    Opis:
    The objective of the paper is to analyze the efficiency of design methods proposed in different codes according to the load carrying capacity of concrete structures. In particular, three standard recommendations have been considered: the ACI 318 shear design model, the equation by Eurocode 2 and a new design procedure from Model Code 2010. In the paper the flexural concrete members, which are reinforced longitudinally but without transverse reinforcement, are considered. The design values of the load carrying capacity of such members obtained from these three codes were compared with experimental results. An advanced statistical analysis has been applied to predict of dependent variable (load carrying capacity of tested beams) and to perform a comparative analysis. On the basis of the analysis conclusions have been drawn according to the fit between the design methods and the test data.

    The article presents the types (with examples) of the normative documents used at the research institute. It describes methods of meet the demand for standards, technical specifications and codes of conduct. It presents issues related to the supervision over normative documents, including an update of the set of standards, control over the lending of documents and archiving of outdated documents.

    Opis:
    Personel laboratoriów sądowych powinien mieć nie tylko wysokie kompetencje merytoryczne, ale przede wszystkim postępować zgodnie ze standardami zawodowymi i powszechnie obowiązującymi normami moralnymi. Fundamentem działania pracowników laboratorium jest kodeks etyki określający standardy i najlepsze praktyki popierane oraz stosowane w danej organizacji. Zdaniem autorów istnieje pilna potrzeba opracowania kodeksu etyki zawodowej biegłych sądowych z uwagi na specyfikę wykonywanych przez nich badań, odpowiedzialność moralną na nich ciążącą oraz brak jasnych kryteriów wyboru laboratoriów wykonujących badania na rzecz organów ścigania i wymiaru sprawiedliwości.
    The authors consider the need for creating the code of ethics for forensic practitioners. Adhering to ethical rules across organizations contributes to reinforcing their status, market position as well as provides for their development. In such organizations, the staff members do not only possess a high level of competence, but they also follow professional standards and universally accepted moral rules, e.g. honesty or accountability. The implementation of the code of ethics could also constitute an important element of the management system in line with PN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 It should be noted that code of ethics plays only advisory and controlling functions. None of the codes will guarantee that their principles will be followed, if employees themselves do not live up to those rules.

Nicht nur die sprachlichen Abweichungen des Ethnolekts dem Standarddeutschen gegenüber, sondern auch dessen Vorläufer, historische Bedingungen samt ihren linguistischen Manifestationen werden hier aufgegriffen und näher beleuchtet.
    The subject of this paper is a mixed variant of German which arose in large urban agglomerations with participation of mixed youth, indigenous German youth and youth of German lineage. The text outlines historical phenomena, and also linguistic theories which underlie and account for the diversity of mixed code with regard to the standard language.

    Opis:
    This article shows how the language of Shakespeare’s plays has been rendered into Catalan in three especially significant periods: the late 19th century, the early 20th century, and the late 20th and early 21st centuries. The first section centres on the contrast between natural and unnatural language in Hamlet, and considers how this differentiation is carried out (by linguistic techniques that differ substantially from Shakespeare’s) in a late 19th-century Catalan adaptation by Gaietà Soler. The second part of the article investigates the reasons why in an early 20th-century translation of King Lear the translator, Anfòs Par, resorts to medieval instead of present-time language. The last section of the article illustrates how and explores the motivations why Salvador Oliva’s first (1985) version of The Tempest is retranslated in 2006 using a different language model. The ultimate aim of the paper is to put forward the hypothesis that, in the case of Catalan, Shakespearean translations are both a reflection of the current state of the language and a major linguistic experimentation that shapes and creates (sometimes through a via negativa) the Catalan literary language.

    На прыкладзе творчасцi класiка беларускай лiтаратуры Максiма Багдановiча даследуецца роля лiтаратурнага канона ў эстэтычнай самаiдэнтыфiкацыi нацыянальнай лiтаратуры. Адзначаецца, што лiтаратурны канон выступае ў якасцi стратэгii культурнай iдэнтычнасцi, адной з дзейсных форм i важнай умовай складання культурнага сiмвалiчнага свету сэнсаў, фундзiруемага агульнакультурнымi каштоўнасцямi челавецтва. Сцвярджаецца, што гiсторыка-культурныя, мастацкiя, анталагiчныя, быцiйныя каштоўнасцi i сэнсы, эксплiцiраваныя ў паэтычным каноне Максiма Багдановiча, ставалiся важной часткай духоўнага вымярэння, культурнай iнтэграцыi, гарманiзацыi сацыяльных адносiн. Адметнай асаблiвасцю звароту паэта да кананiчнай мастацкай формы прызнаецца замацаванне за ёй ролi сiмвалiчнага кансалiдзiруючага знака-рэфэрэнта, якi мусiць фармiраваць «культурную свядомасць», прывiваць пачуццё агульнага эстэтызававанага этнакультурнага адзiнства, служыць сродкам духоўнай iнтэграцыi i нацыянальнай кансалiдацыi грамадства.
    W artykule omówiono rolę kanonu literackiego w estetycznej samoidentyfikacji narodowej. Posłużono się przykładem twórczości klasyka literatury białoruskiej Maksyma Bogdanowicza. Autor zwrócił uwagę na fakt, iż kanon literacki funkcjonuje jako strategia tożsamości kulturowej, jednej z najbardziej skutecznych form i ważnych warunków budowania symbolicznego świata zmysłów z wykorzystaniem wartości wyznawanych przez ludzi. Stwierdził również, że znaczenia historyczno-kulturowe, twórcze, ontologiczne, egzystencjalne objaśniane w poetyckim kanonie Maksyma Bogdanowicza były ważną częścią wymiaru duchowego, interpretacji kulturowej, koordynowania relacji społecznych. Szczególną cechą zwrócenia się poety w kierunku kanonicznej formie twórczej jest powierzenie jej roli symbolicznego znaku referencyjnego, którego celem jest tworzenie „świadomości kulturowej”, rozwijanie poczucia jedności etnokulturowej, służenie jako środek interpretacji duchowej i narodowej konsolidacji społeczeństwa.
    On the example of works of the classic of Belarusian literature Maksim Bogdanovich, the role of literary canon in aesthetic self-identification of national literature has been investigated. It is emphasized that the literary canon acts as a strategy of cultural identity, one of the effective forms, and important conditions of formation of the cultural symbolic world of meanings established by the general cultural values of humankind. It is stated that historical, cultural, artistic, ontological, existential values and meanings explicated in the poetic canon of Maksim Bogdanovich became an important part of spiritual dimension, cultural integration, coordination of social relations. A distinctive feature of the poet’s appeal to the canonical art form is represented by the role of a symbolic consolidating referential sign designed to form a “cultural consciousness”, to instill the sense of general aesthetized ethnocultural unity, to serve as a means of spiritual integration and national consolidation of society.

    Opis:
    The paper deals with professionalisation of teacher training with a focus on future mother-tongue teachers, i.e. teachers of the Czech language and literature, with a view to the new National Curriculum and its sections, namely the subject group Language and Linguistic Communication. The authors also stress comprehensiveness and inseparability of language teaching and language education and point to the communicative approach based on the dialogic nature of effective teaching communication. The interconnection of teacher – content of education – pupil is seen through the naturalness of speech contact, respecting the aim of mother-tongue teaching defined as cultivation of the linguistic code in pupils with a teacher characterized as a model for speech.
