Opis:: This paper describes a new method for measuring and appraising the quality of the video stream in the video-telephony service in IP environments (VToIP). The method uses the so-called VS Model and belongs to the group of parameter-based measurement techniques (offline operation, i.e. without active measurement). It delivers results that come extremely close to those contained in the corresponding Perceptual Evaluation of Video Quality (PEVQ) curves. The method is quick and easy to use - a convincing argument for using this new QoS measuring method.

Opis:: W artykule omówiono zagadnienie sprawności hydrostatycznych układów napędowych stosowanych w wolnobieżnych platformach terenowych, które można wykorzystywać np. do transportu w trudnodostępnym terenie. Przedstawiono, przy tym krótką charakterystykę tego typu platform. Następnie omówiono, zagadnienie sprawności napędów hydrostatycznych oraz czynniki, które w głównej mierze decydują o wartości mocy rozpraszanej w układzie hydrostatycznym. Scharakteryzowano dwa główne rodzaje sprawności występujących w jednostkach hydrostatycznych (wolumetryczną i mechaniczno-hydrauliczną). Następnie dokonano porównania sprawności kilku silników hydraulicznych przy jednakowych warunkach obciążenia.
Tis paper presents issues of hydrostatic drivetrains applied in slow-moving transport terrain vehicles. Short description of such a vehicles was described. Next efficiency of hydrostatic drivetrains and main factors which has influence on its efficiency was discussed. It was characterized two types of hydraulic components efficiency: volumetric and hydromechanic. They have detrimental effect on power loses in hydrostatic drivetrains. In final part of the paper efficiency of few hydraulic motors in the same load conditions was compare.

Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono metodę tworzenia i badania wirtualnych modeli mechanizmów maszyn na przykładzie wózka do podnoszenia i transportu ciężkich podzespołów pojazdów samochodowych. Na podstawie opracowanego modelu kinematycznego konstrukcji przeanalizowano jego ruchliwość. Bazując na strukturalnym schemacie kinematycznym opracowano wirtualny model mechanizmu, który poddano badaniom symulacyjnym, stosując metodę elementów skończonych MES.
In this article method of creating and testing of virtual models of machines mechanism, on the example of fork-lift truck for lifting and transporting heavy sub – assembly for cars, was presented. Based on structural kinematic scheme virtual model of mechanism was elaborated and tested using Finite Element Method FEM.

Opis:: Article describes advanced high class research simulator of passenger car with complete inside equipment including adjustable driver seat, steering wheel, dashboard, gear selector, accelerator pedal, brake and clutch, parking brake etc. Simulator is based on six axis motion platform and original vehicle cabin adapted from Opel Astra IV body, purchased by Motor Transport Institute. Furthermore, simulator is equipped with dedicated devices which allow conducting research on driver's behaviour which is not possible to conduct in real traffic situations due to the safety issues. Researcher can record parameters related to driver's activities, which could be next analyzed and combined with data received from other external instruments. AS1200-6 can be used also for drivers training in dangerous conditions e.g. learning how to react to the abnormal behaviour of other road users or pedestrians and learning how to drive in different weather conditions. This paper gives an overview of the hardware and software components as well as of the research possibilities that are aimed at making transportation safe and clean. The results of the research are very important especially for the road safety. The simulator enables simulation of dangerous traffic situation in the safe virtual environment.

Opis:: Cableways have some potential to be used in urban public transportation, particularly uni-directional aerial cable cars with circulating cabins, called gondolas. They have several advantages, but two major problems must be solved: the capacity and the operating speed are not competitive when compared to other means of urban mass transport because of boarding procedures and slowing down and accelerating on intermediate stations. In this paper constructional solutions are presented. Boarding takes place on at least two platforms; these could be on the same level or on separate levels. At intermediate stations certain cabins are diverted to the extra platform while the majority of cabins travel with unreduced speed. Following this constructional approach, the nominal capacity of gondolas could be doubled while increasing the operational travel speed on lines with lot of intermediate stops.

Opis:: Największy udział w zaspokajaniu potrzeb transportowych w przewozach ładunków w Polsce i Europie ma transport samochodowy. Udział ten systematycznie rośnie, towarzysząc wzrostowi ogółu przewozów. W 2005 roku udział transportu samochodowego w pracy przewozowej wykonanej przez polskie przedsiębiorstwa w transporcie ładunków ogółem wyniósł 52,5%, natomiast w 2011 roku wartość ta wzrosła do 69,9%. W ostatnich latach zauważyć można dynamiczny rozwój elektronicznych giełd transportowych oraz platform przetargowych oferowanych dla branży transportowej. W artykule opisane zostały zasady ich funkcjonowania, a także korzyści i zagrożenia wynikające z ich użytkowania. Dokonano przeglądu dostępnych serwisów oraz charakterystyki wybranych.
Polish motor transport market is characterized by a high level of supply-side subjective dispersion. In 2011, more than 25,000 motor transport enterprises engaged in the international transport of goods were recorded in the country, of which approximately 90% were the entities whose car park did not exceed ten vehicles. The use of traditional tools of contact with transport companies in order to select a specific carrier (e.g. trade catalogs, phone, or fax) can make it difficult to reach satisfactory offers, increasing the operating costs of business activity. Necessary arrangements enabling the sharing of information on the market are provided by the electronic B2B market (business-to-business). Online tools increase the possibility of reaching a large number of customers and provide better adaptation of the agreements to the current needs. Most frequently these are the directories ofoffers with the possibility of performing various searches (e.g. Keyword Search), auction services, and online platforms enabling the conclusion of the short-or long-term contracts. In recent years, we could also observe a dynamic growth of the online freight exchanges, and tender transport platforms. This paper describes the principles of operation of such tools and the benefits and risks associated with their use. There has also been a review and characterization of a selection of sites.

Opis:: W ramach udziału w Radzie ds. Mobilności, która jest organem opiniodawczo – doradczym Prezydenta Wrocławia, autor miał sposobność zapoznać się z bieżącymi potrzebami m.in. transportu tramwajowego. W odpowiedzi na to zapotrzebowanie w niniejszym artykule zostały opisane wybrane, względnie łatwe do realizacji postulaty wprowadzenia usprawnień systemowych i punktowych. Niektóre z nich, jak na przykład rozjazdy dużych prędkości czy krzyżownice głęboko-rowkowe, stosowane są za granicą od dziesięcioleci, natomiast inne, jak regulowana krawędź peronowa, mają charakter eksperymentalny. W pracy opisano cechy charakterystyczne wybranych rozwiązań, ich proponowany zakres stosowania oraz spodziewane efekty usprawniające funkcjonowanie transportu tramwajowego w mieście.
Due to the fact that author participate in Council for Mobility which is an advisory body for the President of Wroclaw, the author had a chance to become acquainted with current needs of tramway transportation service. This paper brings proposals of answers to some of the issues that can be handled in relatively easy way. Some of these, as high speed turnouts or turnout crossings equipped with deep grooves are known abroad for decades, some however, as the device for reducing platform gap, are at experimental stage. In the paper characteristic features of chosen solutions are described, their range of use is proposed and expected impact on tram transport functioning is estimated.

Opis:: In the industrial indoor transport various devices are used. Recently, the means of transport which use air cushions are more and more popular. Air cushions are particularly useful for transporting heavy loads and devices over the hardened, smooth floor. The air cushions can be directly put under the load. Then, the load is raised of the small height and displaced. The friction force between air cushion and the floor is very small. Therefore, the load can be moved by the operator. The other case of using air cushions in industrial transport is mobile platform with suitable number of air cushions instead of wheels. One of the most important problems in this case is adjustment of the transportation force in individual air cushion. An automatic control system of the transportation force has been proposed in this work. A mobile platform with four air cushions was considered. The pressure in each air cushion was regulated separately in the feedback loop. Two types of control algorithms have been investigated: the standard PID controller as well as the fuzzy logic controller. The investigations contained two cases of platform load. In the first case the load was distributed uniformly on the platform. In the second case load of two air pads was decreased and load of two other was increased. Construction of the platform, mathematical models of the controllers and results of investigations have been presented in the paper.

Opis:: In the paper the dynamic analysis of a gantry crane used for transporting of BOP (BlowOut Preventer) is presented. The crane is placed on a drilling platform. Sea waves cause motion of the platform and the load. Description of such systems can be used in the design process of control systems which allows us to compensate waving. Homogenous transformations and joint coordinates are used to describe behavior of the system. Equations of motion are derived using the Lagrange equations of the second order. In the paper the results of numerical calculations are presented as well.
W pracy przedstawiono model dynamiczny suwnicy bramowej przeznaczonej do transportu ładunku zwanego BOP (BlowOut Preventer). Suwnice tego typu montowane są na statkach lub platformach wiertniczych. Falowanie morza powoduje niepożądane ruchy ładunku, wpływające na pracę suwnicy. Podjęto zatem próbę opisu dynamiki układu, która umożliwiła zbadanie wpływu falowania na zachowanie układu. Do opisu zastosowano formalizm transformacji jednorodnych i współrzędne złączowe. Równania ruchu układu wyprowadzono stosując równania Lagrange’a II rodzaju. Przedstawiono wyniki symulacji numerycznych.

Opis:: W Wojskowej Akademii Technicznej w Katedrze Mechaniki i Informatyki Stosowanej opracowano projekt prototypowej wersji wagonu do przewozu kombinowanego z obrotową platformą niskopodłogową, która stwarza możliwość łatwego i szybkiego autonomicznego załadunku, a następnie przewozu i autonomicznego rozładunku naczep samochodów ciężarowych typu TIR bez konieczności inwestowania w rozwój infrastruktury dodatkowej (szczególnie peronu). Konstrukcja ta może być używana także do transportu różnego typu pojazdów, takich jak ciągniki, ciężarówki, przyczepy, kontenery, ciężki sprzęt. W pracy przedstawiono modyfikacje konstrukcyjne, które wykonano w odniesieniu do wersji pierwotnej wagonu. Opisano także założenia logistyczne w zakresie rampy peronu i dotyczące organizacji ruchu samochodów ciężarowych, załadunku oraz rozładunku naczep. Przedstawiono budowę peronu oraz jego elementy składowe.
A prototype model of a wagon with a low rotating floor for combined transport was designed at the Department of Mechanics and Applied Computer Science, Military University of Technology. The designed wagon allows for easy and fast independent loading and then transportation, and independent unloading of semitrailers of truck type vehicles without investing in the development of spare infrastructure, such as a platform. The construction may be also utilised for the transport of various types of vehicles, such as tractors, trucks, trailers, containers and heavy equipment. The paper presents constructional modifications which were carried out in respect to the original model of the construction. It also discusses logistic assumptions concerning both the loading and unloading of semitrailers as well as the organisation of truck traffic in the area of the platform. The construction of the platform and its elements are presented.

Obecnie oprogramowanie do projektowania rozkładów jazdy stanowią zaawansowane technologicznie systemy informatyczne oferujące możliwości szczegółowego projektowania sieci komunikacyjnych, automatycznego generowania kursów, zadań dla pojazdów i kierowców, symulacji ruchu pojazdów w sieci i analityki kosztów operacyjnych systemu transportowego. Systemy rozkładowe zasilają w niezbędne dane inne systemy miejskie m.in. systemy informacji pasażerskiej, dystrybucji biletów, systemy sterowania i kontroli ruchu, systemy ITS i wiele innych. W pracy przedstawiono istotne cechy nowoczesnego systemu projektowania rozkładów, stanowiącego jednocześnie platformę integracyjną systemów informatycznych komunikacji miejskiej.
Time table is the basis for the logistics and the fundamental IT system in an urban public transport. Nowadays the software for time table design are the advanced technology IT systems which offer possibilities of detail transit network design, automatic generation of vehicle trips, vehicle and driver tasks, simulation of vehicle traffic in the network and analysis of operational cost of transport system. Actually time table systems provide necessary data to other urban systems as passenger information systems, ticketing, traffic monitoring and control, ITS and others. In the article an important functionalities of modern timetabling system, forming simultaneously integration platform of IT systems in city public transit have been presented.

Opis:: The object of the research is a cheap, easy to build basic module with dimensions corresponding to typical railway containers. Such structures can be used to support the intermodal rail-road transport of wooden and metal logs. The basic structure and one assembled from two or more platforms with various longitudinal dimensions ensures high mobility resulting from the modular structure and the possibility of selecting transport configurations as well as the use of various forms of loading - unloading, including: typical crane operations, the use of forklifts or hook winches. The use of a platform-container will eliminate the need to repeat the operation of individual loading or unloading of each unit of the transported load e.g. a single block of wood, a bundle of bars, as a metal log, a single pipe, during each reloading operation - from the place of logging, production, storage, etc. The paper presents selected problems of the preliminary design and numerical strength tests of a single base module of the platform in a prototype version with dimensional equivalent of a 10'-foot railway container.
W pracy przedstawiono wybrane problemy wstępnego projektowania pojedynczego modułu bazowego platformy, odpowiednika wymiarowego 10’ stopowego kontenera kolejowego w wersji prototypowej. Badania wytrzymałościowe innowacyjnej konstrukcji wspomagane są metodami numerycznymi. Omówiono metodykę takich badań z wykorzystaniem MES i metod multibody MBS, zastosowane modele numeryczne oraz wybrane wyniki symulacji komputerowych odpowiadających krytycznym, najbardziej wytężonym wariantom eksploatacyjnym zastosowań platformy np. do załadunków hakowych.
