    The article is focused on the involvement of Kraków’s lodge B’nei B’rith (Solidarity) in local Jewish musical life in the interwar period. On the basis of information contained in documents preserved in State Archive in Kraków we may conclude that the activity of the most outstanding Jewish musical institutions would not have been possible without financial support of Solidarity. However, it seems to be the expectation of the lodge that all musicians and groups supported by B’nei B’rith had to derive from the environment of the progressive Jews and were also involved in the promotion of the new ‘Hebrew music’. There are no doubts that both of these features of the lodge Solidarity’s activity had a profound influence on the shape of Jewish musical life in the interwar Kraków.

    We study convergence of formal power series along families of formal or analytic vector fields. One of our results says that if a formal power series converges along a family of vector fields, then it also converges along their commutators. Using this theorem and a result of T. Morimoto, we prove analyticity of formal solutions for a class of nonlinear singular PDEs. In the proofs we use results from control theory.

    The objective of the paper is to present the issue of safety management during the construction process. Threats in the form of disturbances may occur in the preparatory phase, during the execution of the construction project and also during its operational use. The article presents the concept of applying the methodology based, among others, on Learning Bayesian Networks, Artificial Neural Networks and Support Vector Machine, which can be used for building a system for diagnostic and decision-making support at each stage of the construction process. The use of expert systems when it comes to making choices related to construction issues can bring many benefits to decision-makers, as it reduces the risk of taking a wrong decision, and, thus, increases the construction process safety.

    The effect of structural relaxation on the electronic structure of Fe$\text{}_{78}$Si$\text{}_{9}$B$\text{}_{13}$ metallic glass was investigated by means of the Hall effect, electrical conductivity and EELS methods. The effect of the structural relaxations was observed by four-hour annealing of the samples in argon atmosphere at temperatures 573, 673, 723, 773 K. The most distinct changes in the measured quantities were observed for samples annealed at 773 K. The differences in EELS spectrum, a decrease in the electrical and the Hall resistance are specific to these samples. X-ray diffractometry confirmed that the samples annealed at this temperature show recrystallization.

    Structural changes accompanying the isothermal annealing of the metallic glass Fe$\text{}_{18}$Co$\text{}_{60}$Si$\text{}_{9}$B$\text{}_{13}$ were investigated by X-ray diffraction, positron annihilation as well as by electrical resistivity and the Hall resistivity measurements. It has been found out that at the temperature of 673 K the complete crystallization did not occur, but only a few nuclei of the α-Fe phase, which did not grow, were formed.

    In this paper results of investigations of the X-ray diffraction and the electrical resistance of the metallic glass Fe$\text{}_{2}$8Co$\text{}_{50}$Si$\text{}_{9}$B$\text{}_{13}$ are presented. These investigations were performed for isothermally annealed samples during 4 hours in the temperature range from 573 to 823 K. As a result of annealing, the samples were obtained in a crystalline state. The second series of the investigations was performed for samples annealed at a constant temperature of 673 K but in different time intervals.

    We study nonlinear control systems in the plane, affine with respect to control. We introduce two sets of feedback equivariants forming a phase portrait PP and a parameterized phase portrait PPP of the system. The phase portrait PP consists of an equilibrium set E, a critical set C (parameterized, for PPP), an optimality index, a canonical foliation and a drift direction. We show that under weak generic assumptions the phase portraits determine, locally, the feedback and orbital feedback equivalence class of a system. The basic role is played by the critical set C and the critical vector field on C. We also study local classification problems for systems and their families.

    We report the observation of the size evolution of the laser light formed clusters. A cell containing sodium vapor and the buffer gas (He) under high pressure was used in the experiment. Changes of the radius and of the density of transient clusters were observed via the time evolution of the intensity of right-angle scattered light. The rate of the cluster radius growth was found to vary from 0.012 to 0.1 μm/s.

    Structural changes of Co$\text{}_{66}$Ni$\text{}_{12}$ Si$\text{}_{9}$B$\text{}_{13}$ amorphous alloy, stimulated by isochronal and isothermal annealing, were observed by means of the methods: electrical resistivity, Hall effect and X-ray diffraction. In the amorphous matrix at the temperature 673 K phasesα-Co and (Co,Ni)$\text{}_{5}$Si$\text{}_{2}$B are created, while at the temperature 773 K the phase (Co,Ni)$\text{}_{3}$B is formed. The structural phase transitions are related to abrupt decrease in electrical and Hall resistivities at the background of systematic decrease in these parameters values during the alloy transition from the amorphous to the crystalline state.

    W pracy badano wpływ składu pieczywa bezglutenowego na jego wybrane właściwości fizyczne. Przedmiotem badań było pieczywo ekstrudowane wyprodukowane na bazie kaszki kukurydzianej bez dodatków oraz pieczywo kukurydziane z dodatkiem mąki ryżowej, gryczanej oraz mąki z nasion amarantusa. Wykazano, że skład ekstrudowanej mieszanki w niewielkim stopniu wpływał na zawartość i aktywność wody uzyskanego pieczywa, jak również na współczynnik ekspansji, który wynosił średnio 152%. Dodatek mąki gryczanej spowodował istotny, prawie dwukrotny, wzrost współczynnika adsorpcji wody. Wskaźnik rozpuszczalności skrobi w wodzie wahał się w przedziale 18,56–24,57% i był najniższy w pieczywie z dodatkiem amarantusa. Pieczywo wzbogacone o dodatek mąki z amarantusa cechowało się też najniższą gęstością pozorną (0,144 g·cm–3) i najwyższą porowatością (94%). Pomiary dynamiki adsorpcji pary wodnej wykazały, że pieczywo kukurydziano-gryczane chłonie wodę najintensywniej spośród badanych. Współczynnik dyfuzji wody pieczywa wyznaczony na podstawie równania Ficka wynosił 4,12–7,02·10–9 m2·s–1 a wilgotność równowagowa wyznaczona z tego równania 18,23–24,24 gH2O·(100 g s.s.)–1.
    In this work, the effect of composition of gluten-free bread on its selected physical properties was investigated. The extruded bread of corn grits without additives, the corn crisp bread with addition of rice fl our, buckwheat fl our or amaranth fl our were evaluated. The composition of extrusion blend affected the water content and water activity to a small extent. The similar tendency was observed for expansion index (with its average value of 152%). Water solubility index of starch was in the range from 18.56 to 24.57%, the highest value of WSI was observed for amaranth-corn bread. The bread supplemented with amaranth fl our characterised the lowest apparent density (0.144 g·cm–3) and the highest porosity (94%). The measurements of the water vapour sorption dynamics showed that the moisture absorption ability of buckwheat – corn bread was more intense than observed for other breads. The moisture diffusion coeffi cient determined by solving Fick’s equation was within the range of 4.12–7.02·10–9 m2·s–1 and the equilibrium moisture content (calculated from the same equation) ranged from 18.23 to 24.24 g H2O·(100 g s.s.)–1.

    W pracy badano żele wieloowocowe stosowane jako dodatki w produkcji cukierniczej. Celem podjętych badań była próba ograniczenia procesu dyfuzji wody w produkcie. Zmodyfikowano recepturę produktu handlowego, wzbogacając jego skład o dodatek preparatów błonnika różnego pochodzenia. W pracy analizowano właściwości sorpcyjne produktu standardowego oraz próbek z dodatkiem błonnika jabłkowego, marchwiowego i pszennego w warunkach statycznych i dynamicznych. Uzyskano izotermy sorpcji III typu, według klasyfikacji Brunauera i innych [1940]. Proces desorpcji wody w warunkach dynamicznych badano w środowisku o aktywności wody zbliżonej do zera. Uzyskane krzywe kinetyczne opisano równaniem dyfuzji nieustalonej Ficka. Wyznaczono efektywny współczynnik dyfuzji wody oraz wilgotność równowagową przy nieskończenie długim czasie przechowywania produktu. Wykazano, że dodatek preparatów błonnika wpływał na właściwości sorpcyjne badanych produktów, co skutkowało obniżeniem efektywnego współczynnika dyfuzji wody oraz zmianami przebiegu izoterm sorpcji.
    Multi-fruit fillings as a component of confectionery products were investigated in this work. The aim of the investigation was to reduce the diffusion of water within the product. The original recipe of fruit fillings were enriched with the dietary fi ber of different formulations. The sorption properties of the standard product and samples with addition of fi ber (apple, carrot and wheat), were analyzed using static and dynamic methods. The experimental data fi tted well with Peleg’s equation. The obtained curves represented IIIrd type of Brunauer et al. [1940] isotherms classification. The desorption of water was tested under dynamic conditions in the environment at water activity close to zero. The obtained kinetic curves were fi tted with Fick’s equation. The effective diffusion coeffi cient of water, and the equilibrium moisture content at an infinitely long time of the product storage were calculated. It has been shown that the addition of dietary fiber preparations affected the sorption properties of the tested products which resulted in a reduction of the effective diffusion coeffi cient of water and changes in shape of the moisture sorption isotherms.
