Opis:: Thecamoeba aesculea n. sp. was isolated and described from the surface of the bark of Aesculus hippocastanum and from terrestrial mosses growing on it. This amoeba is superficially similar to Thecamoeba sphaeronucleolus, but comparison of the newly isolated strain with the photographs and video records of the type strain of this species reveals differences which show that the two strains do not belong to the same morphospecies. The data obtained indicate the necessity of further comparative studies on the diversity of thecamoebian ‘morphospecies’ to outline clearer borders between them.

Opis:: Football hooligans are a group extremely prone to radicalization. Research and analyses from Western and, especially, Eastern European countries show a strong infiltration of this group of fans by Violent RightWing Extremism (VRWE). This is aided by the cult of strength and violence as well as the violent actions of this category of football fans. The aim of this work is to investigate this phenomenon in the Polish context and to describe the relationship between right-wing extremists and the environment of football hooligans and “ultras.” Numerous incidents related to the VRWE ideology at stadiums will be listed, as well as direct relationships between the VRWE activists and football hooligans. This will make it possible to place the case of Poland in the international context of this phenomenon and to show the advancement of this process.

Opis:: Stadiony piłkarskie stanowią przestrzeń artykułowania przekazów przez najbardziej zaangażowanych kibiców – ultrasów. Platformą ich komunikatów są przede wszystkim transparenty, banery oraz flagi. Treści tych opraw dotyczą zarówno zagadnień tożsamościowych (klubowych, narodowych, odnoszących się do wspólnych wartości), jak i stanowią komentarz do bieżącej sytuacji społecznej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest zatem analiza i systematyzacja całokształtu przekazów formułowanych przez ultrasów Lecha Poznań za pomocą analizy treści opraw, uwiecznionych na fotorelacjach ze 177 spotkań meczowych Kolejorza. Tekst skupia się na treściach wszystkich banerów, transparentów, flag oraz sektorówek przedstawianych w „Kotle” (sektorze ultrasów Lecha Poznań) podczas rozgrywek piłkarskiej Ekstraklasy w latach 2017–2021. Materiał badawczy służy do wskazania głównych obszarów tematycznych aktywności komunikacyjnej kibiców oraz kategoryzacji tworzonych przez nich treści. Artykuł wskazuje, iż stadion pełni rolę medium komunikacyjnego oraz miejsca autoprezentacji kibiców, podkreślając wewnętrzną spójność świata najbardziej zagorzałych fanów piłki nożnej.
Football stadiums are a space for the articulation of messages by the most committed fans – the ultras. The platform for their messages is mainly banners and flags. The content of these tifo displays relates both to issues of identity (club, national, shared values) and comment on the current social situation. The aim of this article is to analyse and systematise the entirety of messages formulated by Lech Poznań ultras by way of an analysis of the content of the banners documented in photographs from 177 matches of Lech Poznań. The text focuses on the content of all the banners, flags and sectorials presented in the “Kocioł” (Lech Poznań’s ultras sector) during Ekstraklasa football matches in 2017–2021. The research material is used to identify the main thematic areas of fans’ communication activity and to categorise the content they create. The article shows that the stadium plays the role of a communication medium and a place of fans’ self-presentation, emphasising the internal coherence of the world of the most passionate football fans.
