    The article publishes two hitherto unpublished texts which were written at the turn of the 15th century in two incunabula. One is the Polish Decalogue in verse recorded in the incunabulum of the Library of the Canons Regular of the Lateran in Cracow, whereas the second text is the Latin Oracio contra febram with an insertion in the Polish language from the incunabulum of the National Library in Warsaw.

    The paper presents an unstudied text with the name of the Apostle Andrew in the miscellany of 15th c., now Muz.10272, Rashka orthography. The text (with traces of archaic archetype) is a unique copy of the compilation. The history of the manuscript is very interesting, because it belonged to the A. Hilferding collection in the past. The aim of the author is to propose a preliminary analysis of the text, its origin and chronology, as well as its context in the Slavic tradition.

    Opis:
    The New Testament apocryphon Didascalia Domini is one of the least known. Its original was written in Greek, according to François Nau, at the end of the 7th century. Relatively early it was translated into Old Church Slavonic. At present five copies of this translation are known, stretching from the 13th to the 15th century. Three of them belong to the Serbian redaction, one each to the Russian (East Slavic) and to the Middle Bulgarian redaction. According to Michail Nestorovič Speranskij the translation originated in Bulgaria. The Greek copies, the oldest of which stems from the 11th century, have divergent final chapters. Moreover, the Slavic translation has yet another ending not corresponding to any of the Greek texts. The textological analysis of the five Slavic copies makes it possible to get an idea of their mutual relationship. On the basis of the linguistic archaisms of the text one can surmise that the translation has been made in Eastern Bulgaria during the 11th century. At the end of the paper there is a critical edition of the Slavic text.

    Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie problematyki związanej z edycją Epitafium opata Ditharda, dokonaną przez Wojciecha Kętrzyńskiego w 1893 r. w szóstym tomie Monumenta Poloniae Historica. Wbrew powszechnie przyjętej za sprawą tego uczonego informacji Epitafium opata Ditharda nie wchodziło w skład rękopiśmiennej kolekcji tzw. źródeł oliwskich (Fontes Olivenses). Ten wierszowany utwór pochwalny na cześć pierwszego opata klasztoru oliwskiego powstał najprawdopodobniej w XIII w., a znany jest dziś głównie z drewnianej tablicy z XVII w., znajdującej się w archikatedrze oliwskiej w Gdańsku, której Wojciech Kętrzyński nie znał z autopsji. Wydał on Epitafium opata Ditharda, biorąc za podstawę kopię tekstu zachowaną w rękopisie kórnickim sygn. BK 65, zdjętą z tego tabulatum w 1749 r. Z uwagi na fakt, że istnieje starsza kopia tekstu tego dzieła, zapisana w rękopisie gdańskim (APG, sygn. 940/422), zdjęta nie z tabulatum, a z piętnastowiecznej polichromii, edycję Kętrzyńskiego należy dziś uznać za niewystarczającą.
    This paper seeks to acquaint the readers with problems related to Wojciech Kętrzyński’s 1893 edition of Epitaphium Dithardi abbatis [Epitaph of abbot Dithard] in volume six of Monumenta Poloniae Historica. In contrast to the information the scholar disseminated which was subsequently commonly adopted, Epitaphium Dithardi abbatis was not a part of the hand-written collection of the so-called Oliva sources (Fontes Olivenses). This laudatory work in a verse form, in honour of the first abbot of the Oliva monastery, was probably created in the 13th century, and today is known mainly from the 17th-century epitaph tablet surviving in the Oliva Cathedral in Gdańsk, which Wojciech Kętrzyński did not see personally. He issued Epitaphium Dithardi abbatis taking as the basis a copy of the text surviving in the Kórnik manuscript call no. BK 65, copied from this tablet in 1749. Today, in view of the existence of an older copy of the text, included in the Gdańsk manuscript (APG, call no. 940/422) copied not from the tablet but from the 15th-century polychrome, Kętrzyński’s edition should be considered insufficient.

    The paper discusses some aspects of possibilities and dangers that new digital technologies bring in the camp of transmission of texts, especially the literary ones, and their scholar edition. While the new trends and achieve- ments are still under discussion, a glance towards the similar situation of some 500 years ago, when printing press was introduced to replace, step by step, a manuscript communication, could be useful to understand what we experience and to foresee some ways these new technologies will probably undertake.

    The present paper contains information about dramas in editions of Cyprian Kamil Norwid's writings published up till now, and especially about editorial differences between them, mainly in the field of language, and to a lesser degree, in the field of punctuation. These results are then compared with the text of dramas prepared for a new edition of Norwid's works (Collected Works) that started to appear in 2007 under the imprint of the Learned Society of the Catholic University of Lublin. The Author of the present article has prepared dramas for the edition, taking the poet's autographs or (in case of their being lost) their first edition as the basis. It has turned out that a considerable number of corrections had to be made in the new edition of the text of Norwid's dramas, which is illustrated in the article by numerous examples.

    In accordance with the title, the article is concerned with the editorial problems posed by the part of Norwid's work that is least known, that is his notes and albums,. The need of reflection on this domain of the poet's work appeared along with the new edition of the poet's Works. Within the edition Norwid's “portfolios” have been separated as individual volumes, which stresses both the qualitative and quantitative dimension of the phenomenon in the work of the author of On the freedom of speech (Gomulicki's edition of Complete Works included only the texts written with Norwid's own hand, excluding prints and illustrations – drawn both by the poet himself and by other people). On the one hand the article explains the reasons for such a decision, and on the other it undertakes a number of editorial questions as well as ones connected with the text that appear as a consequence of the assumptions that have been made. Apart from the problem of the autonomy of Norwid's notes and albums the question of the integral character of the collection has been touched upon; also, the problem of their final textological form, their contents (e.g. the question if inserts made by hand should be included, as they are not Norwid's own texts, but together with the notes and drawings they constitute a certain semantic and compositional whole). Ordering the illegible and sometimes complicated compositional design of the collection should be accompanied by reflection – which is shown by analyses – saying that in the case of Norwid's notes and albums (e.g. in the case of the so-called “his own summaries” or “the authors summaries”) excessive care taken of legibility and accessibility (an example being Gomulicki's edition) may lead to excessive “polishing”, and in consequence to upsetting the genological bases of the notes and albums. The problem is also raised of legibility of the notes and other sources Norwid used (often the notes are just excerpts from books he had read, and the drawings and water-colors are imitations of other artists' works). Selected issues from the domain of editing notes and albums show the specificity and stress the identity of this part of Norwid's work.

    Franciszek Dionizy Kniaźnin has created manuscript for a few years. It was a kind of his poetica will. In this collection, titled Poezje Franciszka Dionizego Kniaźnina ręką własną pisane, author included works published in three previous collections volumes of verse as well as completely new poems. Reused works had many editorial alterations compared to original ones. First time published works had been totally unknown before. Poezje Franciszka Dionizego Kniaźnina ręką własną pisane was not published as printed, scientific edition yet. This article describes today’s editor dilemmas about making a critical edition of four first book contained in the first volume of autograph. Mainly it is focused on the problem of comparasion variants of particular texts, which often are very different.

    W zakresie problematyki tworzenia prawa znajduje się m.in. sprawa techniki budowy tekstu aktu normatywnego, np. ustawy. Konstruowanie tekstu aktu normatywnego oznacza w tym wypadku zorganizowanie czy zakodowanie treści pewnej reguły w konwencjonalnie zaprojektowaną formę pisemną. Tworzenie aktów normatywnych zbliżone jest do pisania dzieła literackiego o szczególnym charakterze, tj. takiego, które ma wpływać na postępowanie ludzi. Wspomniana konwencjonalność budowy aktu i znajomość sposobu kodowania umożliwia następnie – ilekroć to będzie konieczne – wydobycie z tej struktury przepisów zawartej w nich normy. Wiedza legislacyjna, o której tu mowa, dotyczy elementów tekstu aktu normatywnego, a zwłaszcza przepisów o różnym charakterze, dyrektyw konstruowania aktu normatywnego, redagowania jego przepisów, systematyki (struktury) tekstu, a także zasad zmieniania, ujednolicania i tzw. uelastyczniania tekstu aktu normatywnego. Rozwój techniki legislacyjnej i stała dbałość o utrzymanie wysokiego jej poziomu w praktyce prawotwórczej ma ogromne znaczenie dla pewności prawa i zaufania obywateli do państwa.
    There is no law making without law writing. Creating an act of law means organizing (coding) a rule into a strictly designed form. That form and the knowledge of coding allows a reader to extract rules from statues. The knowledge necessary for law writing includes but is not limited to the following elements of acts of law: statues, directives, editing, text structure, rules for amending and unifying etc. Development of legislative techniques and quality control in law writing are necessary to provide high quality law that citizens can trust.
