    Opis:
    The article deals with the issue of the importance of voice production in the work of a teacher. Incompetent voice use is one of the main factors causing disorders of the voice organ. The aim of this study is to draw attention to the issues related to voice production, presented in the context of the opinions and views of academic youth representing pedagogical fields. The text focuses on direct and indirect factors causing voice problems, disease symptoms that may appear in people working with voice, conscious work on voice projection and elements of correct speech techniques that may affect the quality of classes.

    Opis:
    In this paper an experienced pedagogist Marta Radwańska presents her own reflections and views of other researchers on the process of developing an appropriate voice production. She relates the issues to her own research results as well as to the methodological assumptions connected with the development of pedagogy students’ creative behaviour. The author also emphasizes the need to enrich the culture of native speech in the light of dangers resulting from the side effects of social life globalization.

    The author discusses the role of relaxation in the process of voice training. She does so in the context of how students of pedagody perceive the impact of psychophysical factors on phonation disorders, and the relationship between relaxation and voice quality. The conclusions are based on questionnaire of own design, developed on interrelations of relaxation, psychophysical condition of the speaker and voice production. The survey was performed in a group of anonymous 70 students of pedagogy at the State School of Higher Education in Chełm. The author grounds her conclusions on the issues discussed in this paper also on her own observation of the study group during workshop

    Introduction: Teachers constitute an occupational group where voice disorders associated with vocation are most often observed. Incorrect voice production and neglect of voice hygiene are mentioned among the causes of those disorders. Aim: Assessment of compliance with voice hygiene and voice production among teachers and determination of differences between preschool and primary school teachers; identifying relationships between provided answers and age, years of service and weekly work hours as well as determining which principles of voice hygiene and production are complied with the most and which are least followed. Material and methods: Study included 90 preschool and primary school teachers, 68 women and 22 men with mean age of 39.5 ± 10.9 (range: 23–59 years). In the study we used a questionnaire created specifically for this purpose and a survey, where respondents reported their age, workplace, years of service and number of hours when they used their voice. Results: Teachers provided answers consistent with the principles of voice hygiene and voice production in about half of questions on average. There was a relationship between workplace, age and the degree of compliance with the rules of voice hygiene and production. To the smallest extent teachers followed the rules related to physical activity, water consumption as well as voice production during infection and in noise. Conclusions: Studies corroborated the need for training teachers regarding voice hygiene and production.

    Trema to jedno z najczęstszych zjawisk odczuwanych przed wystąpieniami publicznymi. Istotnym powodem pomiaru tremy jest jej negatywny wpływ na zdrowie i emisję głosu dzieci i młodzieży. W literaturze światowej istnieją teorie, które opisują zjawisko tremy i jej implikacje dla emisji głosu. Niestety, brakuje narzędzi do badania tremy przed występem, które byłyby przeznaczone dla dzieci i młodzieży oraz zawierałyby jednocześnie kontekst pracy głosem. Celem tego artykułu jest krótka charakterystyka tremy i zaburzeń głosu o podłożu psychogennym oraz przedstawienie autorskiego narzędzia stworzonego na podstawie trójczynnikowej teorii konstruktu tremy. W tekście opisane są kolejne etapy powstawania kwestionariusza, analiza czynnikowa i wyłanianie skal. Wyniki analiz potwierdziły trójczynnikową konstrukcję narzędzia i sugerują, że skala może okazać się trafnym kwestionariuszem do badania tremy.
    Stage fright is one of the most common phenomena before performance. An important reason for measuring stage fright is negative impact on the health and voice production of children and youth. There are theories in world literature that describe the phenomenon of stage fright and implications for voice. Unfortunately, there are no tools for testing performance anxiety that would be intended for children and youth, and would also include the context of voice production. The aim of this article is to briefly describe stage fright and psychogenic voice disorders and present a tool based on the three‑factor theory of stage fright constructs. The text describes the stages of creating the questionnaire, factor analysis and the selection of scales. The results of the analyzes confirmed the 3‑factor structure of the tool and suggest that the scale may prove to be a valid questionnaire for examining stage fright in children and youth.

    Opis:
    Voice is a work instrument in many professions, especially in that of teaching. Teachers are prone to develop voice impairment that is likely to occur due to lack of practice in and familiarity with the voice production principles and occupational hygiene. In spite of growing understanding and awareness of the need to use one’s voice properly, a significant share of vocal apparatus disorders include complaints resulting from excessive and inappropriate vocal strain. The following article aims at summarizing preliminary results of a study oriented towards assessment of teachers’ knowledge and practice in the field of vocal hygiene.
    Głos jest narzędziem pracy w wielu profesjach, najliczniejszą zaś grupę ludzi zawodowo posługujących się głosem stanowią nauczyciele. Narażeni są oni na powstawanie zaburzeń głosu, które mogą wynikać z braku wiedzy i doświadczenia związanego z prawidłową emisją głosu oraz higieną pracy. Mimo coraz większej wiedzy i świadomości na temat konieczności prawidłowego posługiwania się głosem duży odsetek chorób narządu głosu stanowią schorzenia wynikające z nadmiernego i nieprawidłowego wysiłku głosowego. W artykule przedstawiono podsumowanie wstępnych wyników badań mających na celu ocenę wiedzy i doświadczenia nauczycieli z zakresu higieny głosu.

    Niniejsza praca jest próbą udzielenia odpowiedzi na pytanie o aktualny stan świadomości językowej profesjonalnych dziennikarzy, a także o wpływ tej wiedzy na kulturę żywego słowa w polskich instytucjach medialnych. W toku badań potwierdzono, iż świadomość językowa diagnozowanych grup jest na raczej niskim poziomie. Uzyskane wyniki ukazują istotny problem w rozwijającym się aktualnie świecie mediów. W swojej pracy wskazuję również na aspekt edukacyjny, albowiem to właśnie na instytucjach medialnych ciąży szczególny obowiązek krzewienia kultury żywego słowa języka ojczystego oraz utrzymywania zasad poprawnej wymowy standardowej polszczyzny. Artykuł porusza zagadnienia, które są istotne przy badaniu poziomu świadomości językowej w aspekcie kultury żywego słowa: omówienie zasad poprawności w wymowie i konstrukcji wypowiedzi, komunikacji międzyludzkiej, mowy ciała, czy emisji głosu.
    The aim of this study was to address the question of the current state of language awareness of professional journalists, as well as the impact of this state on the culture of the spoken word in the Polish media institutions. The study confi rmed that the language awareness of the aforementioned diagnosed groups is relatively low. The results obtained show a significant problem in the currently evolving media context. This study also highlights the educational aspect as it is the duty of media institutions to promote the culture of the spoken word of the native tongue. This study covers issues that are relevant when diagnosing the levels of language awareness in terms of the culture of the spoken word. The article contains a discussion on the principles of correct Polish pronunciation and composition, interpersonal communication, body language, or voice production in speech.
