    The work presents selected results of experimental research on special purpose vehicles used on military training grounds, and bench tests of their main structural elements. The results are connected mainly with identifying the main vibration parameters of those vehicles (regarding weight, resilience and damping), and with the assessment of the level of dynamic loads. The more output data experimental research provides, the more input data we have for designing models. Determined in laboratory tests, weight parameters (regarding weight and moments of inertia), coefficients of stiffness and damping, as well as selected resilience and damping characteristics, are applied in the process of creating the numerical models of assemblies, systems, and complete vehicles. The numerical models created are subject to full verification in order to minimize the differences between the real objects and their representations. The models are applied in multivariate simulation tests of the existing design solutions, upgrading them, or creating new designs. Due to a certain sensitivity of the range of special purpose vehicles, the results of experimental tests and simulation analyses presented in the work are mainly qualitative rather than quantitative.

    Opis:
    Strict emission standards mean that the internal combustion engines used in means of transport must meet the standards for the emission of harmful compounds. For this reason, there is an increase in the use of alternative sources of propulsion, including rail transport. The article presents unconventional solutions of drive systems in rail vehicles using hybrid systems and fuel cells. The concept of the realizing project of a specialpurpose rail vehicle, which is to be able to be driven from three different sources, was presented. Considerations concerning the selection of the internal combustion propulsion system, which is to be used as an auxiliary in the vehicle, are described. The possibilities of installing the power unit on the vehicle were also presented.

Na podstawie umów o powierzenie zadań, zawartych z prezydentami miast-organizatorów, realizują one przedsięwzięcia inwestora zastępczego w zakresie organizacji przygotowań do turnieju i wykonują zadania związane z budową stadionów oraz infrastruktury towarzyszącej.

    Motorsport constitutes an excellent research laboratory for the entire automotive industry and all the related industry branches. Since the dawn of motorization, motor vehicle component systems have been developed and improved. This process will go on and there is no doubt that it will never stop. Engines with rising performance require increasing strength of transmission system components. The more efficient use of the power transmission system requires improvements in the suspension system, which will ensure better vehicle handling, and higher efficiency of brakes, so that the vehicles moving with higher and higher speeds can be stopped more effectively. An increase in the cruising speeds entails a higher accident hazard and this, in turn, requires safer construction of the vehicle body. The best way to develop the modifications is to test them in the difficult conditions of professional motorsports. The solutions engineered for this purpose and proven on such a kind of testing ground are afterwards adapted to mass-produced vehicles and used in everyday vehicle operation. This publication is to present the scope of the work to be done when building a high-performance sports car that must meet the requirements of regulations laid down by FIA (Federation Internationale del'Automobile) for vehicles of this type. The works described in this article were undertaken to modify the construction of a mass-produced Renault Clio car of the second generation in order to adapt it for professional motorsports, chiefly for starts in Polish and international rallycross championships. The modifications of this car intended for rallycross racing consisted in the designing or modernization of its individual parts and component units so that they were compatible with the specificity of this sport and were in conformity with FIA requirements.

    In response to the market demand for modern special-purpose rail vehicles, an overview of the rolling stock available on the European and world markets was developed, along with an analysis of the scope of works they performed. The need for new alternative forms of propulsion in line with the development directions, taking into account EU and national environmental goals, was discussed. The paper presents a design of a proprietary modern special-purpose vehicle with an alternative drive. It discusses it compared to other special-purpose vehicles regarding their parameters and the viability of different drive systems, including hydrogen fuel cells.

    Purpose: The key driver to discussing this topic is the research gap in the field of management of SPVs in the ecosystem of innovation and adds the possibility of applying stakeholder theory as a tool supporting their management. Design/methodology/approach: The aim of the article is to indicate the theoretical basis for the application of stakeholder theory as a tool supporting the management of SPVs. The article is based on a review of domestic and foreign literature and analyses the content of reports presenting Polish experiences regarding the performance of university-owned SPVs. Findings: Due to the specific conditions of functioning of SPVs, stakeholder analysis seems to be a useful tool in identifying the expectations of particular interest groups, and subsequently in undertaking actions aimed at effective management of their activities and creating value for the key stakeholders of SPVs. As a result, it may contribute to the increased effectiveness of companies and to more effective use of innovative potential through closer cooperation between science and business in the region. Research limitations/implications: Further research can focus on answers to the question: Are the managers of university-owned SPVs aware of the expectations of their key stakeholders? Practical implications: Stakeholder analysis may be an essential aid for the managers of SPVs in shaping their relations with the environment and building added value for key stakeholders. Originality/value: The article fills a research gap in the field of management of SPVs in the ecosystem of innovation and adds the possibility of applying stakeholder theory as a tool supporting their management.

    The paper discusses organizational aspects of knowledge transfer and the commercialization of public research at Polish universities. It presents the evolution of national legislation in the field of knowledge transfer and commercialization and distinguishes four basic organizational models of these processes at universities: administrative, technology transfer offices, special purpose vehicles, and mixed. The strengths and weaknesses of each model are discussed. It also presents the main challenges and problems associated with the organizational aspects of knowledge transfer and commercialization, and it proposes some possible solutions in this matter.
    W artykule omówiono aspekty organizacyjne transferu technologii na polskich uczelniach. Przedstawiono ewolucję krajowych regulacji prawnych w obszarze transferu technologii oraz wyróżniono cztery bazowe modele organizacyjne transferu technologii w uczelniach: administracyjny, centrów transferu technologii, spółek celowych i mieszany. Omówiono mocne i słabe strony każdego z nich. Przedstawiono również główne wyzwania i problemy związane z wymiarem organizacyjnym transferu technologii oraz propozycje rozwiązań w tym zakresie.

    Publikacja ta poświęcona jest mniej znanemu instrumentowi inżynierii finansowej określanemu pojęciem – sekurytyzacja. Nie ma ono odpowiednika w języku polskim – co oczywiście nie oznacza, że instrument ten nie jest stosowany w Polsce. Instrument ten jednak ma pejoratywne konotacje w dobie kryzysu. Część naukowców i praktyków uważa wręcz, że sekurytyzacja jest współwinowajcą (oczywiście w części) obecnego kryzysu. Choć tak naprawdę głównym winowajcą jest w przypadku tego instrumentu nadmierna chciwość banków. Podejmując próbę przybliżenia czytelnikowi istoty i głównych cech tego interesującego instrumentu finansowego zaprezentuję nie tylko aspekt historyczny powstania i zastosowań sekurytyzacji ale i co chyba bardziej interesujące, główne kierunki pozytywnych zastosowań sekurytyzacji. W tym kontekście zaprezentuję również sprzężenia zwrotne sekurytyzacji i jej zastosowań z obecnym kryzysem.
    The publication is devoted to a less known instrument of financial engineering coined as securitisation. This does not have its Polish equivalent what, of course, does not mean that this instrument is not applied in Poland. However, the instrument has pejorative connotations in the era of crisis. Some academics and practitioners even think that securitisation is an accomplice (of course, partly) of the present crisis, though, to be frank, the main culprit is in the case of this instrument excessive greed of banks. Undertaking an attempt to bling closer to the reader the essence and main features of this interesting financial instrument, I shall present not only the historical aspect of emergence and applications of securitisation but also, what is perhaps more interesting, the main directions of positive applications of securitisation. In this context, I shall also present feedbacks of securitisation and its applications with the present crisis.

    Opis:
    Tire damage, that occurs quite often during operation of special purpose vehicles (building, forest, military, agricultural heavyduty vehicles), affects a vehicle motion also during sudden braking. Motion of a four-axial vehicle has been analysed in order to evaluate the influence of tire damage (cracking, tearing) on its behaviour during sudden braking and based on that to evaluate the possibilities of driver’s reactions to motion disorders resulting from that emergency condition. Using the PC-Crash software, a vehicle model was designed allowing for simulation of special-purpose vehicle motion. The vehicle model includes a possibility of occurring of sudden tire damage when in motion. In such situation a model of cooperation of a tire and a surface is of crucial significance. A semi-empirical, non-linear TMeasy tire model was used. Its parameters were obtained on the basis of the results of the tests performed on 14.00R20 tires with run flat inserts. A vehicle model parameterization was based on the results of the vehicle measurements, however the validation was based on the results of experimental road tests of braking with damaged tires. Performed calculations and simulations indicated that when braking is started a process of vehicle deviation and related motion track modification is initialized. The motion track deviation increases as the initial braking speed is increased.
    Uszkodzenie opony, które dość często pojawia się podczas eksploatacji pojazdów specjalnych (budowlane, leśne, militarne, rolnicze), wpływa na ruch pojazdu, również podczas gwałtownego hamowania. Analizie poddano ruch czteroosiowego pojazdu w celu dokonania oceny wpływu uszkodzenia opon (pęknięcie, rozerwanie) na jego zachowanie się podczas gwałtownego hamowania, a na tej podstawie oceny możliwości reakcji kierowcy na zaburzenia ruchu wynikające z takiego stanu awaryjnego. Korzystając z programu PC-Crash opracowano model pojazdu umożliwiający symulację ruchu pojazdu specjalnego. Model pojazdu uwzględnia możliwość powstania nagłego uszkodzenia opony w czasie jazdy. W takiej sytuacji decydujące znaczenie ma model współpracy opon z nawierzchnią. Zastosowano nieliniowy semi-empiryczcny model opony TMeasy, którego parametry uzyskano na podstawie wyników badań opon 14.00R20 z wkładkami run flat. Parametryzacja modelu pojazdu została oparta na wynikach pomiarów pojazdu, natomiast walidacja na wynikach eksperymentalnych badań drogowych hamowania z uszkodzonym ogumieniem. Przeprowadzone obliczenia i symulacje pokazały, że po rozpoczęciu hamowania następuje proces odchylania pojazdu i związana z tym zmiana toru jazdy. Odchylenie toru jazdy rośnie wraz ze wzrostem prędkości początkowej hamowania.

    Issues of driving stability of special-purpose vehicles result from engineering compromise between need of fulfilment of operational requirements and traction correctness of a vehicle. Especially, it concerns a motion in dynamic conditions with presence of high transverse accelerations. The paper comprises description and analysis of motion stability test results of a special-purpose two-axis vehicle with kerb mass of above 12 ton, with 4WD drive system, on a circular path drive and single line-change. One described methodology of the testing, used testing-measuring instrumentation, and distribution of the instrumentation in tested vehicle. It have been included a brief descriptions of the implemented instrumentation and method of acquisition and processing of the measurement data. One has tested a vehicle with highly located and considerably moved rearward centre of gravity. Such distribution of axle loads resulted from necessity of fulfilment of operational requirements of the vehicle. In the paper are presented test results performed for nominal and reduced with 20% tyre pressure. There were analyzed runs of lateral accelerations and axle slip angles in assumed condition of motion. One formulated general conclusions on stability characteristics for such type of vehicles.
