The article concentrates on the attitudes of the future teachers toward their profession. We were interested in what kind of information about their future profession (together with prejudice, stereotypes etc.) the students have and how they feel about it from their personal perspective. We used a questionnaire with 69 items Likert scale. 34 men and 104 women, all of them university students of teacher training, represented the respondents. They live in villages, small and big cities; their parents are (are not) teachers, they have (have not) a certain teacher as a model. Female students, who have a model and parents who are teachers, have more realistic attitudes towards their profession, but altogether we have obtained the results of positive attitudes of the respondents towards the job from the whole group, which is a good ground for them.

This article presents the importance of the Gospel in the life of consecrated persons according to the teaching of the Church from Paul VI to Francis. The teaching of Popes Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis point to the Gospel as the norm and rule of consecrated life. There are many points of convergence in the teaching of the post-conciliar popes on the evangelical character of the consecrated life. This issue is a clear example of the continuity of the teaching of the Church. Each of the Popes emphasizes their thought slightly differently, but they all unequivocally demand that consecrated persons be fully faithful to the Gospel. Because of the contemporary crisis of the consecrated life, these recommendations acquire particular significance and constitute a necessary signpost for the future.

W artykule autor podejmuje kwestię rozumienia islamu jako religii przez Benedykta XVI. Zauważając, że papież w czasie swego pontyfikatu poświęcił wiele uwagi muzułmanom, analizuje jego wypowiedzi, by odpowiedzieć na pytanie o status islamu jako religii w nauczaniu Kościoła. Za punkt wyjścia autor przyjął rozumienie religii jako związku człowieka z Bogiem, którą konstytuują następujące elementy: doktryna, zasady życia moralnego, kult, organizacja. Autor wykazuje, że trzy pierwsze elementy są wyraźnie obecne w wypowiedziach Ojca Świętego, zwłaszcza zagadnienia związane z zasadami życia moralnego, zaś element organizacyjny jest tylko implikowany. Ponieważ Benedykt XVI mocno akcentuje, że pojęcie religii, w tym także islamu, nie może być łączone z przemocą, autor poświęca temu zagadnieniu osobny punkt. Przedstawia w nim myśl papieża, który odrzuca przemoc jako zafałszowanie i wypaczenie religii. Ostateczniemautor dochodzi do wniosku, że w świetle przemówień Ojca Świętego do muzułmanów, można przyjąć, iż rozumie on islam jako religię w podanym wyżej znaczeniu. Jednak przemówienia papieża są też podstawą do kolejnego wniosku, a mianowicie że nie we wszystkichmwspólnotach muzułmańskich islam jako religia się realizuje.
The article shows the problem of the Islam as it is understood by Pope Benedict XVI. As we can see, the Pope paid a lot of attention to the Moslems during his pontificate. The author analyses his statements concerning the Islam to answer the question about the status of the Islam as religion in the teaching of the Church. The understanding of religion as connection between man and God, was taken by the author as the point of departure for that. The following elements are the essential parts of that concept: the doctrine, principles of moral life, worship and organization. The author indicates that the first three elements are clearly present in the statements of the Holy Father, especially issues connected with the principles of moral life, whereas the organization is merely implied. Because Pope Benedict XVI stresses strongly that the concept of religion as a whole and the Islam as well cannot be connected with violence, the author dedicates a separate point to that issue. He presents in it the idea of the Pope, who rejects violence as a distortion of religion. Ultimately the author draws the conclusion that he himself assumes an attitude towards religion that is similar to that one of the Pope in the light of his statements. It leads, however, to a further thought that the Islam is not realized as religion in all Moslem communities.

The article discusses the factors determining the occurrence of voice emission problems, including internal, external, and psychosocial ones. It was proposed to distinguish the psychological / psychosocial factors as a separate group. The results of the research conducted among teachers (N = 265) in schools in the Silesian provinces show how psychological factors affect the self-assessment of voice (emotional, functional, and physical, measured by means of the Voice Handicap Indexscale); these factors are: the level of perceived stress (PSS10), anxiety (STAI I and II – anxiety as a trait and anxiety as a state), self-assessment (SES) and life satisfaction (SWLS). The article describes the results of original research on the dependence of psychosocial factors and voice disability.

The paper investigates three issues surrounding the field of comparative education, namely the place of comparative education in teacher education, the question as to whether the field should be transformed into comparative and international education, and acknowledgement of the place of Comenius as one of the fathers providing an inspiring vision and ideal for the field. The paper finds that in view of the current momentous societal changes and educational expansion in the world, there is a compelling case for the field of comparative education to be transformed into comparative and international education, furthermore, that to equip teachers for their role as professionals in this world a place for comparative and international education in teacher education programmes is essential; and thirdly, that due recognition should be given to the place of Comenius as a trailblazer in providing the rationale for the field of comparative and international education.

In this paper, the issue of teaching professional aviation subjects in the field of higher education air transport was ad‐dressed. We present some research results in the field of didactics of professional aviation subjects, teaching effectiveness, motivation and evaluation of students in education. In this work we present some approaches to the development of didactics of professional subjects in Slovakia. We state that the subject of didactics is the student, teacher and knowledge forming the didactic tri‐angle. Didactics of professional subjects examines the possibilities of transforming the knowledge of technical scientific disciplines into the content of education, didactic systems, teaching projects and the studentʹs knowledge. We researched the area of didactics of professional aviation subjects with a focus on motivating students to study. We managed to involve a large sample of students in the research, which helped us in‐crease the objectivity of the results. Based on the research results, we recommend some measures to increase the quality of higher education of students in the field of air transport. The motivating goal for our research is to support the quality of education at the Faculty of Aeronautics of the Technical University of Košice.

The present study introduces – from a certain point of view - the Hungarian version of the competence-based pedagogy training that meets the current EU expectations. This competence-based training shows several results of projects that aim at developing pedagogy talents and focus on professionalism, emphasizing the importance of professional motivation. This training form, using the developing method of identifying oneself with the teaching profession, tries to discover what prior and what available and what kind of new motivational factors - during the active period of teacher training - assure successful preparation for effective and qualitative professional activity.

The oldest civilized societies already knew that the national system of safety required places of isolation for those who committed acts which violated legal order. However, none of the first legal orders considered religion to have educational impact. The most important task of every priest offering their ministry in the isolation of prison is the conversion of those deprived of freedom. The reality in which they have to work may be compared to the Tower of Babel which brings together perpetrators of various offences. A man has always been brave, heroic and courageous but also weak “errare humanum est”. Sometimes a man breaks the law in such a way that they deprive themselves of the most precious thing, i.e. freedom. Every society is subject to political and economic considerations. The teaching of the Church also includes the image and understanding of a man. John Paul II very strongly supported this idea. For him, a man was the most important fundament of social life. According to him, the democratic order could not be based solely on the compliance with the law but it also had to take into account the concept of a man, their welfare and possibilities. Despite their downfall, prisoners do not lose their inborn dignity and they remain human. Their dignity needs to be respected, although it does not mean that their humanity is disrupted. Rehabilitation should make a man rediscover themselves and experience their dignity despite the fact that they had hurt somebody. In many cases the committed crime is irreversible, as no one is able to bring a man back to life or cure somebody who has been badly hurt. However, it does not mean that the improvement and conversion of an individual, a man, is impossible. In his teaching, John Paul II often pointed to the importance of a fundamental goodness which is present in every man. Despite a sin and an internal conflict a man cannot destroy it and, thanks to it, they are capable to differentiate between the good and the bad. The words of John Paul II, said to the convicted in the prison in Plock in 1991 during his 4th Pilgrimage to Poland, were of significant importance: “Each one of you may become a saint with the help of God’s grace”.

Purpose. The objective of this study is to suggest and demonstrate the feasibility of a new learning model and compare learning outcomes due to the traditional and developed learning models. Methods. The advantages of the developed model are proved in accordance with  statistical processing of the pedagogical experiment results using Statistica. The experiment involves 786 students who are aged 13-14 and study in grades 7-8. The time parameters of the duration of individual elements of the lesson in the traditional learning model are consistent with the methodological literature (Horonovska & Samsonova, 1985; Sadovyi, Vovkotrub, & Tryfonova, 2013). Results. The methodology of selecting generic content units (GCUs) from the subject content and their division into theoretical (TCUs) and experimental (ECUs) content units is elaborated. The total time of all TCUs gives the duration of the teaching process while the time of all ECUs is the duration of the knowledge process acquisition, and the time of GCUs is the duration of the learning process. The result of the GCUs presentation offers two learning models: traditional (sequential) and developed (parallel) ones. Conclusions.    The broad implication of the present research is that the developed "parallel" model allows using the time effectively for practical students’ research work at physics lessons, and enables to give better learning outcomes, use individual and group forms of learning with observance of individualization and differentiation learning principle. This model assists in building pedagogical teaching technologies for different subjects.

The subject of the article is the issue of the youth religious education at vocational secondary schools after the school reform which was carried out in Poland after 1932. There are two main lines considered in this article, namely; transfer of the truths of faith and moral and religious upbringing. The first one is connected with passing on the dogmatic and ethical contents, and the other one is connected with the religious formation. In this way the teaching program of religion shows students theoretical and practical hints which influence the quality of the Christian life. It does not only concern shaping the Catholic worldview and motivating to practice the faith, but also upbringing to fulfilling jobs with the respect of law and the Christian values.

The purpose of the article is to present the issue of the use by the episcopal conferences of optional norms of the Code of Canon Law in the scope of the munus docendi of the Church. The Code obliges or enables episcopal conferences to issue norms complementary to the Code of Canon Law, among others regarding the teaching office of the Church. In three cases, the Code provides for the issuance of possible arrangements for an episcopal conference regarding the munus docendi of the Church (canon 755 § 2, 766, 804 § 1). The author presented and evaluated the provisions of selected episcopal conferences in the field of the teaching office of the Church. The whole article concludes with a summary and bibliography.

The article presents the situation of lower secondary education teachers in Europe on the basis of international comparative analyzes. The main symptoms of the crisis in the teaching profession was outlined. The professional burnout among Polish teachers was pointed out and the growing social requirements towards this professional group were emphasized. The diagnosis of the condition of teachers was made on the basis of data contained in the report of the European Commission Teachers in Europe (2021). Several significant aspects of the working life of lower secondary school teachers were highlighted, such as the shortage of teachers in schools, the aging of this professional group, the outflow of teachers from the profession, and working conditions. The conclusions of the analyzes indicate the need to increase the attractiveness of the teaching profession to young people.

8 grudnia 2020 r. z okazji 150. rocznicy ogłoszenia przez bł. Piusa IX św. Józefa Patronem Kościoła katolickiego Ojciec święty Franciszek opublikował list apostolski o św. Józefie pt. Patris Corde i ogłosił w całym Kościele Rok św. Józefa od 8 grudnia 2020 r. do 8 grudnia 2021 r. Artykuł przedstawia obecność świętego Józefa – Patrona Kościoła w nauczaniu papieży (oprócz Benedykta XVI), począwszy od Piusa IX, który 8 grudnia 1870 r. oddał Kościół pod opiekę Cieśli z Nazaretu, Oblubieńca Maryi Panny, Opiekuna Syna Bożego. Dekretem Qemadmodum Deus, korzystając z wielowiekowej tradycji pobożnościowej i teologicznej w Kościele katolickim, Pius IX położył podwaliny pod dalszy rozwój nauczania Magisterium o św. Józefie. Wszyscy papieże zgodnie potwierdzają, że argumentem za ogłoszeniem św. Józefa Patronem Kościoła było sprawowanie posługi opiekuna Świętej Rodziny, małżeństwo z Maryją i czuwanie nad bezpieczeństwem i wychowaniem Syna Bożego. Święta Rodzina z Nazaretu już zawierała w sobie zaczątki Kościoła, zatem patronat nad nim jest dla św. Józefa przedłużeniem misji otrzymanej od Boga wobec Jezusa Chrystusa, Głowy Kościoła i Maryi, Jego Matki. Misja św. Józefa nie kończy się na ziemi, ale trwa w niebie przez całe dzieje Kościoła.
On December 8, 2020, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the announcement by Bl. Pius IX, St. Joseph a Patron of the Catholic Church The Holy Father Francis published an apostolic letter about St. Joseph entitled Patris Corde and proclaimed the Year of St. Joseph from December 8, 2020 to December 8, 2021. The article presents the presence of Saint Joseph – the Patron of the Church in the teaching of the Popes (except Benedict XVI), starting with Pius IX, who on December 8, 1870, entrusted the Church to the care of the Carpenter of Nazareth, the Bridegroom Of the Virgin Mary, Guardian of the Son of God. By the decree of the Qemadmodum Deus, Pius IX laid the foundations for the further development of the teaching of the Magisterium on St. Joseph. All popes agree that the argument for declaring St. Joseph, the patron of the Church was the ministry of the guardian of the Holy Family, marriage with Mary, and watching over the safety and upbringing of the Son of God. The Holy Family of Nazareth already contained the beginnings of the Church, so the patronage over it is for St. Joseph, an extension of the mission received from God to Jesus Christ, Head of the Church and Mary, His Mother. St. Joseph does not end on earth, but continues in heaven throughout the history of the Church.
