Wireless communication is a fundamental requirement because of its low cost, high flexibility and convenience, continuing improvements in speed and connectivity, and accessibility in remote areas. One example is very small aperture terminal (VSAT) communication. A VSAT is a two-way satellite ground station operating at C-band and Ku-band frequencies, with linear and circular polarization in the C band and linear polarization in the Ku band. For the data transmitted by a satellite to be utilized by a user, the antenna on the user side must have dual-wideband and dual-polarization characteristics. In this study, a dual-polarization planar dual-wideband antenna with dimensions of 30 x 39 x 1.52 mm3 was designed using a dual-port approach. The introduction of a slot and perturbation on the patch side results in the dual-wideband characteristics of the antenna. The introduction of slots into the antenna ground results in circular polarization. The proposed antenna has resonant frequencies of 3 - 15 GHz on port 1 and 3.31 – 7.79 GHz and 9.05 – 15 GHz on port 2, with circular polarization characteristics on port 1 and linear polarization characteristics on port 2. On port 1, the gains at frequencies of 4.2 GHz is 3.93 dB, while on port 2, the gains at frequencies of 3.9 GHz is 0.51 dB.

For the modeling and evaluation of dual field-of-view (FOV) common-aperture dual-band imaging system performance, two factors must be considered at the same time. One is that the system must have a larger target acquisition range, and the other is that the detection range and recognition range of the system must be the same. In this paper, taking the dual FOV common-aperture visible/long-wave infrared (LWIR) imaging system as an example, the performance of the dual FOV common-aperture dual-band imaging system is modeled and evaluated using an imaging system performance model based on comprehensive resolution. Firstly, the target acquisition range of the dual FOV visible imaging system is analyzed, and the condition that the detection range is equal to the recognition range is obtained. Then, under the condition of common aperture, the target acquisition range and the relationship between detection range and recognition range of dual FOV LWIR imaging system are analyzed. The analysis results show that, under the condition of dual FOV and common aperture, when the detection and recognition ranges of the visible imaging system are equal, the detection and recognition ranges of the LWIR imaging system are not equal. When the detection and recognition ranges are close by reducing the comprehensive resolution, the target acquisition range of the dual FOV common-aperture dual-band imaging system will decrease.

In this note, a novel robust control design for a class of unstable systems with dual pole and dual zero is addressed. In the algorithm, αfeedback node was moved from the interior of the controlled plant to its right-hand side. Then, the closed-loop gain shaping algorithm was used to design the feedback transfer function. Consequently, controller and the controlled plant have clear physical meaning and are easily tuned. Simulation results show that the control effects are better than for the previous modification, the system can have rapid settling time with no overshoot, zero steadystate error and satisfactory robust stability to model perturbation and disturbance. The method has the advantages of simple and efficient design, and it was also successfully applied to control static unstable missile.

: Jedno z pierwszych zastosowań rentgenowskiej tomografii komputerowej w geologii miało miejsce w 1974 roku. Tomografia rentgenowska (CT) umożliwia nieinwazyjne obrazowanie badanych przedmiotów. Wynikiem pomiaru tomograficznego jest przestrzenny obraz, przedstawiający zmiany absorpcji promieniowania rentgenowskiego. Powstaje on poprzez wyliczenie, podczas procesu rekonstrukcji, wartości absorpcji dla każdego punktu badanego przedmiotu. Istotną zaletą tomografów komputerowych jest możliwość przebadania dużych obiektów (metrowych odcinków rdzenia) w bardzo krótkim czasie. Ich wadą jest natomiast względnie niska rozdzielczość pomiaru. Każdy woksel na obrazie tomograficznym ma przypisaną konkretną wartość zaczernienia proporcjonalną do liniowego współczynnika tłumienia, zależną od gęstości elektronowej i efektywnej liczby atomowej, uśrednionych w obrazowanej przestrzeni (zakres uśredniania określa rozdzielczość obrazu tomograficznego). Dysponując dwoma obrazami, zarejestrowanymi przy dwóch różnych energiach pomiaru, można podjąć próbę rozdziału obrazu na dwie składowe: pierwszą – zależną od gęstości elektronowej i drugą – zależną od efektywnej liczby atomowej. Celem opisanych prac jest pokazanie możliwości wykorzystania dwuenergetycznej tomografii komputerowej (DECT) do charakterystyki litologiczno-gęstościowej rdzeni wiertniczych. Aby wykorzystać obrazy tomograficzne do otrzymania wymienionych wielkości fizykochemicznych konieczna jest standaryzacja obrazów. W pracy przedstawiono proces wyznaczania współczynników kalibracyjnych, które są niezbędne do przeliczania wartości współczynników absorpcji, będących bezpośrednim wynikiem rekonstrukcji pomiaru tomograficznego na wartości gęstości elektronowej oraz efektywnej liczby atomowej Z. W artykule zaprezentowano proces kalibracji z wykorzystaniem wzorcowych minerałów. Wyliczone z analizy obrazów wartości próbek wzorcowych, porównano z wartościami wyznaczonymi metodami laboratoryjnymi. Przykład zastosowania wyników przedstawiono na przebadanym fragmencie obrazu rdzenia piaskowca, zawierającego szczelinę wypełniona kalcytem.
One of the first applications of X-ray computed tomography in geology took place in 1974. X-ray tomography (CT) allows non-invasive imaging of the examined objects. The result of a tomographic measurement is a spatial image, showing the changes in X-ray absorption value for each point of the examined object, which are a result of calculations during the reconstruction process. An important advantage of computer tomographs is the ability to test large objects (meter sections of the core) in a very short time, while the disadvantage is the relatively low resolution of the measurement. Each voxel in the tomographic image has a specific grey value, proportional to the linear attenuation coefficient, depending on the electron density and the effective atomic number averaged in the imaged space (the averaging range is determined by the resolution of the tomographic image). Two tomographic images registered at two different energies, allows the deconvolution of the images into two components: the first – dependent on the electron density and the second – dependent on the effective atomic number. The aim of this study is to show the possibility of using dual energy computed tomography (DECT) to litho-density characterization of rock cores. In order to use tomographic images to obtain the above-mentioned physicochemical values, it is necessary to standardize CT images. The paper presents the process of determining calibration coefficients, which are necessary to convert the values of absorption coefficients, which are a direct result of CT reconstruction, into density values and effective Z atomic number. The article presents the calibration process with the use of reference rock fragments. The values of the standard samples computed from the analysis of images were compared with the values determined by laboratory methods. An example of the application of results is presented on the examined part of the image of the sandstone core, containing a calcite-filled fracture.

The prevalent conceptual approach used to assess multiple citizenship legislation is based on analysing a set of selected elements of the relevant legal framework. This paper argues that the evolution of legal rules on dual citizenship cannot be comprehensively analysed using methods created for comparative analyses and based on a narrow selection of legal rules that reflect either a restrictive or an open approach to dual citizenship. The simplified approach that focuses on the analysis of selected fragments of explicit legislation generates results that may be misleading. Therefore, the terms of reference for comparative study of multiple citizenship should be elaborated and extended. A comprehensive comparative method also has to take into account the migration context as well as relevant aspects of the legal and political context. This article explores these issues through an analysis of Polish legal rules in the field of dual citizenship.

We transfer a renorming method of transfer, due to G. Godefroy, from weakly compactly generated Banach spaces to Vašák, i.e., weakly K-countably determined Banach spaces. Thus we obtain a new construction of a locally uniformly rotund norm on a Vašák space. A further cultivation of this method yields the new result that every dual Vašák space admits a dual locally uniformly rotund norm.

The ability of q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy sets (q-RDHFSs) in dealing with decision makers’ fuzzy evaluation information has received much attention. This main aim of this paper is to propose new aggregation operators of q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy elements and employ them in multi-attribute decision making (MADM). In order to do this, we first propose the power dual Maclaurin symmetric mean (PDMSM) operator by integrating the power geometric (PG) operator and the dual Maclaurin symmetric mean (DMSM). The PG operator can reduce or eliminate the negative influence of decision makers’ extreme evaluation values, making the final decision results more reasonable. The DMSM captures the interrelationship among multiple attributes. The PDMSM takes the advantages of both PG and DMSM and hence it is suitable and powerful to fuse decision information. Further, we extend the PDMSM operator to q-RDHFSs and propose q-rung dual hesitant fuzzy PDMSM operator and its weighted form. Properties of these operators are investigated. Afterwards, a new MADM method under q-RDHFSs is proposed on the basis on the new operators. Finally, the effectiveness of the new method is testified through numerical examples.

Artykuł przedstawia prawdopodobne ślady liczby podwójnej występujące w języku łacińskim epoki przedklasycznej. Do nich zaliczamy archaiczne formy genetiwu zakończone na -ūs lub rzadziej (po spółgłoskach labialnych) na -ō̩s (< gen. du. *-ous), pojawiające się 23 razy na inskrypcjach łacińskich z II w. p.n.e. (np. Castorus, Cererus, Diovos, hominus, nominus, partus, regus, Salutus, Venerus), a także formy dopełniacza liczby mnogiej rzeczowników trzeciej deklinacji na -ērum (np. bovērum, Iovērum, lapidērum, nāvērum, nucērum, rēgērum), oparte na nom.-acc. du. na -ē, występujące w tekstach literackich epoki archaicznej, np. bovērum ‘wołów’ (pierwotnie ‘dwóch wołów’) ← nom.-acc. du. *bovē ‘dwa woły’ ← nom. sg. bōs m. f. ‘wół, krowa’. W trakcie procesu zanikania liczby podwójnej pojawiły się gruntowne zmiany w obrębie deklinacji łacińskiej, na skutek których ukształtowała się w obrębie 3 deklinacji specyficzna odmiana dualno-pluralna z charakterystyczną cechą -ē-. Zanik liczby podwójnej odbywał się albo poprzez pluralizację form dualnych, albo poprzez ich kolektywizację i syngularyzację. Ostatecznym rezultatem tych złożonych procesów morfologicznych było uformowanie się osobnej piątej deklinacji łacińskiej.      
The paper describes the possible traces of dual number forms preserved in the Latin language of the archaic period. Certain epigraphic sources of the 2nd century BC contain a total of 23 examples of third declension genitive forms ending in -us or rarely (after labial consonants) -ō̩s (e.g. Castorus, Cererus, Diovos, hominus, nominus, partus, regus, Salutus, Venerus). We can also distinguish genitive plural forms in -ērum (e.g. bovērum, Iovērum, lapidērum, nāvērum, nucērum, rēgērum), which seem to derive from the nominative-accusative du. in *-ē, e.g. bovērum ‘of oxen’ (originally ‘of two oxen’) ← nom.-acc. du. *bovē ‘two oxen’ ← nom. sg. bōs m. f. ‘ox, cow’. The loss of the dual number in the early phase of the development of the Latin language caused massive changes in the Latin declension. Highly specific dual-plural forms of consonant stems characterised by the feature -ē- (cf. *bovē ‘two oxen’, gen. bovērum ‘of oxen’) must have existed within the third Latin declension. Old “petrified” dual forms were generally reinterpreted as plurals (i.e. nom. du. *-ē → nom. pl. -ēs) and sometimes as collectives or singulars. The latter morphological processes led to the formation of the Latin fifth declension.

It is proved that many known convergences (e.g., continuous convergence, Isbell topology, compact-open topology, point-wise convergence) on the space of continuous maps (valued in a topological space) can be represented as the dual convergences with respect to collections of families of sets, and that they can be characterized in terms of the corresponding hyperspace convergences of the inverse images of closed sets. As a result, the convergence of real-valued functions for a dual convergence implies the convergence of their sets of minima on the corresponding hyperspace.

In Old English dual personal pronouns constituted a small but significant pocket of its inflectional morphology. Their disappearance in Middle English is usually taken as evidence for their marginal and tenuous status already in the preceding centuries. They are seen as optional, poetic, and unpredictable. It is the argument of this paper on the basis of the evidence of the Old English Genesis that these claims warrant a careful revision as – at least in this one poem – there is nothing random or irregular about their use.

Next, a type of deformation with control of the domain is described and then we define suitable shape functional. In the more developed countries the use of modern technologies in the national economy is a general process allowing joint funding of a security research and development by both sources, state and private. The last one is especially involved in applications of modern technologies. One of the examples of important modern technologies being under development in many countries are dual-use technologies, which include IT technologies, sensors, effective energy sources, material science, nanotechnology, micro- and nano-electronics, photonics, biotechnology and quantum medicine. In this paper chosen technologies fulfilling the needs of the military technique and security monitoring systems, which have found their applications in the different branches of industry like power engineering, transportation, construction industry, metrology, protection of environment and the medicine, are discussed. The examples include the devices and lasers systems for different threats monitoring, which have been developed at the Military University of Technology. The research studies carried out on the analysis of various materials based on their spectroscopic characteristics: absorption, emission, dispersion, polarization and fluorescence in different mediums have led to the development of laser telemetry devices, environment monitoring devices and spatial imagery, as well as devices for medical diagnostics and therapy. Mentioned systems are composed of functional modules, which were developed to meet the real needs. These systems can be expanded further by addition of extra detectors of chemical materials and physical properties, and improving measuring functions and data transmission and processing.

Dual fuel compression ignition engine can be run on diverse fuels, both gaseous and liquid ones. Alternative fuels to the Diesel oil feature, as a rule, low cetane number and high temperature of self-ignition. Due to this, such fuels can not be ignited spontaneously and require ignition from small dose of the Diesel oil. In the dual fuel system, as the main fuel can be considered a liquid fuels, which can be supplied to the cylinder in form of vapours, or injected be to the suction manifold. Methyl and ethyl alcohols, or their esters, can be counted among future fuels. Such alcohols can be either the main fuels or small additions improving combustion of the Diesel oil. In the paper are presented test results of the SW 680 engine run on methanol and Diesel oil. Methanol was supplied to the suction manifold in form of methanol-air aerosol. Energetic fraction of the methanol amounted to 12-50%, depending on engine load. Performed tests have shown advantageous effect of the methanol on performance of the engine. One confirmed considerable growth of overall efficiency of the engine in area of higher loads (3-6%), reduction of smokiness of exhaust gases achieved as early as with small additives of the methanol (2-3 times), reduction of CO and CO2 emissions, reduction of exhaust gases temperature. Small addition of the methanol affects advantageously on combustion of the Diesel oil, shortening time if its combustion. Addition of the methanol enables maintaining effective power of the engine fuelled traditionally, and even its slight growth. Cost of adaptation to dual fuel supply with alcohol are low, and such type of fuelling can be easy implemented in already operated compression ignition engines.

Theoretical considerations and a simulation study concerning description and analysis of new autopilot structures and issues relating to conversion of guidance commands into deflections of a complex system of control surfaces aimed at minimizing the miss distance value are presented in this paper. Due to nonlinear and nonstationary nature of the phenomena associated with the guidance process, a significant role is assigned to simulation studies. A comparative analysis has been made of the guidance processes of three models of a dual-control missile, which differ in terms of formulae implemented in the control command converters.

In this paper we develop the first and second order dual sufficient optimality conditions for a nonlinear optimal control problem. Our conditions are derived from the dual Hamilton-Jacobi approach applied to the generalized problem of Bolza. We do not require neither any convexity on the data, nor that the control set U be polyhedral, nor that the control function be in the interior of U. Instead, we assume the existence of a function which satisfies a certain inequality.

In this paper, we investigate the multiple attribute decision making (MADM) problem based on the Hamacher aggregation operators with dual Pythagorean hesitant fuzzy information. Then, motivated by the ideal of Hamacher operation, we have developed some Hamacher aggregation operators for aggregating dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy information. The prominent characteristic of these proposed operators are studied. Then, we have utilized these operators to develop some approaches to solve the dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy multiple attribute decision making problems. Finally, a practical example for supplier selection in supply chain management is given to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.

Say that a cycle C almost contains a cycle C¯ if every edge except one of C¯ is an edge of C. Call a graph G strongly pancyclic if every nontriangular cycle C almost contains another cycle C¯ and every nonspanning cycle C is almost contained in another cycle C⁺. This is equivalent to requiring, in addition, that the sizes of C¯ and C⁺ differ by one from the size of C. Strongly pancyclic graphs are pancyclic and chordal, and their cycles enjoy certain interpolation and extrapolation properties with respect to almost containment. Much of this carries over from graphic to cographic matroids; the resulting 'dual-pancyclic' graphs are shown to be exactly the 3-regular dual-chordal graphs.

In this paper, we investigate the multiple attribute decision making problems based on the Bonferroni mean operators with dual Pythagorean hesitant fuzzy information. Firstly, we introduce the concept and basic operations of the dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy sets, which is a new extension of Pythagorean fuzzy sets. Then, motivated by the idea of Bonferroni mean operators, we have developed some Bonferroni mean aggregation operators for aggregating dual hesitant Pythagorean fuzzy information. The prominent characteristic of these proposed operators are studied. Przedstawiono także schemat blokowy układu napędowego oraz opisano analizy symulacyjne wykonane w czasie realizacji prac. Artykuł zawiera również opisy rozmieszczenia głównych zespołów i urządzeń w przedziale maszynowym oraz w kabinach maszynisty. Ponadto opisano charakterystyki trakcyjne lokomotywy i przedstawia podstawowe dane techniczne. W podsumowaniu artykułu nakreślono zalety stosowania lokomotywy dwunapędowej w ruchu kolejowym i potencjalne zadania przewozowe do realizacji. Opisany projekt realizowany jest w ramach Programu Operacyjnego Inteligentny Rozwój nr POIR. 01.02.00-00-0191/16-00 pt. „Platforma lokomotyw z zaawansowanymi spalinowo-elektrycznymi (wielosystemowymi) układami napędowymi”, dofinansowywanego przez Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju. Wykonawcą projektu są Pojazdy Szynowe PESA Bydgoszcz S.A. i Sieć Badawcza Łukasiewicz – Instytut Pojazdów Szynowych „TABOR” w Poznaniu.
As a part of the article the main assumptions of the project of dual-drive locomotive intended for the passenger traffic and intermodal transport, whose construction, technical and operational parameters will meet the requirements of applicable standards and regulations, are presented. The block diagram of driving system is presented and simulation analyses carrying out during realization of works is also described. The article also contains the descriptions of arrangement of main assemblies and devices in the machine room and in the driver’s cabs. Moreover, it describes the traction characteristics of locomotive and it presents the basic technical data. The advantages of using the dual-drive locomotive in the railway traffic and the potential transport tasks to be realized are outlined in the summary of this article. The described project is realized within the Operational Program Intelligent Development No. POIR. 01.02.00-00-0191/16-00 entitled „Locomotive platform with advanced diesel-electric (multi-system) driving systems”, co-funded by the National Centre for Research and Development. The contractor of the project is Pojazdy Szynowe PESA Bydgoszcz S.A. and ŁUKASIEWICZ – IPS „TABOR” in Poznań.

This article describes the relations between dual grammatical number and theology. The original thesis was: Upper Sorbian translations of the Bible contain theologically problematic uses of dual forms. The hypothesis is accompanied by an analysis of the exegesis and theology of the periscopes Gen 1, 28; Mt 20, 23; £k 2, 7; J 1, 41 and 17, 21. Application or failure to apply dual forms in the texts in question poses significant problems on the level of theology. This article contains also a suggestion of certain rules to be followed in future revisions of the existing translation of the Upper Sorbian Bible. Firstly, the use of dual grammatical number should go hand in hand with the theological perspective of the biblical texts. Secondly, in cases when the category of dual grammatical number cannot accommodate theology, the latter should be a priority.

In order to meet the operation requirements of the beam supply with multi-working conditions, multi-modes and high efficiency, a dual-mode hybrid output control method combining phase-shifting and pulse-width dual-mode modulation technology with secondary side series-parallel operation is proposed. In this paper, the structure and working mode of the new dual full-bridge topology are firstly analyzed. Secondly, the main circuit parameters are designed according to the power performance indicators, and the losses under two control modes of phase shift and pulse width are calculated. Finally, comparing the losses of these two control methods, and combining the series-parallel operation mode of the secondary side of the transformer, a dual-mode switching control method of the beam supply is designed. In order to verify the rationality of the dual-mode mixed output control method, a principle prototype with a rated capacity of 2 kW, a rated voltage of 1 800 V and a switching frequency of 50 kHz was used for verification. Experiments show the effectiveness and superiority of the dual-mode hybrid output control method.

Opis:
For determining ways of company development, ensuring the growth of profit in manufacture and sales of certain products, it has been proposed to use an algorithm of constructing a problem being inverse to primal-dual one, for minimization of the project costs. The primal and the inverse problems contribute to improving the efficiency of calculation when determining approaches for minimization of costs. This pair of problems is mutually conjugate. The proposed rigorous approach to obtaining the algorithm of constructing a dual problem is based on the following statement: a problem being inverse to a dual one is a primal (original) problem. The authors have proposed and rigorously proven the algorithm of a general approach to the construction of conjugate problem pairs. Formalization of the algorithm developed allows obtaining easily correct pairs of known dual problems. This permitted proposing and proving the truth of the algorithm of constructing a dual problem for the arbitrary form of a primal problem representation.

A detailed study about the suitable perturbation element shape and location for tunable BW dual mode microstrip filter which has circular ring resonator is presented. BW tuning is achieved by resonator geometry modification. The study explains the effect of a perturbation element on the stability of the center frequency during BW tuning. Different cases have been studied for two shapes of perturbation element; which one is a rectangular and the other is a radial. The treated cases discuss whether the perturbation element is located in the inner or in the outer circumference of the ring, and whether it is a patch or a notch. BW tuning simulation treated the case of FBW3dB increase for two and three times. The best case of perturbation element which has the best center frequency stability has been modeled, simulated, and fabricated at 2.4 GHz. Geometry modification of the filter took into account the RF MEMS modeling. The filter has an elliptic frequency response, and its FBW has been increased in five steps from 1.7% to 5%. The designed filters were evaluated experimentally and by simulation with very good agreement.

Nazwa ta dowodzi istnienia w języku starołacińskim formacji dualnej *Tempestātē ‘dwa bóstwa pogody’. Wyraz aide, poświadczony w epitafium Scypiona, syna Barbatusa, może być zinterpretowany jako potencjalna forma liczby podwójnej: *aideē (nom.-acc. du. f.) ‘dwudzielna świątynia; budynek sakralny z dwoma sanktuariami’. Liwiusz Andronik używał kilku form liczby podwójnej w łacińskim przekładzie Odysei Homera, między innymi genū (nom.-acc. du. n.) ‘dwa kolana’ (fr. 14), inque manū (acc. du. f.) ‘i do obu rąk’ (fr. 5). Nie wiadomo jednak, czy w przekładzie Andronika użycie liczby podwójnej było konsekwentne, czy opcjonalne. Newiusz wprowadzał do epickiego dzieła Bellum Punicum formy dualne, np. hōc Samnītē ‘ci dwaj Samnici’ (fr. 36). Wydaje się jednak, że poeta nie czynił tego konsekwentnie. Analiza metryczna i rzeczowa niektórych zachowanych fragmentów nie daje jednoznacznej odpowiedzi, czy u Newiusza użycie form liczby dualnej było obligatoryjne, czy wynikało ze swobodnego wyboru rzymskiego poety. W niektórych fragmentach, przekazanych przez tradycję pośrednią, łatwo mogło dojść do sekundarnej pluralizacji dawnych form dualnych.
The archaic epitaph of Lucius Cornelius Scipio (son of Barbatus), consul of 259 BC, contains the Old Latin form Tempestātēbus (in the dative), referring probably to two goddesses of weather (CIL I2 9). This theonym proves the existence in the Old Latin language of the dual formation *Tempestātē ‘two deities of weather’. The word aide, attested in the epitaph of Scipio, son of Barbatus, can be easily interpreted as a possible form of the dual number, namely *aideē (nom.-acc. du. f.) ‘a bipartite (two-sided) temple; a sacral building with two sanctuaries’. Livius Andronicus used some forms of the dual number in his Latin translation of Homer’s Odyssey, among others genū (nom.-acc. du. n.) ‘two knees’ (fr. 14), inque manū (acc. du. f.) ‘and to both hands’ (fr. 5). It is not known, however, whether the use of the dual number in Andronicus’ Odussia was consistent or optional. Naevius introduced some dual forms into the epic work of Bellum Punicum, e.g. hōc Samnītē ‘these two Samnites’ (fr. 36). It seems, however, that the poet did not do it consistently. The metrical and linguistic analysis of the preserved fragments does not give a definite answer as to whether the use of forms of the dual number was obligatory in Naevius’ work, or was the result of the free choice of the Roman poet. In some passages passed down through indirect tradition, it was easy to arrive at the secondary plurality of the old dual forms.

Extending differential operators during transition from 3D operations to prospective 4D operations imply the need to expand their 4D range far beyond the usual set-theoretical universe from which subsets of the domain are composed. The prospective infrastructural expansion related to the attempted extending of operations virtually requires an extra dual reciprocal space and thus implies presence of a certain multispatial structure of both the mathematical- and the corresponding to it physical reality. At this point the implication is only operational for it is deduced from the attempted extension of operational domain/scope of geometric differential operator, which, in turn, demands an expansion of their range. The necessary presence of an extra space is not being postulated but emerges from comparative evaluations of differential operators. The operational necessity of presence of paired dual reciprocal spaces or quasispatial structures also generalizes contravariance for multispatiality.

The article presents the tests results of the prototype design of hydraulically assisted injector that is designed for gas supply into diesel engines. The construction of the injector allows for its positioning in the glow plug socket, so that the gas is injected directly into the combustion chamber. The cycle analysis of the four-cylinder Andoria ADCR engine with a capacity of 2.6 dm3 for different crankshaft rotational speeds allowed to determine the necessary time for fuel injection. Because of that, it was possible to determine the required mass flow rate of the injector, for replacing as much of the original fuel by gaseous fuel. To ensure a high value of flow inside the injector, supply pressure equal to 1 MPa was applied. High gas supply pressure requires high value of valve opening forces. For this purpose a injector with hydraulic control system, using a liquid under pressure for the opening process was designed. On the basis of air pressure measurements in the flow line after the injector, the analysis of opening and closing of the valve was made. Measurements of outflow mass of the injector were also carried out. The results showed that the designed injector meets the requirements necessary to supply ADCR engine with CNG fuel.

Dual study possibilities in selected EU countries. The idea of dual study courses is more and more common in the EU due to the raising problem of the lack of qualified employees. Although the dual studies are very similar in their form such as internships in companies, case studies etc., their scope differs significantly among the analyzed countries. It was observed that, on average, about 70% of students take part in the vocational education and training in Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Netherlands, Slovakia and Slovenia but only 20% in Cyprus and Hungary. In countries such as: Germany, Netherlands and Austria over 40% of companies employ vocational education and training participants while the average costs of continuing vocational training for the EU-28 is calculated at the level of around 1500 Purchasing Power Standard per participant. The research was based on the data obtained from the EUROSTAT.
Możliwości studiów dualnych w wybranych krajach UE. Idea studiów dualnych staje się obecnie coraz bardziej popularna przede wszystkim ze względu na problem braku wykwalifikowanych pracowników. Studia dualne są bardzo podobne w swojej formie, uwzględniającej m.in. praktyki w przedsiębiorstwach, studia przypadków itp., jednak ich zakres różni się znacznie w analizowanych krajach. Przeprowadzona analiza wykazała, że średnio około 70% uczniów bierze udział w kształceniu i szkoleniu zawodowym w Austrii, Chorwacji, Czechach, Finlandii, Holandii, Słowacji i Słowenii, ale tylko 20% na Cyprze i Węgrzech. W krajach takich jak: Niemcy, Holandia i Austria ponad 40% firm zatrudnia uczestników kształcenia i szkolenia zawodowego, podczas gdy średnie koszty ustawicznego szkolenia zawodowego dla krajów UE-28 kształtują się na poziomie około 1500 PPS na uczestnika. Analizę przeprowadzono na danych uzyskanych z bazy EUROSTAT.

This paper questions the logic behind the presence and the working of the EPP-feature in Polish dual copula clauses (henceforth, DCCs) with the pronominal copula to, the verbal copula być ‘to be’, and two nominative 3rd person DPs, as represented in Bondaruk (2019). The criticism follows from: (i) – Chomsky’s (2000, 2001) downward Agree operation; (ii) – the view that the predicator encodes the predication relation between the pre-copular subject and the post-copular predicate; (iii) – selective multiple Agree, whereby the satisfaction of the EPP- and uφ-features is divorced. Adopting (i)–(iii), Bondaruk’s scrutiny allows either the pre- or the post-copular DP to occupy SpecTP, thereby accounting for DCCs’ agreement and configurational patterns, but, simultaneously, suffering from theoretical shortcomings it creates. We argue for a simpler satisfaction of the subject requirement which does not rely on the troublesome EPP-feature, but is motivated formally by the relation between T and the higher DP. We derive this requirement by following Zeiljstra’s (2012) upward Agree which only takes place once interpretable features c-command uninterpretable features, and Rothstein’s (2004) approach which is based on a neo-Davidsonian event semantics and which argues that be and its complement form a complex predicate, separated from the pre-copular DP both semantically and syntactically.

Opis:
The thin metal film subjected to the ultra-short laser pulse is analyzed. Heat transfer processes occurring in the domain considered are described by the dual-phase lag model in which the unknown is the heat flux, not, as usual, temperature. This approach is especially convenient in the case of Neumann boundary conditions, which are taken into account here. The mathematical model supplemented by initial conditions is solved using the explicit scheme of finite difference method. In the final part of the paper the examples of computations are shown and the conclusions are formulated.

Exhaust gases from engines of seagoing ships are the serious problem for environment. That is why the discussion in the matter is very important. One of means to minimise harmful substances emission to earth atmosphere is application of „ecological fuel" — natural gas or nuclear energy for ship propulsion. Natural gas is commonly used in onshore applications but is rarely applied in marine propulsion. Heavy Fuel Oil is the basic brand of fuel used onboard ofseagoing ships. Other kinds of fuel e.g. Diesel Oil or gas Oil are used on smaller ships with limited sailing range. The nuclear energy, due to high costs is used only on few types of warships and some icebreakers. A real means for minimising harmful substances in exhaust gases from ships engines is replacement of Heavy Fuel Oil by Natural gas. Nowadays, heavy oil is commonly used due to technical and logistic abilities and conservative attitude of ship owners. The necessity of improvement in the field of environment protection inclines towards wide application of Natural gas as marine fuel. Application power-plant novel type would break the traditionalism in the shipbuilding and the introduction novel generation ofshipping drives.

The paper presents results of studies on the dual fuel engine equipped with the Common Rail high pressure injection system and low pressure natural gas injection into the inlet collector. Impact of some regulation parameters of the feed system on the engine performance parameters was examined. Research of the pilot dose selection showed that the minimal size of the dose was limited to ca 12+13% of the nominal dose. It is a result of some troubles of the electromagnetic injector operation at short times of control. The effect of that is a notable deterioration of smoothness of the engine operation. However, electronic control of the injector opening timing enables to reduce the pilot dose size as the engine load is reduced. The research showed advantageous impact of the decreasing dose on the engine efficiency and exhaust gas toxicity at partial loads of the engine. The tests reconfirmed full usefulness of the system to combustion process optimization. A delay of the injection start at high engine loads enables to reduce nearly twice the NOx concentration in exhaust gas with insignificant decreasing, some 1+1.5%, of its efficiency. The used systems showed their high suitability to control charge quality in dual fuel engines, in traction applications in particular.

In this paper a new approach is explained for solving intuitionistic dual fuzzy fractional nonlinear equations. Here we have suggested a numerical method for solving a dual fuzzy nonlinear fractional equations instead of standard analytical techniques which are not suitable everywhere. Initially we wrote a dual fuzzy non-linear fractional equations in parametric form and then solve it by iterative method. An illustrative example is given to show the efficiency of our approach.

We study dual integral equations associated with Hankel transforms, that is, dual integral equations of Titchmarsh's type. We reformulate these equations giving a better description in terms of continuous operators on $L^p$ spaces, and we solve them in these spaces. The solution is given both as an operator described in terms of integrals and as a series $∑_{n=0}^{∞} c_n J_{μ+2n+1}$ which converges in the $L^p$-norm and almost everywhere, where $J_ν$ denotes the Bessel function of order ν. Finally, we study the uniqueness of the solution.

Cost-efficient, enabling technologies for keeping and increasing the reservoir recovery rate of oil-formations with high water cut of produced fluids and exhausted resource are really essential. One of the easiest but short-term ways to increase oil production and incomes at development of oil deposits is cost of development and capital cost reduction. Therefore, optimal choice and proper feasibility study on the facilities for multilayer oil fields development, especially at the late stage of reservoir working, is a crucial issue for now-day oil industry. Currently, the main oil pools do not reach the design point of coefficient of oil recovery. The basic feature of the late stage of reservoir working is the progressing man-made impact on productive reservoir because of water injection increasing for maintaining reservoir pressure. Hence cost-efficient, enabling technologies for keeping and increasing the reservoir recovery rate of oil-formations with high water cut of produced fluids and exhausted resource are really essential. To address the above concerns the dual completion petroleum production engineering was proposed. The intensity of dual completion of formation with of different permeability is determined by rational choice of each of them. The neglect of this principle results a disproportionately rate of highly permeable formations development for the time. In effect the permeability of the formations or their flow rate is decreasing. The problem is aggravated by lack of awareness of mechanics of layers' mutual interference in producers and injectors. Dual completion experience in Russian has shown, that success and efficiency of the technology in many respects depend on engineering support. One of the sufficient criteria for the choice of operational objects should be maximal involvement of oil-saturated layers by oil displacement from seams over the economic life of well producing oil. If it is about getting high rate of oil recovery for irregular formations there is no alternative to dual completion and production. The recommended dual completion petroleum production technology enables development several formations by single well at the time. The dual completion petroleum production technology has been more important than ever because it is right not only for formations but for thin layers with undeveloped remaining reserves.

The economic, cultural, and social transformation, growth of women's economic strength as well as the level of their education, and development of ideas of equal rights of women and men on the labour market and in social life cause changes in gender relation in the family. Poles more and more often declare and support egalitarian family, and a new model of a family appears among existing ones – dual-career family. The main aim of the article is to consider the sources of its rise, description of gender positions in marital relation, the division of tasks and responsibilities, possible dilemmas and conflicts, but also emotional, intellectual and social advantages. The analysis were put into context of changes in defining and describing family, and also in context of different family discourses. One of them was underlined the most – egalitarian one as the most approximate to the way of defining and understanding dual-career family model.

The paper is a presentation of an analysis concerning performance of a 12/8 dual-channel switched reluctance motor (DCSRM). Formulas constituting a base for a non-linear mathematical model of DCSRM are presented. Simulation and laboratory tests were carried out for the motor operating in the dual-channel and single-channel mode. The results of the field theory-based calculations are presented in the form of fluxes in individual phases expressed as functions of currents and a rotor position angle. The results of the computer simulations are shown as the static characteristics of fluxes and the torque as well as voltage, current, and torque waveforms. The results of the laboratory tests are also presented.

A protein kinase of 57 kDa, able to phosphorylate tyrosine in synthetic substrates pol(Glu4,Tyr1) and a fragment of Src tyrosine kinase, was isolated and partly purified from maize seedlings (Zea mays). The protein kinase was able to phosphorylate exogenous proteins: enolase, caseins, histones and myelin basic protein. Amino acid analysis of phosphorylated casein and enolase, as well as of phosphorylated endogenous proteins, showed that both Tyr and Ser residues were phosphorylated. Phosphotyrosine was also immunodetected in the 57 kDa protein fraction. In the protein fraction there are present 57 kDa protein kinase and enolase. This co-purification suggests that enolase can be an endogenous substrate of the kinase. The two proteins could be resolved by two-dimensional electrophoresis. Specific inhibitors of typical protein-tyrosine kinases had essentially no effect on the activity of the maize enzyme. Staurosporine, a nonspecific inhibitor of protein kinases, effectively inhibited the 57 kDa protein kinase. Also, poly L-lysine and heparin inhibited tyrosine phosphorylation by 57 kDa maize protein kinase. The substrate and inhibitor specificities of the 57 kDa maize protein kinase phosphorylating tyrosine indicate that it is a novel plant dual-specificity protein kinase.

This paper presents a low multiplicative complexity fully parallel algorithm for multiplying two dual quaternions. The “pen-and-paper” multiplication of two dual quaternions requires 64 real multiplications and 56 real additions. More effective solutions still do not exist. We show how to compute a product of two dual quaternions with 24 real multiplications and 64 real additions. During synthesis of the discussed algorithm we use the fact that the product of two dual quaternions can be represented as a matrix–vector product. The matrix multiplicand that participates in the product calculating has unique structural properties that allow performing its advantageous factorization. Namely this factorization leads to significant reducing of the multiplicative complexity of dual quaternion multiplication. We show that by using this approach, the computational process of calculating dual quaternion product can be structured so that eventually requires only half the number of multipliers compared to the direct implementation of matrix-vector multiplication.

At the moment, there is a growing interest in low-power generating units in dispersed system. The production of energy in small units located in the vicinity of the energy recipients offers considerable benefits. First and foremost, it lowers the cost of energy production and the cost of its transfer and also makes the recipient independent from the domestic supplier. Small cogeneration aggregates will facilitate the use of energy from dispersed renewable resources. Gas self-ignition engines in cogeneration system powered with biofuels can be used in construction industry as ecological sources of heat and electrical energy, limiting the need for fossil fuels. This paper presents the possibility of using alternative fuels for internal combustion engines. It describes the possibility of using liquid biofuels separately or natural gas fuel to power diesel engines in dual fuel system. The conception of supplying low-power generator with diesel engine with natural gas to a dose of liquid biofuels test case. Pointed to the factors determining the desirability of a particular concept. Indicated the modification of the engine power to supply the natural gas generator with a dose of liquid biofuels. New technologies of extracting and using biofuels and alternative fuels are being introduced and developed for generating heat and electric energy. Studies on the use of gas and liquid alternative fuels are directly linked to research on the production of renewable and alternative energy as well as environment protection by minimizing emissions of toxic substances into the atmosphere.

Today, more and more attention is paid to search for alternative fuels, which would be not only environmentally friendly, but also cost-competitive to petroleum fuels. In the recent years much attention is paid to investigations at adaptation of combustion engine to run on bio-fuels. Results of the investigations show, that methyl and ethyl alcohols could belong to one from the most promising and future bio-fuels, being a serious alternative to petroleum fuels. Interest in these fuels comprises such areas as exploration of raw materials to production of the alcohols, development of technology of their production, especially 2nd generation of ethyl alcohol, special fuelling and control systems, design changes of the engines fuelled with alcohols. In the present paper are shown test results of Fiat 1.3 Multipoint engine fuelled in dual fuel system with methanol and gasoline. In this engine one assembled prototype fuel supply system with duplex injectors on each cylinder, to injection of methanol and gasoline. Implemented system enables fuelling with gasoline only, with methanol only, or simultaneously with gasoline and methanol with any fraction of the methanol. Change of fuelling system and change of methanol fraction can be accomplished in course of engine operation. Performed investigations showed advantageous effect of the methanol on toxicity of exhaust gases. One confirmed reduction of emissions of hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxide and carbon dioxide. The biggest changes in the concentration occurred in case of fuelling with the methanol only, and amounted to: 2-3 times reduction of the THC, reduction of NOx with 40-60%. Differences in concentration of NOx increased together with growth of engine load, and hence, they concern such areas of engine operation, where the biggest quantities of the NOx are emitted. In case of dual fuel feeding, effect of reduction of concentration of the components discussed here decreases according to reduced fraction of the methanol. Changes in the emissions discussed here are obtained with maintained engine performance and growth of overall efficiency of the engine. Implemented system eliminates problems of stratification of methanol-gasoline mixture in low temperatures and in presence of water. The system can be adapted to any liquid fuels.

Opis:
The article substantiates the necessity of introducing the dual education elements into professional training of future specialists. They are listed. As a result of the SWOT analysis for the following process it was defined its strengths (VET regulation by principles of a market economy, increased demand in the labour market for dual education graduates, VET quality corresponded to employers’ requirements; close cooperation between government and business-sector for VET issues; mutually beneficial VET for the state, enterprises and VET institutions; increasing students’ motivation to learning; increasing the prestige of VET) and weak (lack of legal support for dual form of education; imperfection and obsolescence of the material and technical base of P(V)E institutions; insufficient readiness of teachers to introduce dual form of education; the difficulty of finding appropriate enterprises and setting agreements with employers; employers’ reluctance to enter into agreements with students at the beginning of their training; significant time and financial costs for updating the technological park of P(V)E institution ; the need for special psychological and pedagogical training of mentors, instructors – production workers; imperfection of mechanisms for implementing multichannel financing of VET). The questions concerning the dual education system in Ukraine were studied by scientists: N. Abashkina, V. Anischenko, I. Boychevska, T. Kozak, N. Nychkalo, V. Radkevych and others. It is shown that the dual form of education can be a tool for providing education for the sustainable development of society. The features of the dual form of education in Ukraine are analyzed: strengthening the practical component of VET; intellectualization and individualization of VET; the implementation of VET in a real production environment; development of social partnership in VET institution; conformity of VET in VET institution with the regional infrastructure; mentor system introduction; creating innovative educational and production environment for VET. The organizational basis for VET education introduction in P(V)E institutions is given to ensure sustainable the development of society.

Many dual frame estimators have been proposed in the statistics literature. Some of these estimators are theoretically optimal but hard to apply in practice, whereas others are applicable but have larger variances than the first group. In this paper, a Joint Calibration Estimator (JCE) is proposed that is simple to apply in practice and meets many desirable properties for dual frame estimators. The JCE is asymptotically design unbiased conditional on the strong relationship between the estimation variable and the auxiliary variables employed in the calibration. The JCE achieves better performance when the auxiliary variables can fully explain the variability in the study variables or at least when the auxiliary variables are strong correlates of the estimation variables. As opposed to the standard dual frame estimators, the JCE does not require domain membership information. Even if included in the JCE auxiliary variables, the effect of the randomly misclassified domains does not exceed the random measurement error effect. Therefore, the JCE tends to be robust for the misclassified domains if included in the auxiliary variables. Meanwhile, the misclassified domains can significantly affect the unbiasedness of the standard dual frame estimators as proved theoretically and empirically in this paper.

Dual Layer Theory of Moral Self
Opis:
Two major strategies (the top-down and bottom-up strategies) are currently discussed in robot ethics for moral integration. I will argue that both strategies are not sufficient. Instead, I agree with Bertram F. Malle and Matthias Scheutz that robots need to be equipped with moral competence if we don’t want them to be a potential risk in society, causing harm, social problems or conflicts. However, I claim that we should not define moral competence merely as a result of different “elements” or “components” we can randomly change. My suggestion is to follow Georg Lind’s dual aspect dual layer theory of moral self that provides a broader perspective and another vocabulary for the discussion in robot ethics. According to Lind, moral competence is only one aspect of moral behavior that we cannot separate from its second aspect: moral orientation. As a result, the thesis of this paper is that integrating morality into robots has to include moral orientation and moral competence.

Opis:
Calibration is necessary for dual manipulator to complete operational tasks. This paper proposes an effective robot-robot and hand-eye calibration method based on virtual constraints. Firstly, a rotational error model and a translational error model are established based on the relationships between the transformation matrices of the dual manipulator calibration system. Then a poses-alignment method is designed to make the poses of the two robots satisfy the constructed virtual constraints. At the aligned positions, the joint angles of the two robots are saved and used to calculate the values of the variables in the error models. Finally, the robot-robot and hand-eye rotational errors are estimated by an iterative algorithm. These errors are then used to calculate translational errors based on the SVD (singular value decomposition) method. To show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method, experiments of robot-robot and hand-eye calibration for dual manipulators are performed. The experiment results demonstrate that the accuracy of the dual manipulator system is improved greatly.
