Opis:
The aim of the study was to analyze the impact of technical debt on projects goals achievement, considered from the perspective of software developing teams. The investigations are addressed to technical debt accumulation, difficulties related to its service and repaying. The most important stakeholders are identified on which the dechnical debt has an impact or which influence the technical debt accumulation. An interesting issue was to look at the debt from the inside in order to obtain views of members of the software developing teams. In order to obtain all the necessary information, a survey is conducted referred to the members of the software developing teams. The responses obtained from the survey concerns types of technical debt encountered, attitude, knowledge and approach to the debt. The article also shows that the lack of knowledge and awareness related to technical debt in teams affects the technical debt growth. The paper provides, based on SWOT analysis, solutions proposals that are designed to prevent dangerous situations resulting from technical debt.

This work demonstrates correlation between technical system efficiency criterion and complex system efficiency criterion in which the said technical system operates. Furthermore, the said correlation may be expressed by means of a set of separate particular criteria of a complex system. Methodology of choosing the technical system for project implementation within the framework of project-oriented organization of a complex sociotechnical system is also proposed. The offered method provides for a basis algorithm for calculations of situational efficiency criterion for technical system supposed to be applied within the project. The criterion in question indicates the extent to which the technical system is suitable for implementing its objective under specific conditions arising at various stages of the project implementation.
W pracy omówiono korelację między kryterium efektywności systemu technicznego i kryterium efektywności złożonego systemu, w którym wspomniany układ techniczny działa. Ponadto, wspomniany związek może być wyrażony za pomocą szeregu odrębnie określonych kryteriów złożonego systemu. W artykule zaproponowanio także metodologię wyboru systemu technicznego dla realizacji projektu w ramach projektowo zorientowanej organizacji, złożonego systemu socjotechnicznego. Sugerowana metoda przedstawia algorytm będący podstawą do obliczenia sytuacyjnego kryterium efektywności systemu technicznego, który miałby być stosowany w ramach projektu. Kryterium, o którym mowa, wskazuje w jakim stopniu system techniczny jest odpowiedni do realizacji swojego celu w określonych warunkach pojawiających się na różnych etapach realizacji projektu.

V závere stručne charakterizuje riešiteľský kolektív a zdôvodňuje spoločenskú dôležitosť riešenej problematiky.
The article deals with creating new modern university textbooks and didactic means for specific scientific and technical subjects at newly- acreditaded study programmes. The author analyses and specifies every result of the solved issue within the solved project KEGA n. 011UMB-4/2012. The article characterize the solving colective and defines importance of society of the issue.
Artykuł powstał w ramach projektu KEGA n. 011UMB-4/2012. Poruszane są w nim kwestie związane z opracowywaniem nowoczesnych podręczników akademickich i środków dydaktycznych na potrzeby konkretnych zagadnień naukowych i technicznych.

Dynamika projektového a zážitkového učenia vnáša do tradičnej školy aktivitu a osobnú zainteresovanosť žiakov v oveľa väčšej miere ako statické modely tradičnej edukácie. Edukačný obsah projektov je súčasťou dennej reality žiakov, prostredia, v ktorom žijú. Preto ich vlastná angažovanosť a vzájomné spolupráca pri riešení jeho problémov im poskytujú priamu odpoveď na význam a zmysluplnosť toho, čo sa učia. Príspevok prezentuje príklad komplementácie technického a spoločenskovedného vzdelávania na primárnom stupni základnej školy, cez edukačný projekt v okolí Banskej Bystrice využitím zážitkového učenia.
The dynamics of project-based and experiential learning brings activity and personal involvement of students to a traditional school to a much greater extent than static models of traditional education. The educational content of such projects is part of the daily reality of students and the environment in which they live. Therefore, their own involvement and mutual cooperation in solving their problems provide them with a direct response to the meaning and justness of what they learn. The article presents an example of complementing technical and social education at the first level of primary school, through an educational project conducted in the vicinity of Banská Bystrica, based on learning through experience.
Dynamika uczenia się opartego na projektach i doświadczaniu wnosi do tradycyjnej szkoły aktywność i osobiste zaangażowanie uczniów w znacznie większym stopniu niż statyczne modele tradycyjnej edukacji. Treści edukacyjne takich projektów są częścią codziennej rzeczywistości uczniów i środowiska, w którym żyją. Dlatego zaangażowanie i wzajemna współpraca w rozwiązywaniu problemów środowiska zapewniają uczniom bezpośrednią odpowiedź na pytania o znaczenie i sensowność tego, czego się uczą. W artykule przedstawiono przykład uzupełnienia edukacji technicznej i społecznej na pierwszym poziomie szkoły podstawowej, poprzez projekt edukacyjny w okolicach Bańskiej Bystrzycy, z wykorzystaniem uczenia się przez doświadczanie.

Teza.  Celem artykułu jest ukazanie, że koncepcja analizy fundamentalnej, opartej na monitorowaniu wydarzeń ekonomiczno-gospodarczych dotykających obszarów danej spółki, a także analizy technicznej polegającej na badaniu zachowania kursu ceny i nastrojów rynkowych, jest realną pomocą dla inwestora w podejmowaniu decyzji inwestycyjnych. Na przykładzie wykresów giełdowych Grupy Kapitałowej CD Projekt- polskiego producenta i dystrybutora gier wideo - ukazano relacje danych fundamentalnych do danych technicznych. Metoda. Artykuł oparty jest na analizie i weryfikacji danych pochodzących z literatury przedmiotu, informacji wystosowanych przez media, a także wykresów giełdowych dostępnych na platformach internetowych. Wyniki i wnioski.  Analiza fundamentalna CD Projekt ukazała, jaki wpływ mają wydarzenia dotyczące spółki na notowania. Inwestorzy sugerując się premierami długo oczekiwanych gier, chętniej kupują akcje, wiedząc iż spółka również jest nastawiona na zysk. W sytuacji, gdy premiera została opóźniona, wielu inwestorów wyprzedała akcje (notowania spadły o 7% po ogłoszeniu wiadomości). Analiza techniczna nie wymaga systematycznego monitorowania wydarzeń, aczkolwiek opiera się na zdobywaniu wiedzy z zakresu obserwacji wykresów giełdowych oraz wykorzystywania narzędzi służących do interpretacji sygnałów generowanych przez nastroje rynkowe. Wartość poznawcza. W artykule zaprezentowano przykłady wydarzeń wynikających z analizy fundamentalnej oraz ich konsekwencje w cenie kursu, jak również wprowadzenie do tematu analizy technicznej oraz możliwości jakie wnoszą zastosowane w niej narzędzia.
Aim. The aim of the article is to present the concept of fundamental analysis, based on the monitoring of economic events affecting the areas of a given company, as well as a technical analysis involving a study of the price behaviour and market moods in relation to stock market charts, based on the example of CD Projekt Capital Group, a Polish producer and distributor of video games. Method. The article is based on the analysis and verification of data from the literature on the subject, information provided by the media, and stock market charts available on online platforms. Results and conclusions. CD Projekt's fundamental analysis showed the impact of the company's actions on the stock market. Investors, following the premieres of long-awaited games, are more likely to buy shares, knowing that the company is also profit-oriented. With the premiere delayed, many investors sold the stock (quotes fell 7% after the news was announced). Technical analysis does not require systematic monitoring of events, although it is based on gaining knowledge in the field of observing stock market charts and using tools for interpreting signals generated by market moods. Cognitive value. The article presents examples of events resulting from a fundamental analysis and their consequences in the exchange rate, as well as an introduction to the topic of technical analysis and the possibilities offered by the tools used in it.

Purpose: The realization of large, characterized by high uncertainty and variability IT projects is usually complicated and overlong, and their effectiveness often lower than expected. Hence the role of the project leader as the person responsible for the success of the project is of particular importance. In this context the purpose of the paper was to investigate the relationship between technical (directional in IT) education and technical experience in IT of a leader, and team work effectiveness in IT projects, recognized as one of the predictors of the project's success. Design/methodology/approach: Empirical research was conducted to verify the existence of the predicted relationship and to reach the aim of the paper. The study was quantitative in character. The set of hypotheses was built based on the theoretical research and then verified the CAWI method on sample of 178 respondents working on IT projects in organizations operating in Poland. The calculations were made using the PS Imago Pro ver. 7.0 and Process macro for SPSS ver. 4.1 by Andrew F. Hayes. Findings: It has been shown that there is indirect relationship between the studied variables, and the mediators of this relationship are leader’s technical competences and the leader’s efficiency. There is a mediation relationship between the dependent variable (team work effectiveness) and independent variables (technical education and technical experience in IT of a leader). Research limitations/implications: Performed empirical study is burdened with certain limitations. The obtained sample of 178 respondents is by far not a representative sample and verified only in one business context (Poland). In order to generalize the results in future research cross-national study and larger samples can be collected. Practical implications: The obtained results contribute to practice of management, showing that among various groups of factors determining team work effectiveness in IT projects both soft and hard (technical) competencies of the leader are important. The latter are shaped by the technical, directional (in IT) education and technical (in IT) experience of the leader. This has practical implications, especially for HR services in the process of employees recruitment. In addition to soft skills, knowledge of programming languages and programming experience should be a significant assets wanted when hiring IT project managers. Originality/value: This research enhances understanding factors determining team work effectiveness in IT projects. The research make an important contribution to the body of project management and human resources management literature by demonstrating the meaning of the technical education and technical experience of a leader for team work effectiveness in IT projects.

Przedstawiono rozwiązania techniczne i organizacyjne, zastosowane w Zakładzie Doświadczalnym Instytutu Melioracji i Użytków Zielonych w Falentach na Stawach Raszyńskich, poprawiające opłacalność produkcji karpia oraz minimalizujące negatywny wpływ stawów na środowisko wodne. Opracowanie i wdrożenie tych rozwiązań zostało częściowo sfinansowane przez Agencję Restrukturyzacji i Modernizacji Rolnictwa ze środków Europejskiego Funduszu Rybackiego w ramach Sektorowego Programu Operacyjnego "Rybołówstwo i przetwórstwo ryb". Rozwiązania te, których koszt realizacji wyniósł ok. 2 mln zł., stanowią spójny układ kompleksowych rozwiązań Do szczególnie istotnych dla gospodarki stawowej obiektów o innowacyjnym charakterze należy zaliczyć okołostawowe obiekty małej retencji wodnej, tzw. stawy kieszeniowe, wykorzystywane do retencjonowania wód przesiąkających przez groble stawowe, infiltrujących do gruntu z rzeki oraz wód dobrej jakości dopływających do kompleksu stawowego. Obiektom tym towarzyszą wysokosprawne małe pompownie wodne, umożliwiające stosowanie w gospodarce wodno-stawowej zamkniętych obiegów wody. Do grupy obiektów innowacyjnych należy również staw osadnikowy, służący do mechanicznego oczyszczania wód spuszczanych ze stawów. Za innowacje należy także uznać szerokie zastosowanie urządzeń do ewidencjonowania poborów i zrzutów wody oraz ilości wody retencjonowanej w stawach, jak również wykorzystywanie danych pomiarowych do planowania i realizacji rozrządu wody. Oczekuje się, że wdrożone rozwiązania znajdą zastosowanie w tych obiektach stawowych, w których zachodzi potrzeba poprawy bilansu wody, w szczególności zaś zmniejszenia jej deficytu i poprawy jakości wody ujmowanej na stawy i z nich spuszczanej.
Within the frames of research and development project, technical innovations were introduced in Raszyn fish-pond complex. The innovations concern improvement of water management: the objects of small water retention, water distribution control and purification systems, including adequate solutions of technical structures (pumping stations, settlement pond). Actually the monitoring investigations are carried out on the effect of innovations on water balance in the ponds and the quality of water intaken and emptying the ponds.

Context: The Technical Debt metaphor has grown in popularity. More software is being created and has to be maintained. Agile methodologies, in particular Scrum, are widely used by development teams around the world. Estimation is an often practised step in sprint planning. The subject matter of this paper is the impact technical debt has on estimations. Objective: The goal of this research is to identify estimation problems and their solutions due to previously introduced technical debt in software projects. Method: The Systematic mapping study (SMS) method was applied in the research. Papers were selected from the popular digital databases (IEEE, ACM, Scopus, etc.) using defined search criteria. Afterwards, a snowballing procedure was performed and the final publication set was filtered using inclusion/exclusion criteria. Results: 42 studies were selected and evaluated. Five categories of problems and seven proposed solutions to the problems have been extracted from the papers. Problems include items related to business perspective (delivery pressure or lack of technical debt understanding by business decision-makers) and technical perspective (difficulties in forecasting architectural technical debt impact or limits of source code analysis). Solutions were categorized in: more sophisticated decision-making tools for business managers, better tools for estimation support and technical debt management tools on an architectural-level, portfolio approach to technical debt, code audit and technical debt reduction routine conducted every sprint. Conclusion: The results of this mapping study can help taking the appropriate approach in technical debt mitigation in organizations. However, the outcome of the conducted research shows that the problem of measuring technical debt impact on estimations has not yet been solved. We propose several directions for further investigation. In particular, we would focus on more sophisticated decision-making tools.

The article’s main topic is the research of primary school technical education in the Czech Republic, in the Federal Republic of Germany and in Slovakia. Modern society cannot do without technical development, information technologies and seeking new sources of energy while maintaining ecological balance. This trend requires essential changes in the system of education. Technical literacy must become an important part of education as early as on the elementary school level. Monitoring and analysis of various approaches to technical education in the countries listed above is one of the key outputs of an international project named World of Work (WOW), which has got the registration number 2015-1-SK01-KA201-008942.

While considerable academic efforts have focused on integrating cutting-edge educational technologies into learning and instruction, it is not yet clear what effect the implementation of these technologies have had on enduring educational goals. This article reminds educations stakeholders that any plan for technology implementations should be based on serving broad educational goals. Regardless of how attractive cutting-edge technologies are, their application in education should be evaluated in light of enduring educational goals as summarized in the following: to develop responsible citizens who have basic knowledge and skills and who will become effective problem solvers and lifelong learners. This article reviews educational goals in several contexts to illustrate that while variations have evolved and many educational technologies have emerged, the basic educational goals have remained relatively stable. In reviewing the challenges and opportunities for emerging educational technologies, the basic argument herein is to begin with these basic educational goals rather than committing to the latest educational technological fad.

Przedmiotem rozważań opisanych w niniejszym artykule jest optymalizacja typowej, przemysłowej przekładni zębatej. Przeanalizowano zaprojektowane trzy przekładnie trójstopniowe o zębach prostych, skośnych i daszkowych, o możliwie najmniejszych gabarytach, mających możliwość przeniesienia moc do 7,5 kW przy prędkości obrotowej 1500 obr/min i przełożeniu i = 52. Wykonano analizę techniczno-ekonomiczną w celu ograniczenia jej gabarytów oraz oszacowania kosztów wykonania przekładni z kołami o różnych liniach kształtu zęba. Wyniki analiz opracowano w formie tabelarycznej. Na podstawie wykonanych obliczeń wskazano rodzaj najbardziej optymalnego rozwiązania konstrukcyjnego.
The subject of the considerations described in this article is a typical optimization, industrial change-gear trains. Examined the designed three stage change-gear trains with spur gear, screw teeth, herringbone (conical) teeth, the smallest possible dimensions, with the possibility of transferring power to 7,5 kW at a rotational speed 1500 rpm and gear ratio i = 52. Technical-economic analysis was performed in order to reduce its dimensions and estimate the costs of gear wheels of different shape lines of the tooth.. The results of the analyses developed in tabular form. Based on calculations made indicated the type of most optimal design.

W artykule opisano sposób obsługi zmian w dokumentacji technicznej wykorzystując teorię obsługi masowej. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na zagadnienia dotyczące nanoszenia zmian na rysunkach i powiadamianie o zmianach. Opisany sposób postępowania może usprawnić realizację przedsięwzięć budowlanych oraz ułatwić wdrożenie normy PN-ISO10006:2002, w której główną uwagę zwraca się na proces zarządzania zmianą.
This paper describes the method of handling changes in technical documentation, using the theory of mass handling. Particular attention is drawn to issues relating to the making of changes to drawings, and to the giving of notification of changes. The procedure described may improve the efficient execution of building projects and facilitate implementation of the PN-ISO10006:2002 standard, in which the key focus is on the process of change management.
