The paper presents analysis of fuelling and of the course of combustion process for a two-cycle engine. The main idea of the engine according to patent solution of Prof. B. Sendyka consists in the fact that engine work begins from spark ignition, whereas, at higher load and higher temperature in the cooling system there occurs switching off spark ignition and transition to ignition from an ignition dose injected directly into the combustion chamber. Such an engine possesses two injection systems: one system of multi-point injection which forms homogenous mixture, whereas, the other system of direct injection is used for ignition dose injection only. After injection of the ignition dose of a very small mass combustion is initiated on the basis of formation of auto-ignition centres so as it takes place during knock combustion. Auto-ignition centres initiate combustion of the basic charge. Simulation was carried out in order to perform analysis occurring phenomena of fuel feeding and combustion. Works on it started from elaboration of a computational grid of the engine and subsequently analysis of indicated diagrams of engine work with injection of ignition dose was performed. Analysis was also performed of temperature traces and of traces of charge mass change in the cylinder as well as of participation of the mass of basic fuel dose in the cylinder in function of the crank angle. Moreover visualization of effects of the process of mixture formation and combustion was performed and presented in form of illustrations of charge temperature distribution, fraction of fuel ignition and basic dose vapours in cross-sections of the combustion chamber.

Opis:
The arithmetic of PID control is simple and the stability of it is good. However, the dynamic characteristics of PID control are poor. The fuzzy logic control method is flexible and adaptive. It does not rely on a mathematical model of the system and can deal with the nonlinearity of parameters and uncertain problems. However, the stability of fuzzy logic control is poor. In this paper, fuzzy logic control combined with PID control is applied to a two-stage vibration isolation system to improve the vibration isolation effectiveness. Simulation results show that the method is effective.
Arytmetyka regulatora PID jest prosta, a jego stabilność dobra. Jednakże charakterystyki dynamiczne PID już tak korzystne nie są. Z drugiej strony, metody sterowania oparte na logice rozmytej są elastyczne i cechuje je duża zdolność adaptacyjna. Nie polegają one na ścisłym modelu matematycznym danego układu i dobrze sobie radzą z nieliniowościami parametrów i słabo zdefiniowanymi zagadnieniami. Niestety stabilność sterowania z logiką rozmytą jest niedostateczna. W pracy zaprezentowano rodzaj kombinacji metody logiki rozmytej z regulatorem PID zastosowanej do dwustopniowego układu izolacji drgań. Przeprowadzone symulacje pokazały efektywność takiego podejścia.

The results of theoretical analysis of a mixture formation process during the compression stroke in a prechamber of the IC (internal combustion) gas engine with the stratified mixtures two-stage combustion system were presented in the paper. The course of excess air-fuel ratio changes in prechamber at ignition time λkz in function of degree of the mixture condensation during the compression stroke φ expressing quotient of a temporary cylinder and prechamber volume and maximal value of the volume were estimated. Research concerning λkz sensitivity on changes of rich combustible mixture composition delivered to the prechamber by the additional fuel supply system λko, mixture composition in cylinder _c and degree of filling a prechamber with the rich combustible mixture ξ were performed. According to numerical calculations it was proved that the real gas engine with the two stage combustion system at equal degree requires exact regulation of the three analysed values.

W II Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej wielu ofi cerów Wojska Polskiego przeprowadzało transakcje handlowe, chcąc powiększyć swój majątek prywatny. Zdarzało się jednak, że działali na granicy norm prawa cywilnego i karnego, a także zwyczajowo przyjętych norm związanych z honorem – niekiedy je przekraczając. W takich przypadkach stawali przed obliczem wymiaru sprawiedliwości lub wytaczano im postępowanie honorowe. Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony został dwuinstancyjności oficerskich sądów honorowych w kontekście spraw karnych i cywilnych ppłk. Józefa Biernackiego. Ukazany został mechanizm działalności tych sądów i ich rola w kształtowaniu kadry oficerskiej Wojska Polskiego.
A considerable number of offi cers serving with the army during the Second Polish Republic partook in commercial transactions in order to increase their private wealth. However, when carrying out such projects they at times crossed the line between the accepted norms of civil and criminal law, as well as customarily accepted standards related to honor – which they sometimes exceeded. In such cases, they were brought to justice in court or were subjected to honorary proceedings. Th e paper discusses the two-stage system of the Offi cers’ Courts of Honor in the context of the criminal and civil cases concerning Lt. Józef Biernacki. Th e mechanisms behind the activities of these courts are presented, as well as the infl uence they had on shaping the offi cer cadre of the Polish Army.
In der Zweiten Polnischen Republik führten viele Offi ziere der polnischen Armee Handelsgeschäft e durch, um ihr Privatvermögen zu vermehren. Es kam jedoch vor, dass sie bei diesen Geschäft en an der Grenze zwischen zivil- und strafrechtlichen sowie den gewohnheitsrechtlichen Normen im Zusammenhang mit militärischer Ehre handelten und diese manchmal überschritten. In solchen Fällen wurden sie vor Gericht gestellt oder einem Ehrenverfahren unterzogen. Der vorliegende Aufsatz befasst sich mit der Zweiinstanzlichkeit der Offi ziersehrengerichte im Zusammenhang mit den straf- und zivilrechtlichen Verfahren gegen Oberstleutnant Józef Biernacki. Die Studie zeigt den Mechanismus der Tätigkeit dieser Gerichte und ihre Rolle bei der Bildung des Offi zierskaders der polnischen Armee auf.

Opis:
Lean mixture burning leads to a decrease in the temperature of the combustion process and it is one of the methods of limiting nitric oxide emissions. It also increases engine efficiency. An effective method to correct lean mixture combustion can be a two-stage system of stratified mixture combustion in an engine with a prechamber. This article presents the results of laboratory research on an SI engine (spark ignition) with a two-stage combustion system with a cylinder powered by gasoline and a prechamber powered by propane-butane gas LPG (liquefied petroleum gas). The results were compared to the results of research on a conventional engine with a one-stage combustion process. The test engine fuel mixture stratification method, with a two-stage combustion system in the engine with a prechamber, allowed to burn a lean mixture with an average excess air factor equal to 2.0 and thus led to lower emissions of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust of the engine. The test engine with a conventional, single-stage combustion process allowed to properly burn air-fuel mixtures of excess air factors X not exceeding 1.5. If the value X > 1.5, the non-repeatability factor COVLi increases, and the engine efficiency decreases, which makes it virtually impossible for the engine to operate. The engine with a two-stage combustion process, working with X = 2.0, the QmlQim = 2.5%, reduced the NOx content in the exhaust gases to a level of about 1.14 g/kWh. This value is significantly lower than the value obtained in a conventional engine, which worked at X = 1.3 with comparable non-repeatability of successive cycles (about 3%) and a similar indicated efficiency (about 34%), was characterised by the emissions of NOx in the exhaust equal to 26.26 g/kWh.

Seasonality is a function of a time series in which the data experiences regular and predictable changes that repeat each calendar year. Two-stage stochastic programming model for real industrial systems at the case of a seasonal demand is presented. Sampling average approximation (SAA) method was applied to solve a stochastic model which gave a productive structure for distinguishing and statistically testing a different production plan. Lingo tool is developed to obtain the optimal solution for the proposed model which is validated by Math works Matlab. The actual data of the industrial system; from the General Manufacturing Company, was applied to examine the proposed model. Seasonal future demand is then estimated using the multiplicative seasonal method, the effect of seasonality was presented and discussed. One might say that the proposed model is viewed as a moderately accurate tool for industrial systems in case of seasonal demand. The current research may be considered a significant tool in case of seasonal demand. To illustrate the applicability of the proposed model a numerical example is solved using the proposed technique. ANOVA analysis is applied using MINITAB 17 statistical software to validate the obtained results.

This paper presents an adaptive Generalized Likelihood Ratio (GLR) test for multiple Faults Detection and Isolation (FDI) in stochastic linear dynamic systems. Based on the work of Willsky and Jones (1976), we propose a modified generalized likelihood ratio test, allowing detection, isolation and estimation of multiple sequential faults. Our contribution aims to maximise the good decision rate of fault detection using another updating strategy. This is based on a reference model updated on-line after each detection and isolation of one fault. To reduce the computational requirement, the passive GLR test will be derived from a state estimator designed on a fixed reference model directly sensitive to system changes. We will show that active and passive GLR tests will be mixed and give interesting results compared with the GLR of Willsky and Jones (1976), and that they can be easily integrated in a reconfigurable Fault-Tolerant Control System (FTCS) to asymptotically recover the nominal system performances of the jump-free system.

Considering that the demand of tourism destination is variable on the scale of urban agglomeration, the selection process of travel destination is divided into two stages. The traditional transportation combination model based on the multinomial Logit cannot reflect this characteristic. And it is the lack of consideration of the influence of travel distribution and the dynamic transfer of passenger flow between various transport routes. Therefore, this thesis established a combination model of travel demand distribution and transportation assignment with two-stage terminal selection characteristics based on the nested Logit. Based on the analysis of tourists' trip process on the scale of urban agglomeration, a tourist flow transport network with travel destination nest structure is constructed. The generalized cost impedance function of transportation route is constructed based on the direct cost of transportation mode and the indirect cost of travel time. Based on the characteristics of two-stage destination selection of tourists, the form of travel distribution function of tourist flow is given. Through the first-order optimization conditions, it proved that the volume of travel distribution and tourism passenger transport assignment can meet the two-stage equilibrium conditions in the equilibrium state. Based on the idea of MSA algorithm, it designed the solution algorithm of the model and verified the feasibility of the model and algorithm in a simplified example. The calculation results show that the two-stage equilibrium assignment model proposed in this paper can obtain the volume of travel distribution and transportation assignment at the same time, meanwhile compared with the multinomial logit model, the nested Logit structure fully considers the attraction measure of the city destination and the scenic spot destination, which is more in line with the choice behavior of the tourists when choosing the transportation route. Thus, it provides a new comparable method for the optimal allocation of tourism passenger flow transport network resources on the scale of urban agglomeration, and can provide data support for the transportation organization plans of government decision-making departments and tourism transport enterprises.
