This study aims at determining the level of development of the Polish power industry sector in comparison with the sectors of other European Union countries with the use of the multidimensional comparative analysis method, paying special attention to cluster analysis, the structure of the taxonomic development measure and time-lag determination, which characterises the Polish power industry sector compared to its equivalents in the countries analysed.
W pracy podjęto próbę określenia poziomu rozwoju polskiego sektora energetycznego na tle sektorów krajów Unii Europejskiej wykorzystując do tego metody wielowymiarowej analizy porównawczej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem analizy skupień, budowy taksonomicznego miernika rozwoju oraz określenia opóźnienia czasowego, jakim charakteryzuje się polski sektor energetyczny na tle jego odpowiedników w analizowanych krajach.

This article is another report from the ongoing comparative lexical analyses of manuscripts representing separate Church Slavonic Psalter redactions. It is focused on quantitative and qualitative characterisation of the (Old) Church Slavonic equivalents of the Greek verbs συνάγω, ἐπισυνάγω and συλλέγω which occur in the Psalters under comparison. The study offers an interpretation of the observed similarities and differences among the Psalters regarding the choice of vocabulary in focus. It also considers the Hebrew verbs corresponding to the analysed (O)CS and Greek equivalents. Observations made in the article include illustrative examples.
Artykuł jest kolejną relacją z sukcesywnie prowadzonych analiz porównawczych słownictwa zawartego w rękopisach reprezentujących poszczególne cerkiewnosłowiańskie redakcje psałterzowe. Koncentruje się na ilościowej i jakościowej charakterystyce (s)cs. ekwiwalentów greckich czasowników συνάγω, ἐπισυνάγω i συλλέγω obecnych w porównywanych psałterzach. Podaje interpretację zaobserwowanych podobieństw i różnic między nimi w doborze rozpatrywanego słownictwa. Uwagę zwraca również na hebrajskie odpowiedniki analizowanych ekwiwalentów (staro-)cerkiewnosłowiańsko-greckich. Komentarze artykułu dopełnia odpowiedni materiał ilustracyjny.

This article offers a comparative analysis of (Old) Church Slavonic equivalents of the Greek ἡ συναγωγή (with reference to the semantically concurrent ἡ ἐκκλησία), τό συνέδριον and ἡ συστροφή in successive redactions of the Book of Psalms. The study presents a comparison of the use of these equivalents in quantitative and qualitative terms, taking into account the similarities as well as differences in their uses. W artykule przeprowadza się analizę porównawczą użyć (staro‑)cerkiewnosłowiańskich ekwiwalentów greckich ἡ συναγωγή (w nawiązaniu do semantycznie zbieżnego ἡ ἐκκλησία), τό συνέδριον i ἡ συστροφή w reprezentantach sukcesywnych cerkiewnosłowiańskich redakcji Księgi Psalmów. Zestawień dokonuje się pod kątem ilościowym i jakościowym (z uwzględnieniem zarówno różnic, jak i podobieństw). Zwraca się uwagę na ich źródłowy kontekst hebrajsko-grecki. Rozważania uzupełnia się materiałem ilustracyjnym.

A lot of companies have a problem with the selection of the type of computer network, because each of them has different characteristics and specifications. A businessman often does not know what he can expect from them and which type of network will allow him to fully exploit the potential of its business. The main objective of the work is to build a decision support system in this area. Intermediate target is to specify the characteristics or criteria which will be guided by a businessman in this selection. A comparative analysis of the type of access to the network using a case study was made in the work. The paper also developed the concept of a decision support system on the issue in question. As a result, six benchmarking criteria were specified and analyzed: security, data integrity, price, mobility, performance and configuration. As a result of the analysis, the final ranking was presented. Having used AHP method it showed which type of access to the network according to the given criteria provided by a businessman was the most suitable for him.

Проаналізовано процеси, пов’язані з розвитком міжнародного туризму в країнах Балтії, які мають важливе значення для росту економічного, соціального та культурного добробуту регіону. Досліджено процеси створення стратегій розвитку регіонального туризму в країнах Східної Європи. Надано комплексну характеристику рекреаційних ресурсів. Виявлено вплив процесів світової глобалізації на динаміку зростання потоку іноземних туристів та зміни структури туристичного потоку в регіоні. Розглянуто комплекси туристичних ресурсів і їх територіальний розподіл в країнах Балтії, регіональну спеціалізацію в різних сферах міжнародного туризму. Досліджено етапи створення концептуального туристичного іміджу та загального регіонального туристичного бренда країн Балтії. Надана оцінка конкурентоспроможності регіону в цілому та виокремлено чинники, які сприяють розвитку туристичного ринку країн Балтії.

Postulating the necessity of introducing translatological reflection into modem stylisti- cs, the article - bearing upon the work of Polish translators of Charles Baudelaire’s poems - demonstrates a diversity of stylistics strategies in particular translations. The texts cho- sen for the study Correspondences, De Profundis Clamavi, and Les Plaintes d’un Icare have been rendered into Polish by both older (Stanisław Korab-Brzozowski, Miriam, and Antoni Lange), and modem (Tadeusz Bocheński, Maria Leśniewska, Andrzej Nowak) translators. A comparative study of the French originals and their Polish equivalents car- ried out with the help of cognitive grammar analysis allows us to conclude that neither the very time nor the style of translation determine its value in the target language culture. This awareness becomes important particularly in the light of a discussion conceming ca- nons of French and European literatures.

Opis:
 The article concerns the image of the fly in Polish, French, and English phraseology. Connections between language and culture are discussed, with comparative semantic analyses as an important element of intercultural dialogue. Such analyses also benefit translation studies and language teaching. It is considered what properties of the fly are important for a given linguistic community, how the insect is viewed axiologically, and what experience of the insect has been preserved in the language’s phraseology. In the analysis, parallel phraseological units in all three languages are identified, with an account of the connections motivated by the physical properties of flies, their behaviour and axiology in relation to humans. In each language, different features of the fly are preserved so that the overall images of the insect are different. The frequency of the units with the nominal ‘fly’ in these languages also varies.
Artykuł dotyczy obrazu muchy utrwalonego w polskich, francuskich i angielskich frazeologizmach. Na wstępie autorka przypomina zależności istniejące między językiem i kulturą, dzięki którym porównawcze analizy semantyczne są ważnym elementem dialogu międzykulturowego. Następnie opisuje korzyści, jakie płyną z takich badań dla translatologii i dydaktyki przekładu. Stawia pytania o to, jakie właściwości muchy zostały przez daną społeczność komunikatywną uznane za istotne; jak społeczność ta wartościuje opisywanego owada i jakie doświadczenia zostały przez nią utrwalone w procesach frazeologicznych. W kolejności dokonuje analiz związków frazeologicznych tożsamych we wszystkich badanych językach, a następnie utrwalonych połączeń motywowanych właściwościami fizycznymi much, ich zachowaniem oraz wartościowaniem w relacji do człowieka. Porównanie zasobu frazeologicznego trzech języków pozwala ustalić, że każdy z nich skupia się na innych cechach muchy i utrwala nieco odmienny obraz tego owada. Różna jest również frekwencja związków z komponentem nominalnym mucha w poszczególnych językach.

The impact on the development of the economy and enterprises themselves is made possible by investments as they are one of the main components of GDP. An increase in enterprise investments demonstrates the good financial condition of economic entities, is a positive signal about the state of the economy and gives information about its development. The subject of this article is the impact of enterprises on the economy and its importance in Poland by analysing both investment itself and the investment rate. The analysis was carried out at a regional level as well as in relation to other EU member states. The aim is to analyse the investment activities of Polish enterprises, with particular emphasis on the change as well as their size and type. The research is based on a critical analysis of the literature and an analysis of secondary statistical data, covering the period from the first full EU program from 2007, and extended in accordance with the n+2 funding rule until 2015. The analyses show that despite growing investment among Polish enterprises, compared to the rest of the EU, the value of expenditure on fixed assets is still low as the average value made in the private sector among EU countries is 70% higher. At the same time, the growing level of investment value among private businesses over the nine years should be emphasized. There is also a very large regional variation in the level of investment growth per working-age capita over the period considered.

Der Artikel stellt phraseologische Verbindungen im heutigen Polnisch und Französisch vor. Das Material umfasst umgangssprachliche Phraseologismen und fest in der Sprache verankerte Phraseologismen. Die Analyse erweitert die sowohl von polnischen als auch von romanischen Schriftstellern durchgeführten Untersuchungen zum kulturellen Bild der Liebe um umgangssprachliches phraseologisches Material und ein vergleichendes Element, das es ermöglicht, gemeinsame Tendenzen in der Vervielfältigung der phraseologischen Ressourcen beider Sprachen aufzuzeigen. Die Originalität des Textes ergibt sich vor allem aus der Beschreibung von Phraseologismen, die in beiden Sprachen noch nicht beschrieben wurden – umgangssprachlich, aus dem Englischen entlehnt, vulgär, beleidigend. Das Forschungsziel des Artikels ist es, das kulturelle Bild der Liebe in beiden Sprachen zu rekonstruieren und gemeinsame Entwicklungstendenzen, Ähnlichkeiten und Unterschiede innerhalb beider Ressourcen aufzuzeigen. Das Ziel ist erreicht, die Forschung kann fortgesetzt und erweitert werden durch die Analyse von phraseologischen Verbindungen, die phraseologischen Innovationen unterworfen sind. Um das kulturelle Bild der Liebe zu rekonstruieren, habe ich eine semantische und lexikalische Analyse der Lexeme vorgenommen, die in vielen phraseologischen Verbindungen im Zusammenhang mit der Liebe vorkommen (z. B. Herz), sowie der Phraseologismen selbst. Die Ergebnisse der Untersuchung zeigen eine gemeinsame Tendenz in der Art und Weise, wie die phraseologische Ressource in beiden Sprachen vervielfältigt wird – Entlehnungen aus dem Englischen, die teilweise mit der Orthografie der Regeln der Zielsprache übereinstimmen können. Beiden Sprachen gemeinsam ist die Verwendung der Herz- und Augensymbolik in vielen phraseologischen Verbindungen. Im Französischen gibt es mehr phraseologische Verbindungen mit Tiernamen als im Polnischen. Es lassen sich mehrere Phraseologismen unterscheiden, die in beiden Sprachen ihre genaue Entsprechung haben.
The article presents phraseological compounds in contemporary Polish and French. The material in- cludes colloquial phraseologisms and phraseologisms established in the language. The analysis extends the research – conducted by both Polish and Romance experts – on the cultural image of love by adding colloquial phraseological material and a comparative element, which made it possible to show common tendencies in the multiplication of the phraseological resources of both languages. The originality of the text results primarily from the description of phraseologisms not yet described in both languages – colloquial, borrowed from English, vulgar, offensive. The research goal of the article is to reconstruct the cultural image of love in both languages and to indicate common developmental tendencies, similarities and differences within both resources. The goal has been achieved, the research can be continued and extended by the analysis of phraseological compounds subjected to phraseological innovations. In order to reconstruct the cultural image of love I made a semantic and lexical analysis of lexemes that appear in many phraseological compounds related to love (e.g. heart) and the phraseologisms themselves. The results of the research indicate a common tendency in the way the phraseological resource is multiplied in both languages – borrowings from English, which can partly match the orthography of the target language’s rules. Common to both languages is the use of heart and eye symbolism in many phraseological compounds. French has more phraseological compounds containing animal names than Polish. Several phraseologisms can be distinguished, which have their exact equivalents in both languages.

This paper examines Germany’s and Austria’s merging of migration, security and development in the context of the European migrant crisis 2015/2016 through content and discourse analyses of key German and Austrian development policy documents. It argues that development aid is expected to manage long-term risks to the national security of donors by addressing the structural causes of forced and irregular migration. The concluding section synthesizes the key findings of the research paper.
Artykuł omawia swoistą fuzję polityki migracyjnej, bezpieczeństwa i rozwojowej w Niemczech i Austrii w kontekście kryzysu migracyjnego, jaki dotknął Europę w latach 2015– 2016, poprzez dogłębną analizę treści i dyskursów zawartych w kluczowych dokumentach dotyczących kierunków i obszarów kształtowania polityki obu państw. W artykule postawiono tezę, że pomoc rozwojowa ma za zadanie sprostać ryzyku, które w długiej perspektywie może osłabić bezpieczeństwo narodowe darczyńców; można to uczynić poprzez podjęcie stosownych działań, które wyeliminują strukturalne przyczyny migracji przymusowej i nieuregulowanej. W części poświęconej podsumowaniu i wnioskom przedstawiono pokrótce główne wyniki badań przeprowadzonych na potrzeby artykułu.

Opis:
Głównym celem artykułu jest przeprowadzenie analizy znamienia czasownikowego „zaprzeczać” w słowackim, niemieckim, polskim i francuskim prawie karnym w perspektywie prawno-porównawczej. Powyższe pozwoli przede wszystkim przedstawić autorską koncepcję brzmienia przepisu penalizującego kłamstwa historyczne. Podstawową metodą badania, która została zastosowana w artykule, jest metoda na podstawie modelu Kötza i Zweigerta, zakładającego przeprowadzenie pięciu podstawowych etapów analizy prawno-porównawczej. W dwóch ostatnich częściach, tj. w Rezultatach porównania. Krytyczna analiza oraz w Podsumowaniu, zawarto główne wnioski płynące z analizy. 
The main purpose of this article was the analysis of the term "to deny" in Slovak, German, Polish and French criminal law in a comparative and legal perspective. This analysis led to present the author’s concept of the the provision penalizing historical lies. The basic research method that was used in the article is a method based on the Kötz and Zweigert’s model, assuming five basic stages of legal and comparative analysis. The last two parts contain the main conclusions of the article.

The article presents the results of a quantitative analysis of the vocabulary attested in the Polish translation of the work of Pietro de‘ Crescenzi (Piotr Krescentyn) Księgi o gospodarstwie (original title: Opus ruralium commodorum) against the statystical characteristics of the translations of the New Testament from the latter half of the sixteenth century and the beginning of the seventeenth century, and the text of Wizerunek własny żywota człowieka poczciwego (The Life of the Honest Man) by Mikołaj Rej. The following statystical parameters were studied: the number of words, the number of entries, K quantity factor, arithmetic mean of the frequency of entries, dispersion of entries, vocabulary originality parameter I, distribution of the autosemantic parts of speech (lexical category) and the distribution of individual autosemantic parts of speech (lexical categories). The analysis shows that, with regard to the statistical approach, the vocabulary of Księgi... is rather closer to Wizerunek than to the translations of the New Testament – in comparison to the latter, Księgi... is characterized by a far more ample vocabulary, greater number of entries and autosemantic words, greater number of attested nouns, adverbs in particular (the latter group is characterized by a higher percentage of entries with high frequency). Księgi..., as compared to the translations of the New Testament, also abounds with participles whose repertory is not only more numerous with regard to words but also to entries. The analysis confims the observation made by Władysław Kuraszkiewicz with reference to the dependence between the quantity of vocabulary and the content of texts – the closer it is to real life and refers to its diverse aspects, the richer vocabulary is used for its rendering.

This article presents a statistical and comparative analysis of four spelling conventions that represent different stages in the development of the Polish graphic system: the graphic system of a late-medieval manuscript (hand-written text), the standard spelling convention typical for the first half of the sixteenth century, the accepted and standard modern spelling of the first half of the twentieth century and the innovative set of graphic features used in electronic media. The characteristics of the statistical parameters encompasses dispersion and entropy in the first and the second row of letters, as well as in two-element sets (dyads). The analysis proves that: 1) inasmuch as the degree of differentiation of the distribution of signs, the history of Polish spelling convention prior to the solidification of the modern standard practice (accepted standard system) manifested a self-organizing tendency that was based on a reduction of letter signs and two-element letter combinations (ligatures) with the frequency of 1; 2) innovative solutions used in the set of graphic features characteristic for electronic media do not violate the statistical proportion between letters and their dyads operative and specific for modern standard graphic system 3) in respect to theory and information, the transformations of the graphic substance (graphic system) (within the analysed chronological timeframe) depended on neither progress (evolution) nor degradation.

W artykule przedstawiono rezultaty analizy porównawczej wybranych narzędzi online do zarządzania i komunikacji w projektach informatycznych. Badania przeprowadzono przy pomocy analizy wielokryterialnej oraz eksperymentu naukowego, który polegał na utworzeniu harmonogramu projektu w badanych aplikacjach. Rezultaty badań pozwoliły określić wartości zmiennych diagnostycznych, które pomogły wybrać najlepsze narzędzie.
The article presents the results of comparative analysis of selected online tools for management and communication in IT projects. The research was carried out using a multicriteria analysis and a scientific experiment which consisted in creating a project schedule in the studied applications. The results of the study allowed one to determine the values of diagnostic variables that helped to select the best tool.
