressed their reservations regarding participation because they felt lacking required knowledge.

Opis:

Interpretation of the Japanese concept of ensuring safety requires referring to the category of the universal values. Sandel, who has been lately considered a proponent of the world of the universal values suggests that normative values and beliefs should be treated as relevant criteria of social order. Lack of actions in accordance with these values and beliefs or insufficiency of such actions disturbs, in accordance to Sandel, social order and destroys the democracy. Creation of the system of normative values and beliefs constitutes for this reason a process that is crucial to creating an individual identity of an entity that is aware of the socially and culturally universal criteria of the evaluation of the actions of a human being. This is why the category of values concerns usually social determinants of behaviour of an individual from which others expect maintaining a certain behavioural pattern, regardless of whether this pattern was assimilated and accepted by the individual or not. According to such an interpretation, values shall usually be transferred as part of culture and from generation to generation as an instrument enabling proper social and cultural adjustment.

Opis:

Are Augustine’s views of creation still relevant today, after the scientific revolution, and especially post-Darwin? Surely, much of his interpretation cannot withstand the onslaught of modernity and its concomitant increase in scientific knowledge. Perhaps not, but we can still learn from Augustine. It is a modern myth that the scientific revolution alone began—or forced—the church to come up with interpretations that were amenable to the science of their time. Augustine is a prime example of this “wrestling with the Divine”. However, we cannot go to Augustine with the hopes of settling the debate on origins and scriptural interpretation. Augustine erred mightily when he sought to use the bible as a proverbial science textbook. In this essay, we will encounter a presentation of Augustine’s theolog(ies) of creation through examining his views of “seminal seeds”, simultaneous creation, and his interpretive acrobatics with regard to Genesis 1–3. Whereas his initial persuasion on this matter was sound, Augustine nevertheless contradicted it in his own writings, to our corporate detriment.

The question about man, his origin, structure, place, and role in the world, relation to others and his ultimate goal, belongs to fundamental categories. In his pursuits, man constantly tries to find the right answer to this important question. The basis of this analysis forms the structure of man resulting from the act of creation as described in the Bible. In the Old Testament we have two texts about the proctology of man: Yahwistic (Gen 2, 4b –24) and Elohistic (Gen 1, 26–28). Both Angelo Scola and Luis F. Ladaria see the ultimate structural view of humankind in the person of Jesus Christ. That is why the Old Testament texts concerning creation are fully implemented in the mystery of Incarnation and Redemption. The name “a human” itself there is a claim about the greatness of his nature (cataphasis). Observation and experience indicate also his limitations (apophasis). Therefore, it can be stated that in the human nature there must be integrity (henozis) in this respect constituting the basis of his whole humanity. Biblical texts indicate that man is aware of his dependence on God, simultaneously however, he makes an attempt of self – determination which is a kind of self–creation. The relationship with God has its source in the external experience (man listens to God, expresses his needs and hides from Him) and, at the same time, goes beyond human rationality and volition. It is an invitation to the trinitarian communion of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The community of the Holy Trinity is at the same time the community of man. The creatio of man as male and female highlights one more important structural and subjective element, that is, a relationship with others which constitutes the foundation for a community of people. Jesus Christ is the way towards this union, as its cause, model and aim. In the mystery of His Person we discover the “image and likeness”, because He is the personification of full and perfect humanity. Therefore, the whole Christian spirituality must be Christocentric and at the same time Christoformic. The attempts to define man in his essence play a crucial role in the present world affected by subjectivity, individualism, hedonism and horisontalism.

In this article, we approach, in the footsteps of Maurice Blanchot's works, the intimacy of the bond which links the word to the thing, bond inscribed in a double relation, reality / thought and possibility / impossibility. There is no question of assessing their adequacy, but of digging into the intimacy of what exists between them. The between interrogates both the (im)possible of the real to exist and of the thought to designate. His/her writing illustrates this impossibility of the word to translate a real which is, itself, impossible to become true. Does it mean that the real only exists as a transformed reality, in the same way that the word would only exist as an impossible designation? The deformation of thought through the word and of reality through the thing might be connected to a movement which we interrogate beginning with the question of the (im)possible deformation of real through writing.

Stwórcą świata jest Trójjedyny Bóg – transcendentny i immanentny jednocześnie wobec świata. W kontekście dialogu między teologią i naukami przyrodniczymi pojawiają się nowe wyzwania i perspektywy. Nauka ukazuje wszechświat ewoluujący na wszystkich poziomach, a najważniejszą racją konstytutywną dla teologii jest relacja nieustannego stwarzania. Odbicie Komunii Boga w stworzeniu i jego komunijna sakramentalność jest fundamentem trynitarno-komunijnej teologii stworzenia. Teologia wyróżnia trzy modele interpretujące działanie Boga w świecie: przez bezpośrednie interwencje, przez ustanowiony w nim ład i przez aktywną obecność. Ostatni model ukazuje, że stworzenie dokonało się nie tyle przez wszechmoc i mądrość, co przez miłość Boga. Istotnym elementem rozumienia trynitarnego dzieła stworzenia jest jego aspekt chrystologiczny, a perspektywa przebóstwienia wszechświata otwiera ostateczne wymiary tej wizji.
Creator of the world is the Triune God – the transcendent and immanent at the same time. Science reveals the universe evolving at all levels and the most important costitutive reason for theology is the relation of constant creation. Reflection of God's Communion in creation and communional sacramentality of created world are the foundation of Trynitarian-communional theology of creation. Theology distinguishes three models of interpreting the action of God in the world: through direct intervention, through the established order and through the active presence. The last model shows that the creation was accomplished not so much through the God's omnipotence and wisdom, but by the God's love. An important element of the Trinitarian understanding of creation is its Christological aspect and the theiosis of the universe opens the prospect of the final dimensions of this vision.

Opis:

The objectives of this research are to know and to analyze corporate communication strategy, customer value creation, creation of corporate reputation and the influence of corporate communication strategy and customer value creation toward creation of corporate reputation. This research is descriptive and verificative with descriptive survey and explanatory with stratified random sampling. The amount of sample is 55 respondents. Data collection techniques are library data, observation, and questioner. Analysis data used is path analysis. Research results show that the corporate communication strategy and customer value creation influence creation of reputation Len Industri Group is 53.7% simultaneously. The influence of corporate communication strategy to the creation of reputation is at 47.2% partially while customer value creation does not significantly influence the creation of reputation is 5.1%.

Among all pictures present in Albert Skira’s series « Les sentiers de la création », the reframed ones are worth considering. A personal eye appears through the details that become their main subject. What thoughts on detail do the reframed pictures express? They show a particular way of borrowing and quoting other people’s work. The way of inserting those pictures in the text are various and sometimes, the detail seems to be diverted from its original function or meaning. How are other people’s works quoted in those books? What is at stake in pictorial quotation when, being part of an author’s reflection on his own creation, the picture passes, through reframing, from an imaginative world to another. This paper will focus on the books containing “reframed details” that is to say those written by Pierre Alechinsky, Yves Bonnefoy, Michel Butor, Octavio Paz, Gaëtan Picon, Elsa Triolet and Claude Simon.

The notion of resurrection has been strangely absent from much popular, as well as academic, Christian thinking in the west. For most, ‘going to heaven’ is the ultimate aim, rather than the biblical ‘new heavens and new earth’, promises rooted in the vision of God as good creator and wise judge. Paul and John expound a vision of new creation, starting with Jesus’ own resurrection. The church’s mission is to model and implement this new creation in the present, not least in working for justice and beauty, ahead of the final renewal which remains God’s own work.

Opis:

Co-creation of public services implies new roles and responsibilities that, at least potentially, change the balance of control. In this way, it aligns closely with democratic renewal. This paper draws on the outcomes of a collaborative innovation project Co-creation of Service Innovation in Europe (CoSIE) funded under Horizon 2020. CoSIE built upon the idea that public sector innovations can be best achieved by creating collaborative partnerships between service providers (public sector agencies, third sector organisations, private companies) and citizens who receive services directly or indirectly. CoSIE was implemented through ten real-life innovation pilots in different public services across Europe. Results showed how co-creative methods could promote democratic dimensions, increasing the civic participation of marginalised and often voiceless population groups (residents of depleted urban neighbourhoods, disabled people in remote rural areas, citizens adrift from the world of work, and non-EU migrants). Some CoSIE pilots were more successful than others in extending impact beyond their immediate localities and service contexts. The paper highlights common factors that helped share learning and evolve project innovations into the ‘modus operandi’ of institutions and societies.

This article is entitled: Creation and Integral Ecology. A biblical-theological perspective. The concept of integral ecology has been emerging in scientific discussion for some years. It is also addressed in Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato si (2015). The biblical theology of creation can be one of the sources for integral ecology. From a biblical perspective, integral ecology concerns human beings and creation. The integral ecologist asks about human dignity before birth and about social injustice. From the perspective of biblical theology, Jesus Christ plays an important role. He is the beginning of a new creation. In eschatology, he leads the whole creation to perfection. Christians should work in favour of ecology because the world was created by God and has been renewed by Jesus Christ. Furthermore, the church should be a community of brotherly love. Everyone should have equal access to the goods of nature. Biblical truth about creation can be an important source for environmental activities.
Encyklika papieża Franciszka Laudato sì wywołała niemałe poruszenie w środowisku naukowym. Jednocześnie, w środowisku teologów i filozofów katolickich większego znaczenia nabrały pytania o związek wiary i ekologii. Wobec panującej, często uproszczonej wersji ekologii, nierzadko powiązanej z areligijnymi i lewicowymi nurtami społecznymi Franciszek proponuje spojrzenie na ekologię adekwatne do otaczającej współczesnego człowieka rzeczywistości. Akcent pada na integralność ekologii. Integralność ta polega przede wszystkim na uznaniu, że celem działań ekologicznych jest nie tylko świat roślin czy zwierząt, ale również człowiek. W prezentowanym artykule podejmuje się refleksję nad biblijną koncepcją stworzenia, która dla chrześcijanina stanowi istotne źródło realizowania postaw proekologicznych. Biblia, jako święta księga chrześcijan wskazuje jasno, że pierwszym powodem, dla którego osoba religijna powinna szanować stworzenie jest szacunek dla jego Autora, czyli Stwórcy. Jednocześnie w kluczu ekologicznym, czyli zgodnym z naturalnym stanem rzeczy, autorzy biblijny postrzegają sporne dzisiaj kwestie, jak np. małżeństwo mężczyzny i kobiety, szacunek dla nienarodzonych i chorych, opiekę nad osobami wykluczonymi ze społeczeństwa. W odróżnieniu od wąsko pojętej ekologii tradycyjnej, znaczonej specyficznym pesymizmem i napięciem, ekologia integralna wiąże się z szansą radykalnej odnowy stworzenia, która dokona się przez Jezusa Chrystusa. Wrażliwość ekologiczna jest współcześnie szeroko akceptowana i rozwijana. Podkreślanie integralności ekologii jest właściwą drogą do usuwania sprzeczności, które istnieją w przestrzeni refleksji i praktyki ekologicznej. Jednocześnie jest oczywiste, że „nawrócenie ekologiczne” jest dla chrześcijanina tożsame z nawróceniem do Boga Stwóry i do Jezusa Chrystusa.

Opis:

Christianity is sometimes considered as guilty of the ecological miscare throughout history. The words ‘economy’, ‘ecology’ and ‘ecumenism’ come from the same word (oikos – house) and remain very close in their respective developments. But Welt-ethos must be preceded by a Welt-logos and by an Um-welt-logos, that means that Nature has her own voice in our relationship with the Planet. This is a counter-intuitive principle in the history of Christianity, whose position has been sometimes ambiguous. An historical approach can help us to understand better these abstract ideas as incarnated in the present moment. This ecumenical and ecological spirituality is lived not only by monks and friars, but also by all believers in Christ, and the theology of creation is an ecumenical meeting-point between all Christians. In this study we will follow here a biblical, historical, ecumenical and comparative methodology, for understanding how was lived this issue in the Christianity, and how must be lived in the future.
Chrześcijaństwo obciąża się nieraz winą za powstałe na przestrzeni wieków zaniedbania w dziedzinie ekologii. Słowa „ekonomia”, „ekologia” i „ekumenizm” pochodzą od tego samego słowa (oikos – dom) i pozostają bardzo bliskie w swym semantycznym rozwoju. Ale Welt-ethos musi być poprzedzony przez Welt-logos i Um-welt-logos, co oznacza, że natura winna określać naszą relację z planetą. Zasada ta kontrastuje nieco z historią chrześcijaństwa, którego stanowisko w tym zakresie bywało niejednoznaczne. Historyczne spojrzenie może pomóc lepiej zrozumieć te abstrakcyjne idee jako obecne w aktualnym czasie. Ekumeniczna i ekologiczna duchowość jest praktykowana nie tylko przez mnichów i zakonników, ale przez wszystkich wierzących w Chrystusa, a teologia stworzenia stała się ekumenicznym punktem spotkania wszystkich chrześcijan. Niniejsze studium, opierając się na biblijnej, historycznej, ekumenicznej i porównawczej metodologii, ma na celu ukazanie sposobu traktowania tej kwestii w chrześcijaństwie w przeszłości i jak należy odnosić się do niej w przyszłości.

In the article there was represented the example of a project concerning dehydration of agricultural lands located in Rzozów in the area of Skawina commune, administrative district of Kraków in Małopolska, around 16 km long distant to the west – south from the city centre of Kraków. The analised land is being under the disadvantageous hydro and air conditions, what results in the signifi cant decrease of grounds quality and plants crops as the consequence. In order to improve the quality of grounds and dehydrate the excess of water, there was designed a dehydration system consisted of open drainage ditches and underground drainage network. The aim of those operations is to improve the ground structure quality and it’s access to air, thus to increase the plants crops from the presented area.There were lead numerous calculations such as hydrological calculations, hydraulic calculations in order to define type and height of drainage ditches consolidation and the height of collector mouths over the ditch bottom, calculations of drains spacing and the excavation capacity.As the final effect, it was assumed to excavate two drainage ditches, one on the northern side and one on the southern side of the area. The network of drains and collector connected to the ditches is to drain off the spare water from the considered land.

There is some debate among interpreters of Aquinas as to whether he attributed a doctrine of creation to Plato and Aristotle. Mark Johnson has noted many texts where Aquinas does appear to attribute to Plato and Aristotle an understanding of creation. Yet, an initial glance at Summa Theologiae I.44.2 would suggest he did not. This paper first examines what various interpreters of Aquinas have had to say on the matter. Secondly, it argues that Summa Theologiae I.44.2, taken in context with the proceeding article and De Potentia III.5, need not be read as denying such a doctrine to Plato and Aristotle. Thirdly, this paper concludes that because Plato and Aristotle do not actually possess doctrines of creation, they cannot be the chief sources for Aquinas’ own thought on this matter. Instead, to attribute creation to Plato and Aristotle, Aquinas interprets them through Avicenna. Thus, Avicenna is the chief source for Aquinas’ understanding of creation.

Opis:

In the paper I present the Bnei Baruch’s interpretation of the biblical story of creation (from the Book of Genesis), especially of the category of the “days of creation”. This doctrine is a small part of the whole system of Bnei Baruch “Kabbalah”. The commentary of the creation account is radically different from the classical theological interpretation. Bnei Baruch’s optics is the example of an nonliteral exegesis, but even in this one can clearly see its exceptionality. The key-categories around which the whole interpretation is focused are the ideas – in some way philosophical and psychological – of the “will to receive” (egoism) and the “will to bestow” (altruism). The “days of creation” characterize here the process of human correction, they are the stages of the tikkun, where the final stage is the so-called equivalence of form with the Creator. According to Bnei Baruch, the biblical words do not describe the physical world but deal with the “upper” reality – the spirituality. On the strength of this statement it is said that the language the whole Bible is written in is the “language of the branches” (while the spiritual realm is the root).

Opis:

This article focuses on the issue of innovation within enterprise strategies, with a particular emphasis on the value-creation process and the multidimensional nature of innovation. To analyze this, the focal point was the overall structure of business operations, with a particular emphasis on the involvement of employees. It was also noted that economic entities are subject to generic, market, and HR conditions. The main objective of this article is to highlight the relationships between innovation within enterprises and the conditions under which they operate. This includes the challenges faced by employees in generating creative and innovative ideas and implementing new solutions. Two research hypotheses were put forward in this article. The first hypothesis, H1, assumes that a company’s overall profile is a crucial determinant in creating value through innovation within organizations. The second hypothesis, H2, assumes that market requirements in terms of creating customer value will drive employees to implement innovation defined in the company’s strategies. The importance of open innovation in business strategic decisions was also highlighted. Using statistical methods, these hypotheses were verified through a survey conducted in various enterprises.

Aim/purpose – More and more universities invest in business incubators. However, different aspects of their creation are not extensively described in the literature. The main purpose of this paper is to identify the possibility of using design thinking (DT) in the creation of academic incubators. Design/methodology/approach – A case study is used in this research. The approach of Lodz Technical University to the creation of a business incubator by using the design thinking method is presented. Findings – It is significant that all the participants thought design thinking was a useful methodology for the creation of academic incubators. Furthermore, the participants had a sense of social contribution to the local people, the university, and communities. It was very important to use their knowledge, experience, skills, and needs in the field of collaboration with incubators. The common works provided an opportunity to share their ideas with other teammates from different perspectives. The advantages of using DT are very meaningful for participants, allowing them to keep in mind why they are doing this and for whom. The DT process can be very difficult to describe, but its use by the creation of a business incubator will yield many benefits and new initiatives. DT is a great solution to this problem because it relates programme activities to their effect, it helps keep stakeholders focused on achieving outcomes, while it remains flexible and open to finding the best means to enact a unique story of change. Research implications/limitations – The limitations of the described study are observer bias and difficulty of replication. The effect of this process was not implemented because there was insufficient funding and the decisions regarding the implementation of this idea have changed. Originality/value/contribution – This paper is a one-of-a-kind description of the implementation of design thinking methodology in the creation of an academic incubator.

The paper explores the motif of memory loss and its relationship with creation and oblivion in Michael Ende’s esoteric novel The Neverending Story. The paper also furnishes an analysis of the connections between the ontology of imagination and memory in terms of a ‘cosmogonic’ and an ‘intimistic’ approach to the world of myth and imagination, which can be identified with a veritable land of memory, an abode of remembrance and transformation.

Opis:

God had congratulated himself for creating the universe and humankind (Gen 1,31), a “very good” creation brought to nought by human sin. However, human nature still sighs and longs for the goodness and image of God within. God’s creation yearns to be created anew. Paul’s understanding of “new creation” and “new man” looks to the wise plan of God negated by sin. For Paul, the new era, in which the new creation reaches its aim in perfection, is the time of the parousia, the new and future coming of Jesus Christ. The Apostle of the Gentiles understood “kainē ktisis” in a soterio-cosmological sense, as the event consequent upon the redemption brought about by Christ Jesus that will be fulfilled in the parousia. New creation, new mankind in a new covenant takes place in communion with the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus in Baptism. The fundamental condition by which the revelation of the mystery of God takes place is the new covenant fulfilled in the blood of Christ and its effects: the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, upon those who believe, as even the prophets had foretold. One can observe the development of the Pauline thought in his Letters: from a theological perspective and its legitimacy in the Major Letters, to the practical consequences in the daily life of the Christian assemblies in the Deutero-Pauline Letters, that emerge from the application of these theological arguments.

The knowledge-based economy analyzes economic organization and development when the creation, distribution and use of knowledge become decisive factors. To become a successful knowledge economies, countries must act simultaneously on their education base, their innovation systems and their information and communication technology infrastructure, while also building a high-quality eco-nomic and institutional regime. The institutions for higher education are the main figures for the successful transition to a knowledge based economy and society. Their cooperation activities with the neighboring countries and the countries within their wider vicinity are an important priority for breaking the university isolation from what happens in the civil society, as well as the other structural problems, like the outdated curricula and skills of teachers. This paper focuses on international scientific networks as an example of tool created in order to stimulate the use of new knowledge. The main objective of the paper is to identify: 1) the knowledge creation and transfer processes in ISC 2) influence of that processes on the participants of the ISC. The methodology utilized in this study is qualitative and exploratory. Results of research shows the process of knowledge creation and transfer on the example of NetAware Intensive Programme and the project evaluation results.

Opis:

Value creation is indispensable in enhancing agribusiness performance. However, there is a need to identify priority areas to unlock industry potential. The study sought to highlight particular areas within the  Zimbabwean pork industry where value creation could offer the industry advantage. A survey of 24 pork butchers, 6 pork processors and 166 pig farmers from Mashonaland Central Province was utilised in the study. Descriptive statistics, correlation, ANOVA and multiple regression were used to analyse the data. The results highlighted that the industry regarded value creation through advantage in the acquisition of inputs, goods and services, production/processing, and logistics, which consequently makes those key target areas. Furthermore, the created value (profit/cost ratio) was influenced by the category of agribusiness, distance to markets, business practice and socio-economic dynamics of the business decision-makers. In conclusion, production and processing, as well as inbound logistics, were identified to be less effective in value creation. However, increasing transportation advantage will likely improve value. The study recommends that the pork industry leverage on production/processing, inbound logistics and transportation. Policy implications relate to the creation of a conducive environment in input procurement and transportation. The study adds insights for business strategy and policy formulation, aiding in enhancing turnover and strategic positioning

Though the issue of knowledge management is a hot subject of interest in nowadays market companies, integrated solutions fit to the specific needs of research institutes still require more attention. This paper documents a part of the research activities performed at National Institute of Telecommunications, related to development of research institute knowledge management support system. The ideas lying in the background of the system come from the recent theories of knowledge creation and creativity support and from experience with everyday practice of knowledge management in market companies. Main focus is put here on the issue of creation of a research topics ontology that is meant to be a semantic backbone of the system. Three-stage approach is proposed, aiming at the construction of ontologies for different levels of organizational hierarchy, from individual researcher, through group or unit, up to the whole institute. Created ontologies are linked to knowledge resources and support diverse activities performed at those levels.

Drawing on the processual perspective in management this article explores the process of the institutionalization of new practice in the context of value co-creation. The Service-Dominant logic perspective places the notion of value creation in the interaction between an organization and its customers. Therefore the contemporary research stream shows a bias towards the notion of a customer as a crucial contributor and beneficiary in the value creation process [Vargo and Lusch 2006a, 2008]. Following recent calls for research with a holistic approach it may be assumed that there is an underdeveloped processual perspective on value co-creation that offers a cognitive framework of routines and activities performed on an everyday basis within the Giddensian structuration theory. Using the Giddensian theory value co-creation can be perceived as a platform for the adoption of new practices. The purpose of the article is to determine the role of value co-creation processes in the context of initiating and institutionalizing of new practice in an organization. A comparative case study was carried out which illustrates the thesis that spontaneous actions form an important category of initiating change within the everyday use of value co-creation.

Ultimately, we are trying to take up the challenge of dealing responsibly with nature as a unique value today and with the right to continue in the future.

Biblijna teologia stworzenia może być jednym ze źródeł ekologii integralnej. Z perspektywy biblijnej ekologia integralna odnosi się do osoby ludzkiej i do świata stworzonego. Ekolog integralny pyta o godność osoby ludzkiej przed narodzeniem oraz o niesprawiedliwość społeczną. Z perspektywy teologii biblijnej bardzo ważną rolę odgrywa osoba Jezusa Chrystusa. On jest początkiem nowego stworzenia. W czasie eschatologicznym doprowadza całe stworzenie do pełni. Chrześcijanin powinien działać na rzecz ekologii, ponieważ świat jest stworzony przez Boga, został stworzony na nowo w Chrystusie Jezusie, a Kościół powinien być wspólnotą braterskiej miłości. Wszyscy powinni mieć sprawiedliwy dostęp do dóbr natury. Biblijna prawda o stworzeniu może być ważnym źródłem działań ekologicznych.
Presented article is entitled: Biblical theology of creation as a source of integral ecology. The concept of integral ecology several years appears in the scientific discussion. Also appears in the Encyclical Letter of Pope Francis Laudato sì (2015). The biblical theology of creation can be one from sources of integral ecology. From a biblical perspective the integral ecology refers to human person and to the created world. The ecologist integral asks for the dignity of the human person before birth and for social injustice. From the perspective of biblical theology a very important role plays the person of Jesus Christ. He is the beginning of a new creation. In eschatological time he brings the whole creation to the fullness. A Christian should work towards ecology because the world is created by God, was created anewin Christ Jesus, and the Church should be a community of brotherly love. Everyone should have fair access to the goods of nature. Biblical truth about the creation can be an importantsource of ecological activities.

Objectives: The article addresses the question about whether IT technologies and the ongoing globalisation are likely to impact the money creation mechanism. Research Design & Methods: For this purpose, the article reviews the experiences of free banking, the endeavours to promote the bitcoin as a new currency, the discussions on digital currencies issued by central banks, the experiences with Eurodollar market, and the emergence of imbalances in the TARGET2 (the Eurozone payment system). Findings: The analysis leads to two general findings. The first one is that cryptocurrencies are unlikely to replace the existing monetary system. The second one is that the increasing globalisation creates the need for the most important central banks to expand their role as international lenders of last resort. Implication / Recommendations: One implication of the main findings of the paper is that cryptocurrencies will have to go through a long evolution before they might have a chance to become an integral part of the monetary systems instead of being purely speculative assets. The other implication is that the experiences with the TARGET2 system revealed the ECB’s large potential to prevent sudden halts in international trade. Contribution / Value Added: The article’s added value with regard to the existing literature is highlighting that the main reason why the deposit money created by commercial banks (making the bulk of money supply today) will not be replaced by cryptocurrencies stems mainly from the fact that the latter cannot be allocated in an economically rational way. The other contribution is underscoring that the TARGET2 imbalances reflected the positive role played by the ECB in alleviating the consequences of the global banking crisis of 2007-2009 and the Eurozone debt crisis of 2010-2012.

The aim of the paper is to present and analyze the doctrine of continuous creation typical for theism. Continuous creation is conceived of as divine causal action consisting in God’s bringing about the existence of any being at every moment of its existence. Such a definition of divine action, as N. Malebranche argued, leads to occasionalism – that is, to the view that God is the only cause in the world. In the first part of the paper, an attempt is made to demonstrate that Malebranche’s conclusion is valid and that two alternative views, weak and strong concurrentism, are not tenable. In the second part of the article, the idea of continuous creation is discussed, which can be formulated from the point of view of probabilistic theism.

Purpose: This research focuses on firm resources and capabilities used for value co-creation in service innovation. Specifically, I investigated how service innovation is created in an in-ternational engineering company. The aim of this article is to reveal what resources and capa-bilities are employed by a service provider for value co-creation in the innovation project of engineering service and how they vary in particular stages of this project. Methodology: The research is based on qualitative methodology by a multi-case study strate-gy. Focus group discussion with senior managers and semi-structured interviews with project managers of the studied international engineering company were used as concrete data gather-ing methods. Data analysis was conducted using the content analysis method. Findings: The research revealed eight value co-creation activities accomplished by the engi-neering company and client during the engineering service innovation project. The activities are as follows: co-identification of the client’s problem, co-evaluation of ideas, co-defining of client’s requirements, co-analysis of environment, co-design, co-testing, and co-adoption, co-production, and co-activities after the launch. These activities are diffused in different project stages and demand a range of resources: expert knowledge, diagnostic, communication skills, trust, experience, technological equipment, human resources. Moreover, they require diverse capabilities: relational, innovative, analytical, negotiation, knowledge absorptive, planning, organizational flexibility, and cross-cultural. The intensity and variety of using the mentioned resources and capabilities differ relying on the value co-creation activity. Expert knowledge, communication skills as resources, and relational and innovative capabilities were empha-sized by the researchers most often. We hope these findings will represent a step toward a more coherent resource-based view (RBV) and service innovation theories. Implications: The study involved only one Lithuanian engineering company, so the research context may influence the findings. Another limitation is related to the small number of cases and research participants. Originality: Unlike previous studies that revealed the importance of single resources and ca-pabilities for service innovation, this study determined the range of resources and capabilities employed in different activities of engineering service innovation project stages, especially in the value co-creation activities performed by the engineering company and clients. Moreover, research also identified how resources and capabilities vary at different stages of these pro-jects.

Leibniz's idea of creation is best epitomized by a note written by him on the margin of his work entitled 'Dialogus'. The note reads:'When God thinks things through and calculates, the world is made'. Simple calculations are almost mechanical. The true mathematical thinking begins when one is confronted with a problem that has to be solved, when starting from the known mathematical structure one has to construct a new structure, to comprehend its intricacies, the ways of its functioning, and its connections with other mathematical structures. And when one successfully applies the new mathematical structure to a physical theory, the new world is made. This was Leibniz's experience when he was discovering calculus and tried to apply it to mechanical problems. Leibniz's doctrine that our world is the best of all possible words is often ridiculed, but this attitude is the result of a very superficial reading of Leibniz's texts. In fact, God's calculations to choose the best possible world are similar to solving the variational problem in mathematics. Leibniz claims that in mathematical reasoning if there is neither 'maximum' nor 'minimum' nothing can happen. Similarly, if there were no world better that other possible worlds, God's wisdom would have not been able to create anything. Some consequences of this doctrine, concerning the nature of space, time and causality, are also considered.

Opis:

Telecommunications requires multiple criteria analysis and decision support. It is shown how some basic facts from telecommunications and informational sciences can be used to formulate a rational theory of intuition, developed as a complement of multiple criteria decision support. This paper presents a method called creative space used for integrating various approaches to knowledge creation and based on SECI spiral, I5 system and rational theory of intuition. Questions of supporting new technology creation by constructing specialized creative environments similar to decision support environments are also indicated.

Opis:

The evolution-creation controversy concerns the origin of life and its main forms. In practice, however, it exists on a completely different level, a philosophical and methodological one. As a rule, proponents of both positions quarrel about whether creationism is a scientific position. Evolutionists claim that creationist conceptions are incompatible with fundamental criteria identifying science. The main criterion is the principle of naturalism: in scientific explanations we cannot resort to causes from outside the material world. The paper analyzes some arguments of both sides and supports the idea that if recognizing intelligent design is a legitimate task of many scientific enterprises then there is no good reason to exclude this possibility in biology. In the author's opinion scientists rather than philosophers of science should be engaged in the controversy.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to answer the following question: what concepts should be used to explain how marketing contributes to value creation in business-to-business (B2B) relations? Design/methodology: The method consists of: (1) using net present value (NPV) as a goal of B2B purchasing decisions and (2) analysing the supplier’s controlling system to differentiate between value drivers and value causes. Findings: A conceptual framework of B2B value creation has been proposed. NPV-related product description is the main concept in the framework. Originality/value: The study contributes to the B2B marketing theory by increasing the clarity of conceptual foundations by (1) proposing the NPV-relevant product description and (2) making a distinction between value drivers and causes of value.

Opis:

Business models from the 90s are used to transform the idea of entrepreneur in the value creation process. This paper presents a proposal to modify the concept of the business model according to A. Osterwalder and Y. Pigneur. It pointed out the need to pay attention to intangible assets while defining elements of the business model. Attention was also drawn to the appropriate integration of intangible and tangible assets, because the interaction of all elements of the business model can achieve synergistic effects that manifest themselves in gaining competitive advantage.
