Proces poznawania świata jest warunkowany pracą naszych zmy-słów, im więcej zmysłów zostaje zaangażowanych w akt poznania, tym większa jest nasza wiedza. Wynikający z uszkodzenia wzroku ograniczony odbiór bodź-ców ma fundamentalny wpływ na sfery poznawcze, emocjonalne, społeczne, motoryczne i komunikacyjne. Trudno sobie wyobrazić, jak bardzo ograniczona zostaje możliwość zaspokojenia wszystkich potrzeb osobistych osób z dysfunk-cjami wzroku. Wykorzystanie multimediów do wsparcia i pracy edukacyjnej może przyczynić się do poprawy jakości ogólnego funkcjonowania nie tylko w aspekcie nauczania i uczenia się.
The process of learning about the world is conditioned by our senses, the more senses are involved in the act of cognition, the greater our knowledge is. The limited perception of stimuli resulting from eye damage has a funda-mental impact on the cognitive, emotional, social, motor and communication spheres. It is difficult to imagine how limited the ability of visually impaired people to satisfy all their personal needs is. The use of multimedia for support and educational work can contribute greatly to the improvement of the quality of the general functioning of visually impaired people, not only in the aspect of teaching and learning.

The goal of this paper is to analyse the changing role of information and communication technologies (ICTs) and to determine their influence on selected countries' international competitiveness. To achieve this, the calculated global ICT development index has been compared to selected measures of international competitive position. Conducted research has confirmed that in respect of ICT a partial alignmentbetween developed and other countries has occurred. Moreover, there is a noticeable interdependence between ICT development and international competitive position indicators.

Aim. In the last three to four decades, many technological changes have taken place that have affected the world, the family and the relationships between family members. In order to determine the impact of information and communication technology on the family and its members, and how much time the research participants spend using modern technology, a survey was conducted in which 160 respondents (parents) participated. Methods. The research used a measuring instrument designed precisely for the purposes of this research. It consisted of three independent variables (gender, parental age and child's age) and nine dependent variables grouped into three sets: electronic media and time of their use, the impact of modern technology on family relationships and impact on the health of the children of the research participants. The Likert-type scale, adapted to the needs of this research, was used. Results. The research results show: the respondents' answers regarding the variable of “How much time your child spends using information and communication technologies (ICT)" are statistically significant (c2 = 48.650, p < .000); the correlation between the variables ("Gender" and "Do you talk to your children about the negative impact of ICT") is r = .180 and is significant at the .05 level; (3) the respondents' answers regarding the variable ("The knowledge of ICT in the early childhood is essential") are statistically significant (c2 = 43.438, p < .000); (4) the correlation between the variables ("The use of ICT affects family relationships" and "It affects the health of the child") is r = .194 and is significant at the .05 level. Conclusion. Children no longer live under the constant supervision of their parents, but are given the freedom to develop, think and form opinions independently. As a result, they are increasingly left to different environmental influences.

In this study I explore the use (and the non-use) of ICTs in the broad survey on their use by modern social movements, providing data on the demographics of the movements and their activists worldwide, and on the use (and non-use) of the ICTs. Based on four online surveys (including international, local US and Polish), data on distribution of social movement organizations, age of organizations and activists, numbers of activists and supporters, and organization goals are presented. Analysis of the diffusion and use of specific new ICTs follows. The research questions revolve around the blurring boundaries between members and non-members (unofficial supporters and volunteers) and the specifics of the use of new media (by whom and for what) with particular focus on the importance of organizational and membership age. The findings with regards to the use of modern ICTs show the success (wide diffusion and estimates of empowerment) of email, static websites, phones and social networking, contrasted with the relatively poor performance of blogs, podcats and online petitions on the social movement scene.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has been regarded as the source for the social economic development of any country especially a developing country like Nigeria and has remained the reagent of growth for developed countries. Almost all government services could be initiated and delivered through ICT and since these tools are efficient and reliable, they are today functioning as catalyst of good governance in most countries. This paper gives the exposition at some ICT strategies that could help the country consolidate on good governance, e-government and realize her vision of becoming one of the top 20 global economies in the world by 2020. A desktop research approach was used to evaluate some technical details on the ICT tools in achieving good governance socio-economic development in Nigeria. In conclusion, appropriate policy suggestions were suggested for efficient use of ICT in promoting good governance in Nigeria.

In order to create a high quality of transport system, accessible, and safe is necessary to develop strategies for the implementation of telematics solution. For this a detailed study of the existing infrastructure, technologies into practice, and real needs, are necessary. This work will propose a new approach to the management and delivery of public transport services in cape Verde, Praia city, in order to create more efficient transport network. The main idea is to develop strategies that can reduce journey time variability, and further expansion of the real time information system capable to provide travelers more information. The focus will be on delivering a safe and integrated transport system. There is an emphasis on improving public transport as reduction of the number of empty vehicles on the road, and improving safety and security for all transport users. This paper propose a methodology, using the concept of smart cyber society. This concept will be focusing in the transport mobility. Providing users with dynamic and multi-modal information for traffic and transport efficiency, as well as for assuring sustainable, reliable and safe public transportation.

Information and communication technology (ICT) is widely used to access tourist information and services, and as a result using digital tools and sources influences tourist behaviour. The main goal of this paper, based on research, is to describe the behaviours and opinions of tourists who used ICT before travelling. The results include the evaluation of the usefulness of digital tools from a tourist’s point of view, and indicates that tourists are interested in using ICT. Respondents aged over 35, who are living in cities and have had at least secondary education or a university degree, are more active users of digital tools. Websites, mobile applications and other ICT uses have been treated by respondents primarily as a source of tourist information in its widest sense, and a tool which facilitates the process of planning travel routes and purchasing travel-related services. Social media, which facilitate sharing travel-related content, also have a major significance.

Research background: There are widely recognized benefits of sharing economy for entrepreneurs and consumers. The European Commission emphasizes the importance of European countries being open to new opportunities that sharing economy brings. In order to promote the development of sharing economy, it is important to understand what factors contribute to its development. Purpose of the article: The presented paper aims to identify the main factors relevant for the growth of sharing economy and to determine whether there are factors which are more significant for the development of the sharing economy than others. Based on reviewed literature, the Authors compiled a set of indicators and employed them for research purposes. The selected indicators were assigned into four main groups: technological, political and regulatory environment, economic and social-cultural environment. Methods: The authors used two multicriteria methods (SAW and APH), which were applied to the set of indicators and modeled five different situations by attributing significance to the indicators. The Authors have applied this set of indicators for assessing the following selected countries:  Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and the United Kingdom. The data covers the years 2011-2015. Findings & Value added: The results of the research show that technological readiness and social-cultural environment are significant for the development of sharing economy. For further research the Authors recommend the creation of a composite Sharing Economy Index (SHEI).

Corruption is a social phenomenon that has existed since the beginning in all communities, present in everyday situations, and affects the education system. We reviewed the various aspects of corruption in the Amazon education system basing on domination theory. We looked for factors that facilitate corruption in the education system and harm sustainable development in the Amazon. We have also shown the relationships between domination theory, scientific knowledge degradation, and sustainable development. We have identified some options to fight corruption in the education system to ensure sustainable development in the Amazon. We have implemented a qualitative research project under the Amazon Graduate Program to reach described goals. Our research methods included critical literature analysis, case study, direct observation, and content analysis to describe the literature review concepts. Through the Ishikawa diagram's graphic representation, we highlighted the causes of traditional domination and corruption sub-causes that cause the degradation of scientific knowledge and sustainability in the Amazon. The study concludes that the domination in the education system is similar to traditional domination. Corrupt actions can be decisive for preventing the construction of knowledge about Sustainability in the Amazon. The scenario warns of a crisis in the education system. Our findings allow us to suggest significant actions for coping with curbing corrupt practices and unethical actions in the system. Our Amazonian academy findings help reflect the reality of the managers and politicians sensitized with this investigative work.

Reliability of production systems in enterprises is increasingly dependent on the availability of ICT systems that supervise them. The paper aims to determine how information and communication technology influences contemporary culture and examines the nature of this relationship. The analysis is based on socio-cultural research combined with socio-metric and humanistic studies, along with an eclectic approach. The author uses qualitative methods, in addition to system analyses, discourse analyses, secondary analysis, and participant observation. Digital and communication technology is changing the nature of interpersonal relations in today’s world, Wassilew says. Social networking sites on the internet make it possible to strengthen old and create new interpersonal ties, and they also contribute to the development of an information society. Technology used in interpersonal communication changes the way in which people look at the world around them. This eventually leads to new lifestyle patterns, in addition to economic, political and cultural changes, Wassilew says. According to the author, the paper’s findings can be used in business, marketing, logistics, organization and management strategies, and in the design of IT and communications systems.

Communication strategy and information management have become crucial parts of modern public relations. People change their habits with regard to the consumption of traditional and new media. The challenges imposed by the development of information and communication technology are also related to understanding the new information so-ciety. For that reason information ethics deals with the ethical implications of dissemination, use, development and safety of information. Public relations follow new information and communication trends, and they need to build fi rm ethical principles for the age of informa-tion. The author examines the ethical implications of the framing concept in public relations.
