Quality of life (QoL) is strongly influenced by an individual’s health. The lack of population studies measuring the QoL of people with physical disabilities (PD) and people who are deaf and hard of hearing (D/HH) encouraged us to consider conducting this research. The aim of this study was to compare the satisfaction with quality of life indicators (QoLI) and domains (QoLD) between people with PD and people who are D/HH. This study included 315 individuals with disabilities, concretely with PD and hearing impairments. Participants were divided into two groups based on participation in physical activities: active (people with PD, n=73; people who are D/HH, n=52) and inactive (people with PD, n=77; people who are D/HH, n=113). The second part of Subjective Quality of Life Analysis (S.QUA.L.A.) between active and inactive members with disabilities was used. The Pearson chi-square test was used to determine the differences in satisfaction with 23 QoLI and 5 QoLD (general health, physical health and level of independence, psychological health and spirituality, social relationships and environment) between the two groups (active and inactive) within each population with disabilities. We found significant differences between active and inactive people with PD only in 3 from 23 QoLI and only in one from 5 QoLD. On the other hand active people who are D/HH presented significant higher satisfaction with 11 QoLI and with 4 QoLD as well as significant higher level of overall QoL (p<.05) comparing inactive individuals with the same disability. This evaluation of the satisfaction with QoLI and QoLD by S.QUA.L.A. shows that it is a suitable tool to asses QoL in the population with different kinds of disabilities. The results of our study confirmed that regular participation in sport increases QoL, especially in people who are D/HH.

The value of money depends on the subjective value of other goods that can be obtained in exchange for it.The central element in the subjective theory of money value is the concept of objective theory of money. Both the subjective use-value of money and subjective exchange value of money are derived from its objective exchange value.Subjective valuation of money is possible on the assumption that the money has a  certain objective exchange value i.e. the possibility of obtaining certain quantity of other economic goods in exchange for a  given quantity of money. The past objective value of money is always linked with is present and future valuations. The first objective exchange value of money was the value which the goods used as money possessed at the moment when they first used as common media of exchange.

Opis:
The aim of this article is to draw attention to TV reportage as a message that tries to convey the truth about the human being and the world to the viewer. The reportage is treated as a journalist message in which the subjective narrative of the producer (reporter) shapes their work. The reportage can therefore be treated as a „text” which is a reliable description of reality as well as a work and a manifestation of artistry. The English version of Wikipedia (the so-called free encyclopedia) includes the term „narrative journalism” and characterizes it as containing verified and reliable information conveyed by the media. The media coverage produced by a journalist-reporter must therefore present true stories, in which the creator does not resign from the principles of dramaturgy and subjectivization. All journalist measures, however, focus on the superior function, which is an attempt to tell the truth about important issues, covering various areas of life – from politics through economy, science, racial problems to family relations and internal conflicts that people experience. The characteristic of „narrative journalism” thus evokes the genre features of reportage. This genre is creatively cultivated by the most eminent journalists of all the media – the press, radio and television. The article highlights the work by Monika Meleń and Barbara Włodarczyk, whose reportage presents the truth about the human and the world.

Celem artykułu jest ukazanie zależności między nadwyżką dochodów rozporządzalnych nad wydatkami a oceną własnej sytuacji materialnej gospodarstw domowych. Dodatkowo zostanie zobrazowane zróżnicowanie poziomu realnych dochodów, realnych wydatków oraz nadwyżki między tymi zmiennymi dla gospodarstw domowych z poszczególnych grup społeczno-ekonomicznych w Polsce. Dodatkowo w celu przeprowadzenia analizy subiektywnej oceny sytuacji materialnej gospodarstw domowych skonstruowano indeks subiektywnej oceny sytuacji materialnej. Do badania wykorzystano dane z badania budżetów gospodarstw domowych przeprowadzonego cyklicznie przez GUS. Okres badawczy obejmował lata 2003–2013. Na podstawie prze-prowadzonych badań stwierdzono, że istnieje znacząca zależność oceny własnej sytuacji materialnej gospodarstw domowych od poziomu uzyskiwanej nadwyżki dochodów nad wydatkami (współczynnik korelacji wyniósł 0,778 dla 2003 r. i 0,862 dla 2013 r.) oraz silna zależność (współczynnik korelacji 0,925) między zmianami oceny własnej sytuacji materialnej gospodarstw domowych a zmianami uzyskiwanej nadwyżki. Dodatkowo stwierdzono, że najwyższą nadwyżkę dochodów nad wydatkami nie osiągały te gospodarstwa, które odnotowywały najwyższe dochody. W 2003 r. najwyższą nadwyżkę odnotowano dla gospodarstw pracowników na stanowiskach nierobotniczych i robotniczych, a w 2013 r. w gospodarstwach rolników i pracowników na stanowiskach nierobotniczych. Największe zmiany nadwyżki w badanym okresie nastąpiły w grupie gospodarstw rolników. Pomimo tego, że nadwyżka realnych dochodów nad wydatkami wzrastała w całym badanym okresie, to można zauważyć, że od 2010 roku subiektywna ocena własnej sytuacji materialnej spadała w gospodarstwach domowych pracowników (zarówno na stanowiskach robotniczych i nierobotniczych) i pracujących na własny rachunek.
The aim of this paper is to show the correlation between the surplus of household's available income per capita over expenditures compared with the subjective assessment of household’s financial standing in Poland. Additionally, the diversification of real income, real expenses and surplus of the said variables at households from certain socio-economic groups in Poland was shown. Additionally, to evaluate subjective assessment of financial statement of households, the index of subjective assessment of financial standing was constructed. The data on household’s budgets obtained regularly by GUS was applied to carry out this study. The study was carried out from 2003 to 2013. The data shown there is a significant correlation between household’s own assessment of financial standing and surplus of income over expenditures (correlation coefficientin 2003 was 0.778 and in 2013 it was 0.862) as well as strong correlation (correlation coefficient was 0.925) between the changes in household’s own assessment of financial standing and changing surplus. Additionally, it was determined that the highest surplus of income was not produced by households with the highest income. In 2003, the highest surplus was produced by white- and blue-collar workers, while in 2013 by farmers and white-collar workers. The most considerable changes within the time of study occurred in farmers’ households. Although the surplus of real income over eexpenditures was increasing within the time of study, it was noticed that from 2010 on the subjective assessment of financial standing was decreasing in the households of workers (both blue- and white-collar) and those self-employed.

The principle of anthropocentrism, being the basis of human cognitive activity, detects the subject’s central position in the fictional universum. Possessing verbal fixation the subjects of the fictional text, the Narrator and the Character, interacting with each other form a subjective narration model. The stages of the subject’s representation in the fictional text related to the lack of knowledge of communicators’ field in general, are formally reflected in the sequence of nominations. The classic narration based on the maximum connectivity of its component elements, should tend to such a type of organization of the co-referential nominations’ rows, which would let the narratee clearly identify the object throughout the text. The deviances in the co-referential nominations’ rows, which occur in the non-classic narration, provoke referential interpretation and lead to the increment of text entropy. Basing on Vladimir Nabokov’s stories, two types of egocentric introductions in the co-referential nominations’ rows have been detected, based on the narration manner. The first type is reflected within the context of third-person narration, when a deictic first-person pronoun introduces itself with the identical reference as a proper noun, an anaphor, a substantive expression, into the sequence of character’s nominations. The second type is reflected in the first-person narration, it is related to the introduction into the sequence of nominations of a character not involved in the communication, a deictic second-person pronoun. “Egocentric explosions” in the co-referential nominations’ rows represent one of the most effective stylistic devices of the non-traditional narrative formation. They lead to the narrative mode switching providing stereoscopic effect.

W ciągu ostatnich kilkudziesięciu lat problematyka jakości życia stała się przedmiotem zainteresowania zarówno teoretyków, jak i kreatorów życia społecznego. W badaniach uwzględnia się często dwa wymiary tej jakości: subiektywny i obiektywny. Prezentowany artykuł porusza problematykę subiektywnej jakości życia. Jego celem jest diagnoza dobrostanu psychicznego mieszkańców Łodzi. Empirycznym wyznacznikiem analizowanego wymiaru jakości życia stały się pytania o ogólne zadowolenie z życia oraz o satysfakcję z poszczególnych dziedzin i sfer życia, takich jak: rodzina, dochód, warunki mieszkaniowe, możliwość zaspokojenia potrzeb itp. Eksploracyjna analiza badanego zjawiska pozwala ustalić poziom subiektywnej jakości życia badanej zbiorowości. Dodatkowo podjęta zostaje próba sprecyzowania jego atrybutywnych uwarunkowań.
In the last few decades, the topic of quality of life has been of interest to the theorists as well as social life animators. Many studies consider two dimensions of this quality: subjective and objective. The present paper discusses the problem of subjective quality of life. Our aim is to diagnose the mental well-being of Lodz residents. Questions about general life satisfaction and satisfaction in particular fields and spheres of life such as: family, income, housing, ability to fulfil one’s needs, etc., have become the empirical determinant of the analyzed dimension of quality of life. An exploratory analysis of the studied phenomenon allows us to determine the level of subjective quality of life of the studied community. In addition, we attempt to determine the attributive conditions of the phenomenon.

Determinanty zadłużenia gospodarstw domowych były przedmiotem wielu badań naukowych, w których za kluczowy czynnik wpływający na zadłużenie uznawano dochód, ponieważ warunkuje on zdolność kredytową w bankach. Jednocześnie w dziedzinie finansów behawioralnych wskazuje się na znaczenie czynników subiektywnych w podejmowaniu decyzji finansowych. Celem badania omawianego w artykule jest weryfikacja wpływu subiektywnej oceny sytuacji materialnej, zwanej samopoczuciem finansowym, na zadłużenie gospodarstw domowych. Badanie przeprowadzono na podstawie danych wtórnych Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego i Narodowego Banku Polskiego za lata 2009–2020, z zastosowaniem regresji liniowej, w której zmiennymi objaśnianymi były szeregi czasowe związane z zadłużeniem, a zmiennymi objaśniającymi – szeregi czasowe związane z dochodem i samopoczuciem finansowym. Badanie potwierdziło, że odpowiednie uwzględnienie subiektywnej oceny sytuacji materialnej pozwala na lepsze modelowanie zadłużenia niż sam dochód rozporządzalny. Wynika z niego również, że chętniej zadłużają się osoby oceniające swoją sytuację materialną jako bardzo dobrą niż te, które uważają, że ich sytuacja materialna jest przeciętna. Dodatkowo wraz ze wzrostem oceny samopoczucia finansowego spada zadłużenie gospodarstw domowych w walucie obcej.
The determinants of household debt have been the subject of many scientific studies where income was identified as the key factor influencing debt. This is because income determines creditworthiness in banks. At the same time, behavioural finance research highlights the importance of subjective factors for individuals’ financial decision-making. The aim of this paper is to verify the influence of the subjective assessment of households’ financial situation (also known as financial wellbeing) on their debt. The research was based on secondary data for the years 2009–2020 published by Statistics Poland and the National Bank of Poland. The study used linear regression, where time series related to debt were the dependent variables, and time series related to income and financial wellbeing were the explaining variables. The study confirmed that taking into account the subjective assessment of households’ financial situation allows more effective modelling of household debt than disposable income solely. The results also demonstrated that individuals assessing their financial situation as very good are more likely to get into debt than those who believe their material status to be average. Additionally, as the assessment of financial wellbeing improves, household debt in foreign currencies decreases.

The main aim of the paper was to analyse the subjective well-being of the elderly in Poland, as well as its determinants by use of the logistic regression. The data used come from the 2011 wave of the survey “Social Diagnosis – living conditions and quality of life of Poles”. The analyses have shown that men aged 60 years or more had higher subjective well-being than their female counterparts. Subjective life satisfaction of the elderly in Poland decreases with age for women, but for males on the opposite. The elderly in Poland were satisfied the most with the aspects related to their personal life such as children, marriage, relationship with family member and relatives, while they were the least satisfied with situation in the country, life prospects, health status, sexual life, and economical situation of their families. Educational level and health status (measured in terms of disability) had the greatest impact on the sense of happiness. Generally people with the highest level of education had more chances to be happy than those less educated. The probability of happiness among people without disability was higher than among disabled ones. Married people also had bigger odds to be happy.

The article explores the idea of temporality in relation to high-modernist literary representations of London. I claim that the modernist metropolis appears as a palimpsest whose memorialising function is upheld by techniques such as fragmentation, citation, myth, allegory, intertextual references or allusions, which question the stereotypical relationship between then and now, subject and site. It does so by deconstructing traditional temporal sequences and by foregrounding a subtle connection between past and present. Thus, the modernist city will be considered as a space of transformation in which the substantialness of space and subjective time translates the elusive meaning of contemporary history.

Public subjective rights, as all rights and freedoms set out in the Polish legal order can, in principle, be restricted. Freedom of economic activity is a public subjective right regulated by the standards of the Constitution. In turn, the public subjective right to use the environment was regulated by the provisions of Article 4 of the Environmental Protection Law. In such a legal environment, concessions and permits treated as a restriction of public subjective right of constitutional rank can at the same time be limitations to the public subjective rights provided for in the relevant statutes. It should be noted that the less strategic the sphere of life of the state and citizens is, the gentler the form of restriction. It should be borne in mind, however, that the strategic importance of the state’s or citizens’ activity cannot be determined in isolation from the state’s obligation to protect the environment. This may also be applied to other legal goods, including the environment. However, special care is required in application with reference to the latter. Concessions and permits affect the enjoyment of public subjective right to the environment, both by entitiesengaged in a business activity and those affected by the said activity. This impact may differ and depends on whether a given permit or concession is granted or refused. However, both granting or refusing to grant them will result in restrictions of public subjective rights to use the environment.
Publiczne prawa podmiotowe, tak jak, co do zasady, wszystkie prawa i wolności określone w przepisach polskiego porządku prawnego, doznają ograniczeń. Wolność działalności gospodarczej jest publicznym prawem podmiotowym uregulowanym normami Konstytucji. Z kolei publiczne prawo podmiotowe do korzystania ze środowiska zostało unormowane przepisami art. 4 ustawy Prawo ochrony środowiska. Taki stan prawny nie powoduje, że koncesje i zezwolenia traktowane jako ograniczenia publicznego prawa podmiotowego rangi konstytucyjnej nie mogą być jednocześnie ograniczeniami publicznego prawa podmiotowego uregulowanego w ustawie zwykłej. Zauważyć należy, że forma ograniczenia jest tym bardziejłagodna im mniej strategicznej sfery życia państwa i obywateli dotyczy. Należy mieć jednak na uwadze, że owa strategiczność dziedzin działalności państwa czy obywateli nie może być określana w oderwaniu od obowiązku ochrony środowiska, będącej zadaniem państwa. Wskazana prawidłowość może być stosowana także w odniesieniu do innych dóbr prawnych, w tym środowiska. W zakresie tego ostatniego dobra prawnego wymagana jest jednak szczególna ostrożność w jej stosowaniu. Koncesje i zezwolenia wpływają na realizacje publicznego prawa podmiotowego do środowiska, zarówno podmiotów prowadzących działalność gospodarczą, jak i podmiotów pozostających w obszarze odziaływania tej działalności. Wpływ ten możebyć przy tym różny i zależy od udzielenia danego zezwolenia czy koncesji, czy też od odmowy ich przyznania. Zarówno jednak ich przyznanie, jak i odmowa ich przyznania będą wywoływały ograniczenia publicznych praw podmiotowych do korzystania ze środowiska.

Opis:
The subject of the paper is intersubjectivity and verifiability of judgments about the quality of translation. Criteria for identification of a text to be a translation and possibilities of assessing the value of translation based on the classic triad of truth, goodness and beauty are discussed. The starting point for the axiological assessment is the ontic structure of the original. It is shown how a type of relationship between the original and the translation impacts on the assessment of translation.

The article is dedicated to the study of the psychological determination of the state’s image in the students’ perception. The results of empirical research of the infl uence of the students’ adaptation and orientation to their vision of the state are described in the article. The state image in the perception of student youth was analyzed according to the parameters of the state’s accomplishment assessment, the feeling of a sense of belonging to the state, thesense of vision of the state existence and the assessment of the state power as competent, effective, credible, and strong.

Podstawowym celem naukowym artykułu jest zwrócenie uwagi na jedno z ważnych zagadnień, które mieści się w obszarze pedeutologii. Dotyczy ono treści i zakresu nauczycielskiej tożsamości zawodowej, analizy jej źródeł i podstaw, a także atrybutów. Problemy wynikające z tych zagadnień zostały ujęte w strategię poszukiwań odpowiedzi na pytania o strukturę i dynamikę ich kształtowania się. Proces wywodu sprowadza się do odpowiedzi na pytanie o znaczenie nauczycielskiego etosu i generacji praw podmiotowych będących świadectwem zawodowej tożsamości. Ponadto wskazano w nim na rolę i istotę procesu dochodzenia nauczycieli do zawodowej tożsamości w czasach chaosu aksjonormatywnego. Przeprowadzona analiza zmierzała do opisu poznawczego, wyjaśnienia wraz z interpretacją głównego przedmiotu podjętego zagadnienia oraz aplikacji w postaci pytań otwartych skierowanych w zakończeniu do czytelników.
The main scientifical goal of that article is paying attention on one of the most important task that is located in the area of pedeutology. It concerns the content and range of professional personality of the teachers, analysis of its resources and basis, and also attributes. The problems stem from those tasks are incorporated in the strategy of the research of some answers on the question of the role of the ethos of the teacher and the generation of the subjective law that are the evidence of professional personality. Moreover, indicate in it on the role and meaning of the process of getting the professional personality in the time of axiological chaos. The conducted analysis was headed towards the cognitive description, explanation with interpretation the main subject of the taken task and application in the shape of open questions towards to the readers in the conclusion.

Opis:
The author presents in a synthetic form the development of institutions of procedural joint participation, starting from the Roman civil process, with particular reference to the regulations contained in the code of civil procedure of 1930 and 1964. He focuses on the contemporary model of joint participation, discussing its types and manifestations. He proves that in addition to the types of participation regulated in the Code of Civil Procedure, there is also a place in the Polish civil proceedings for its other manifestations, including joint special unnamed joint participation, resulting from the „nature of things” or from the essence of a procedural claim submitted for judgment. He points out that a special case of special procedural joint participation appears in the case for reconciliation of the contents of the land and mortgage register with the actual legal status.
