Opis:: This paper investigated the fracture behaviour of a piezo-electro-magneto-elastic material subjected to electro-magneto-mechanical loads. The PEMO-elastic medium contains a straight-line crack which is parallel to its poling direction and loaded surface of the half-space. Fourier transform technique is used to reduce the problem to the solution of one Fredholm integral equation. This equation is solved exactly. The semi-permeable crack-face magneto-electric boundary conditions are utilized. Field intensity factors of stress, electric displacement, magnetic induction, crack displacement, electric and magnetic potentials, and the energy release rate are determined. The electric displacement and magnetic induction of crack interior are discussed. Strong coupling between stress and electric and magnetic field near the crack tips has been found.

Opis:: This elaboration considers the crack problems for infinite thermoelastic solids subjected to steady temperature or heat flux. The crack faces are assumed to be insulated. Green's functions are obtained for the thermal stress intensity factors of modes I and II. The Green's functions are defined as a solution to the problem of a thermoelastic transversely isotropic solid with a penny-shaped or an external crack under general axisymmetric thermal loadings acting along a circumference on the plane parallel to the crack plane.
W pracy rozpatrzono zagadnienia szczeliny dla nieograniczonego termosprężystego ciała stałego poddanego działaniu ustalonej temperatury lub strumienia ciepła. Założono, że powierzchnie szczeliny są termicznie izolowane. Otrzymano funkcje Greena dla współczynników intensywności naprężenia typów I i II. Funkcje Greena zdefiniowano jako rozwiązanie zagadnienia termosprężystego, poprzecznie izotropowego ciała z kołową lub zewnętrzną szczeliną, gdy na płaszczyźnie równoległej do płaszczyzny szczeliny działają dowolne osiowo symetryczne termiczne obciążenia w postaci ustalonej temperatury lub strumiania ciepła, rozłożonego na okręgu.

Opis:: Green’s functions for a multifield material subjected to a point heat source are presented in an explicit analytical form. The study concerns the steady-state thermal loading infi- nite region, half-space region and two-constituent magneto-electro-thermo-elastic material region. The new mono-harmonic potential functions, obtained by the author, are used in the analysis. The elastic displacement, electric potential, magnetic potential and induced by those coupled multifield physical quantities, caused by internal or external heat sources, are limited and presented in a very useful form, exactly and explicitly.

Opis:: The problem of a crack in a piezomagnetic material under magneto-mechanical loading is considered. The exact solution, obtained in this work, includes the unknown a priori normal component of the magnetic induction vector inside the crack. Several different physical assumptions associated with limited magnetic permeability of the crack are utilized to determine those unknown magnetic inductions through the crack boundaries. Analytical formulae for the stress and magnetic induction in- tensity factors are derived. The effects of magnetic boundary conditions (limited permeability) at the crack surface on the basic parameters of fracture mechanics are analysed and some features of the solution are discussed. If the permeability of the medium inside the crack tends to zero or is very large, extreme results i.e. impermeable or permeable crack solutions are obtained.
Rozpatrzono zagadnienie szczeliny w materiale piezomagnetycznym przy obciążeniu mechanicznym i magnetycznym. Dokładne rozwiązanie, otrzymane w tej pracy, zawiera nieznaną a priori normalną składową magnetycznej indukcji wewnątrz szczeliny. Fizyczne założenia, odnoszące się do ograniczonej magnetycznej przenikalności ośrodka wypełniającego szczelinę oraz magnetycznych warunków na brzegu szczeliny, prowadzą do wyznaczenia tej magnetycznej indukcji. Otrzymano analityczne wzory określające naprężeniowe i magnetyczne współczynniki intensywności typu I. Zbadano wpływ magnetycznych warunków brzegowych na brzegu szczeliny na parametry mechaniki pękania i przedyskutowano pewne własności rozwiązań. Nieprzepuszczalny i przepuszczalny model szczeliny otrzymuje się jako przypadki graniczne. W pierwszym modelu uproszczonym indukcja magnetyczna w szczelinie jest zawsze równa ze- ru. W drugim modelu otrzymuje się różne wartości magnetycznej indukcji wewnątrz szczeliny, a tym samym współczynnika intensywności magnetycznej indukcji. Zależy to od warunków, jakie przyjmuje się na powierzchni szczeliny dla określenia w ośrodku szczeliny składowej wektora natężenia pola magnetycznego prostopadłej do jej brzegów.

Opis:: This paper is concerned with an orthotropic thin plate containing a crack perpendicular to its surfaces. It is assumed that the transient thermal stress is set up by the application of a heat flux as a function of time and position along the crack edge and the heat flow by convection from the plate surfaces. The exact analytical solutions for the stress intensity factor and crack-opening displacement are derived. Numerical examples show, among others, a dependence of the stress intensity factor on the thermal and elastic constants of the orthotropic material.
Rozpatrzono zagadnienie ortotropowej cienkiej płyty zawierającej szczelinę prostopadłą do jej brzegów. Założono, że nieustalone naprężenia termiczne powstają w wyniku przepływu przez powierzchnie szczeliny strumienia ciepła będącego funkcją czasu, miejsca i konwekcyjnego przepływu ciepła przez powierzchnie płyty. Znaleziono ścisłe, analityczne rozwiązanie określające współczynnik intensywności naprężeń i rozwarcie szczeliny. Przykłady numeryczne pokazują zależności temperatury, naprężeń i współczynnika intensywności naprężenia od parametrów geometrycznych i stałych określających własności termiczne i sprężyste materiału.

Opis:: The solution for a multifield material subjected to temperature loading in a circular region is presented in an explicit analytical form. The study concerns the steady – state thermal loading infinite region (heated embedded inclusion), half – space region and two – constituent magneto – electro – thermo – elastic material region. The new mono – harmonic potential functions, obtained by the author, are used in the analysis of punch problem. The more interested case in which the contact region is annular is analyzed. By using the methods of triple integraf equations and series solution technique the solution for an indentured multifield substrate over an annular contact region is given. The sensitivity analysis of obtained indentation parameters shows some interesting points. In particular, it shows that the increasing of the applied electric and magnetic potentials reduces the indentation depth in multifield materials.

Opis:: Within the theory of linear magnetoelectroelasticity, the fracture analysis of a magneto - electrically dielectric crack embedded in a magnetoelectroelastic layer is investigated. The prescribed displacement, electric potential and magnetic potential boundary conditions on the layer surfaces are adopted. Applying the Hankel transform technique, the boundary - value problem is reduced to solving three coupling Fredholm integral equations of second kind. These equations are solved exactly. The corresponding semi - permeable crack - face magnetoelectric boundary conditions are adopted and the electric displacement and magnetic induction of crack interior are obtained explicitly. This field inside the crack is dependent on the material properties, applied loadings, the dielectric permittivity and magnetic permeability of crack interior, and the ratio of the crack length and the layer thickness. Field intensity factors are obtained as explicit expressions.

Opis:: The magnetoelectroelastic analysis of two bonded dissimilar piezo-electro-magneto-elastic ceramics with a crack perpendicular to and terminating at the interface is made. By using the Fourier integral transform (in perpendicular directions in each materials), the mixed boundary conditions and continuity conditions are transformed to a singular integral equation with generalized Cauchy kernel, the solution of which has been well studied, and classical methods are directly applicable here to obtain the closed form solution. The results are presented for a permeable crack under anti-plane shear loading and in-plane electric and magnetic loadings, as prescribed electric displacement and magnetic inductions or electric and magnetic fields. The results indicate that the magnetoelectroelastic field near the crack tip in the homogeneous PEMO- elastic ceramic is dominated by a traditional inverse square-root singularity, while the coupled field near the crack tip at the interface exhibits the singularity of the power law r--α , r being the distance from the interface crack tip and α depending on the material constants of a bimaterial. In particular, electric and magnetic fields have no singularity at the crack tip in a homogeneous solid, whereas they are singular around the interface crack tip. Numerical results are given graphically to show the effects of the material properties on the singularity order, field intensity factors and energy release rates. The results presented in this paper should have potential applications to the design of multilayered magnetoelectroelastic structures.

Zaakcentowano szczególne znaczenie norm oraz dokumentów standaryzacyjnych NATO, pod kątem ich wykorzystania w obszarze eksploatacji techniki wojskowej. Podkreślono rolę jednostek badawczo-rozwojowych i wdrożeniowych w procesie funkcjonowania i doskonalenia systemu oraz zwrócono uwagę na korzyści płynące z tego rodzaju działalności. Odniesiono się do wybranych aspektów europejskiego podejścia oraz hierarchii stosowania dokumentów normalizacyjnych w eksploatacji techniki wojskowej.
The article deals with a need to apply standardisation environment of using (exploitation) armament and military equipment. The reference is made to the most important legal and organisational aspects concerning needs for applying standardisation requirements and particularly their connection and impact into proper operation of exploitation system for armament and military equipment. Special meaning of NATO standards and standardisation documents used in exploitation of armament and military equipment is stressed. The significance of research and development and implementa-tion institutions in the process of functioning and improvement of the system is highlighted together with real benefits of such approach. There is also made a reference to the European approach and a way of using the standardisation documents in the process of exploitation of military technique.

Zwrócono uwagę na rosnące zainteresowanie systemu normalizacji powszechnej obszarami mającymi wpływ na obronność, bezpieczeństwo powszechne, a także na ochronę ludności i mienia. Artykuł skierowany jest do czytelnika nie związanego bezpośrednio z działalnością normalizacyjną i ma na celu przybliżenie tego rodzaju działalności, zwłaszcza w obszarze najważniejszych zasad i uregulowań występujących w systemie cywilnym i wojskowym. W tym względzie Autorzy żywią nadzieję, że niniejszy artykuł chociaż trochę wyjaśni jego czytelnikom, na czym polega problematyka związana z normalizacją i jaka jest jej rola w obecnych i przyszłych uwarunkowaniach polityczno-militarnych, tak w wymiarze sojuszniczym, resortowym, krajowym, jak i po części w europejskim. Artykuł może być przydatny w procesie doskonalenia zadań podejmowanych na rzecz lepszego wykorzystania doświadczeń i produktów normalizacji obronnej np. w procesie standaryzacji wyrobów nabywanych na rzecz obronności i bezpieczeństwa państwa lub szkolenia z tego zakresu.
The article presents the general organization and activities of national, departmental, European and NATO standardization system. It also presents characteristics of tasks carried out in the area of defense and security, in the new formal, legal and organizational conditions, indicating the most important issues – according to the authors – on which the efficiency of the entire system may depend. Attention is drawn to the increasing interest of the general standardization system in fields affecting defence, general security and the protection of people and property. The article is addressed to the reader not directly related to standardization activities and its purpose is to approximate this kind of activity, especially in the area of the most important rules and regulations appearing in the civil and military systems. In this regard, the authors hope that the article will explain to the readers at least a little of what the issues related to standardization are all about, and what is its role in the present and future political and military conditions, both in the Allied, departmental, national and partially Eurpean scopes. The article can be useful in the process of improving the tasks undertaken in order to make better use of the experiences and products of defence standardization, e.g. in the process of standardization of products purchased for State defence and security or training in this field.

Opis:: A moduli perturbation method is to used to construct the solution for the contact stiffness in the inclusion problem of a composite laminate under a state of torsional deformation. The inclusion is considered to be embedded at the interface of the laminate. The following solutions have been obtained: (i) the exact solution for the inclusion in a medium consisting of two layers and two half- spaces, (ii) a first-order accurate solution for a layered medium consisting of (n+m) constituents, (iii) an approximative solution for a physically inhomogeneous medium as the limiting case of the layered medium.
Zagadnienia miedzypowierzchniowej inkluzji w ośrodkach warstwowych. Za pomocą metody perturbacji modułów znaleziono rozwiązania określające kontaktową sztywność w zagadnieniach inkluzji umieszczonej na powierzchni "sklejenia" warstwowego kompozytu będącego w stanie skrętnej deformacji. Otrzymano następujące rozwiązania: (i) dokładne rozwiązanie dla inkluzji w ośrodku składającym się z dwóch warstw i dwóch półprzestrzeni, (ii) rozwiązanie o dokładności pierwszego rzędu dla ośrodka (n+m)- warstwowego, (iii) przybliżone rozwiązanie dla ośrodka fizycznie niejednorodnego z modułami ścinania zmieniającymi się w sposób ciągły, otrzymane jako przejście graniczne w rozwiązaniu dla ośrodka warstwowego.

Opis:: A solution to the contact pressure problem, bending moments and displacements of an axisymmetrically loaded thick annular transversely isotropic plate resting without friction on a transversely or granular half-space is presented in the paper. No singularity occurs in the contact pressure because the extensional deformation of the plate is taken into consideration. An approximate solution to the resulting integral equation is obtained using an effective numerical procedure. To assess the effects of anisotropy of the plate response, numerical results are obtained for three materials: magnesium which is nearly isotropic; cadmium, which is moderately anisotropic; and graphite epoxy, which is highly anisotropic and the supporting half-space is modelled as granular material, like soil. The results are presented graphically.

Otrzymano wzory dla naprężeń kontaktowych, momentów zginających i przemieszczeń osiowo symetrycznie obciążonej pierścieniowej płyty poprzecznie izotropowej, która kontaktuje się bez tarcia z poprzecznie izotropowym lub ziarnistym podłożem. Naprężenia kontaktowe nie wykazują osobliwości, dzięki temu, że uwzględniono odkształcenia wywołane ściskaniem płyty. Równanie całkowe zagadnienia rozwiązano w sposób przybliżony za pomocą efektywnego numerycznego algorytmu. Wyniki przedstawiono na wykresach.

Opis:: W artykule zawarto krótką charakterystykę międzynarodowej strategii normalizacyjnej i planowanych zamierzeń w obszarze normalizacji, z perspektywą do 2020r. Odniesiono się także do najważniejszych kierunków doskonalenia tej działalności z poziomu organizatorów systemu, realizatorów prac normalizacyjnych oraz konsumentów produktów tej działalności. Wyspecyfikowano wymienione w strategii najważniejsze obszary wskazane do doskonalenia lub zorganizowania, w celu osiągnięcia założonych celów w perspektywie 2020 r. Zaakcentowano elementy nowego podejścia wykorzystanego w pracach nad strategią, zwłaszcza wykorzystania elementów analizy ryzyka. W podsumowaniu wskazano na istotne znaczenie normalizacji międzynarodowej w różnych dziedzinach życia społecznego i gospodarczego, także w aspekcie możliwości wykorzystywania produktów tej działalności na rzecz obronności i bezpieczeństwa państwa. Podkreślono także potrzebę i korzyści z angażowania się w działalność normalizacyjną, jako źródło dostępu do informacji, rynków zbytu i edukacji.
The article contains a brief description of the international standardization strategy and planned objectives with a view to 2020. References are also made to the most important directions of improving this activity on the level of system organizers, standardization work contractors and the consumers of this activity products. The most important areas mentioned in the strategy and meant for improvement or organization in order to achieve the pursued objectives by 2020 have been specified. The elements of the new approach used in the preparation of the strategy, especially the elements of risk analysis, have been stressed. In the summary, the vital importance of international standardization in various areas of social and economic life has been indicated, also in terms of the possibility to use the products of these activities for State defence and security. The needs and benefits of engagement in standardization activities as a source of access to information, markets and education are also highlighted.

Odniesiono się także do najistotniejszych aspektów współpracy Polskiego Komitetu Normalizacyjnego w ww. dziedzinach, w ramach europejskich i międzynarodowych organizacji normalizacyjnych. Na końcu artykułu, wymieniono i scharakteryzowano godne uwagi normy i ich projekty, które mogą znaleźć się w kręgu zainteresowania osób bezpośrednio lub pośrednio związanych z dziedzinami działalności logistycznej.
The article includes a brief description of standardization activities for transport, storage and packaging at national, the European and international levels. The use of standards as a core product of standardization activities in the above-mentioned fields of logistics operations and also in terms of exploitation of ordnance is presented. Reference is also made to the most important aspects of cooperation of the Polish Committee for Standardization in the above areas with the European and international standardization organizations. In the final part of the article there are listed and characterized important standards and their projects, which may be interested for persons directly or indirectly related to the areas of logistics activities.
