    Opis:
    This paper introduces a new current mode component called Modified Current Differencing Transconductance Amplifier (MCDTA). Important parameters of the circuit i.e. input resistance, z terminal resistance and transconductance of the output stage can be tuned electrically. The circuit can be implemented in linear and non-linear analog signal processing. The paper presents an example of the MCDTA application - a complete quadrature oscillator with the amplitude regulation. The functionality of the example circuit and its tuning capability were proved by the SPICE simulation results.

    Opis:
    In this paper, the MOS differential pair driven simultaneously from gates and bulk terminals is described. An approximated analytical solution of the voltage to current transfer function has been found for the proposed circuit. Four possible combinations of gate and bulk connections of the input signal are presented. Basing on the configuration giving the best linearity, the operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) has been designed and compared, by computer simulations, to the amplifier utilizing the gate driven classic MOS pair. 3rd order filters using the OTAs with linearized and simple MOS pair have been designed and the resulting parameters have been compared. Linearization through the presented simultaneous use of gate and bulk terminals seems to be useful for low voltage applications.

    Opis:
    This paper presents a new realization of a first-order mixed-mode (Voltage input Current output) (MM) all-pass filter (APF) using the recently proposed modern active building block (ABB), namely the Voltage Differencing Voltage Transconductance Amplifier (VDVTA). The MM APF is made using minimum number of components, namely a single VDVTA and one grounded capacitor. The circuit does not use any external resistors and offers the advantages of current-tunable pole frequency, low input impedance and high output impedance. PSPICE simulation results are included to verify the workability of the circuit.

    Opis:
    This paper discusses a mem-capacitor circuit which is based on two MO-OTA along with a multiplier and 4 passive elements. This circuit is a charge-controlled memcapacitor emulator which is independent of any memristor also it consists the feature of electronic tunability. Additionally, this circuit is simpler and uses less hardware because it lacks a mutator and uses fewer active-passive components. The circuit behaviour is justified through various simulations in cadence Orcad tool with 180nm CMOS TSMC parameters. Additionally, conclusions from simulations and theory are validated experimentally through commercially available IC.

    A steady-state model of partially-depleted (PD) SOI MOSFETs I-V characteristics in subthreshold range is presented. Phenomena, which must be accounted for in current continuity equation, which is a key equation of the PD SOI MOSFETs model are summarized. A model of diffusion-based conduction in a weakly-inverted channel is described. This model takes into account channel length modulation, drift of carriers in the "pinch-off" region and avalanche multiplication triggered by these carriers. Characteristics of the presented model are shown and briefly discussed.

    Opis:
    W pracy przedstawiono dwójnikową syntezę oscylatorów kwadraturowych, gdzie poprzez zastosowanie rezystancji ujemnej zależnej od częstotliwości (FDNR – Frequency Dependent Negative Resistance) uzyskano oscylator rzędu n = 3. Ponadto zaproponowano metrologiczną aplikację oscylatora kwadraturowego o n = 3 zbudowanego z wykorzystaniem trzech wzmacniaczy typu OTA o sterowanych transkoduktancjach do jednoczesnego przetwarzania zmian dwóch składowych impedancji dwójników RC.
    The paper presents the two-port synthesis of quadrature oscillators in which there was obtained a third order quadrature oscillator by use of a FDNR (FDNR - Frequency Dependent Negative Resistance) resistance. There is proposed the metrological application of the third order quadrature oscillator, based on three operational transconductance amplifiers (OTA), for simultaneous processing of changes of two RC two-port impedance components to frequency. The example use of this oscillator is measurement of chosen impedance components {C0;tgδ0} of the measured object. The converter enables simultaneous measurements of these two parame-ters, where changes of the capacity C0 value correspond to changes of the pulsation ω0 value, and changes of the dielectric dissipation factor tgδ0 value correspond to the rise or the fall of the amplitude of generated signals. Due to its proprieties, the proposed RC two-port parameter changes converter can be used for constructing a comparator circuit, of the general block diagram presented in paper [5], for testing dielectrics.

    W pracy przedstawiono propozycję nowego rozwiązania przetwornika zmian parametrów (G,C) i (C, tgδ) dwójnika RC pozwalającego w oparciu o układ oscylatora kwadraturowego rzędu trzeciego na jednoczesny pomiar dwóch parametrów, przy czym zmianom jednego z parametrów odpowiadają zmiany wartości pulsacji sygnału wyjściowego przetwornika, natomiast zmianom wartości drugiego z parametrów – odpowiednio – wzrost lub spadek wartości amplitudy generowanych sygnałów. Opisano także zalety i wady zaproponowanego rozwiązania.
    In the aper the proposal of new solution of RC two-port (G,C) and (C, tgδ) simultaneous parameter changes – to – frequency converter is presented. The converter is based on third kind quadrature oscillator (see Fig.2) where one of the measuring two-port parameters is converted into frequency, however second parameter changes - suitably converted – to the growth or the fall of amplitude value U1 or U2 of generated signals. The detailed processing variants for Y0 or Y1 admittance changes (G0,C0) (variant A), (G0,tgδ0) (variant B) and (G1,C1) (variant C) are presented in the Table 1. As a result of analysis was affirmed that every relative changes |ΔG0/G0|, |Δtgδ0/tgδ0| or |ΔG1/G1| of measured admittance Y0 or Y1 have conversion coefficient equal to unity to the relative voltage changes |ΔU1/U1| or |ΔU2/U2|. The advantage of proposed converter solution is the easy setting of impedance / admittance changes – to – frequency conversion constant K, described by equations (8a) and (8b), respectively. Recapitulating, the proposed converter solution according to Fig.2 is suitable to processing of (C0, tgδ0) RC two-port component changes (see conversion variant B according to Table 1).

    W pracy przedstawiono opis struktur nowej klasy przetworników parametrów dwójników RC, np. (R,C) lub (C,tg δ), pozwalających w oparciu o układ oscylatora kwadraturowego rzędu trzeciego na jednoczesny pomiar tych dwóch parametrów, przy czym zmianom jednego z parametrów odpowiadają zmiany wartości pulsacji sygnału wyjściowego przetwornika, natomiast zmianom wartości drugiego z parametrów – odpowiednio – wzrost lub spadek wartości amplitudy generowanych sygnałów. Opisano wybrane warianty realizacji układowych, a także zalety i wady analizowanej klasy przetworników.
    In the paper the proposal of new structures of simultaneous two parameter changes of two-port RC network converter with frequency output is presented. The converter is based on third order quadrature oscillator (see Fig.1) where one of the measuring two-port parameters is converted into frequency (see Eq. (1b)), however second parameter changes – suitably converted – to the growth or the fall of amplitude value U1 or U2 of generated signals (see Eqs. (2a) – (2c)). The detailed processing converter variants depended on choice of component impedance parameters (for parameter description - see Fig.1) from the set: {(R0,C0),(R1, C1), (R2,C2), (C0,tgδ0 ), (C1,tg δ1), (C2,tg δ2)}. Recapitulating, the proposed converter solution according to Fig.2 is suitable to processing of (C0, tgδ0) RC two-port component changes. In peculiarity, for case tg δ= tgδ1=tg δ2=ω0RC, the conversion equations are simplifying to the form described by Eqs. (3a) and (4b). The A and B analyzed converter realization variants using the "star - triangle” transformation are presented on Fig.2a,b and Fig.3a,b too. Both variants A and B are characterized however by systematic error δ described by Eq. (5). The advantage of proposed optimal converter realization variant B is the smaller value of error δ in comparison with variant A (see Eq.(6) and Fig.4).

    In the paper the generalized model of simultaneous new two parameter {(R;C), (C; tgδ=ωRC), (G;C); (C; tgδ=G/ωC)} changes (of two-port RC given in form Z = R+1/jωC or GC network given in form Y = G+jωC) converter with frequency output is presented. The converter is based on third order quadrature oscillator (see Fig.1a,b) where one of the measuring two-port parameter (C) is converted into frequency ω , however second parameter changes (R, G, tgδ) – suitably converted – to the growth or the fall of amplitude value U1 or U2 of generated signals.
