Opis:: W styczniu 2008 roku zakończył się proces realizacji projektu RIS MAZOVIA. Rezultatem ponad dwuletniej pracy było opracowanie dokumentu Regionalnej Strategii Innowacji dla Mazowsza, przyjętego przez Sejmik Województwa Mazowieckiego w kwietniu 2008 roku. Głównym celem projektu była identyfikacja potrzeb oraz barier związanych z podnoszeniem poziomu innowacyjności w województwie. Kluczowe założenia strategii zostały zawarte na poziomie celu głównego, tj.: wzrostu innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw Mazowsza prowadzącego do przyspieszenia wzrostu i zwiększenia konkurencyjności w skali UE oraz poszczególnych celów strategicznych. Proces wdrażania RSI rozpoczął się zaraz po zakończeniu projektu, czego przykładem jest: uruchomiony konkurs Innowator Mazowsza czy przygotowywane przez UMWM projekty systemowe, m.in.: Monitoring i ewaluacja wdrażania Regionalnej Strategii Innowacji dla Mazowsza, etc. Więcej szczegółowych informacji na stronach internetowych www.mazovia.pl i www.ris-mazovia.pl.

Opis:: W opracowaniu przedstawiono wyniki badań, których celem była ocena efektów absorpcji funduszy europejskich na inwestycje z zakresu odnawialnych źródeł energii w woj. lubelskim oraz sformułowanie wstępnych rekomendacji na przyszły okres programowania. W ramach RPO WL i PROW (3.2.1) w woj. lubelskim zamontowano ponad 34 tys. instalacji o mocy 189,2 MWt i 4,1 MWe, przeważnie kolektorów słonecznych (95,8%), kotłów na biomasę (2,3%) i paneli fotowoltaicznych (1,9%). Efektem zrealizowanych projektów było zmniejszenie zużycia paliw konwencjonalnych na obszarach wiejskich o około 4% w ciągu roku, co jest równoważne wartości energetycznej 19 tys. t węgla kamiennego. Działania podjęte w ramach analizowanych programów przyczyniły się również do redukcji emisji CO2 o około 1,7 tys. t, podstawowego gazu cieplarnianego oraz pyłów i innych zanieczyszczeń.
The paper presents results of study aimed at assessing an absorption of European Union funds intended for investments in renewable energy in the Lubelskie province. Source of the data was the Department of Regional Operational Programme in the Marshal’s Office for Lubelskie province in Lublin and the Department of European Funds in Ministry of Energy. With the funds from the Regional Operational Programme of the Lubelskie province and the Rural Development Programme (3.2.1) over 34 thousand renewable energy installations with capacity of 189,2 MWt and 4,1 MWe, were build. Most of them were solar collectors (95.8%), biomass boilers (2.3%) and photovoltaic panels (1.9%). Such significant share of solar energy projects proves the hypothesis of the Renewable Energy Development Program for the Lubelskie province that it is possible for the Lubelskie region to become a national leader in the use of solar energy for the production of heat and electricity. As a result of implemented projects the consumption of conventional fuels in rural areas dropped by around 4% per year, what is equal to the energy value of 19 thousand tons of bituminous coal. Furthermore, actions taken with the help of above mentioned programs resulted in a reduction of CO2 emissions by around 1,7 thousand tons of primary greenhouse gas, dust and other pollutants.

Opis:: Goal – the purpose of this article is to generalize theoretical approaches to determining the specifics of women’s entrepreneurship, to form a portrait of a modern woman in business, to identify barriers to the development of women’s entrepreneurship and ways of its development. Research methodology – in the main part, the analysis of economic sectors, which modern women prefer when choosing a field of activity, is carried out. A comparative analysis was carried out and the distinctive features of enterprises run by men and women were identified. Score/results – the positive experience of conducting women’s business in Poland, which can be successfully used to improve and develop women’s entrepreneurship in Belarus, is revealed. Options for improving the current situation, aimed at the development of women’s entrepreneurship, are proposed. Originality/value – the article deals with the formation and development of women’s business as a basis for the activation of small and medium‑sized businesses in the Republic of Belarus. The features of the activities of enterprises run by women are revealed, and the strengths and weaknesses in their work are highlighted.

Opis:: This article contains the results of research on the evaluation of the training offer addressed to the medical staff of one of the largest Polish specialist hospitals. The authors have used surveys addressed to employees: doctors and nurses. On the basis of numeral data received from the respondents, two “quality maps” have been drawn that show the opinion of “white coat” workers (doctors and nurses) about the hospital training offer. This work presents similarities and differences between assessments of doctors and nurses. A short description of the hospital as well as its weaknesses and strengths has been presented. A direction of possible changes has been indicated by the employees. The authors indicate the significance of training programs in order to gain work satisfaction, and the role of the personnel strategy to achieve the objectives. They emphasize the significance of aimed professional development in a health-care-providing institution where knowledge and skills have an influence on the health and lives of patients. Research results showed the validity of the practical use of the quality map in the process of hospital management. This tool allows us to get answers about which areas (according to respondents) carrying out corrective actions are recommended.

Opis:: In this article, the authors discuss the nature of peer-based prevention programs. The analyzes are conducted in the context of school bullying prevention and the associated need to build a friendly and safe school environment. Attention was paid to shaping a positive peer culture by involving young people in various types of prosocial activities. Peer leadership programs are a special kind of activity where the driving force is youth. Implementation of a peer program into school life enables the full potential of young people to be activated. Such programs mobilize young people to make positive changes in their social surroundings, to help themselves and others through constructive cooperation. Taking into account that these programs are carried out within the school environment, the condition of the effectiveness is the attitude of school toward such activities. It is important to foster positive peer relationships, to encourage students to participate and create the right conditions for change.

Opis:: ObjectivesMedical students suffer from a considerable level of stress, which can result in the deterioration of their mental health, including depression or suicidal ideation. They are afraid to seek help due to stigmatization and environmental ostracism. The goal of the study is to analyze the psychological support and stress management programs for students supported by medical schools in PolandMaterial and MethodsThe authors sent out e-mails with 9 questions regarding the issue being analyzed to all 19 medical schools in Poland. They obtained answers from 15 such schools, which corresponds to a response rate of 79%. The study was conducted in 2018–2019, before the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.ResultsDue to the lack of central regulations, support is provided by medical schools individually. Those solutions focus on short-term, temporary therapy. If a longer therapy is needed, students are redirected to external health providers. Moreover, information about the support is not transferred by student-friendly communication channels. Conclusions: Support should be flexible, and it should quickly adapt to the emerging trends and consider students’ feedback. A future model of psychological support could be a center organized as a transfer point between a university problem-solving facility and external health providers, concentrating on short-term activity. Quick support would eliminate potential complications and more serious mental problems.

Opis:: Families are responsible for the functioning of the future generations. However, in their lives there may occur difficult situations which they are not able to overcome. Then the government provides the necessary assistance through actions carried out by aid institutions and various support programs. Currently in Poland there are many programs to help the poorest and the families in need. One of them is the program “Rodzina 500 plus” which is very well-reviewed by the public . It is, however, necessary to control the effects of the support given by the government to improve aid projects and indeed direct the stream of money to those who need it the most. The article includes analyses of the studies carried out in the Opolskie Voivodeship which aim was to show effects of the current implementation of the program “Rodzina 500 plus” from the perspective of the social workers.

Rozwój w obszarze technologii informatycznych jest niezwykle dynamiczny i to, co przed laty trzeba było mozolnie projektować i obliczać ręcznie, obecnie przy wykorzystaniu odpowiednich programów komputerowych, można uzyskać znacznie mniejszymi nakładami pracy. Celem pracy było porównanie wybranych narzędzi komputerowego projektowania z metodami tradycyjnymi wykorzystywanymi w procesie kształcenia współczesnego inżyniera branży sanitarnej na Wydziale Inżynierii Lądowej i Środowiska Politechniki Gdańskiej.
The informatics progress and the fast development of computer programs of the last 20 years has changed radically modern engineering workshop. Currently, in all stages of engineering design is essential to use computer tools and specialized software. Technical universities wanting to customize the training program of the modern sanitary engineer to the labor market should work closely with companies that offer software for computer design support. Developments in the field of information technology is extremely dynamic, and what you had years ago to design and calculate laboriously by hand, now using appropriate computer tools, you can get by a much smaller amount of work. The aim of the study was to compare the selected tools of computer design with the traditional methods used in the training process of modern sanitary engineer at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Gdansk University of Technology.

Opis:: Celem niniejszego opracowania jest analiza wpływu orientacji indywidualistycznej jednostek na poziom aprobaty dla programów umacniania rodzin, szczególnie Programu Rodzina 500+ jako nowego instrumentu polityki rodzinnej wspierającej rodziny w wypełnianiu ich funkcji. Głównym problemem badawczym jest odpowiedź na pytanie: Czy w ocenie polityki rodzinnej i wybranych instytucjonalnych instrumentów wsparcia dominuje przekonanie o jej prorozwojowych i inwestycyjnych funkcjach? Istotne jest także, czy wprowadzenie nowych programów pomocowych przyczynia się do poprawy funkcjonowania rodzin i umacnia tradycyjny model rodziny. Empiryczną podstawą prezentowanej analizy są badania własne autorki nad wpływem państwa na lokalną politykę społeczną przeprowadzone na przełomie roku 2021/22 metodą ustrukturyzowanego wywiadu kwestionariuszowego. Zebrane dane opracowano statystycznie z wykorzystaniem programu Statistica 8.0. Przedstawione wyniki badań zarówno własnych, jak i ogólnopolskich potwierdzają tezę o zasadniczej zmianie oczekiwań w zakresie polityki państwa. Pozytywnie odbierane jest przede wszystkim oddziaływanie programu na warunki materialne rodzin. Widoczne jest przekonanie o konieczności wsparcia wszystkich rodzin, a nie tylko tych najniżej sytuowanych. Jednocześnie, co wykazały zaprezentowane analizy, opinie w sprawie kierunków wsparcia rodzin i ich efektywności są mocno zróżnicowane. Orientacja indywidualistyczna części Polaków w znaczącym stopniu determinuje niechęć do wspierania zarówno kulturowo ukształtowanego modelu rodziny, jak i rodzin w wypełnianiu ich społecznych ról.
The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of individualistic orientation of individuals on the level of approval for family empowerment programs, especially the Family 500+ Program as a new instrument of family policy supporting families in fulfilling their functions. The main research problem is the answer to the question: is the conviction about its pro-development and investment functions dominating in the assessment of family policy and selected institutional support instruments? An important question is also whether the introduction of new assistance programs contributes to the improvement of the functioning of families and strengthens the traditional family model. The empirical basis of the presented analysis is the author’s own research on the influence of the state on local social policy, carried out at the turn of 2021/22. by the method of structured questionnaire interview. The collected data was statistically processed using the Statistica 8.0 software. The presented results of both own and national research confirm the thesis about a fundamental change in expectations in the field of state policy. The programme’s impact on the financial conditions of families is positively perceived. There is a conviction that all families need to be supported, not only the least-off ones. At the same time, as demonstrated by the analyzes, opinions on the directions of support for families and their effectiveness are very diverse. The individualistic orientation of some Poles is largely determined by the reluctance to support both the culturally shaped family model and families in fulfilling their social roles.
