Opis:
In contrast to traditional systems for monitoring fault of the running gear of the rolling stock, this paper proposes a technology of noise control at the onset of defects. The authors consider the possibility of creating an intelligent system that can perform noise diagnostics with the indication of the beginning of the latent period of the initiation of typical defects preceding faults. To this end, using the noise technology, sets of reference informative attributes are created in the training process. The reference sets, in turn, are used to determine the condition of the object at the beginning of the development of defects by comparing them with current noise estimates. It also allows controlling the dynamics of the development of defects.

Opis:
Transport infrastructure objects are exposed to a large number of loads, which cause the formation of displacements, bends, wear, cracks, breakdowns, corrosion, and other defects. It is shown that at the moment of initiation of malfunctions in objects, the noise of the noisy signals coming from the corresponding sensor takes critical values that correlate with useful signals. Therefore, algorithms are developed for calculating the probability of random noise accepting critical values, a coefficient of correlation between the critical values of the noise and the useful component, and a relay cross-correlation function. Technologies for monitoring the technical condition of transport infrastructure objects are proposed based on the estimates of the developed noise characteristics. Computational experiments are conducted, and the reliability of the developed algorithms and technologies is confirmed.

The current legal provisions in range the admissible levels of noise in environment are presented in paper. The manners of defining of the admissible levels of noise in environment are also showed. The methods and manners of effective protection against the excessive transportation noise are characterized. The influence of the transportation noise on the living organisms is also presented in paper.

Artykuł opisuje problem hałasu emitowanego przez tabor kolejowy. Hałas przedstawia się jako zjawisko dźwiękowe oraz problem dla człowieka w XXI wieku. Szczegółowo omawiane są dwa główne źródła hałasu kolejowego: hałas toczenia oraz hałas aerodynamiczny. Zaprezentowane zostały wyniki pomiarów hałasu emitowanego przez pociągi Pendolino. Badania wykonano w 2013 r. na linii kolejowej numer 4. Przeanalizowano wpływ zespołu trakcyjnego na klimat akustyczny. Nowe pociągi zostały porównane do obecnie eksploatowanego taboru.
The article describes the problem of noise emitted by rolling stock. The noise is presented as a phenome-non of sound and the problem for a man in the twenty-first century. These are the sources of railway noise: rolling noise, curve squeal, bridge noise, aerodynamic noise, ground noise and internal noise. The results of the tests Pendolino train recorded in 2013 on the railway line number 4 were presented. Analysed the effect of the traction unit on the acoustic climate. The new trains were compared to currently operated rolling stock.

Niniejszy artykuł składa się z dwóch części: teoretycznej i praktycznej. W części teoretycznej przeanalizowano m.in. przyczyny powstawania hałasu z uwzględnieniem warunków eksploatacyjnych taboru i konstrukcji torowiska. W ramach części praktycznej zrealizowane zostały badania natężenia hałasu generowanego przez transport kolejowy w wybranym punkcie aglomeracji szczecińskiej. Przeprowadzone badania miały na celu ustalenie klimatu akustycznego w obszarze linii kolejowej numer 406 w Szczecinie. Punkt pomiarowy znajdował się przy ulicy Nad Odrą na odcinku pomiędzy stacjami Szczecin Glinki oraz Szczecin Gocław, gdzie w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie infrastruktury kolejowej, znajduje się zabudowa mieszkalna.
Paper discussed the reasons of noise produced during transit of cargo by rail. Autors alsoshow the results of survey done in selected point along railway line number 406 between Szczecin Główny and Police,where in the immediate vicinity railway infrastructure are residential buildings.

This paper describes questions, which are connected with possibility of obtaining the dispersion of traction and transport vehicles (TTV) noisiness computation on the stage of its development. Experimental data shows that noise around TTV and at operator workplace has wide dispersion of values for even one model produced by one factory at the same time. It concerns practically every type of TTV – new and with some operating time, at mass, individual and serial producing, and at similar operation conditions. Mathematical functions for determination of dispersion mentioned above in dependence on confidence interval of various sources noisiness were obtained. The general method for assessment of probabilistic dispersion of estimated noisiness results is presented. This general method for probabilistic dispersion of computational evaluation of TTV noisiness consists of next stages: assessment of dispersion (confident interval) of acoustic power of each separate noise source; determination of computational function (choice or compiling formulas for computation); determination of dispersion (confident interval) for sound absorption coefficients and other independent variables; determination of partial derivatives for computational function on each independent variable; obtaining of functional dependence of result dispersion of input factors (arguments); calculating of numerical assessment value of TTV noisiness determination result.

The noise generated by aircraft during departure and arrival flight operations continues to be significant problem at most major airports. Environmental impacts due to aviation operations in the vicinity of airports have become a serious concern to the community. A variety of techniques can be employed to reduce the noise impacts of aircraft. Continuous Descent Approach (CDA) is the new promising technique, which can significantly reduce noise impact by keeping aircraft higher and at lower engine thrust for longer by eliminating the level segments in conventional "step down" approaches. These procedures (implemented in different ways) are fixed routes that are vertically optimized. With the changing traffic, conditions and variable noise abatement rules the benefits of CDA operations are not yet fully realized. Actually, at many airports, CDA techniques are implemented for environmental improvements. This article presents the concept of optimized CDA. The modified flight procedure has been shown in measurement and analysis for Warsaw International Airport example. In this demonstration test, the procedure was shown to reduce the A-weighted noise level for the selected location along the flight path for different aircraft. Depending on aircraft type, the noise benefit from a CDA compared to a conventional approach was up to about 9.5 decibels (this change is noticeable to the human ear). Measurements have shown that Continuous Descent Approach have the potential for significant environmental benefits including reductions in noise.

The last few decades have been characterised by the rapid development of technology and various industries around the world, as well as increasing levels of urbanisation. The development of technology has resulted in the emergence of many inventions, vehicles and equipment. This has resulted in many unforeseen consequences generating threats to the environment in which humans’ function. One of these hazards is the noise emitted by vehicles. For this reason, environmental protection was created in response to threats to human existence (this work is to determine the level of noise resulting from traffic transportation in the city of Pila. In order to achieve the given objective in the city, sound values will be adopted and an acoustic map will be developed on their basis. A large amount of noise in the city of Pila is caused by road transportation, but from the results of the study it can be said that it is minimally exceeded only on two streets by less than five decibels and on three other streets where it is equal to the permissible noise value. The main places where the most noise is generated are two-lane roads and traffic lights and roundabouts. A lot of noise is generated when there are a large number of vehicles slowing down and starting in these places. A very big plus in the fight against noise in Pila is public transportation.

W artykule omówiono zagadnienie wpływu transportu lotniczego na środowisko naturalne. Jako podstawę rozważań przyjęto pojęcie zewnętrznych środowiskowych, obejmujące emisję hałasu oraz wpływ operacji lotniczych na jakość powietrza i zmianę klimatu. Hałas lotniczy jest najbardziej uciążliwy dla mieszkańców obszarów przyległych do lotnisk i stanowi główną barierę dla rozwoju infrastruktury lotniczej. Zanieczyszczenia emitowane przez statki powietrzne powodują wiele chorób oraz przyczyniają się do przedwczesnej śmiertelności. Operacje wykonywane na lotniskach zasadniczo wpływają na stan powietrza na obszarach do nich przyległych, jednak najnowsze badania wskazują, że emisja związków szkodliwych na wysokościach przelotowych, również wpływa na jakość powietrza. Powyższy fakt wymusza prace legislacyjne, mające na celu prowadzenie kontroli emisji związków szkodliwych w całym zakresie użytkowania statku powietrznego.
Paper discussed the issue of the impact of air transport on the environment. As a basis for deliberations adopted the concept of external environmental costs, including noise and the impact of airport operations on air quality and climate change. Aircraft noise is the most troublesome for the residents of areas adjacent to the airport and is a major barier to the development of aviation infrastructure. Pollution emitted by aircraft cause a number of diseases and contribute to premature mortality. Operations performed at airports are essential to the condition of the air in the areas adjacent to them, but recent research indicates that emissions of harmful compounds at higher altitudes, also affects air quality. This fact forces the legislative work aimed at carrying out the emission of harmful compounds in the entire range of the aircraft operation.

This article aims to draw attention to the hitherto unexplored and scarcely noticed the problem of the effects of the consumption of increasing amounts of energy to human health and ecosystems exposed to emissions processed in the phase of energy consumption. Ever-increasing amounts of energy are consumed in relatively small areas of highways. Reference is made to the results of pioneering research on the impact of emitted sound energy by transport routes and by industrial noise on human health (Borzyszkowski 2010). This was clearly found to increase in people exposed to prolonged acoustic wave energy. The results of the effect of noise on human health clearly indicate the need for further research in this field. It should be emphasized that although the research and evaluation conducted by the Institute for Environmental Protection and Proeko CDM Ltd., which have been presented in this article, are pioneering and include an analysis of the cause-and-effect phenomenon, they do not, however, indicate the mechanism of the effect of noise on human health. The category rating of disease symptoms caused by the noise indicates that the key to clarifying the influence of the energy supplied to the organisms of people on the way of acoustic waves on their health may be forced supplied energy changes of biochemical reactions occurring in humans.

The aim of the paper was an attempt at application of multiple- criteria analysis for planning public transport system. Methodological rules of an assessment of public transport systems were presented, including: defining variants and coherent family of criteria. Modelling decision-maker’s preferences and seeking the most desirable solution.
