Based on case studies prepared at the Harvard Business School, the article analyses the content of university courses on business history. Its aim is to answer the question whether or not business history courses are used for discussing the problems of CSR or moral dilemmas behind strategic decisions made by managers. The article argues that the chance of enhancing the understanding of social problems on the part of the managers and shaping their responsiveness to them, created by the presence of courses on history in the academic curriculum, remains, to a large extent, unrealised. Teaching materials are still influenced by the Chandlerian paradigm and thus focus on changes in organisational structures and strategies of large multinational companies. They pay little attention to the social environment of business, rarely pose questions on the motivations of human actions or value hierarchies and avoid discussions on the social consequences of management decisions.

This paper investigates how an organization tries to restore trust after an organizational-level scandal by examining the trust repair process. The study adopts a qualitative research approach to analyze the case of the scandal at Temple University’s Fox School of Business concerning the submission of false data to the ranking body. This paper shows the importance of trust between education institutions and the society and how it is difficult to rebuild it after violation. While dealing with trust rebuilding at the organizational level, we should consider not only the prior reputation of the organization, but also appropriate timing of trust repair mechanisms and number of actors involved in the trust failure situation. This paper also presents the trust rebuilding actions in a novel institutional setting, that is, in case of the business school.

Personality is one of the utmost important assets of an individual which aids in categorizing the bounds of success, happiness and achievement in our life[1]. The study explores the sensing and intuitive personality dimensions of selected business school students across Gujarat state. Further, the study explores statistical differences in terms of various demographic aspects. NERIS Type Explorer® Scale was used to check the personality type of a total of 1067 management students. 69.5 per cent (742) of the respondents have a Sensing (S) personality dimension compared to 30.5 per cent (325) Intuition (N) personality dimension as dominating type. The conclusions of this research study are also reinforced by past research work which confirms that there are noteworthy differences between Sensing (S) and Intuitive (N) personality dimensions regarding selected demographic variables.

Opis:
Return On Training is a hot topic among training professionals. The purpose of this paper is to present a stochastic simulation model developed for estimating and predicting monetary return on investment in corporate training. The article highlights new opportunities and challenges brought to the higher education institutions and business schools by internationalization and globalization. This study points out the weaknesses of the traditional criteria for measuring success and performance of education institution and offers Return On Training (ROT) as an advanced yardstick for measuring and benchmarking training programs outcomes. The research covers the key aspects of computer-based simulation modeling, underlines its advantages, proposes theoretical framework for studying ROT and finally comes up with a mathematical formula for calculating ROT that can be easily implemented as a computer software application.

Based on empirical material in the form of case studies prepared at Harvard Business School and Kozminski University, the article analyses the content of teaching materials in the field of business history. The Harvard case studies served as a model for the Polish ones. In contrast to the United States, at Kozminski University and in other Polish business schools, business history is not taught as a separate subject. The article puts forward the thesis that history education could provide an opportunity for future managers to broaden their knowledge of the social environment in which they will operate and to shape attitudes of responsibility for the social consequences of decisions made. However, this opportunity remains largely untapped in both the United States and Poland. American teaching materials are still influenced by the Chandlerian paradigm, and therefore they focus on the evolution of structures and changes in the strategy of large multinational corporations. These materials present students with role models of successful entrepreneurs and companies. Their social environment is presented in a sketchy manner, and questions about the motivations of human actions or hierarchies of values are rarely asked. The teaching materials also shy away from questions about the social consequences of managerial decisions. This is so, despite the fact that scientific publications are moving away from concentrating solely on the centre of global capitalism, the history of the largest corporations, and the treatment of the social environment as a variable on which the entrepreneur or company have no influence. Business history as a scientific discipline in Poland is still at an early stage of development. However, one can notice a gap between research and teaching similar to the one that exists in the USA: there are works critically analysing the period of transformation and showing the peripheral character of Polish capitalism as well as the social consequences of this peripheral nature that are completely ignored in teaching.

This paper presents the process of reviewing a lato sensu postgraduate course in marketing offered at a Brazilian business school. Changes were implemented to adapt the course to the job market demands. The results of the quantitative phase of the research showed that the course had many opportunities for improvement, especially regarding the course methodology. The results of the qualitative stage indicate an opportunity for improvement of the course contents by updating them and ensuring they adhere to professional practice. The redesign process of the course was based on the competency-based curriculum.

Opis:
One of the essential parts within the transition towards sustainable economies, is the way how higher education prepares its students for their future role in business. In order for them to contribute to corporate social responsibility within the enterprise context, they need specific skills and competences related to sustainable development. Derived from the societal role of business schools in preparing the future business leaders and entrepreneurs, the focus of this paper is the contribution of business schools to sustainability integration. The topic could be wider situated within the context of higher education for sustainable development, which aims at integrating competences for sustainable development into the curriculum, and integrating sustainability measures within campus operations, research and societal role. This reflective article looks at a business school context as a case for institutional efficiency measures. It describes how business schools could implement efficiency measures and apply instruments within their own context, looking at the campus as a ‘living laboratory’ for sustainability innovation. Three tools and instruments to foster sustainability integration on campus, its benefits and possible problems are described: Assessment Instrument for Sustainability in Higher Education; Ecological Footprint Analysis; and Principles for Responsible Management Education. It builds upon the data and results from several action research projects within two Belgian business schools. As a conclusion, the article reflects upon the essential characteristics of these initiatives, as a way to connect sustainability initiatives to efficiency measures. This may be an opportunity for business schools, not yet used to its full potential yet.

Istraživanja koja su potkrepljena od strane autora koji se bave problematikom inovacija u domeni uslužnih djelatnosti tek posljednjih godina bilježe značajniji udjel u odnosu na rezultate istih izvan ove domene, a o čemu svjedoče i strani i domaći izvori. Prema stavovima nekih teoretičara inovacijske studije u uslužnim djelatnostima tek su u začetku te se istodobno isprepliću, nalazeći svoje mjesto u područjima strateškog planiranja, marketinga, hotelijerstva, kvalitete usluga te primjeni digitalnih alata i poslovnih platformi kojima se olakšava poslovanje subjekata. Terminološka razgraničenja inovacija definiraju svoju primarnu ulogu u četiri temeljna područja. Ista nailaze na teorijsku i znanstvenu podršku kod grupe autora koji temeljnu ideju definiraju prema pojedinom modalitetu. Cilj istraživanja je ukazati na značenje primjene inovativnih alata u uslužnim djelatnostima temeljem praksi i iskustava na koje ukazuju dostupni sekundarni izvori. Transfer znanja i stjecanje kompetencija u konkurentnom okruženju zasigurno zahtjeva osposobljavanje u području radnointezivnih djelatnosti kao što su uslužne djelatnosti i to ne samo u području vještina, komunikacije u internoj okolini već i prilagodbe poslovnih modela tržišnim trendovima koji testiraju konkurentnost poduzeća kroz inovativnost.
Research supported by authors dealing with the issue of innovation in the field of service activities has only in recent years recorded a significant share in relation to the results of the same outside of this domain, as evidenced by both foreign and domestic sources. According to some theorists, innovation studies in service industries are still in their development phase and at the same time intertwined, finding their place in the areas of strategic planning, marketing, hospitality, service quality and application of digital tools and business platforms that facilitate business. Terminological delimitations of innovations define their primary role in four basic areas that find theoretical and scientific support in that group of authors who define the basic idea according to a particular modality. Furthermore, the aim of the research is to point out the significance of the application of innovative tools in service industries based on the practices and experiences indicated by the available secondary sources. Knowledge transfer and acquisition of competencies in a competitive environment certainly requires training in work-intensive activities such as service activities, not only in the field of skills and communication in the internal environment, but also adaptation of business models to market trends that test enterprise competitiveness through innovation.

Fokus poduzetništva prestaje biti isključivo pokretanje poslovnog pothvata. Na poduzetništvo se sve više gleda kao na kompetenciju koja je potrebna kako bi se, bez obzira koji karijerni put odabrali, mladi uspjeli nositi s promjenama i izazovima s kojima se cijeli svijet trenutno suočava. Poduzetništvo kao kompetenciju posebno treba promovirati kroz obrazovanje čija je uloga razvijanje vještina i sposobnosti nužnih za osobni i profesionalni razvoj. Upravo je zbog toga razvoj poduzetničkog obrazovanja u zadnjih dvadesetak godina jedan od glavnih ciljeva Europske unije i njezinih država članica. Razlog sve većeg interesa za poduzetničkim obrazovanjem je svijest da se poticanjem poduzetničkog razmišljanja mlade ljude usmjerava na proaktivno i odgovorno djelovanje i upravljanje vlastitim životom i profesionalnom karijerom. Poduzetničko obrazovanje omogućava pojedincima da razviju vještine koje će ih učiniti neovisnijima, asertivnijima, bolje pripremljenima na promjene i odgovore na sve izazovnije zahtjeve okruženja. Za potrebe ovoga rada istraženi su primjeri dobre prakse u Europi i u Republici Hrvatskoj na razini osnovnoškolskog, srednjoškolskog i visokoškolskog obrazovanja, a koji za cilj imaju razvoj poduzetničkih kompetencija. Komparativna analiza primjera dobre prakse poticanja poduzetničkog obrazovanja može poslužiti kao dobar temelj za unaprjeđenje već postojećih i razvoj novih programa poduzetničkog obrazovanja.
The focus of entrepreneurship ceases to be exclusively that of starting a business venture. Entrepreneurship is increasingly seen as competence that is needed to help young people, regardless of which career path they choose, in order to cope with the changes and challenges that the whole world is currently facing. Entrepreneurship as a competence should especially be promoted through education, whose role is to develop skills and abilities which are necessary for personal and professional development. That is why the development of entrepreneurship education in the last twenty years has been one of the main goals of the European Union and its Member States. The reason for the growing interest in entrepreneurship education is the awareness that by encouraging entrepreneurial thinking, young people are directed to proactive and responsible action and management of their own lives and professional careers. Entrepreneurial education enables individuals to develop skills that will make them more independent, assertive, better prepared for change, and able to respond to the increasingly challenging demands of the environment. For the purposes of this paper, examples of good practice in Europe and in the Republic of Croatia were investigated at the primary, secondary and higher education level, which aim to develop entrepreneurial competencies. A comparative analysis of examples of good practice in encouraging entrepreneurship education can serve as a good basis for improving existing and developing new entrepreneurship education programs.

Sva poduzeća krajem poslovne godine, bez obzira na veličinu, obvezna su sačiniti temeljne financijske izvještaje, Bilancu koja prezentira njihovo financijsko stanje, Račun dobiti i gubitka s prikazom rezultata poslovanja u obračunskom razdoblju i Bilješke uz financijske izvještaje kojima dopunski pojašnjavaju potanja izvješća. Srednje velika poduzeća dužna su sačiniti još i Izvještaj o novčanom toku, a velika poduzeća i Izvještaj o promjenama kapitala. Pri tome pretpostavka vremenske neograničenosti poslovanja temeljna je za pripremu financijskih izvještaja. Prema pretpostavci vremenske neograničenosti poslovanja podrazumijeva se da će poduzeće nastaviti s poslovanjem u doglednoj budućnosti bez namjere ili potrebe likvidacije, značajnog smanjenja opsega poslovanja ili traženja zaštite od vjerovnika sukadno zakonskim propisima. Tako pripremljeno izvješće, osim vlasnicima zanimljivo je radnicima kao garancija zaposlenosti, poslovnim partnerima kao garancija nastavka poslovanja, bankama kao garancija povrata kredita i investitorima kao garancija potencijalnog ulaganja. Stoga je važno objektivizirati i potvrditi je li menadžment primjenio navedenu pretpostavku vremenske neograničenosti poslovanja pri sastavljanju financijskih izvještaja. To je zadaća neovisne revizije financijskih izvještaja koja podrazumijeva i revidiranje menadžmentove procjene sposobnosti poduzeća da nastavi vremenski neograničeno poslovati. Ovo znači da će tijekom obavljanja revizije financijskih izvještaja, posebnu pozornost revizor posvetiti identifikaciji događaja koji bi mogli pobuditi značajnu sumnju u to je li menadžment proveo procjenu sposobnosti poduzeća da nastavi vremenski neograničeno poslovati i u kojoj je mjeri njegova procjena realna, odnosno utvrditi je li menadžment prepoznao događaje i okolnosti koji mogu uzrokovati dvojbu o sposobnosti da poduzeće nastavi s vremenski neograničenim poslovanjem. U tom postupku revizor će primjeniti standardne revizorske metode i analize, ali i posebne postupke cilj kojih je objektivizirati i potvrditi mogućnost poduzeća da nastavi s vremenski neograničenim poslovanjem. Ovaj je rad posvećen prikazu ciljeva revizora, njegovih postupaka u pribavljanju relevantnih dokaza temeljem kojih će zaključiti postoji li značajna neizvjesnost u vezi s događajima koji mogu utjecati na mogućnost poduzeća da nastavi vremenski neograničeno poslovati. Sukladno tome, revizor ima obvezu i odgovornost priopćiti svoje mišljenje u revizorovom izvješću, kako bi svi zainteresirani imali spoznaju o činjenici da je prezentirano financijsko izvješće sačinjeno pod pretpostavkom vremenske neograničenosti poslovanja.
All companies at the end of the business year, regardless of its size, are required to prepare basic financial statements, Balance Sheet that presents their financial position, Profit and Loss Account showing the results of operations in the accounting period and Notes to the financial statements which further clarify detailed reports. Medium-sized companies are also required to prepare a Cash Flow Statement, and large enterprises are required to prepare a Statement of Changes in Equity. The assumption of indefinite operation is fundamental for the preparation of financial statements. The assumption of indefinite operation implies that the company will continue to operate in the foreseeable future without the intention or need of liquidation, significant reduction of the scope of business or seeking protection from creditors in accordance with legal regulations. The report prepared in this way, apart from the owners, is interesting to workers as a guarantee of employment, business partners as a guarantee of business continuity, banks as a guarantee of loan repayment and investors as a guarantee of potential investment. Therefore, it is important to objectify and confirm whether the management has applied the stated assumption of indefinite operations in preparing the financial statements. This is the task of an independent audit of financial statements, which includes auditing management’s assessment of the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. This means that during the audit of financial statements, the auditor will pay special attention to identifying events that could raise significant doubt as to whether management has assessed the company’s ability to continue as a going concern and to what extent its assessment is realistic, that is, to determine whether management has identified events and circumstances that may cast doubt on the entity’s ability to continue as a going concern. In this procedure, the auditor will apply standard audit methods and analysis, but also special procedures aimed at objectifying and confirming the company’s ability to continue with indefinite operations. This paper is devoted to presenting the auditor’s objectives, his procedures in obtaining relevant evidence to determine whether there is significant uncertainty about events that may affect the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. Accordingly, the auditor has the obligation and responsibility to express his opinion in the auditor’s report, so that all interested parties have knowledge of the fact that the presented financial report was prepared under the assumption of indefinite operations.

Opis:
Migrantsko poduzetništvo u zadnjih nekoliko godina se sve češće spominje te sve više intrigira javnost čija su stajališta o tome još uvijek dosta podijeljena. Dolaskom ljudi drugih nacija mijenjaju se demografsko i gospodarsko tkivo zemlje u koju doseljavaju. Naime, useljenici često ne mogu pronaći posao, s obzirom na to da nemaju jednake prilike za to kao domaće stanovništvo te se oni u tom slučaju odlučuju upustiti u osnivanje vlastitog poduzetničkog pothvata. Osnovati vlastito poduzeće veliki je izazov i za domaće stanovništvo, a useljenici se susreću s još više dodatnih prepreka, kao što su: nepoznavanje jezika te neprihvaćanje okoline i slično. U ovom je radu riječ o najčešćim preprekama i predrasudama s kojima se useljenici susreću prilikom pokretanja posla u Republici Hrvatskoj. Nadalje, istraženi su njihovi stavovi i iskustvo s institucijama koje su ključne u njihovoj integraciji (javna uprava, državna tijela, nevladine organizacije i udruge). Naglasak je na osobnom iskustvu iseljenika prilikom pokretanja posla i poslovanja u Republici Hrvatskoj te na njihovim preporukama za unapređenje migrantskog poduzetništva s obzirom na vlastito iskustvo. U tu svrhu su provedena dva istraživanja: anketiranje poduzetnika-migranata te intervjuiranje predstavnika organizacija koje rade s migrantima i migrantskim poduzetnicima. Time je dobiven pogled i stav obje strane u vezi s migrantskim poduzetništvom u Republici Hrvatskoj, kao i preporuke za njegov razvoj.
Migrant entrepreneurship has attracted a lot of attention in recent years and has very often fascinated the public, which still has very divided opinion about it. Immigration of people from other nations primarily changes the demographic structure of the country of immigration and thus the economic structure. In fact, migrants often do not find job because they do not have the same opportunities as the local population, and in this case they decide to start their own entrepreneurial venture. Nowadays, it is a big challenge for the local population to start their own business, while immigrants face even more additional obstacles, such as lack of language skills, non-acceptance of the environment and various prejudices towards them. This paper deals with the most common obstacles and prejudices immigrants encounter when starting a business in the Republic of Croatia. Furthermore, their attitudes and experience with institutions that are crucial for their integration (public administration, state agencies and certain non-governmental organizations and associations) were explored. The focus is on the personal experience of emigrants when starting a business in the Republic of Croatia and what recommendations they can make to improve migrant entrepreneurship based on their experiences. Two surveys were conducted for this study: The first one is a survey of migrant entrepreneurs, and the second one is a survey of representatives of organizations working with migrants and migrant entrepreneurs. In this way, the views and positions of both sides on migrant entrepreneurship in the Republic of Croatia and recommendations for its development were identified.

Komuniciranje, kako u privatnom životu tako i u poslovnom okruženju, predstavlja prijenos informacija, ideja, razmišljanja ili stavova između članova ili grupa. Interna komunikacija kao jedan od alata upravljanja u pojedinoj instituciji ili poduzeću mora biti pravovremena, transparentna i razumljiva. Problem koji je potaknuo ovo istraživanje je nezadovoljavajuća interna komunikacija u odabranoj gradskoj upravi. Posljedično, razina zadovoljstva zaposlenika je niska što značajno utječe na produktivnost te ostvarenje strateških ciljeva razvoja grada. Glavni cilj istraživanja je utvrditi razinu interne komunikacije u odabranoj gradskoj upravi te predložiti preporuke za poboljšanje kako interne komunikacije tako i zadovoljstva zaposlenika. Za ostvarenje glavnog cilja istraživanja podaci su prikupljani iz sekundarnih (relevantna literatura i dokumentacija gradske uprave) i primarnih (anketiranje na populaciji zaposlenika gradske uprave, veličina uzorka je 30 [N=30] ispitanika) izvora podataka. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da zaposlenici odabrane gradske uprave internu komunikaciju vide kao veoma važnu značajku za međusobno razumijevanje, doprinosi izgradnji povjerenja u gradskoj upravi na svim razinama te ostvarivanju ciljeva same uprave a i zaposlenika. Kao prepreke i internoj komunikaciji navode nezadovoljstvo internom komunikacijom na svim razinama, upravljanjem i vođenjem promjenama u gradskoj upravi, radnim procesima, procedurama, plaćom, suradnjom s kolegama te su mišljenja da bi edukacija svih djelatnika i nadređenih o važnosti komunikacije najviše doprinijela poboljšanju interne komunikacije. Preporuke za daljnja istraživanja na predmetnu ili sličnu temu temelje se na istraživanju kako gradska uprava može doprinijeti većem životnom standardu i sigurnosti svojih građana.
Communication, both in private life and in the business environment, is the transfer of information, ideas, thoughts or attitudes between members or groups. Internal communication as one of the anagement tools in an individual institution or company must be timely, transparent and understandable. The problem that prompted this research is unsatisfactory internal communication in the selected city administration. Consequently, the level of employee satisfaction is low, which significantly affects productivity and the achievement of strategic goals of city development. The main goal of the research is to determine the level of internal communication in the selected city administration and to propose recommendations for improving both internal communication and employee satisfaction. To achieve the main goal of the research, data were collected from secondary (relevant literature and documentation of the city administration) and primary (survey of the population of city administration employees, sample size is 30 [N = 30] respondents) data sources. The results of the research show that the employees of the selected city administration see internal communication as a very important feature for mutual understanding, contributes to building trust in the city administration at all levels and achieving the goals of the administration and employees. As obstacles to internal communication, they state dissatisfaction with internal communication at all levels, change management in city administration, work processes, procedures, salary, cooperation with colleagues, and are of the opinion that educating all employees and superiors on the importance of communication would contribute to improving internal communication. Recommendations for further research on a subject or similar topic are based on research into how the city government can contribute to a higher standard of living and security of its citizens.

Tradicionalne i osnovne misije sveučilišta, nastava i istraživanje sve se više proširuju. Treća misija sveučilišta je višedimenzionalan koncept koji poprima široke razmjere na svjetskom nivou. Kao cilj rada postavlja se proučavanje osnovnih sličnosti i razlika u pristupima trećoj misiji sveučilišta kada je riječ o američkim u odnosu na europska sveučilišta. Kao polazna osnova za usporedbu uzima se činjenica da treća misija sveučilišta svoje porijeklo ima na američkom kontinentu dok se nastanak sveučilišta vezuje za Europu. Cilj rada je konkretiziran na sljedeće zadatke: ispitati utjecaj globalnih obrazovnih politika na pristupe trećoj misiji sveučilišta; ispitati razlike u načinu funkcioniranja europskih u odnosu na američka sveučilišta; objasniti obrazovne implikacije provedbe treće misije na europskim sveučilištima. Kao zaključak rada ističe se da je neophodno razumijevanje globalnih društveno-ekonomskih utjecaja na proces visokog obrazovanja kako bi se sveobuhvatnije pristupilo obrazovnim reformama i načinima njihovog sprovođenja. Također, s obzirom na sudjelovanje sve brojnijih interesnih grupa u okviru realizacije treće misije sveučilišta, neminovno je razvijanje stavova o vrijednostima i načelima treće misije kod svih onih koji su uključeni u proces visokog obrazovanja.
The traditional and basic missions of the university, teaching and research are expanding. Terminology on the third mission of the university is gaining wide scope at the global level. The aim of this paper is to study basic similarities and differences in approach to the third mission of the university by comparing American to European universities. The starting point for comparing these approaches is the fact that the third mission of the university has its origins in the American continent, while the creation of the university is linked to Europe. The aim of this paper is to specify the following tasks: to examine the impact of global education policies on approaches to the third mission of the university; to examine the differences in the way European universities operate in relation to American universities; to explain the educational implications of the implementation of the university’s third mission at European universities. In conclusion, it is necessary to understand the global socioeconomic impacts on the process of higher education in order to approach educational reforms and ways of implementing them more comprehensively. Also, given the growing number of the participating interest groups in the implementation of the third mission of the university, it is inevitable to develop attitudes about the values and principles of the third mission among all those who are involved in the process of higher education.

Svjetska je ekonomija, više nego ikada, iznimno povezana i transparentna, a putanje dobara, usluga i ljudi dostupne svakom pojedincu spojenom na internetsku mrežu. Upravo zato ostaje nejasna činjenica da se greške u ljudskim odlukama i dalje ponavljaju, kao i reakcija društva u cjelini na odluke pojedinaca. Također, državni mehanizmi za kontrolu gospodarstva i dalje nisu u mogućnosti efikasno reagirati na događaje u vrijeme kontrakcije ekonomskog obujma. Iz toga proizlazi motivacija za izradu ovog istraživanja, koja uključuje proučavanje brojnih određenih situacija u kojima je ljudska odluka, direktno ili indirektno, stvorila jedan od glavnih uzroka budućeg gospodarskog pada. Pregledom ekonomskih ciklusa i ekonomskih kriza tijekom prošlog i ovog stoljeća, uočava se stalna pojava ljudske odluke kao glavnog generatora gospodarskih tokova, bilo pozitivnih, bilo negativnih. U isto je vrijeme vidljiv i stalni obrazac ponašanja društva u raznim fazama ekonomskih ciklusa. Samim time, vrlo je bitno educirati pojedince i društvo o mogućim financijskim rezultatima njihovih kratkoročnih i dugoročnih odluka, kao i odluka koje se tiču uže ili šire zajednice. Svakako je nužno i podrobnije proučavanje društva, kao i razvoja gospodarstva, kako bi se u budućnosti moglo što efikasnije reagirati na pozitivne i negativne posljedice ekonomskih ciklusa.
The world economy is, more than ever, extremely connected and transparent, and the paths of goods, services and people are available to every individual connected to the Internet. For that reason, it remains unclear why mistakes in human decisions continue to be repeated, as well as the reaction of society as a whole about the decisions of individuals. Also, state mechanisms that control the economy are still unable to respond effectively to events at a time of economic contraction. Hence the motivation for this research, which includes a study of a number of specific situations in which human decisions, directly or indirectly, have created one of the main causes of future economic decline. A review of economic cycles and economic crises over the past and this century, shows the constant emergence of human decision as the main generator of economic flows, whether positive or negative. At the same time, a constant pattern of society’s behavior in various phases of economic cycles is visible. Therefore, it is very important to educate individuals and society about the possible financial results of their short-term and long-term decisions, as well as decisions concerning the immediate or wider community. Certainly it is necessary to study society in more detail, as well as the development of the economy, in order to be able to react in the future as efficiently as possible to the positive and negative consequences of economic cycles.

Opis:
Usljed nedovoljnog poznavanja specifičnosti kreativnih industrija, poduzetnički pothvati mladih uključenog su rizika. Iz tog razloga svrha ovog rada je bila identificirati prepreke s kojima se mladi poduzetnici susreću prilikom pokretanja poduzetničkih pothvata, a koje ih sputavaju u ostvarenju uspješnog poslovanja. Provedeno je temeljito istraživanje i analiza postojećih programa potpore mladim poduzetnicima te istraživanje znanja, vještina i kompetencija potrebnih za ostvarenje uspješnog pothvata. Samim time, s ciljem otkrivanja i jasnijeg utvrđivanja prepreka u poduzetništvu u modnoj industriji prikazani su primjeri dobre i loše prakse poduzetnika te je pomoću polustrukturiranog intervjua intervjuirano pet poduzetnika iz modne industrije. Rezultati istraživanja pokazali su da, iako postoje brojne potporne institucije i različite pomoći za financiranje pothvata, mladi poduzetnici još uvijek nisu dovoljno informirani, što dovodi do toga da potporu od strane države smatraju nedovoljnom. Osim toga, kreativnim djelatnicima nedostaje poduzetničkog obrazovanja koje im je potrebno kako bi bili upućeniji u poslovanje, a to dovodi do problema s izlaskom na tržište, pregovaranjem, promoviranjem, administriranjem i slično. Rezultati ovoga rada mogu pomoći mladim poduzetnicima i onima koji se žele okušati u poduzetništvu u kreativnim industrijama, imajući na umu prepreke na koje bi pri tome mogli naići, obvezu razvijanja osnovnih znanja, vještina i kompetencija te preporuke iz prakse koje bi olakšale ne samo pokretanje poduzetničkog pothvata u modnoj industriji, već i njegov budući razvoj i održivost.
Due to insufficient knowledge of the specifics of creative industries, entrepreneurial ventures of young people increasingly result in failure, or even in non-starting of an entrepreneurial venture at all because of the risks it entails. The purpose of this paper is to identify the obstacles that young entrepreneurs face when starting a business, which are hindering them from achieving successful business. Thorough research and analysis of support programs for young entrepreneurs, as well as research of knowledge, skills and competencies needed to achieve a successful venture have been performed. Therefore, in order to detect and clearly identify obstacles to entrepreneurship in the fashion industry, examples of good and failed entrepreneurship practices were presented, including semistructured interview with 5 entrepreneurs from the fashion industry. The results of the research show that although there are numerous support institutions and various grants available to finance the venture, young entrepreneurs are still not sufficiently informed, which leads them to consider the existing support as insufficient. In addition, creative workers lack the entrepreneurial education. They need to be more knowledgeable in business, since they have problems with accessing the market, negotiations, promotion, administration, etc. The results of this paper can help young entrepreneurs and all those who want to take a chance on entrepreneurship in creative industries, among other things, by referring to the obstacles they may encounter, the obligation to develop basic knowledge, skills and competencies, so as practical recommendations that would facilitate not only starting of an entrepreneurial venture in the fashion industry, but its future development and sustainability as well.

Cilj rada je determinirati financijsku stabilnost i poslovnu strukturu ekosustava Alibaba te ukazati na mogućnosti koje platforma stvara poduzetnicima u Republici Hrvatskoj. Metodologija – rad je dizajniran kao deskriptivni opis nastanka i razvoja poduzetničkih i menadžerskih modela ekosustava Alibaba. U analizi poslovne strukture korištena su financijska izvješća korporacije, kao i znanstvena literatura koja se bavi analizom poslovnog modela ekosustava Alibaba. Rezultati istraživanja – ukazuju na transformaciju modela stvaranja prihoda te razvoj novih oblika poslovnih aktivnosti platforme. Korporacija je osnovana kao online maloprodajna platforma, ali se razvojem poslovnih aktivnosti transformirala u hibridni oblik ekonomije platformi. Zaključak – ekosustav Alibaba najveći dio prihoda ostvaruje iz maloprodajne online aktivnosti u Kini. Istovremeno, platforma se transformira prema hibridnom poslovnom modelu te značajno raste udio prihoda od poslovanja u oblaku. Šireći se izvan domicilnog tržište u Kini te razvijajući nove oblike usluga, platforma otvara mogućnosti za razvoj malih i srednjih poduzeća izvan Kine. U tom kontekstu, ekosustav Alibaba može postati poluga razvoja za mala i srednja poduzeća iz Republike Hrvatske kao i za razvoj gospodarske aktivnosti u uslužnim industrijama u Republici Hrvatskoj.
The aim of this paper is to determine the financial stability and business structure of the Alibaba ecosystem and to point out the opportunities that the platform creates for entrepreneurs in the Republic of Croatia. Methodology ‒ the paper is designed as a descriptive research of the emergence and development of entrepreneurial and managerial models of the Alibaba ecosystem. The financial structure of the corporation was used in the analysis of the business structure, as well as the scientific literature that deals with the analysis of the business model of the Alibaba ecosystem. Research results indicate the transformation of the revenue generation model and the development of new forms of business activities of the platform. The corporation was founded as an online retail platform but with the development of business activities it has transformed into a hybrid form of platform economy. Conclusion ‒ Alibaba ecosystem generates most of its revenue from online retail activities in China. At the same time, the platform is transforming towards a hybrid business model and the share of cloud business revenue is growing significantly. As it is expanding beyond the domicile market in China and developing new forms of services, the platform opens opportunities for the development of small and medium enterprises outside of China. In this context, the Alibaba ecosystem can become a lever of development for small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Croatia as well as for the development of economic activities in service industries in the Republic of Croatia.

Cilj je ovog rada analizirati u kojoj su mjeri usuglašene komunikološke strategije brenda poslodavca pri regrutaciji, s percepcijom brenda poslodavca preko potencijalnih kandidata. Istraživani su sadržaji oglasa za posao najuspješnijih poslodavaca u Srbiji u kontekstu brenda poslodavca. Analiziran je 291 oglas za posao 18 najpoželjnijih poslodavaca objavljenih na Infostud platformi u periodu ožujak ‒ lipanj 2021., urađena je kvalitativna i kvantitativna analiza. Na osnovu rezultata zaključeno je da su kompanije sa snažnom poslovnim reputacijom veoma popularni poslodavci, nevezano od razvijenosti dosljedne strategije komunikacije brenda poslodavca. U oglasima se najčešće komunicira o radnom okruženju i mogućnostima za sticanje znanja, a najmanje komunicirani faktori su oni koji se tiču sigurnosti na poslu i liderstva. U oglasima za niže pozicije, statistički češće komunicirani faktori su oni vezani za zaradu, bonuse i nagrađivanje.
The aim of this paper is to analyse the extent to which the communication strategies of employer brands during recruitment process are in line with the perception of the employer brand by potential candidates. In the context of the employer brand, the contents of job advertisements of the most attractive employers in Serbia were researched. It was analysed through 291 job advertisements of 18 most desirable employers published on the Infostud platform in the period of March to June of 2021, and qualitative and quantitative analysis was performed. Research results indicate that companies with a strong business reputation are very popular brand employers, regardless of the development of a consistent employer brand communication strategy. Their job advertisements most often communicate work environment and opportunities for knowledge acquisition, and the least communicated factors were related to the safety of job position and leadership. Significantly, more often were communicated factors related to earnings, bonuses and rewards for lower job positions.

Artykuł podejmuje problematykę współpracy przemysłu lekowego ze studentami medycyny oraz przedstawia wyniki badania ilościowego przeprowadzonego wśród studentów medycyny z Warszawskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego i czterech szkół medycznych z Filadelfii w USA dotyczącego ich kontaktów z producentami leków. Badanie te pokazują, że w Polsce studenci medycyny spotykają się z większą ilością form marketingu farmaceutycznego niż amerykańscy, a ponadto otrzymują od nich słabszą edukację nt. relacji z przemysłem farmaceutycznym. Wyniki te powinny wzbudzić niepokój i chęć zmian w tej kwestii.
In world literature a lot is written about contacts of physicians with pharmaceutical industry, however less research are dealing with the cooperation of business with medical students. In Poland this problem have not been studied, yet. The article will discuss those issues and will show the results of the quantitative research conducted with the self-administered questionnaire amongst medical students from the Warsaw Medical University and four medical schools from Philadelphia in US. In Poland 52,5% of total number of medical students and in US 34,6% have participated at the lecture, seminars, presentation or other educational meeting organized by the pharmaceutical company. Among Polish respondents 49,1% and among American 21,4% have received a gift from pharmaceutical company. US students (41,0%) more often than Polish ones (37,7%) have talked with pharmaceutical representative about drugs, but Polish (10,0%) more often than American students (5,8%) have talked with reps about personal issues. All the problems connected with proper cooperation with industry such as: critical look at marketing materials from pharmaceutical companies; seeking the reliable information about drugs; methods of the manipulation and influence used by reps; ethical standards of the cooperation of physicians with pharmaceutical industry; legal standards of the cooperation of physicians with industry; revealing potential and existing conflicts of interest – were brought up statistically significant more rarely in Polish medical schools than in US medical education. Polish students more often have contact with different forms of pharmaceutical marketing than their US colleagues and weaker education concerning. Those results should arise concern and willingness of changes.

The purpose of this article was to show the research development of the Polish Catholic education in the 20th century, as a source of inspiration of pedagogical activities in the re-establishment of a Polish State, in the opinions of future educators. The research was conducted on the basis of surveys and tests of knowledge. They indicate the significant role of the Polish Catholic education in shaping a new reality educational day 20th anniversary. Faith and hope the population, understanding for easy care and taking it together with the Polish has become possible thanks to the idea of catholicity.
Celem niniejszego artykułu było ukazanie wyimka badań z zakresu rozwoju polskiej pedagogiki katolickiej w XX w. jako źródła inspiracji działań pedagogicznych w odradzającym się Państwie Polskim w opiniach przyszłych pedagogów. Badania przeprowadzono na podstawie ankiety i testów wiedzy. Wskazują one na znaczną rolę polskiej pedagogiki katolickiej w kształtowaniu nowej rzeczywistości edukacyjnej doby XX-lecia międzywojennego. Wiara i nadzieja ludności, zrozumienie dla trudu wychowawczego i podejmowanie go wspólnie z władzą polską stało się możliwe dzięki idei katolickości oraz chrześcijańskiemu ideałowi wychowawczemu.

The presented study is a primary initiative in the Peruvian literature for understanding the factors which influence undergraduate students´ choice of a B-school offering a Master´s Degree in Business Administration. A self-administered questionnaire and focus group discussions were used in order to collect data from 700 respondents, with a usable response rate of 92%. Analysis of the data was carried on through exploratory factor analysis. The seven revealed factors which accounted for 63.2082% of the total variance were: Corporate Social Responsibility, Essentials of an MBA Program, Quality Yardsticks, Entrepreneurship, Location, MBA Technical Specifications, and Physical Facilities. Entrepreneurship education should be addressed primarily, as entrepreneurship is vital for economic growth in Peru. In order to raise their value proposition, B-schools are expected to take true initiatives in the CSR area and promote entrepreneurship education in their curricula, through both business-skills training and practical support given by the B-school.

Norwegia jest krajem, któremu udało się uniknąć kryzysu z lat 2007-2008. Dzięki zastosowaniu przez Bank Norwegii (Norges Bank, NB1) kombinacji zmian stopy procentowej i agregatu M0, krajowi temu udało się opóźnić wystąpienie załamania (kryzys miał tam miejsce w 2009 r.) i zmniejszyć jego głębokość. Zastosowanie tych narzędzi uzasadnia wykorzystanie austriackiej teorii cyklu koniunkturalnego do identyfikacji faz cyklu w gospodarce norweskiej. Na podstawie danych statystycznych wyodrębniono pełny cykl koniunkturalny (od IV kwartału 2006 r. do IV kwartału 2013 r.) oraz dwie fazy kolejnego cyklu (od I kwartału 2014 r. do I kwartału 2018 r.). O ile w przypadku pierwszego zidentyfikowanego cyklu Bank Norwegii mógł wpływać na koniunkturę, wykorzystując manipulowanie stopą procentową i agregatem M0, o tyle w przypadku trwającego cyklu jedynym narzędziem, które może okazać się skuteczne, jest sterowanie poziomem bazy monetarnej.
Norway is a country which successfully managed to escape the 2007-2008 economic crisis. The combination of changes to the interest rates and M0 aggregate put in place by the Norway's Central Bank helped the country in delaying the downturn (in Norway crisis began in 2009) and reduce its depth. The selection of the above mentioned tools has determined the application of the Austrian business cycle theory to identify business cycle phases in the Norwegian economy. Based on statistical data one full business cycle has been distinguished (running from Q4 2006 until Q4 2013) together with two phases of the subsequent cycle (from Q1 2014 until Q1 2018). While during the first full cycle the Norway's central bank was able to impact the economic situation by manipulating the exchange rate and M0 aggregate, during the on-going cycle the only tool that could be effective has been the adjustment of the monetary base.

The paper is of theoretical and empirical character. Its main objective is to verify two hypotheses that are fundamental to the Austrian business cycle theory. One claims that a restrictive monetary policy causes a shortening of the production structure. The other states that increases in interest rates lead to relative differences in the decline of the output in manufacturing industries that produce goods at different distances from the consumer. The analysis presented in the paper was based on selected indicators and allowed to positively verify both hypotheses. Interest rate increases effected by the National Bank of Poland led to the formation of downward phases of the cycle. During the examined period we observed a decrease in the production time of final goods as well as relative differences in the declines in the output of the manufacturing industries which varied in their distance to the final recipients.
Opracowanie ma charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny. Jego głównym celem jest weryfikacja dwóch zasadniczych dla austriackiej teorii cyklu koniunkturalnego hipotez. Pierwsza hipoteza mówi, że restrykcyjna polityka pieniężna powoduje skracanie struktury produkcji, druga ,– że podwyżki stóp prowadzą do względnych różnic w spadku produkcji branż wytwarzających dobra w różnych odległościach od konsumenta. Przeprowadzona w opracowaniu analiza, oparta na przyjętych wskaźnikach, pozwala pozytywnie zweryfikować obie hipotezy. Podwyżki stóp procentowych dokonane przez Narodowy Bank Polski prowadziły do powstawania spadkowych faz cyklu. W tym okresie w polskiej gospodarce zmniejszał się czas produkcji dóbr finalnych oraz występowały względne różnice w spadkach produkcji w branżach oddalonych w różnym stopniu od ostatecznego odbiorcy.

With the aim of revealing linguocultural gaps (lacunas) in Hungarian-Vietnamese business communication, a questionnaire-based study was conducted. A total of 638 questionnaires was completed and analysed. Participants of the survey were Vietnamese individuals who had lived and graduated from university in Hungary, and had a good command of the Hungarian language. In this presentation, the results obtained will be displayed, including linguistic and cultural differences between representatives of the two aforementioned nations. The theoretical background of the study is the Lacuna Theory, developed by the Moscow School of Ethnopsycholinguistics. The results of the survey will hopefully contribute to the further development of the Lacuna Theory in general and in the business context in particular.

The article presents an example of the cooperation of business with a college which is a reply to the current economic demand regarding the development of high quality human capital. It discusses the arguments that justify such cooperation and presents its possible forms. The selected example, a pioneering case in the country, shows the functioning of the business-university cooperation together with its assumptions and results on both sides.

In order to develop a reasonable negotiation strategy, it is necessary to rely on strategic management principles and techniques. This article examines the issues on the application of strategic management theory in negotiations. The article presents an overview of strategic management science researches, are presented scientific positions on the substance of strategic management process, its structure, and prospects for studies in this area. In the article, there are examined worldwide scientific approaches to strategic management and different schools of strategic management. A survey of the key provisions of strategic management schools showed that not all of them may be useful in practice of negotiations. However, merging and adapting their individual elements for specific cases can be an excellent tool for strategic analysis of the negotiating situation, but also for development and implementation of negotiation strategy. The most applicable theories of strategic management in preparing and implementing of negotiation strategy seem to be the ones developed by the following schools: Entrepreneurial, Cognitive learning, Environmental and Power. Considering theincreasing internationalization of negotiations there are important theoretical and practical concepts of strategic management culture school. This paper will provide an overview of the main theoretical perspectives on strategic management of negotiations.

Background and Objective: Educational institutions pay attention to improving the educational process by gradually transferring classes to an active didactic format and activating the process using innovative methods and modern educational technologies, namely case studies, business games, trainings, brainstorming techniques, and so on. This allowed us to attract job seekers education of the out-of-school educational institution “Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth «Polet»” of the Zaporizhzhia City Council of the Zaporozhye region for creative communication not only in the classroom, but also in a remote format; teach to work in a team; increase the efficiency of perception of theoretical material on economics and acquire practical skills in enterprise management. Study Design/Materials and Methods: The methods used include the literature review (theory) as well as description of experience of the authors in the given field. Results: The result of the research is to organize the educational process of institutions of higher and extracurricular education and analyze the effectiveness of business simulation training in the professional training of future economists. Practical implications: The practical implications focuses on covering the process of introducing business simulation technologies into the educational process of educational institutions and analyze the effectiveness of using business simulations in the educational process. Based on the purpose of the study, the authors set and considered the following tasks: 1. Prerequisites for using a competency-based approach in the educational process; 2. Defining the essence of the term “business simulator”; 3. Stages of development of business games and simulations; 4. Analysis of the market for business games and simulations; 5. Calculating the effectiveness of using business simulators in the educational process; 6. Recommendations for improving the educational process using business simulation technologies. Conclusion and summary: Simulation learning is a powerful tool for modern higher and extracurricular education. This has found application in the educational processes out of-school educational institution “Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth «Polet»”. Development simulation forms of learning through modeling in the educational process of relationships and conditions of real work of a virtual enterprise increase the competitiveness of applicants for education in the labor market.
Cel: Instytucje edukacyjne zwracają uwagę na usprawnienie procesu edukacyjnego poprzez stopniowe przenoszenie zajęć do aktywnego formatu dydaktycznego i aktywizowanie procesu przy użyciu innowacyjnych metod oraz nowoczesnych technologii edukacyjnych, w tym studiów przypadku, gier biznesowych, szkoleń, technik burzy mózgów itp. To przyczyniło się do utworzenia pozaszkolnej instytucji edukacyjnej „Centrum Twórczości Naukowo-Technicznej Młodzieży «Polet»” Rady Miasta Zaporoże regionu Zaporoża do twórczej komunikacji nie tylko podczas zajęć stacjonarnych w klasie, ale także w trakcie nauki zdalnej. Celem była praca w zespole, zwiększenie efektywność percepcji materiału teoretycznego z zakresu ekonomii oraz zdobycie praktycznych umiejętności w zakresie zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem. Materiały i metody badawcze: Zastosowane metody obejmują przegląd literatury (teorię) oraz opis doświadczeń autorów w danej dziedzinie. Wyniki: Wynikiem badań jest uporządkowanie procesu kształcenia na uczelniach wyższych i podczas zajęć pozaszkolnych oraz analiza efektywności szkoleń symulacyjnych w kształceniu zawodowym przyszłych ekonomistów. Wnioski praktyczne: Wynikiem praktycznym jest przedstawienie procesu wprowadzania technologii symulacji biznesowej do procesu edukacyjnego instytucji edukacyjnych oraz analiza efektywności wykorzystania symulacji biznesowych w procesie edukacyjnym. Zgodnie z celem badania autorzy wyznaczyli i rozważyli następujące zadania: 1. Uwarunkowania stosowania podejścia kompetencyjnego w procesie edukacyjnym; 2. Zdefiniowanie istoty pojęcia „symulator biznesu”; 3. Etapy rozwoju gier i symulacji biznesowych; 4. Analiza rynku gier i symulacji biznesowych; 5. Obliczanie efektywności wykorzystania symulatorów biznesowych w procesie edukacyjnym; 6. Rekomendacje usprawnienia procesu edukacyjnego z wykorzystaniem technologii symulacji biznesowej. Wnioski i podsumowanie: Nauka symulacyjna jest potężnym narzędziem nowoczesnej edukacji wyższej i pozalekcyjnej. Znalazło to zastosowanie w procesach edukacyjnych pozaszkolnej placówki oświatowej „Centrum Naukowo-Technicznej Twórczości Młodzieży «Polet»”. Rozwój symulacyjnych form uczenia się poprzez modelowanie w procesie edukacyjnym relacji i warunków rzeczywistej pracy wirtualnego przedsiębiorstwa zwiększa szanse osób konkurujących na rynku pracy.

The article starts with a brief description of Mises’ monetary theory, with emphasis on the Misesian differentiation of two kinds of credit: commodity and circulation credit, and with the description of the impact of circulation credit expansion on the business cycle. Further on it is described how Mises’ insights constituted the kernel of Austrian Business Cycle Theory, and how the same observations on the nature of credit constituted the kernel of the Chicago Plan (though Mises’ views on the nature of credit led him to different conculsions than it led the authors of the Chicago Plan), and how this plan is being “rediscovered” now. The following sections deal with observations of one of the preeminent current macroeconomic researches, Mr. Claudio Borio, on the elasticity of credit as the source of the current crisis, and on the importance of the financial cycle in analysing the current economic crisis. The author of this text demonstrates that Austrian Business Cycle Theory gave the same answer regarding the sources of economic crises that now modern macroeconomic theory seems to be approaching, and that the postulates for successful financial cycle modeling are already included in the ABCT. Finally, some observations on the current crisis, as well as proposals of avenues of further research are proposed.

In the paper a thesis is stated that institutional economics presents considerable support for business ethics teaching. The assumptions of main-stream economics eliminated the problems of morality in economic life. The dominance of neo-classical economics in economic studies curricula contributes to the social opinion that business is deprived of moral dimensions. From this point of view, it is argued that business ethicists should be more interested in institutional economics. Some institutionalists see economics close to social moral philosophy and claim that a normative approach in economics is natural and necessary. The questions of aims and economic morality are integral parts of many institutional research agendas. Especially the New Institutional Economics has developed tools that enable formalization and empirical verification of theories of morality in business. Institutional economics enriches the theoretical and empirical context of business ethics teaching.

Opis:
Szkoła austriacka przeżywała okresy świetności oraz zastoju. Pierwsza fala ekonomistów austriackich, takich jak C. Menger, F. Wieser, E. Böhm-Bawerk zdobyła tak duże uznanie, iż większość jej założeń zostało praktycznie wcielonych do głównego nurtu. Następne pokolenie, czyli F. von Hayek oraz L. von Mises, również cieszyło się dużym uznaniem wśród ekonomistów, jednak większość ich życia przypadła na okres, kiedy niesłychaną popularność zdobywały teorie J.M. Keynesa, wskazując łatwą drogę wyjścia z kryzysu lat 1929-1935, będącego rzekomo kryzysem gospodarki kapitalistycznej, tak propagowanej przez Hayeka czy Misesa. Szkoła austriacka odzyskała swą renomę w latach siedemdziesiątych dwudziestego wieku, kiedy najbardziej rozwinięte gospodarki świata zostały dotknięte przez największy kryzys gospodarczy od lat trzydziestych. Kryzys ten polegał na jednoczesnym występowaniu wysokiej inflacji oraz bezrobocia, tj. stagflacji. W teorii Keynesa zjawisko to nie miało wytłumaczenia. Również w latach siedemdziesiątych Nagrodą Nobla z ekonomii wyróżniony został Hayek, co spowodowało wzrost zainteresowania szkołą austriacką. W tym samym czasie ogromną pracę dla rozwoju i popularyzacji szkoły austriackiej wykonali działający na amerykańskich uniwersytetach naukowcy: I. M. Kirzner oraz M. Rothbard.
The Austrian school of economics experienced both its heyday and stagnation. The first wave of Austrian economists, such as C. Menger, F. von Wieser, E. von Böhm-Bawerk was so widely recognized that most of its assumptions were practically incorporated into the mainstream. The next generation, that is F. von Hayek and L. von Mises, also enjoyed universal recognition among economists, however, most of their lifetimes fell on the period when J. M. Keynes’ theories became immensely popular, as they showed an easy way to overcome the crisis of 1929-1935 that was allegedly a crisis of the capitalist economy, the economy so much promoted by Hayek or Mises. The Austrian school regained its renown in the 1970s, when the world’s most developed economies were affected by the greatest economic crisis since the 1930s. The crisis consisted in simultaneous occurrence of a high inflation and unemployment, that is stagflation. In Keynes’ theory this phenomenon was not explained. It was also in the 1970s that Hayek was awarded the Nobel prize, which aroused interest in the Austrian school. At the same time I. M. Kirzner and M. Rothbard who worked in American universities did great work to develop and promote the Austrian school.

Opis:
Artykuł odnosi się do pojęcia e-biznes, omówione są w nim zagadnienia: e-commers, B2B oraz B2C. Głównym celem jego napisania było przedstawienie istotności prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej w Internecie, która została zbadana na podstawie analizy wyników badania ankietowego przeprowadzonego wśród studentów Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Zawodowej w Tarnowie. Badania ankietowe dostarczyły informacji na temat wiedzy studentów o biznesie internetowym. Wyniki badania ankietowego posłużyły do przygotowania konferencji pod nazwą „E-Biznes Camp”, utwierdzając organizatorów w słuszności przygotowania takiego przedsięwzięcia. Badanie umożliwiło również wytyczenie obszarów, w zakresie których studenci chcieliby poszerzyć swoją wiedzę.
The article refers to the commonly used concept of e-business. Describes the following terms: e-commers, B2B and B2C. The main purpose of writing was to show the relevance of business enterprise on the web. To confirm this we used the results of a survey conducted among the students of PWSZ in Tarnów. The survey provided information about the student's knowledge of internet business. The results of the survey confirmed the validity of the preparation and organization of a conference under the title of "eBusiness Camp" and also we encountered topics on which students would like to expand their knowledge.
Статья относится к повсеместно используемому понятию э- бизнес, обсуждены в ней вопросы: э- коммерция, В2В, а также В2С. Главной целью ее написания было представление насущности управления хозяйственной деятельностью в Интернете, которая была исследована на основании анализа результатов опросного исследования проведённого среди студентов Государственной высшей профессиональной школы в Тарнове. Опросные исследования представили информацию касающуюся знаний студентов об интернет-бизнесе. Результаты опросного исследования послужили основанием для подготовки конференции под названием „Э-Бизнес Камп”, утверждая организаторов в сущности подготовки такого мероприятия. Исследования позволили также выделить области исследуемой проблематики, в которых студенты хотели бы расширять свои знания.
