    The main purpose of this paper is to show a statistical evaluation of the sustainable development issues at the transport enterprises level. Initial considerations are devoted to the discussion of theoretical issues related to sustainable development businesses. The main part of the article is devoted to the statistical analysis of the sustainable development of Polish transport companies. The results of the study made it possible to assess that the sustainable development of transport companies in 2009-2015 takes place. This development is more rapid compared to the average development of the entire enterprise sector. The average level of the indicator of sustainable development of transport enterprises in the whole analysed period it amounted to 0.89. At the same time, it should be noted that economic development is accompanied by improvement of conditions and quality of work and reduction of negative impact on natural resources.

    The aim of the paper is to analyze features of the air transport enterprises’ human capital management (HCM) policies in Poland and Ukraine and work out the appropriate conclu‑ sions. An analysis of theoretical approaches to the enterprise HCM policy was performed in the article. A comparative analysis of a turbulent environment factors and its impact on human capital management of the leading airlines in Poland and Ukraine was made. The HCM policy top priority objectives of Polish and Ukrainian airlines in crisis conditions are analyzed by comparing the current situation. The article covers the analyzed period before the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine.

    Transport is one of the key elements allowing to achieve goals, tasks and plans. Transport need results from the necessity of moving from one place to another. To make it happen, the resource in the form of a means of transport is necessary. Another aspect is organizational actions. The basic source of transport demand is diversity of distribution of the factors allowing to run business. Due to globalization of economy, range and frequency of transports have considerably increased. New logistic chains, networks of terminals and intermodal connections are being created every year. The goal of all these actions is to reduce transport costs and improve the whole process. The authors of this article set a goal of defining the role of optimization of transport costs using a consolidation service. Conducted analysis confirmed that consolidation services reduce the costs of transport of small cargos.

    The article proposes a three-dimensional model for evaluating the effectiveness of the investment strategy of the enterprise. The offered model is developed taking into account features of activity of the motor transport enterprise. The model is based on an integrated indicator of performance evaluation, in determining which it is proposed to take into account such factors as the quality of the strategy, the quality of the mechanism for implementing the strategy and strategic effectiveness.
    W artykule zaproponowano trójwymiarowy model oceny efektywności strategii inwestycyjnej przedsiębiorstwa. Oferowany model jest rozwijany z uwzględnieniem specyfiki działalności przedsiębiorstwa transportu samochodowego. Model oparty jest na zintegrowanym wskaźniku oceny efektywności, przy ustalaniu którego proponuje się uwzględnić takie czynniki, jak jakość strategii, jakość mechanizmu wdrażania strategii oraz skuteczność strategiczna.

    W artykule omówiono problem wpływu poziomu rozwoju społeczno-ekonomicznego w Polsce na stabilność finansową przedsiębiorstw transportowych.     Paper discussed the impact of the level of socio-economic development in Poland on the financial stability of transport enterprises. Theoretical issues related to the company's financial security and socio-economic development of the country were presented. The statistical relationship between the analyzed categories was examined using the Pearson linear correlation coefficient and CLS estimation.

    This paper focuses on the significance of organizational culture for innovation network performance. Furthermore, our aim is to present the results of the research on attributes and models of organizational culture adopted by members of innovation networks. The research was conducted within Polish aviation industry, namely among members of one of three aviation innovation networks. During the research the quantitative approach was adopted using univariate analysis aimed at describing the distribution of considered, cultural variables. The research results indicate that members of innovation networks are characterized by flexibility and external strategic orientation to the greatest extent. Furthermore, based on the identified cultural features characteristic for network members it was possible to find out that their organizational culture models are the most convergent with clan culture and the least consistent with hierarchy culture.

    Problem lokalizacji baz transportowych wywołany kosztowymi wymiarami podatku od środków transportowych pojawia się jako efekt strategicznej decyzji kształtowania tego podatku przez ciążące – do obszaru działania przedsiębiorstw transportowych – jednostki samorządu terytorialnego. Wobec możliwości do pewnego stopnia elastycznego kształtowania poszczególnych stawek podatku od środków transportowych przez jednostki samorządu terytorialnego kierownictwo przedsiębiorstw transportowych stara się optymalizować ostateczny poziom wydatków finansowych, wynikających z tego elementu fiskalizacji. Na tym tle można badawczo zidentyfikować standardowe i organizatorskie, a jednocześnie adaptacyjne i aktywne zachowania przedsiębiorstw transportowych, mając na celu ustalenie ich stosunku do problemu alokacji własnych baz taborowych w kontekście uciążliwości kosztowej podatku od środków transportowych.
    The problem of own cost estimation and pricing of transport services can be considered on several levels. Without a doubt, one of the key activity factors shown by transport companies management is the carriage market domain they represent and co-create. The analysis of economic subjects behavior in these domains of transport production show an active attitude towards costing and pricing mainly in passenger transport companies. The motor vehicles tax is one of the main cost factors of those enterprises. Its different form in various local government units can be a subject of an analysis on whether this financial expenditure confirms the preset standard of active behavior of the enterprises. The detailed research problem is set upon the inquiry on whether the motor vehicle cost and the systematic possibilities of its active forming can lead to a change of location of hauler companies headquarters and therefore whether it confirms the ability of transport enterprise to elastically create their unitary costs.

    The authors studied the managing principles for running a modern transport enterprise. In research process the experience and results of foreign scientists were analyzed and different company management tools were compared. Special focus is given to ecological approach due to crucial relevance of environmental problem. In this connection, the importance of Toyota technologies and BOST method, created by a Polish scientist Borkowski S., is emphasized. The research has been carried out for transport enterprises, which are high-demand in any country of the world. The case study is the largest Russian railway company - JSC Russian Railways. As the result, the guidelines to the improvement of management principles for JSC Russian Railways have been developed.
    Autorzy badali zasady zarządzania związane z prowadzeniem nowoczesnego przedsiębiorstwa transportowego. W procesie badawczym przeanalizowano doświadczenie i wyniki zagranicznych naukowców i porównano różne narzędzia do zarządzania firmą. Szczególną uwagę poświęca się podejściu biologicznemu ze względu na kluczowe znaczenie dla problemu ochrony środowiska. W tym względzie podkreślone jest znaczenie technologii Toyota i metody BOST, stworzonej przez polskiego naukowca S. Borkowskiego. Badania przeprowadzone zostały dla przedsiębiorstw transportowych, które są dużym zapotrzebowaniem w każdym kraju na świecie. Studium przypadku to największa rosyjska firma kolejowa - JSC Rosyjskie Koleje. W efekcie, opracowane zostały wytyczne do poprawy zasad gospodarowania dla Rosyjskich Koleji JSC.

    The article describes the division and functions of internal transport in production logistics and internal transport systems. Its characteristics and main assumptions were presented. An internal transport analysis of the selected manufacturing company was performed. Selected results of the research in the production company were presented using the PFMEA method. Through the use of PFMEA analysis, the causes of the errors encountered during transport in the company were identified and corrective measures proposed, so that the transport system fulfills its role, does not interfere with the production process, and ensures safe movement of cargo.
    W artykule opisano podział i funkcje transportu wewnętrznego w logistyce produkcji oraz systemy transportu wewnętrznego. Dokonano jego charakterystyki i przedstawiono główne założenia. Dokonano analizy transportu wewnętrznego wybranego przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjnego. Zaprezentowano wybrane wyniki badań w przedsiębiorstwie produkcyjnym wykorzystując między innymi metodę PFMEA. Poprzez zastosowanie analizy PFMEA zidentyfikowano przyczyny błędów występujących podczas transportu w przedsiębiorstwie oraz zaproponowano działania korygujące, tak aby system transportu spełniał swoją rolę, nie zakłócał procesu produkcji, jak również zapewniał bezpieczne przemieszczanie ładunków.

    Internal transport is one of the areas of business functioning directly related to the area of production. The work carried out analyzes data on one of the areas of internal transport functioning in the company, which included the transport of load units between individual buildings in the plant, including the time required for the means of transport to load and unload the load units. The examples presented show that very often the loading or unloading process could take much less time than it actually is, and that the amount of transported units per day would be much higher without the need for changes in the means of transport or their parameters through process integration.
    Transport wewnętrzny jest jednym z obszarów funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa bezpośrednio związanym z obszarem produkcji. W pracy przeprowadzono analizę danych dotyczących jednego z obszarów funkcjonowania transportu wewnętrznego w firmie obejmującego transport jednostek ładunkowych pomiędzy poszczególnymi budynkami w zakładzie z uwzględnieniem czasu oczekiwania środka transportu na załadunek oraz rozładunek jednostek ładunkowych. Zaprezentowane przykłady pokazują, że bardzo często proces załadunku lub rozładunku mógłby trwać o wiele krócej niż trwa w rzeczywistości, a ilość transportowanych dziennie jednostek ładunkowych byłaby znacznie większa bez konieczności zmian w ilości środków transportu lub ich parametrach poprzez integrację procesów.

Zmiany strukturalne, prawne i organizacyjne miały na celu doprowadzenie do prywatyzacji tych przedsiębiorstw a to z kolei miało wzmocnić ich konkurencyjność na krajowym i międzynarodowym rynku transportowym.

    Głównym celem artykułu było przedstawienie metody podejmowania decyzji wyboru sposobu transportu na przykładzie wybranego przedsiębiorstwa. Metodą doboru celowego wybrano do badań jeden obiekt, tj. przedsiębiorstwo zajmujące się odbiorem odpadów. Materiałami do badań były literatura przedmiotu, dokumentacja przedsiębiorstwa, obserwacja uczestnicząca jawna, wywiad kierowany z pracownikami. Do analizy i prezentacji zgromadzonych materiałów wykorzystano metodę opisową, tabelaryczną, graficzną, mapowanie procesów, analizę kosztów. Badania dowiodły, że istniejący system organizacji transportu wymaga usprawnień. Przedsiębiorstwo do obsługi gmin wykorzystywało wszystkie pojazdy o różnych zabudowach, co powodowało, że auta wracały niepełne i ponoszono wysokie koszty paliwa. Badania wykazały, że transport odpadów w przeliczeniu na punkt odbioru samochodem o ładowności 10 m3 był tańszy niż pojazdem o ładowności 23 m3.
    The presentation the decision-making method concerning the selection of the mode of transport based on the example of the selected enterprise was the main purpose of the work. A single object was selected for the research, ie. waste collection company. Sources of materials are literature of the subject, company documentation, participant observation, interview with employees. The descriptive, tabular, graphical, process mapping, cost analysis were used to analyze and present the collected materials. Examinations showed that the existing organization system of the transport required improvements. The enterprise used all vehicles for the service of communes about different buildings what it caused, that cars had been returned incomplete and high costs of fuel were being incurred. Examinations showed, that transport of waste in converting into the collection point by car for capacities 10 m3, was cheaper than by vehicle for capacities 23 m3.

    The main goal of this paper is analysis the range of differentiation in the level of the ability of the transport, forwarding and logistic enterprises to obtain and maintain the financial condition which is favourable for continue their business activity. For the realization of fundamental goal of the article it has been put the research hypothesis stating that forwarding companies retain a higher level of operational financial security in relation to other companies from the TSL sector. The recognition of this diversification range of the analysed variable has been done with using of the basic descriptive statistics (i.e., the mean and median) and Kruskal-Wallis Test in SPSS.

    In the reference books one can find information about a lot of models for forecasting financial threat for Polish enterprises. These models vary as they use different measures of evaluation. However, there are very few cases in which measures using data from a cash flow statement are used. The main goal of the paper is to create a model for evaluating of operational financial threat of enterprise from TSL sector using both accrual and cash measures. The accomplishment of this objective is justified by a need for empirical research on mixed models of the evaluation of operational financial threat of enterprises i.e. based on both accrual and cash measures.

    This article is poised to explain the significance, analyze and understand the relationships that are established between partners of a strategic alliance. The analysis conducted was modeled on the example of airline alliances. Airlines decide on operating as alliances due to economic benefits which they would not be able to reach on their own. In the result of their cooperation, these entities produce beneficial synergistic effects. It should be noted that by starting cooperation within an alliance, those entities still remain competitors. The analysis provides a comparison of three largest airline alliances: Star Alliance, SkyTeam and Oneworld. The article contains a summary of the most important conclusions of the analysis.
    Celem artykułu jest objaśnienie istoty, analiza i poznanie związków, jakie zachodzą pomiędzy partnerami aliansu strategicznego. W przeprowadzonej analizie za model przyjęto przykład aliansu lotniczego. Przedsiębiorstwa lotnicze decydują się na działalność w formie aliansu, ponieważ osiągają korzyści ekonomiczne, których nie byłyby w stanie uzyskać samodzielnie. W wyniku współdziałania podmiotów zachodzi pozytywny efekt synergii. Podejmując współpracę w formie aliansu, należy pamiętać, że przedsiębiorstwa współdziałają, pozostając równocześnie konkurentami. W analizie dokonano porównania trzech największych aliansów lotniczych: Star Alliance, SkyTeam oraz Oneworld. Artykuł zawiera zestawienie najważniejszych wniosków przeprowadzonej analizy.

    In the article the impact of the structure of pipeline transportation systems on the efficiency of their operation is examined. It is shown that, depending on the assumed structure, transport systems can be characterized by different performance characteristics. It is established that the structure of the system influences the development of the aging process and decrease system performance. Recommendations on the choice of the structure of systems that can be used at the design stage are given.
    Рассмотрены вопросы влияния структуры трубопроводных транспортных систем на эффективность их функционирования. Показано, что в зависимости от принятой структуры, транспортные системы могут характеризоваться различными эксплуатационными показателями. Установлено, что структура системы оказывает влияние на развитие процессов старения и снижение эффективности функционирования систем.

    The main goal of this article is identification of dependence between cash and accrual returns on total assets and sales of enterprises from TSL sector in the years 2004–2009, together with an identification of determinants of this dependence. The research hypothesis which was put in this article that there is no significant positive correlation between accruals and cash returns on assets and sales in the investigated companies was confirmed. The recognition of dependence between rates of return on both an accrual basis and a cash flow basis has been done with using of the Spearman's rank correlation.

    W artykule przedstawiono planowanie transportu drogowego w przedsiębiorstwie rolnym z wykorzystaniem systemu GPS do rejestracji pracy środków transportowych i oceny efektywności transportu wewnętrznego i zewnętrznego. Badania przeprowadzono w przedsiębiorstwie rolnym podczas zbioru pszenicy ozimej, rzepaku ozimego i kukurydzy na ziarno z całkowitej powierzchni 460 ha. Pola rozmieszczone były od centrali w promieniu 10,75 km. Do przetransportowania było łącznie 4479,8 t. Na podstawie otrzymanych wyników zostały obliczone czasy trwania kursu z ładunkiem i bez ładunku, czas obrotu, wielkość potoku towarowego i prędkość eksploatacyjna oraz techniczna.
    The article presents road transport planning in an agricultural enterprise using a GPS system for recording the work of transport means and assessing the efficiency of internal and external transport. The research was carried out in an agricultural enterprise during winter wheat harvest, winter rape and corn for grain from a total area of 460 ha. The fields were located from the headquarters within a radius of 10.75 km. A total of 4479.8 tons were transported. On the basis of the results obtained, the duration of the course with and without cargo was calculated, the turnover time, the size of the freight stream and the operational and technical speed.

    Prawidłowo funkcjonujące i rozwijające się miasto wymaga sprawnego transportu. W ruchu miejskim dominujący jest transport pasażerski, na który składa się transport publiczny i indywidualny. Transport publiczny powinien być jednak konkurencyjny w stosunku do indywidualnych środków transportu. Jednym z elementów zapewniających sprawne funkcjonowanie transportu publicznego jest jego infrastruktura. W artykule przedstawiono analizę funkcjonowania wybranego fragmentu infrastruktury transportu zbiorowego. Istnieje wiele programów służących do symulacji procesów transportowych. Ze względu na istotne podobieństwo zachodzących procesów w pętli autobusowej i transporcie wewnętrznym postanowiono wykorzystać do rozwiązania problemu program Enterprise Dynamics. W tym celu opracowano przy wykorzystaniu programu Enterprise Dynamics model analizowanego obiektu i na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań symulacyjnych przeprowadzono szereg analiz dotyczących jego funkcjonowania.
    A properly functioning and developing city requires efficient transportation. Urban transport is dominated by passenger transport, which consists of public and private transport. However, public transport should be competitive with individual means of transport. One of the elements ensuring smooth functioning of public transport is its infrastructure. The article analyzes the functioning of the chosen part of the public transport infrastructure. For this purpose, Enterprise Dynamics software was used to develop the model of the analyzed object. A number of analyzes have been carried out on the basis of the simulations.

    W artykule zostaną przestawione technologie stosowane w informatyce jako jeden z najważniejszych instrumentów wpływających również na zarządzanie transportem w przedsiębiorstwie. Dodatkowo zastosowanie narzędzi telematycznych umożliwi optymalizację łańcucha dostaw wewnątrz przedsiębiorstwa. Opracowany zostanie model matematyczny bazuje na fuzji klasyfikatorów rozmytych z teorią probabilistyki i teorii ewidencji matematycznej. W badaniach udowodniono, że miękkie metody obliczeniowe bazujące min. na zbiorach rozmytych i sztucznych sieciach neuronowych są odpowiednie dla zadania sterowania łańcuchem logistycznym, a wspomaganie narzędziami telematycznymi usprawni zarządzanie w przedsiębiorstwie.
    The purpose of the research is to provide telematics system architecture. The technologies used in computer science are one of the most important instruments also affecting transport management in an enterprise. They may assist the utility of the system, its accessibility, the level of integration and substantially influence the performance of a company. The use of telematics tools will make it possible to optimize the supply chain within the company. This optimization applies to sales forecasting, which affects the material demand, production, etc. A mathematical model has been developed, which is based on the fusion of fuzzy classifiers with the theory of probability and the theory of mathematical evidence. The data affecting sales are, amongst other: delivery lead time, sales records, customer satisfaction, delivery compliance rate, delivery speed ratio, supply excellence ratio, lead times between order taking and delivery, etc. The study has proven that soft calculation methods based on fuzzy sets and artificial neural networks are appropriate for the tasks of the logistics chain control, and the support of telematics tools will improve the management of an enterprise.

    Przedstawiona w artykule problematyka wiąże się z występowaniem luki badawczej w zakresie prowadzenia rachunku ekonomicznego skutków powstawania nowej infrastruktury drogowej na lokalizację działalności przedsiębiorstw. Temat został przeanalizowany przez autora ponieważ obecnie przedsiębiorstwa rzadko dokonują szczegółowych obliczeń kosztów transportu, nie mówiąc o określaniu redukcji kosztów danego przedsiębiorstwa związanych z modernizacją lub budową nowej infrastruktury drogowej. Celem badawczym przedstawionym w artykule jest określenie tego wpływu. Inwestycje infrastrukturalne są obecnie niezwykle istotne, zwłaszcza dla rozwoju poszczególnych regionów kraju i przedsiębiorstw tam działających. W prezentowanym artykule autor skupia się na przedsiębiorstwach zlokalizowanych na terenie Polski Wschodniej. Przy obecnym stanie rozwoju infrastruktury drogowej region ten jest nadal słabiej rozwinięty infrastrukturalnie względem pozostałych regionów kraju. Należy dążyć do tego aby jak najszybciej ukończyć szkielet podstawowej sieci infrastruktury drogowej, ponieważ domykanie sieci dróg ekspresowych i autostrad jest czynnikiem mnożnikowym gospodarczego rozwoju regionów. Pierwsza część artykułu przedstawia pokrótce kwestie związane z inwestycjami infrastrukturalnymi i znaczenie czynnika transportu. W drugim rozdziale zaprezentowano rozważania teoretyczne na temat metod rachunku ekonomicznego skutków inwestycji drogowych dla przedsiębiorstw. Ostatnia część artykułu to element empiryczny, w którym opisane zostały reprezentatywne przykłady trzech przedsiębiorstw. Przeprowadzone badania pokazują, że da się określić szczegółowe wartości redukcji kosztów, które są bezpośrednio związane z działalnością danego przedsiębiorstwa oraz budową lub modernizacją infrastruktury drogowej. Wykazana zależność pozwala na tworzenie indywidualnych rekomendacji praktycznych dotyczących działalności przedsiębiorstwa, jego rozwoju czy lokalizacji placówek w związku z rozszerzaniem bądź relokacją działalności.
    The issues presented in the article are related to the occurrence of a research gap in the field of economic calculation of the effects of new road infrastructure on the enterprises operations. The presented topic was analyzed by the author because currently, companies rarely make detailed calculations of transport costs, not to mention, calculation of the reduction of costs for a given company related to the modernization or construction of a new road infrastructure. The purpose of research which is described in the article is to indicate this impact. Infrastructure investments are currently extremely important, they concern the development of various regions of the country and the enterprises operating there. In the presented article, the author focuses on enterprises located in Eastern Poland. With the current state of road infrastructure development, this region is still less developed as compared to other regions of the country in this aspect. Basic road infrastructure network should be completed as soon as possible, because connecting of the express roads and motorways in the whole road network could multiply positive effects of the economic development of regions. The first part of the article briefly presents issues related to infrastructure investments and the importance of the  transport factor. The second chapter presents theoretical considerations on economic calculation methods of the effects of road investments for enterprises. The last part of the article is an empirical part in which representative examples of three enterprises are described. The conducted research shows that it is possible to determine the detailed cost reduction values that are directly related to the activities of a given enterprise and the construction or modernization of road infrastructure.     W artykule zostały omówione warunki oraz powiązania przedsiębiorstw przemysłu spożywczego z otoczeniem rynkowym w oparciu o systemowe i strukturalne ujęcia tych zjawisk, na tle potrzeb i warunków zapewnienia jakości produktów żywnościowych. Ocena tych procesów pozwoliła na określenie zadań także w sferze transportu żywności, ważnego ogniwa systemu dystrybucji.
    Conditions and connections of food plants with marketing based on their systematical and structural expression against a background of needs and conditions of food quality assessment were discussed in the paper. Estimation of these processes allowed to define tasks of transportation which is important link of distribution chain.

    Główny powód działań podejmowanych przez funkcjonujące na rynku firmy - zarówno małe,  jak i duże -  to chęć osiągnięcia sukcesu. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest prezentacja czynników sukcesów w działalności małego przedsiębiorstwa w skomplikowanych realiach gospodarczych. W opracowaniu  wskazano na  specyfikę prowadzenia działalności transportowej w segmencie pasażerskich przewozów drogowych oraz na  procesy dostosowania się  do rynku podmiotów małych i mikro, wpływające na  ich  konkurencyjność. Postawiono tezę, że  dla małej  firmy  niewątpliwym sukcesem jest  sam  fakt  przetrwania i utrzymania się  na  rynku oraz  jej  stopniowy rozwój ilościowy i jakościowy. Aby potwierdzić tę tezę,  posłużono się  przykładem małego, rodzinnego przedsiębiorstwa ze środkowo-wschodniej Polski, które świadczy usługi przewozu osób w transporcie drogowym. W artykule scharakteryzowano również regionalny, pasażerski transport drogowy w Polsce, jego konkurencję i prawne uwarunkowania, które decydują o podjęciu się zarobkowego przewozu osób. Na podstawie przeglądu literatury w tekście omówiono definicję sukcesu i kryteria jego   oceny.  Zaprezentowano także  wybrane małe przedsiębiorstwo, przeprowadzono analizę SWOT i określono determinanty sukcesu tej  firmy na rynku. Mogą  one  być wykorzystane w dalszych badaniach czynników sukcesu mikro i małych firm zajmujących się  zarobkowym przewozem osób w transporcie drogowym.
    The main reason for activities undertaken by SMEs and large enterprises on the market is the intention of gaining success. The aim of this article is to present factors of success in the activity of small enterprises in complicated economy conditions. Presented here are the specific character of transportation activity in passenger traffic and the process of adaptation of SMEsto conform with market expectations, which influences their development and competitiveness. A thesis has been formulated that the market success of SMEs is the very fact of their survival and presence on the market, as well as their gradual development in regard to quality and quantity. To confirm thisthe example has been presented of a small family business, located in middle eastern Poland, specialising in the transport of passengers.Regional passenger transport on the Polish market has also been characterised in the article, along with the competitiveness and conditioning of professional passenger transport. The article contains definitions of the success of SMEs and evaluation criteria. It includes a presentation of small enterprises with a SWOT analysis and determination ofsuccess. These factors can be used in subsequent research work on success factors of SMEs in the passenger transport branch.

    The aim of the article is to analyse the importance of respecting the principles of corporate social responsibility in activities of enterprises from the Transport, Freight and Logistics sector and present the influence of implementation of this concept by Transport, Freight and Logistics enterprises on their cooperation with the examined production, commercial and service enterprises. The first part of the article presents the theoretical aspects of corporate social responsibility of Transport, Freight and Logistics enterprises, the second describes author's own research methodology and analysis of the results concerning selected aspects of cooperation of the examined enterprises with Transport, Freight and Logistics enterprises.

    В статье проводится оценка пригодности однокритериевого метода оптимизации структуры транспорта продуктов внутренней кооперации с точки зрения ее пригодности в процессе принятия хозяйственных решений в многоцеховом предприятии мебельной промышленности. Была проведена также проверка метода оптимизации структуры кооперационного транспорта для системы радиального и окружного транспорта, а также метода оценки разных вариантов локализации производственной базы. Проверка позволила определить процедуру подготовки исходных данных для расчетов, подтвердила правильность построенных математических мвделей и указала на дополнительные условия и адаптационные возможности.
    Suitability of the one-criterion optimization method of the transport structure of inner cooperation products from the viewpoint of its usefulness in the process of taking economic decisions in a many-factory furniture industry enterprise is estimated in the paper. Also verification of the optimization method of structure of the cooperative transport for the system of radial and circumferential transport as well as the estimation method of different variants of location of the production base has been performed. This verification enabled to determine the procedure of preparation of input data for calculation, confirmed correctness of the constructed mathematical models and indicated additional conditions and adaptational possibilities.

    Opis:
    We present a novel study concerning the attitudes of road transport enterprises towards a broad application of telematics in operational management in road transportation. The study aims to assess telematics application in road transport and its changes over time while showing the factors most likely to determine the systems’ use. Unobserved categories defined in the technology acceptance model (TAM) are adjusted to measure perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitudes toward using telematics systems by road transport managers. The study is based on 323 transport enterprises analyzed in two waves in 2020 and 2021. The use of two different time points is motivated by an observed increase in the digitalization of transport documents caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The empirical findings support the TAM’s usefulness in evaluating IT in transport business management. The findings also reveal that the significantly increased telematics use in 2020 was observed while it was endured. The results are checked for robustness and used for simulations. The study compares managers’ behaviors over time and simulates the effect of individual (observed) variables on unobserved TAM categories.

    W obecnej sytuacji rynkowej, w sektorze usług przy wysokiej konkurencyjności pomiędzy firmami, zachodzi konieczna potrzeba identyfikacji, kontroli i umiejętnego zarządzania kosztami. Jednym z takich obszarów, gdzie koszty transportu stanowią znaczący udział jest transport żywności. Ponieważ każdy produkt zanim trafi na sklepową półkę musi przebyć długi łańcuch dystrybucyjno-logistyczny w czasie. Na każdym jego etapie muszą być zapewnione ściśle określone warunki. To właśnie mnogość przepisów sanitarno-transportowych i zapewnienie odpowiednich warunków jakościowych sprawia, że sprawne zarządzanie transportem decyduje o przewadze konkurencyjnej danego przedsiębiorstwa w branży. Dlatego też, optymalizacja kosztów transportu w tym obszarze działalności może przyczynić się do zwiększenia sukcesu ekonomicznego danego przedsięwzięcia.
    Considering the high level of competitiveness of the current market situation in the service sector, it is important to identify, control and manage costs. Transport costs represent a considerable part of food costs. Before you see a product on store shelves, you have to take into account that the logistics and distribution processes take a great deal of time and the right quality conditions must be satisfied, since there are many sanitary and transport rules involved. Efficient transport management increases the competitiveness of a business, and therefore, optimization of transport costs in this area may allow a business to achieve greater economic success.
