    Not all children develop properly. Therefore it is important to detect as early as possible deficits in their development and beginning systematic therapeutic intervention. Support the psychomotor development may be individual or group. It is necessary to take into account the needs and possibilities of the child. Therapeutic work contributes to leveling cognitive and social-emotional deficits. Properly matched methods and techniques of works with children decide about the effectiveness of therapy. This study presents the basic assumptions of several methods whose effectiveness has been confirmed in working with children with developmental disabilities.

    Opis:
    Significant form of psychological support for gifted students of music, visual-art and ballet schools is a specialized psychological and educational counselling Centre of Arts Education. A form of indirect support are information training and additional research action aimed at helping parents and teachers of art schools as well as integration-supervisory action aimed at supporting educational specialists of artistic schools. In contrast, psychological and educational counselling is a form of direct support for students in solving specific artistic education-related problems: coping with stage fright, effective exercises for an instrument, motivating factors and inhibitors of artistic development, personality and self-esteem resources, student-teacher interpersonal relations. These problems were presented in a broad context of theoretical considerations present in Polish and foreign literature.
    Istotną formą wsparcia psychologicznego uzdolnionych kierunkowo uczniów szkół muzycznych, plastycznych i baletowych jest specjalistyczne poradnictwo psychologiczno-pedagogiczne Centrum Edukacji Artystycznej. Formą pomocy pośredniej są z jednej strony działania informacyjno- szkoleniowe i publikacyjno-badawcze podejmowane z myślą o rodzicach i nauczycielach, a z drugiej strony działania integracyjno-superwizyjne ukierunkowane na wspomaganie zawodowe psychologów i pedagogów szkolnictwa artystycznego. Natomiast działalność poradniana stanowi formę bezpośredniej pomocy uczniom w rozwiązywaniu specyficznych dla szkolnictwa artystycznego problemów dotyczących: radzenia sobie z tremą, efektywnego ćwiczenia gry na instrumencie, czynników demotywujących i motywujących do rozwoju artystycznego, zasobów osobowościowych i samooceny oraz relacji interpersonalnych uczeń–nauczyciel. Problemy dostrzeżone dzięki praktyce poradnianej zaprezentowane zostały w szerokim kontekście rozważań teoretycznych obecnych w polskiej i zagranicznej literaturze przedmiotu.

    The polish conception of aesthetic education began in the 1960s. The grounds of this theory were formulated by Bogdan Suchodolski, who recognised it as an integral part of general education. According to this theory, aesthetic education encompasses two areas: education for art, i.e. education for aesthetic sensibility and aesthetic culture, and education through art, i.e. development of full personality, also in the intellectual, moral, social, educational, imaginative and creative areas. Essential for the Polish theory of aesthetic education are the proposals and conclusions presented by Irena Wojnar, particularly her recognition of education through art as a creating an “open mind” attitude. A distinctive feature of Irena Wojnar’s pedagogical reflection on art is its interdisciplinary nature, which takes into account not only the educational one, but also the aesthetic, psychological and social perspective on the educational values and functions of art. The conceptions of visual art and musical education developed within the “general” theory of aesthetic education have been used in designing the music and visual arts curricula. The contemporary Polish theory of aesthetic education joined the stream of new educational thinking, in the perspective of cultural pluralism and new ethical and social obligations to individuals and to the world. The so perceived aesthetic education, recognised by UNESCO as an important part of education for culture, including the so-called human culture, deserves both the attention and interest of theorists as well as innovative practical solutions.

    In the presented article the author depicts the distinctive features of the Japanese metalmusic in the different decades of its development, what she accomplishes through showingthe achievements of the chosen artists. She also focuses on pointing out the primary sourcesof their inspirations that influenced the described genre. The significant part of the presentedanalysis in the development of the cultural phenomena accompanying the development of themusic – such as zoku sub-cultures and visual kei aesthetic. Starting from the rockabilly musicthat influenced Japan in the 60s and contributed to rock and metal music, the author depictsthe ways of development of the metal genre, situating them in the broader perspective of thechanges in the Japanese music industry.

    Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badania laboratoryjnego, których celem było sprawdzenie, jak charakter muzyki instrumentalnej w audiowizualnej reklamie politycznej warunkuje postrzeganie cech reklamowanych polityków. Trzem grupom badanym prezentowano polskie reklamy polityczne z różnymi podkładami muzycznymi. W badaniu wykorzystano muzykę: a) majestatyczną, b) sentymentalną o konotacjach patriotycznych, c) sentymentalną bez konotacji patriotycznych oraz d) energiczną. Zrealizowane badania ujawniły, że za pomocą tła muzycznego można warunkować wyobrażenia odbiorców reklamy na temat niektórych cech promowanych polityków.
    The paper presents the results of a laboratory study whose aim was to describe how the character of the background music of audio-visual political advertising shapes the watchers’ perception of the qualities of the promoted politicians. Three groups of the participants watched the same Polish political spots with different music: a) majestic, b) sentimental with patriotic connotations, c) sentimental without patriotic connotations, d) energetic.  The conducted analysis has shown that the character of the background music can affect the watchers’ opinions about some of the features of the politicians.

    Blurring of the distinction between performers and audience is one of the characteristics of musical worlds dominated by “folk” music discourse. The rave movement originated in the United Kingdom in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and was described as “new folk music” due to the practice of collective dance, and the ideology of equality. Tomasz Szlendak’s research on the phenomenon of “technomania”, which was conducted in the 1990s, shows that these ideological postulates were not always implemented. The form and the course of a “technoparty” were often influenced by the music club’s rules and regulations. The so-called “free tekno” is a contemporary music scene that operates outside the club context and originates in the early rave. A quantitative analysis of one hundred videos on the youtube.com website, and a participant observation carried out between 2013 and 2017 at 13 “free tekno” events in Poland suggests that outside the clubs, the ideological postulates of the “folk” musical discourse are realised to a greater extent than at “technoparites” described by Szlendak.

    The article focuses on identifying differences in the locus of control and styles of coping with stress among young students who are artistically gifted within the fields of music and visual arts. The research group includes Polish students (n = 354) of both music and visual art schools who develop their artistic talents in schools placing particular emphasis on professional training of their artistic abilities and competences within the field of music or visual arts respectively. We make an assumption that different types of difficult situations experienced by youth educated at music and visual art schools may generate differences in dominating personal traits as well as in their sphere of emotions. The results of cross-sectional research in 2013 confirm the assumption regarding differences among music and visual art school students both with regard to the source of the locus of control, understood as the personality variable, and dominating styles of coping with stress. Moreover, a positive correlation between the tendency towards internal locus of control and a task-oriented style of coping with stress in difficult situations has been observed in music school students.

    Artykuł jest próbą rekonstrukcji zapomnianej, a w zasadzie w ogóle nieznanej, twórczości filmowej Pawła Binna z lat 30. XX w. Inżynier Binn prowadził w swoim domowym laboratorium udane eksperymenty z tzw. dźwiękiem rysowanym, kreowanym na taśmie w miejscu ścieżki dźwiękowej. Zrealizował nawet, o czym milczą tomy historii kina, poklatkowy film pt. Rysunkowa muzyka (1934), będący brakującym ogniwem w historii polskiej awangardy filmowej dwudziestolecia międzywojennego, a także – jak próbuje udowodnić autor – cennym uzupełnieniem osiągnięć awangardy europejskiej. Jednocześnie Sitkiewicz próbuje przybliżyć recepcję „wizualnej muzyki” w przedwojennej Polsce.
    The article is an attempt to reconstruct the forgotten, and in principle unknown, film work of Paweł Binn from the 1930s. Engineer Binn ran successful experiments in his home laboratory with so called drawn sound, created on the tape in place of the soundtrack. He even realized, which film historians remain silent about, a time-lapse film entitled Animated music (1934), which is the missing link in the history of the Polish film avant-garde of the interwar period, and - as the author attempts to prove - a valuable complement to the achievements of the European avant-garde. At the same time, Sitkiewicz tries to present the reception of “visual music” in pre-war Poland.

Wrażliwość estetyczna w krótkich formach filmowych, zaangażowanie twórców i umożliwianie działania odbiorcy wysoce sprzyjają kształtowaniu świadomości społecznej. Cztery filmy Sila van der Woerda i Jorika Dozy’ego: dwa główne (music video) i dwa dodatkowe (the story of…), stały się obszarem poszukiwań odpowiedzi na pytanie badawcze: Jaki jest potencjał krótkich form filmowych w kontekście kształtowania świadomości społecznej?. Zastosowana analiza zawartości przekazu oraz badania ilościowe umożliwiły uznanie potencjału krótkich form filmowych za wysoki.
    The paper is a search for new options and tools for developing social awareness. Aesthetic sensitivity in short film forms, involvement of directors and giving a viewer the chance to participate, highly facilitates the development of social awareness. Four films by Sil van der Woerd and Jorik Dozy: two main works (music video) and two additional ones (the story of…) became an object of search for the answer to the question: What is the potential of short film forms in the context of developing social awareness? The analysis of the content and quantitative research made it possible to assess the potential of short film forms as high.

    The article deals with the issue of strategy of historicizing film narrative and the world presented on a screen in historical cinema. It shows with what elements the film narrative and the world presented on a screen are historicized. In the introduction of the article, the most important analytical categories such as historical film and strategies of historicizing film narrative and the world presented on a screen are conceptualized. Historical film is defined as an operational category requiring conceptualization relativized to a cultural context of its use. A historical film is described as a screening work covering various genological structures, the subject of which relates to the past. The strategies of historicizing the film narrative and the film world presented on a screen are understood as numerous ways of equipping the film with various signs of historicity that allow the viewer/researcher to get an impression of the screen effect of a time shift towards the past. In the following parts of the article, the signs of historicity that have the function of historicizing the film narrative and the world presented on a screen are analyzed on the examples of various films covering a wide spectrum of history from ancient times to the present day. The Signs of historicity include the following elements: (1) scenery, stage design, costumes; (2) language; (3) music; (4) characterization; (5) events and characters. Strategies of historicizing the world presented on a screen and film narrative, which have been analyzed in the article, play a particularly important role in the so-called classic films made in the aesthetics of zero style cinema.
    Różnorodne sposoby wyposażania filmu w różnego rodzaju oznaki historyczności w artykule są nazywane strategiami uhistoryczniania filmowej narracji oraz filmowego świata przedstawionego. W związku z faktem, że w ramach respektowanej w tekście koncepcji film historyczny jest opowieścią przedstawiającą bliższą lub dalszą przeszłość, jedną z najistotniejszych oznak historyczności filmowej opowieści jest w tym przypadku efekt ekranowego przesunięcia w czasie ku przeszłości. Polega on na tym, że oglądając film, widz ma świadomość odmienności świata prezentowanego na ekranie od tego, który znamy z codziennego współczesnego doświadczenia. Artykuł skupia się na ukazaniu roli Mise-en-scène w uhistorycznianiu filmowej narracji i świata przedstawionego.

    Changes resulting from the development of the Internet have a significant impact on the shape of popular culture. Music, particularly the message that it conveys, constitutes an important element of culture. Music, which is a part of a wider cultural context, has a significant influence on the shaping of the world view of contemporary people and serves as an important element of its description. According to Jacek Bernasiewicz, music often becomes the building block of the young generation. “It is primarily about music, and particularly its content, that always served as a generational bond and carried ideology – rock music for flower children, punk rock for neglected children, rap music for hip hoppers…” (Bernasiewicz, 2009: 4). Music always carries a message and combined with a music video, it becomes a story. This paper and deliberations contained herein are devoted to the works of Mr D, also known as Dorota Masłowska, which is a mirage – on the one hand of pop culture, entertainment and fun, and on the other, a depiction of the contemporary Polish society, in which the Generation Y plays a major role. The aim of the paper is to show how the Internet, being a place where narratives about the world play out, using the convergence of media, contributes to the construction of a certain reality, the elements of which, emphasised by Dorota Masłowska and elevated above the everyday life of the global teenager “Made in Poland,” make up the determinants of contemporary youth culture. Music videos by Mr D. and the content of songs from the album Społeczeństwo jest niemiłe will serve as the subject of this analysis. The narrative appearing in these songs will be examined, and the broader context of the meanings contained in the songs in relation to the entirety of popular culture and the way of functioning of society in it will be pointed out. Dorota Masłowska’s songs are not narratives of the author herself, but of protagonists presented in her music videos: the girl presented in the music video undergoes a kind of metamorphosis, and the viewer looks at the world through the eyes of her imagination. The protagonists in her music videos and songs are representatives of certain social groups with specific, clear characteristics that allow them to be individually identified. I assume that lyrics of songs listened to and music videos watched by youth and young adults are among the most important ways of learning and participating in culture by giving meaning to oneself, one’s life and the world. A musical work that is an “immature form” of culture, making use of the wide range of possibilities available to it for conveying messages, full of symbols and metaphors, demands its recipients to read and discover the meaning.
