Artykuł podejmuje zagadnienia w ostatnim czasie bardzo żywo dyskutowane i ważne dla środowiska ludzi zajmujących się ochroną szeroko pojmowanego dziedzictwa. Po porządkującym przypomnieniu podstawowych pojęć oraz współczesnej teorii konserwacji-restauracji omawia kwestie wartościowania jako podstawy i warunku prawidłowego planowania prac. Autorka przedstawia doświadczenia z kartą zabytku jako narzędziem umożliwiającym porządkowanie procesu wartościowania, a zarazem prezentowanie jego wyników w formie syntezy czytelnej nie tylko dla specjalistów. Drugą część artykułu stanowią rozważania nad zagadnieniem przydatności dla pielęgnacji zabytkowych parków i ich konserwacji Siedmiu zasad konserwatorskich – „drogowskazów” wypracowanych na potrzeby konserwacji-restauracji dzieł sztuki.
This article focuses on issues that are widely discussed in recent times and important for the specialists who deal with the preservation of broadly understood heritage. After providing an ordering reminder of basic terms and contemporary theory of conservation and restoration, the article discusses the issues of evaluation as the basis and condition for correct planning of works. The author presents experimental studies with the ‘monument record sheet’ as a tool allowing the ordering of the valuation process and showing its results in a form of synthesis that is intelligible not only for specialists. The second part of the article includes considerations regarding the issue of usefulness of the Seven Principles of Conservation – guidelines elaborated for the purpose of conservation and restoration of fine arts – while maintaining and restoring historic parks.

Na przykładzie prac przeprowadzonych w Kościele NMP na Zamku Wyższym w Malborku szczegółowo opisano możliwości i efekty metody w odniesieniu do badań architektonicznych obiektów zabytkowych. Badania termowizyjne pozwoliły także dokonać wizualizacji wątku ceglanego lub kamiennego ukrytego pod tynkiem w średniowiecznym Kościele Św. Małgorzaty na Górze Św. Małgorzaty k/ Łodzi.
In the article, the general principles of thermovision measurements were presented for architecture monuments applications. Exemplary investigations in the Church of Saint Virgin Mary in High Castle in Malbork were described showing the potentialities of this method for investigating architecture monuments. The thermovision surveys confirmed the possibilities of visualization the brick and stone structure under the plaster in the mediaeval church in Saint Margaret Mountain close to Lodz. Two different thermographic approaches were presented with use passive and active thermovision methods. The last one is based on heating the object and measurement the temperature change.

Opis:
In line with the ideas of sustainable development contained in the UN resolution "Transforming our world: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development", the key objectives to be achieved by 2030 include: ensuring universal access to green spaces and public spaces that are safe for all and inclusive, while at the same time strengthening efforts to protect cultural and natural heritage. The article presents, using selected examples of historic parks, gardens and landscapes, how these goals are being realised. The subjects of the study were in particular: The Garden of Versailles, Stonehenge and the cultural landscape surrounding this monument, managed by English Heritage and Historic England's policy of making historic parks, gardens and landscapes accessible. The analysis of the strategies for making historic green spaces and cultural landscapes accessible to people with special needs, developed by the institutions mentioned above, has allowed to conclude the article with proposals of general principles for an inclusive policy towards this group of monuments.
Zgodnie z ideami zrównoważonego rozwoju zawartymi w rezolucji ONZ "Przekształcamy świat: Agenda 2030 na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju" do kluczowych celów, jakich osiągnięcie założono do 2030 r., należą między innymi: zapewnienie powszechnego dostępu do bezpiecznych dla wszystkich i inkluzywnych terenów zieleni oraz przestrzeni publicznych, a jednocześnie wzmocnienie wysiłków na rzecz ochrony dziedzictwa kulturowego i przyrodniczego. W artykule przedstawiono, na wybranych przykładach zabytkowych parków, ogrodów oraz krajobrazów, jak cele te są realizowane. Przedmiotem badań były w szczególności: Ogród Wersalski, Stonehenge i krajobraz kulturowy otaczający ten zabytek, zarządzany przez English Heritage, a także polityka udostępniania zabytkowych, parków, ogrodów i krajobrazów, realizowana przez Historic England. Analiza strategii udostępniania zabytkowych terenów zieleni i krajobrazów kulturowych osobom ze szczególnymi potrzebami, wypracowanych przez wymienione powyżej instytucje, pozwoliła na sformułowanie w podsumowaniu artykułu propozycji ogólnych założeń inkluzywnej polityki względem tej grupy zabytków.

Lubuskie należy do tych województw, na terenie których zachowały się liczne materialne ślady wielowiekowego dziedzictwa, reprezentującego różne tradycje kulturowe i religijne. Są to m.in. zamki, pałace, zabudowania mieszkalne, gospodarcze i przemysłowe, a także miejsca kultu religijnego – murowane, drewniane i ryglowe kościoły oraz kaplice. Do grupy zabytków o charakterze sakralnym należą także obiekty reprezentujące różne formy małej architektury sakralnej. Autor niniejszego artykułu niejednokrotnie spotykał tego typu obiekty podczas wędrówek z aparatem fotograficznym, związanych z przygotowaniem przewodnika po zabytkach architektury. Plonem tych wędrówek są m.in. zdjęcia kapliczek i krzyży, a przede wszystkim wolno stojących kamiennych figur Chrystusa, Matki Boskiej i niektórych świętych, osadzonych w otwartej przestrzeni miejscowości lubuskich, głównie przy drogach, mostach, w otoczeniu kościołów i na cmentarzach. Oczywiście zaprezentowane w niniejszym artykule figury nie przedstawiają wszystkich tego typu obiektów zabytkowych, znajdujących się na obszarze województwa lubuskiego. Autor wyraża nadzieję, że publikacja w drugiej części artykułu katalogu figur zachęci innych autorów do jego uzupełnienia o wszystkie kategorie obiektów zaliczanych do małej architektury sakralnej.

This Division is responsible for preparing of documentation and dealing with theoretical problems of conservation of monuments that are preserved outside the museums. Ais the movable monuments or works of art are considered all objects of plastic art except for those of architecture or townplanming. Documentation problems. As the basis of all works carried on by the Division serves the inventory of movable monument's covering more than 2/3 of the total number of objects within the country’s territory. The inventory consists of special index cards prepared for each movable monument bearing a photograph, measurements, a detailed description, and s.o., and, in addition a classification or evaluation of a given piece within one from among four groups . The Division has at its disposal a Central File containing over 100,000 cards. This File by itself constitutes an unusually rich documentary material that is steadily improved and made up to date through verifications carried out in field. None the less, this File is to be considered as only the first stage preceding more detailed documentation of selected groups of monuments of whom three are already under preparation, namely (a) Polish wall paintings, being a subject in stage of working discussions, (b) Polish ancient organs and organ prospects; on the basis of index cards for movable monuments and also of special questionnâmes dealing mainly with the organ mechanisms an isolated file has been established of ancient organs and organ prospects in Poland which after its supplementing with the available bibliographical, illustrative and archival sources will be published by the Centre. This publication will be preceded with a comprehensive work by Dr. Jan Chwałek titled „Organ building, an Introduction to Inventory of Ancient Organs in Poland”. Parallely with works of documentary character the Division deals with organization of conservation work in that field of activities being entirely new one in Poland. Already at present in collaboration with the State Ateliers of Historical Monument Conservation the first Atelier for Conservation of Ancient Organs has been called into being in Cracow. (C) ancient goldsmith’s art in Poland; as a result of works devoted to this subject a bibliographical card index of goldsmiths and that of goldsmith’s marks is being established and the „Terminological Dictionnary of Goldsmith’s Art” prepared (its author being M. Gradowski). The chief among the planned works will, however, consist in publication of a detailed inventory of pieces of ancient goldsmith’s art. There is also under preparation a comprehensive book by M. Gradowski and J. Rochacki „Techniques and Technologies used in the Ancient Goldsmith’s Art”. Conservation problems. It must be pointed out that neither the Centre nor its Movable Monument Division do not carry out the conservation work. It is this Division, however, that is responsible for preparing of a central, country-wide plan for conservation of movable monuments and at the same time for supervision of its execution through the participation of its representatives in Conservators’ Commissions outlining the scope of works to be undertaken or approving the work already executed. Another Division’s task consists in programming and financing the methods and media whose results are conveyed to Publishing Division for publication. Where particularly valuable monuments are Involved, requiring especially complicated conservation treatments or using the new conservation media (as it was the case with the Romanesque flooring plate at Wiślica) the Division organizes the meetings of the most narrowly specialized experts in a subject to take the proper decisions and then to supervise their execution. More general as to their character are the Conservators’ Conferences organized by the Division with their sessions attended by representatives of conservation authorities and guests from abroad. Seven such conferences have been held up to now devoted to conservation of monumental objects made from wood, metal, textiles, leather, wall paintings, stone, paper and parchment, and easel paintings. Organizational measures have been already taken for preparation of a conference on conservator’s documentation. Proceedings of these conferences are published in form of reports and discussions in the Centre’s series „Biblioteka Muzealnictwa i Ochrony Zabytków, seria B” („Library of Museums and Monument Protection, series B ”).

The organiser of the seminar on ”Historical Parks – Protection and Conservation,” held in Warsaw on 16-17 June 2009, was the National Heritage Board of Poland. The seminar was attended by the staff of the voivodeship offices for the protection of historical monuments and their delegatures dealing with historical vegetation, representatives of science, and employees of the National Heritage Board of Poland. The purpose of the seminar was to discuss numerous essential questions pertaining to the protection and conservation of historical parks and gardens, the state of their preservation, and the ways of their administration and use. The participants also considered problems associated with the creation by the National Board of a new reference list of historical parks and gardens for the National Fund for the Protection of the Natural Environment and Water Management, while a representative of the Fund defined the tasks that this institution can finance. One of the seminar blocks dealt with tree cultivation, and the debates ended with a presentation of examples of historical parks and gardens, which in recent years were subjected to conservation. The next meeting will be held in 2010.

W przypadku budynków o charakterze zabytkowym, objętych opieką konserwatorską, poprawa izolacyjności cieplnej przegród zewnętrznych jest możliwa jedynie poprzez ich docieplenie od strony wewnętrznej. Do termoizolacji ścian zewnętrznych obiektów zabytkowych chętnie jest stosowany system Multipor firmy Xella wykorzystujący mineralne płyty izolacyjne wykonane z bardzo lekkiej odmiany betonu komórkowego. Charakteryzuje się on łatwością montażu, uzyskaniem korzystnego mikroklimatu pomieszczeń, poprawą bezpieczeństwa przeciwpożarowego, a także możliwością wykończenia powierzchni ścian na wiele sposobów. W referacie przedstawiono technologię zastosowania ww. systemu na przykładzie obiektu XIX-wiecznej byłej fabryki guzików zlokalizowanej w Poznaniu.
In the case of buildings with historic character, under the care of conservation, improving the thermal insulation of the building envelope it is only possible through their insulation from the inside. Thermal insulation of external walls of historic buildings willingly system is used MULTIPOR Xella uses mineral insulation boards made of very lightweight cellular concrete variety. It is characterized by ease of installation, to obtain a favorable microclimate of the rooms, the improvement of fire safety, as well as the possibility of finishing the surface of the wall in many ways. The paper presents the technology of application of the said system on the example of the object nineteenth-century former button factory located in Poznan.

Les articles de F. Stevich et de J. Galicz du XIXe siècle sont les premiers qui témoignent de l ’intérêt porté, du point de vue historique et scientifique, aux orgues anciens. Un groupe re stre in t de spécialistes se forme alors qui reconnaissent la supériorité des in struments anciens sur les nouveaux de caractère ro mantique. Dès lors, le reto u r à la tradition de l ’a rt baroque, constitue le mot d ’ordre lancé pour la p re mière fois à Vienne en 1909, rep ris par la suite au Congrès de Fribourg en 1926. Il trouva une rapide r é percussion dans les articles de G. Gieburowski. Une discussion s ’ensuivit entre les partisans des orgues baroques d ’une p a rt et ceux des orgues romantiques d ’au tre p a rt, à l’issue de laquelle l ’on esseya d’établir, pour la première fois, un inventaire des orgues an ciens en Pologne, p a r exemple en 1937, par l ’en tre mise de la revue „La musique ecclésiastique”. Toutefois, jusqu’aux temps derniers, les ateliers construisa n t les orgues n ’appréciaient point à leur juste v a leu r les instruments anciens, ils les transformaient ou même les reléguaient sans aucun scrupule afin de les remplacer par d ’autres instruments nouveaux. In Poland there are to be found, apart from numerous monuments o f Polish fortifications, also some interesting instances o f foreign defence systems. These include Prussian fortifications o f the 18th century, the Napoleonic ones o f the early 19th, Russian, German and Austrian o f the late 19th and early 20th century and the Soviet and German defences dating from the Second World War. They represent, not infrequently, high standards o f engineering and architecture, their value exceeding the national scale of significance. The Conservator General of Historical Monuments appointed, in September 1976, a Committee on the Problems of Protection and Conservation o f the Monuments of Military Engineering and Architecture. The members o f the Committee are representatives o f the Ministry o f Culture and Art, Ministry of National Defence and experts in the fields concerned. The aim of the Committee is setting this complex question in order, due to initiation o f large- scale surveys in various spheres, archival research and field work indispensable to synthetic studies which will provide for concentration o f means an d efforts on preservation of the most valuable o f those monuments and protection of the remaining ones.
