Opis:
Considering the non-linear characteristics of the activation functions, the entire task is multidimensional and non-linear with a multimodal target function. Implementing evolutionary computing in the multimodal optimization tasks gives developers new and effective tools for seeking the global minimum. A developer has to find the optimal and simple transformation between the realization of a phenotype and a genotype. In the article, a two-layer neural network is analysed. In the first step, the population is created. In the main algorithm loop, a parent selection mechanism is used together with the fitness function. To evaluate the quality of evolutionary computing process different measured characteristics are used. The final results are depicted using charts and tables.

This article presents fundamental issues related to the process of planning scientific research in security sciences based on methods belonging to operational research. Operational research is one of the areas that are intensively developed and implemented towards security and performance improvement in areas such as planning, organizing, implementing or controlling various types of projects. Therefore, issues related to operational research, its methodological foundations, and the use of network programming methods in the field of planning research process required a broader explanation in the context of security sciences. As a consequence, a reference to the decision model was made. It was stated that each decision related to security research increases the demand for methods of analysis and objective assessment. Each undertaking, in particular this related to security research, is associated with specific goals, the achievement of which requires possession of appropriate forces and resources. This study refers to the essence of project implementation time, which is very often limited and can be used in a variety of ways, which is determined by the specific conditions in which the technical, organizational or other activities are carried out. As a consequence of the above, it is stated that the research process is characterized by conducting a sequence of activities aimed at achieving research goal, solving research problem or verifying hypothesis within a specified time frame. It is also stated that each research process has a specific duration and one can be tempted to state that it is usually unique.

In recent years in Europe and in Poland a discernible trend of significant increase safety in rail transport can be observed. Safety improvement is realized at many levels and in many aspects (organizational, systematic, technical etc.). Implementation of Safety and Maintenance Management Systems are an example of activities seeking to systematically increase safety in rail in Europe. Similarly, on the part of technical solutions, there are discernible activities which are aimed at improving the safety level. There offer new construction solutions, new control systems or new communication technologies which are designed to increase reliability and safety of this mode of transport. For innovations introduced in vehicles, almost only improving safety in the field of implementing enhancements in construction of running gear systems of vehicle used to be thought about. However, it is worth remembering that not only the bogie, wheel set or wheels are responsible for the proper cooperation of the vehicle with the track and its safe running. Elements that have not been yet subjected to deeper analyzes are railway buffers whose proper maintenance and cooperation is a guarantee of correct vehicle dynamics, especially when passing through rail curves. This article presents the results of operational research of railway buffers whose heads were covered with an aluminium bronze layer. This solution has helped to increase the durability of their co-operating surfaces, and has allowed the resignation of the now-proposed solution, which consists in periodically covering buffers heads with the grease which has a lot of defects.

The article presents a description of scientific achievements concerning Multiple- Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods attained as part of the cooperation between scientific centres of Lithuania, Germany and Poland with a special emphasis on the input by Professor Edmundas K. Zavadskas and his scientific school. The cooperation, which commenced in 1986, focused on “Colloquia” — the systematic, international scientific seminars. The article aimed to summarise and popularise the achievement of these “Colloquia” in the area of MCDM as well as spotlight the outstanding theoretical and application significance of accomplishments by Prof. Zavadskas. Also, the work presents the most recent MCDM methods developed by Prof. Zavadskas that improve the accuracy of calculations and extend the area of their application.

Coraz więcej naukowców na świecie zajmuje się konstrukcjami tanich i ekologicznych układów napędowych. Jednocześnie rynek pojazdów elektrycznych skupia się głównie wokół konstrukcji samochodowych, które mogą być eksploatowane w ciągu całego roku kalendarzowego, niezależnie od współrzędnych geograficznych opisujących miejsce ich użytkowania. W artykule zaprezentowano konstrukcję elektrycznego układu napędowego motocykla, jaka została opracowana i zrealizowana w Akademii Morskiej w Gdyni. Omówiono założenia konstrukcyjne, jakie były przyjęte przy projektowaniu podzespołów wykorzystanych do budowy elektrycznego układu napędowego, składającego się z trakcyjnego silnika napędowego, falownika, pakietu akumulatorów wraz z systemem BMS, instalacji 12 V DC z przetwornicą DC/DC oraz komputera pokładowego z wyświetlaczem parametrów. W pracy zaprezentowano parametry elektrycznego układu napędowego, takie jak: generowana moc, prędkość maksymalna pojazdu czy też zużycie energii. Przedstawiono wyniki badań eksploatacyjnych elektrycznego układu napędowego, przeprowadzone w rzeczywistych warunkach drogowych.

More and more engineers worldwide are designing cheap and environmentally friendly vehicle powertrains. Meanwhile the market of electric vehicles concentrates around full car-sized vehicles, intended for operation during the whole year, independent of the climatic region. This article presents the design of an electric motorcycle powertrain, developed and prototyped in the Gdynia Maritime University. Discussed are the design intents used to create the powertrain elements, including traction motor, inverter, battery pack with a BMS system, vehicle 12V bus with DC/DC converter and an onboard computer with a parameter display. Coraz więcej naukowców na świecie zajmuje się konstrukcjami tanich i ekologicznych układów napędowych. Jednocześnie rynek pojazdów elektrycznych skupia się głównie wokół konstrukcji samochodowych, które mogą być eksploatowane w ciągu całego roku kalendarzowego, niezależnie od współrzędnych geograficznych opisujących miejsce ich użytkowania. W artykule zaprezentowano konstrukcję elektrycznego układu napędowego motocykla, jaka została opracowana i zrealizowana w Akademii Morskiej w Gdyni. Omówiono założenia konstrukcyjne jakie były przyjęte przy projektowaniu podzespołów wykorzystanych do budowy elektrycznego układu napędowego składającego się z trakcyjnego silnika napędowego, falownika, pakietu akumulatorów wraz z systemem BMS, instalacji 12VDC z przetwornicą DC/DC oraz komputera pokładowego z wyświetlaczem parametrów. In the article the ratings developed by Moody's Corporation, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services and financial data of Polish windows manufactures were analyzed. Ratings published by international agencies were compared with an independently developed rating. Authors made an attempt to verify the hypothesis whether the internal rating created by means of operational research method, significantly differs from the ratings prepared by international rating agencies. In the article mathematical possibilities of potential changes in credit rating were presented.

The authors take into consideration the process of translating demand forecasts (or sale plans) into production plan. In the first part of the paper the characteristics and parameters of a aggregate planning are summarized. The main part contains the proposal of integer programming model which supports aggregate planning decisions. In the proposed model production quantities, timing of inputs, inventory levels and workloads are considered. The last part of the paper contains the presentation of computational result obtained by using the introduced model.
