The article presents the construct of the teacher’s educational philosophy in relation to thinking about the child and the student. The analysis of different ways regarding teacher’s thinking about his own decisions and actions towards the child reveals the sources and the ways of creating a personal educational philosophy. Individual beliefs about the students, nature of their development, their minds, their knowledge and learning processes can contribute to the continuous reflection and crystallization of TEP. In the following text the attention was also paid on possible teacher’s pedagogies that may arise from the mentioned reflection.

Opis:
The effects of a teacher’s work depend not only on his/her qualifications and professional skills, but also on his/her personality traits and life attitude. All these components are important in the teaching and educational work, and at the same time they make up the ethos of the teaching profession. Contemporary conditions of the functioning of Polish education, the pace and scope of transformations taking place, and finally the often signaled crisis of the educational impact of the school are arguments proving the need to rebuild the ethos, which requires its proper interpretation, especially in academic milieu. The article is a research report, the subject of which is the teacher’s professional ethos.

The article presents the role of teachers’ professional reflection in inclusive education. A teacher in a classroom with pupils with diverse educational needs (including persons with disabilities, behavioural disorders or coming from different cultures) faces many non-standard educational situations. He/She must modify his/her educational activities based on observation of phenomena, deepening his/her knowledge and reflection on his/her observations. In these activities he/she should get the help of specialists, school administration and social environment. The author draws a model of changing the personal professional knowledge of teachers of self-reflection.

The author attempts to determine the specific role and tasks of the teacher in a global school and classroom. Nowadays, in a world that is growing smaller and flatter every day, the responsibility of a teacher gains particular importance. Teachers should perceive their students both as individuals and as members of heterogeneous, interdependent global community. In order to navigate the complexities of the 21st century, people need to be globally competent. The way to foster global competence at school is through cultural competence, transformational learning, and personalized education. Teachers who welcome and celebrate individual student differences in cultures, religions, languages, values and beliefs, interests and talents – simultanously create the climate of education that can support learning with others and among the others. Currently, cultural and global competences appear as teachers’ professional competences, as well as a purpose of classroom interactions.

The paper deals with the work of a teacher – educator. S/He influences the pupils, undertakes actions which are observed by them and affect their development. Special importance must be attached to the attitude towards the job. The ethical level of a teacher illustrates his/ her demeanour as a pedagogue and makes it possible to understand the essence of the educator’s job.

Doskonalenie zawodowe jest konstytutywną cechą zawodu nauczyciela, a podejmowanie działań w celu podnoszenia i poszerzania swoich kwalifikacji zawodowych przez nauczycieli jest dzisiaj szczególnym elementem oceny jakości ich własnej pracy, a nawet pracy placówek oświatowych, w których są zatrudnieni. Należałoby zatem spodziewać się, że podejmując wysiłek doskonalenia się nauczyciele wybierają takie formy zajęć (studia, kursy doskonalące, szkolenia itd.), które zaspokajają rzeczywistą potrzebę samorealizacji i służą podnoszeniu jakości ich pracy. Celem tekstu jest przedstawienie podejmowanych przez nauczycieli działań w kierunku doskonalenia zawodowego jako zachowań konsumpcyjnych. Artykuł składa się z krótkiego wprowadzenia teoretycznego dotyczącego ważniejszych pojęć, takich jak konsumpcja i zachowania konsumpcyjne, prezentacji założeń i wyników ilościowo-jakościowych badań przeprowadzonych w grupie nauczycieli oraz wniosków. Tekst kończy się konkluzją, iż wiele zachowań konsumenckich badanych nauczycieli nie pozwoliło na zaspokojenie rzeczywistych, a jedynie otoczkowych lub pozornych składowych potrzeby samorealizacji, a świadczą o tym cechy sposobów, jakie wybrali badani w celu jej zaspokojenia.
Professional development is a constitutive feature of the teaching profession. Taking action to improve and broaden professional skills is today an important element in assessing the quality of teachers’ work, and also the work of educational institutions, in which they are employed. It would therefore be expected that in order to improve themselves, teachers choose such forms of activities (studies, professional courses, trainings, etc.) that meet a real need for self-realization and serve to improve the quality of their work. The purpose of the text is to present the activities undertaken by teachers leading to improve their professional competences as consumer behaviour. The article consists of a brief introduction on the most important theoretical concepts such as consumption and consumer behaviour, presenting the assumptions and results of quantitative and qualitative research conducted in a group of teachers and conclusions. The text ends with a conclusion that consumer behaviour of teachers does not allow them to meet the real, but only apparent need for self-development. The features of professional development chosen by the teachers to satisfy this need prove this conclusion.

The article deals with the issue of the importance of voice production in the work of a teacher. Incompetent voice use is one of the main factors causing disorders of the voice organ. The article presents four neurocognitive processes (excitation, perception, memorisation and using, transferring and adapting information and/or actions) during learning. Based on these processes, good learning can occur if the teacher chooses appropriate methods. The article presents an analysis of 28 distance lessons. The results show that active methods are most frequently used during the excitement process. In the process of perception, the verbal (questioning) method is used. While using, transferring, and adapting information and/or actions, the teacher applies various verbal methods and self-check tests to enable pupils to revise what they have learned.

The article is an attempt at synthesis of different approaches to the teacher’s professional competence. The author surveys selected typologies, singling out criteria of the division of competence. Then she proposes a multidimentional presentation of the structure of competence in the form of “competence diagram”, and points out the possibilities of its practical use as a tool in planning and evaluating the teachers’ training and their individual development, as well as in pedeutological research.
Artykuł jest próbą dokonania syntezy różnych podejść do zawodowych kompetencji nauczycielskich. Autorka dokonuje przeglądu ich typologii, wyróżniając kryteria podziału kompetencji. Następnie przedstawia własną propozycję wielowymiarowego ujęcia struktury kompetencji w postaci „siatki kompetencji” oraz wskazuje możliwość praktycznego jej wykorzystania jako narzędzia w planowaniu i ewaluacji kształcenia nauczycieli, indywidualnym rozwoju zawodowym oraz badaniach pedeutologicznych.

The purpose of this article is to present the life and organ work of Bruno Stein. The preparation for teaching was very important in Prussia, as it somehow traced a path of development for young people not only willing to be teachers but also musicians in the future. Bruno Stein, when composing organ preludes, recognised this situation and simultaneously became a model teacher as well as a composer of reliable and solid artistic achievements. The crucial element constituting the core of this article is the analysis of the selected preludes for organ. Having taken these compositions into account, one can observe the artistic means that were used by the composer, explore their style and purpose. Apart from organ works, Bruno Stein composed many other vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental pieces.

„Jakie formy wspierania rozwoju kompetencji dydaktycznych nauczycieli deklarują dyrektorzy szkół w trudnych dla edukacji czasach kryzysu?”. Odpowiedź na to pytanie problemowe starano się znaleźć prowadząc badania sondażowe nie podczas rozmów w dyrektorskich szkolnych gabinetach, ale wykorzystując coraz popularniejsze wśród nauczycieli i studentów pedagogiki narzędzia internetowe. Wyniki badań potwierdziły, że mimo trudności życie w szkołach nie zamarło. Nauczyciele są nadal zainteresowani swoim rozwojem zawodowym, a dyrektorzy reprezentujący różne style zarządzania podejmują rozmaite działania, by ich w tym wspierać.
This study investigated which forms of assistance of the development of the teachers’ educational abilities are being applied by school principals at current difficult times for education. To answear this resarch question the author decided to use online questionnary that was given to the teachers and pedagogy students. Based on the results it was conducted that despite the difficult situation the teachers are still interested in self development. Furthermore, the school principals use diverse activities to support the teachers.
