Opis:
In this paper, we try to model the dynamics of short term interest rate using the fractional nonhomogeneous differential equation with stochastic free term. This type of equation is similar to one which represents the viscoelastic behavior of certain materials from rheologic point of view. As a final result we obtain the closed formula for prices of zero-coupon bonds. They are analogous to those in Vasiček model, where instead of the exponential functions we have the Mittag-Leffler ones.

The article presents the essence of security management in railway transport and to identify the priorities of Poland’s transportation system. The main problem of paper was formulated as follows: How is the Safety Management System of Rail Transport functioning, taking into account national and international legal regulations and existing threats? In the solving of mentioned problem, the following research methods were applied: analogy, definition, analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, modeling and diagnostic survey with expert research sample. The research was carried out with emploees of company PKP PLK S.A. A systemic approach underlies the Safety Management System (SMS) functioning now in Poland. To guarantee the proper conduct of transport, each railway transportation enterprise and each administrator of infrastructure is required to create a system based on effective risk management. Adequately prepared SMS procedures should assure the implementation of risk control means and the monitoring of the effectiveness of the applied solutions in order to warrant the due level of safety. Presently, digital transformation is of major importance to the development of railway transport. New management systems will be based on technologies utilizing the Internet, automatization, robotization, and new tools, such as big data.

W artykule przedstawiono rynek transportu kolejowego w Polsce, z uwzględnieniem wszystkich rodzajów towarów przewożonych z wykorzystaniem infrastruktury kolejowej. Zaprezentowano najbardziej istotne akty prawne z obszaru kolejnictwa oraz od dokonano diagnozy transportu kolejowego w odniesieniu do zmian, które nastąpiły na przestrzeni ostatnich lat. W artykule poruszono problematykę związaną z klasyfikacją towarów niebezpiecznych, uwzględniając zagrożenia wynikające z transportu niniejszych ładunków. Dodatkowo przedstawiono podstawowe wytyczne dotyczące zabezpieczenia towarów przewożonych transportem kolejowym oraz działania podejmowane na wypadek zaistnienia sytuacji kryzysowej.
An article constitutes characterization of basic information about rail transport of goods. Firstly, it presents basic information about rail transport such as national and international rules of law, rail’s infrastructure and main companies responsible for the organization of transport. Secondly, paper discussed the threats connected with rail transport of goods and it shows procedures and behaviors which should be taken in case of an accident on the railroad. Another theme mentioned in the paper concerns rescue during the rail transport of dangerous goods. The proposition is to improve existing rescue system what will permit to increase the safety of people and the environment. The Article is finished by a brief summary of content described in it.

Celem artykułu jest analiza przewozu towarów transportem kolejowym w Polsce z w okresie 2010 – 2016. Przedstawiono sytuację na rynku kolejowym, uwzględniając krajowe i międzynarodowe uwarunkowania prawne, infrastrukturę kolejową oraz przewoźników odpowiadających za organizację transportów. Zaprezentowano ogólną charakterystykę krajowego rynku transportu ładunków, uwzględniając statystyki publikowane przez Główny Urząd Statystyczny oraz dane pochodzące ze stron Urzędu Transportu Kolejowego.
The aim of the article is to analyze the carriages cargo using railway transport in Poland in 2010 – 2016. The paper presents basic information about rail transport such as national and international rules of law, rail’s infrastructure and main companies responsible for the organization of transport. The article presents the general characterization of the national transport market of goods. Paper discussed the impact of railway transport on the national economy. An author used the statistics published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS). The Article is finished by a brief summary of content described in it.

Potato plants can be colonized by various viruses and by symbiotic, saprophytic and pathogenic fungi. However, the significance of interactions of viral infection and fungal colonization is hardly known. This work presents a model experiment in which the influence of three different types of fungal associations on the growth and physiology of the potato variety Pirol was tested individually or in combination with infection by PVY. It was hypothesized that simultaneous viral and fungal infections increase the biotic stress of the host plant, but mutualistic plant-fungal associations can mask the impact of viral infection. In the present study, a symbiotic arbsucular mycorrhizal fungus, Glomus intraradices, significantly stimulated the growth of plants infected with PVY. In contrast, two saprophytic Trichoderma spp. strains either did not influence or even inhibited the growth of PVY-infected plants. Also, inoculation of PVY-infected potato plants with a pathogenic strain of Colletotrichum coccodes did not inhibit the plant growth. Growth of the PVY-free potato plants was not promoted by the symbiotic fungus, whereas T. viride, T. harzianum and C. coccodes had an evident inhibitory effect. The strongest growth inhibition and highest concentration of H2O2, as an indicator of biotic stress, was observed in PVY-free potato plants inoculated with T. harzianum and C. coccodes strains. Surprisingly, ultrastructural analysis of PVY-infected plant roots colonized by G. intraradices showed virus-like structures in the arbuscules. This pointed to the possibility of mycorrhizal-mediated transmission of virus particles and has to be further biotic stress; Potato virus Y (PVY); Glomus intraradices; Trichoderma viride; T. harzianum; Colletotrichum coccodesexamined by testing with immunoassays and real transmission to uninfected plants. In conclusion, although mycorrhiza formation might decrease the impact of PVY infection on plants, a possible role of mycorrhizal fungi as virus vectors is discussed.

Habanero pepper fruits contain capsaicin (CAP) characterised by a spicy taste. Astrocytes express vanilloid receptor (TRPV1), which interacts with cannabinoids including CAP. Only a few studies revealed that CAP leads to alterations of the arcuate nucleus (ARC) structures. The aim of this study was to analyse the GFAP (GFAP-IR) and S100β (S100β-IR) immunoreactive astrocytes of ARC in adult rats after intragastric administration of habanero pepper fruits. Adult, Wistar rats received a peanut oil – control group (C) – and oil suspension of habanero pepper fruits at a dose of 0.08 g dm/kg b.w. for 7 days – E1 group – and 28 days – E2 group. After euthanasia, the brains were embedded in paraffin blocks using a routine histological technique. Frontal slices of ARC were immunohistochemically stained for GFAP and S100β using specific antibodies in the peroxidase-antiperoxidase method. Astrocytes of ARC were morphologically and morphometrically analysed under a light microscope. The results of the study did not reveal statistically significant changes in the density of GFAP-IR cells in E1 and E2 groups of rats in comparison with group C. A statistically significant increase in the density of S100β-IR astrocytes was observed in the E1 group and a decrease in the E2 group. Astrocytes with expression of both studied proteins were characterised by morphological alterations in ARC in the E2 group. The obtained results suggest an influence of CAP contained in habanero pepper fruits on the reactivity of astroglia, which may have an impact on the astrocyte-neuron interactions in order to maintain a proper activity of nervous cells in ARC.

Celem badań było porównanie wartości technologicznej i sensorycznej mięsa wieprzowego należącego do różnych klas jakościowych. Badania przeprowadzono selekcjonując materiał spośród 390 tuczników. W mięsie badanych tuczników oznaczono: pH, barwę, wyciek naturalny, wskaźnik RTN, wydajność po gotowaniu. Przeprowadzono również ocenę sensoryczną mięsa surowego i gotowanego. Na podstawie wartości pH (1, 3, 24 h) próby mięsa podzielono na: PSE, częściowo PSE, kwaśne, normalne i częściowo DFD. Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań wykazały stosunkowo dobrą jakość technologiczną i sensoryczną mięsa. Najniższą jakość technologiczną wykazywało mięso uznane za PSE, częściowo PSE i ASE. Mięso DFD charakteryzowało się najwyższą wydajnością po gotowaniu i peklowaniu, najmniejszym wyciekiem oraz najwyższą jakością sensoryczną mięsa gotowanego, która nie różnicowała go jednak istotnie od mięsa normalnego.
The objective of the study was to compare the technological and sensory value of pork meat from different quality classes. The research was performed on the meat material selected from among 390 fatteners. The following meat parameters of the fatteners were analysed: pH value, meat colour, natural drip loss, Napole technological yield (RTN), and cooking yield. Moreover, both the raw and the cooked meat samples were sensory evaluated. Based on the pH values (1h, 3h, and 24h post mortem), the meat samples were divided into five quality classes: PSE, partially PSE, acidic, normal, and partially DFD. The results of the analyses performed showed a relatively good technological and sensory quality of the meat studied. The lowest technological value had the meat described as PSE, partially PSE, and ASE. The DFD meat was characterized by the highest cooking and curing yields, the lowest drip loss, and the highest sensory quality of cooked meat, which, however, was not significantly different than that of the normal meat.

High concentration of glutamate (Glu) is excitotoxic for nervous system structures. This may lead to glial reactivity ie. increased expression of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and S100β protein, and also to hypertrophy and proliferation of cells which are determined by the presence of Ki-67 antigen. The aim of the study was to analyse the immunoreactivity of the GFAP, S100β and Ki-67 proteins in astrocytes of hippocampal CA1 region in young rats after administration of monosodium glutamate (MSG) at two doses: 2 g/kg b.w. (I group) and 4 g/kg b.w. (II group). In rats from I and II group morphologically altered astrocytes with the GFAP expression were observed in the SLM of the hippocampal CA1 region. The cells had eccentrically located nuclei and on the opposite site of the nuclei there were single or double, long and weakly branched processes. Moreover, in the SLM the increase of the number of GFAP and S100β immunopositive astrocytes and nuclei with Ki-67 expression, in contrary to control individuals, was observed. These results suggest the increased expression of the proteins in early reactions or hyperplasia which, together with cell hypertrophy, indicate late reactivity of astroglia in response to glutamate noxious effect.
