    The presence of theology in the academic community is today a challenge of particular significance. One of the most important reasons are political transformations in the post-communist countries of Europe in the last 25 years, as well as ideological and axiological transformations in the West of our continent. All these processes have affected many spheres of social, cultural and spiritual life and are directly related to shaping the contemporary theological thought. Although theology acquires potentially new opportunities for development and impact in the university space, in practice there are increasing difficulties in its affirmation. The problem primarily concerns the scientific profile of theology and the responsibility of theologians themselves.

    Artykuł jest próbą syntetycznego zestawienia wątków wspólnych występujących w refleksji nad uniwersytetem i jego istotą w pismach Karla Jaspersa oraz wypowiedziach Karola Wojtyły – papieża Jana Pawła II. Uderzające jest podobieństwo ujęć uniwersytetu oraz rozumienie samej jego istoty u obydwu myślicieli, pomimo odmienności czasu, w którym formułowali oni swoje opinie, oraz różnic w zakresie stanowiska filozoficznego. O tym, czy idea uniwersytetu zostaje wcielona w życie, czy też zaprzepaszczona, stanowi zdaniem obu myślicieli stosunek do następujących zagadnień: prawda, uniwersalność nauki, formacyjna rola uniwersytetu, powołanie i etos uczonego oraz wewnętrzny ustrój uniwersytetu. Przedmiotem szczególnej uwagi jest odpowiedzialność uczonego, bezinteresowność w poszukiwaniu prawdy oraz powinność formowania człowieczeństwa powierzonych jego pieczy studentów. W każdym z tych obszarów zachodzi znaczna zbieżność stanowisk, wypracowywanych przecież niezależnie od siebie i w innym kontekście historycznym. Fakt ten można interpretować dwojako: po pierwsze, świadczy on o aktualności problemów, przed którymi stają środowiska uniwersyteckie, po drugie zaś ukazuje uniwersalność myślenia Karola Wojtyły, który w swoich rozważaniach wykracza poza aspekty specyficznie religijne i adresuje swój przekaz jako ogólnohumanistyczne przesłanie do ludzi tworzących uniwersytet.
    This article is an attempt at synthetically juxtaposing those common threads of reflection on the university and its essence which are present in the works of both Karl Jaspers and Pope John Paul II. What is striking is the similarity of the problem of the university and the understanding of its very essence by both thinkers, regardless of the different eras in which they formulated their opinions and the differences in their philosophical positions. According to both thinkers, whether the idea of the university is implemented or not is connected to its approach to questions of truth, the universality of science, the formational role of the university, the vocation and ethos of the scholar, and the internal system of the university itself. Worthy of particular attention is the responsibility of scholars, their selflessness in the search for truth, and their duty to mould the humanity of those students who are entrusted into their care. In each of these areas there is a far-reaching convergence of positions, each developed independently and in different historical contexts. This fact can be interpreted in two ways: firstly, it shows the topicality of the problems facing universities, and secondly, it shows the universality of Karol Wojtyła’s thinking, who, in his deliberations, goes beyond specific religious aspects and addresses his message as a general humanistic message to all of those who constitute a university.

    The leading aim of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow is to be of service to the Church and Homeland, that is, Poland. The University is a part of the community of the Catholic Church. Consequently, evangelization and creating special bonds among the members of academic community is a method of achieving the aims of the University. The practice of fostering the model of a master-pupil relation is the most important element of the practice of the University. The authorities of the University take care of the agenda of studies, the development in the fields of research and science, and also of educating the young about patriotism.
    Wiodącym zdaniem uniwersytetu jest służba Kościołowi i Ojczyźnie. Uniwersytet pozostaje w służbie Kościoła i przez ewangelizację oraz przez budowanie wspólnoty akademickiej, szczególnie pielęgnowania relacji „mistrz–uczeń”, wydatnie przyczynia się do umacniania jedności wspólnoty kościelnej. Uniwersytet, troszcząc się o udoskonalenie programu studiów i o rozwój nauki, kształcąc i wychowując młodzież w duchu patriotyzmu, służy Polsce.

    Artykuł ma na celu wskazanie konieczności nauczania, głównie na akademickich kursach języka polskiego jako obcego, wypowiedzi reprezentujących polskie gatunki akademickie. Dużą grupę uczących się stanowią kandydaci na studia i studenci-cudzoziemcy, zdobywający wykształcenie wyższe w Polsce. Będąc częścią polskiej wspólnoty akademickiej powinni być dobrze przygotowani do recepcji i produkcji gatunków wypowiedzi stosowanych w dyskursie akademickim. W artykule przedstawiona została genologiczna analiza artykułu naukowego, będącego podstawowym gatunkiem w tym dyskursie. Uwzględniając obowiązujące w tym zakresie przepisy i zalecenia z odnośnych poradników, przedstawiono opis gatunku w oparciu o teorię gatunku Johna Swalesa i koncepcję wzorca gatunkowego Marii Wojtak. Autorka zachęca, by glottodydaktycy polonistyczni zwracali uwagę uczących się na wszystkie aspekty wzorca: strukturalny, pragmatyczny, poznawczy i językowy, a także pokazywali różne warianty gatunku: jego postać kanoniczną oraz warianty alternacyjne i adaptacyjne. Mimo dużej unifikacji wypowiedzi, należy podkreślać kulturowe uwarunkowania i wykładniki gatunkowe. 
    The article aims to emphasise the teaching of utterances representing Polish academic genres, mainly on academic courses of Polish as a foreign language. A large group of learners consists of candidates to Polish universities and foreign students pursuing education in Poland. Being part of the Polish academic community they should be well prepared for the reception and production of genres of speech used in academic discourse. The article presents a genological analysis of a scientific article constituting the basic genre in this discourse. Considering the binding regulations and recommendations included in appropriate textbooks, the author proposes a description of the genre based on the genre theory of John Swales and the concept of the genre pattern of Maria Wojtak. The author recommends teachers of Polish as a foreign language to focus their students’ attention on all aspects of the pattern: structural, pragmatic, cognitive and linguistic, and also show them different variants of the genre: its canonic as well as alternative and adaptive forms. In spite of the high uniformity of utterances, the cultural environment and exponents of the genre should be highlighted.

    Autor wyjaśnia swoje rozumienie nowoczesnej teologii teoretycznej, rozważając aspekty homiletyczne. Formułuje trzy tezy. Po pierwsze, ten rodzaj teologii oddziałuje w sposób zrozumiały na gruncie czysto teoretycznym. Odnosi się do funkcji i struktury wiary, jak również do religijnych sposobów życia. Po drugie, homiletyka i przepowiadanie obierają sobie za cel zbawienną i wspólnotową praktykę życia. Po trzecie, doktryna o usprawiedliwieniu jest implicite częścią teologicznego zachowania oraz explicite tematem przepowiadania. Nowoczesna refleksja teologii teoretycznej ukazuje jej powiązanie z podstawowymi procesami komunikacji i uczenia się. Dlatego dostarcza ona impulsów dla dydaktyki homiletyki, edukacji w przepowiadaniu i feedback- -culture. Ten rodzaj teologii daje też zrozumiałą propozycję dla interpretacji religii, oceny różnych kontekstów oraz może być podstawowym elementem dialogu międzykulturowego i międzyreligijnego. Praktyka ta może pomóc w ulepszeniu duchowego i społecznego życia wszystkich ludzi oraz środowiska. Aufgeklärt Predigen im Kontext von Theologie als Wissenschaft und Rechtfertigungslehre Der Verfasser erläutert sein Verständnis einer aufgeklärten Theologie im Bezug auf die Homi-letik. Er stellt drei Thesen auf: Diese Form der Theologie arbeitet erstens. in einer humanwissenschaftlich nachvollziehbaren Weise. Sie ist bezogen auf die Funktionen und Strukturen des Glaubens und religiöser Lebenswelten. Homiletik und Predigt zielen zweitens auf eine heilsame und solidarische Lebenspraxis. Und drittens: Die Rechtfertigungslehre ist Teil impliziter Theologie und expliziter Inhalt der Verkündigung. Ihre wissenschaftliche Reflexion zeigt sie in Verbindung mit allgemeinen Kommunikations- und Lernprozessen und gibt damit Impulse für eine Didaktik der Predigtausbildung und einer homiletischen Feedbackkultur. Diese Art der Theologie bietet eine nachvollziehbare Interpretation von Glauben und Religion in verschiedenen Kontexten und kann ein Basiselement für interkulturelle und interreligiöse Dialoge bilden. Die daraus folgende Praxis kann helfen, das spirituelle und soziale Leben von Menschen in ihrer Umwelt zu verbessern.
    The author explains his understanding of an enlightened academic theology regarding homiletic aspects. He sets up three thesisses: Firstly this kind of theology works in an general academic understandable way. It is related to functions and structures of faith and religious ways of life as well. Secondly homiletics and preaching take aim at salutary and solidary practise of life. Thirdly the doctrine of justification is part of implicit theological behaviour and explicit topic of preaching. It’s enlightened reflection shows it’s connection with basic processes of communication and learning. So it gives impulses to didactics of homiletic education in preaching and feedback-culture. This kind of theology makes an understandable offer for interpretation of religion and values in various contexts and could be a basic element for intercultural and inter-religious dialogues. The following practice can help to improve the spiritual and social life of people in their environment.
