    W artykule zaproponowano i zaprezentowano koncepcję sześciu znaczeń miejskiej przestrzeni publicznej: użytkowego, interakcyjnego, obywatelskiego i politycznego, aksjologicznego, symbolicznego oraz tożsamościowego. Zostały one wyróżnione w oparciu o dane uzyskane w trakcie kilku autorskich i współautorskich projektów badawczych dotyczących społecznego funkcjonowania i doświadczania przestrzeni publicznych prowadzonych w różnych miastach Polski w latach 2010–2017. Podstawę teoretyczną artykułu stanowią założenia kulturalistycznego i socjoprzestrzennego nurtu w socjologii miasta podkreślające relacyjność człowieka i społeczności w stosunku do użytkowanej przez nich przestrzeni.
    The article presents the idea of the six roles of urban public space. These roles are: utility, interactive, civic and political, axiological, symbolic and identical. Their identification is based on data obtained from several research projects conducted by the author and co-authors, which concerned the social functioning and experiencing of public spaces by the inhabitants in various Polish cities in the years 2010–2017. The theoretical basis of the article was formed on the assumptions of culturalism and the socio-spatial approach to urban sociology, which emphasize the relationship of individuals and their community with respect to the spaces they utilize, individually and collectively

    Celem artykułu jest ustalenie wpływu determinant geoprzestrzennych1 na zachowania nabywców nieruchomości mieszkaniowych w przestrzeniach zurbanizowanych. Zachowanie konsumentów na rynku nieruchomości mieszkaniowych zależy w dużej mierze nie tylko od czynników wewnętrznych (nieprzestrzennych) charakteryzujących nieruchomości przede wszystkim od strony funkcjonalno-technicznej, ale również od czynników zewnętrznych (geoprzestrzennych) opisujących główny atut każdej nieruchomości mieszkaniowej, czyli jej lokalizację w strukturze przestrzeni zurbanizowanej. W celu zrealizowania założeń artykułu przeprowadzono badania geostatystyczne na podstawie danych z rynku nieruchomości lokalowych miasta Bytom.
    The article’s goal is to determine an impact of geospatial factors on a behavior of residential properties purchasers in urban spaces. The behavior of real estates market consumers doesn’t depend mostly only on internal non-spatial factors which characterize functional-technical real estates features. Most of all it depends on the external geospatial factors which describe the major asset of any real estate – its location in the spatial urban structure. The geostatistical analysis of Bytom city residential property was carried out to reach the article’s goal. The methods used in the article consisted of testing spatial autocorrelation (Global Moran I, General G Getis, Local G Getis) spatial interpolation, namely: Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) interpolation, Radial Basis Functions (RBF) and Ordinary Kriging. The authors tested the impact of many geospatial factors such as the proximity to roads, green areas, the density of the poverty, location of banks and many more on the transaction prices of residential properties. The tools used for that were the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR). The finally constructed model consisted of such factors as the density of violence, the unemployment density, the alcoholism density, the market square proximity and the location of dead bodies.

    The presented algorithms employ the Vector Space Model (VSM) and its enhancements such as TFIDF (Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency) with Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). TFIDF were applied to emphasize the important features of documents and SVD was used to reduce the analysis space. Consequently, a series of experiments were conducted. They revealed important properties of the algorithms and their accuracy. The accuracy of the algorithms was estimated in terms of their ability to match the human classification of the subject. For unsupervised algorithms the entropy was used as a quality evaluation measure. The combination of VSM, TFIDF, and SVD came out to be the best performing unsupervised algorithm with entropy of 0.16.

    Artykuł stanowi kontynuację rozważań podjętych nad zagadnieniem aksjologii przestrzeni w ujęciu architektoniczno-krajobrazowym. Założono, że odpowiedzenie na wartości występujące w przestrzeni i urzeczywistnienie w pracy twórczej wartości (szczególnie krajobrazowych) podnosi jakość przedsięwzięcia i sprzyja materializacji nowych wartości w przestrzeni. Podjęto próbę usystematyzowania pojęć związanych z aspektami aksjologicznymi, skupionymi wokół krajobrazu, który podobnie jak architektura, jest elementem definiującym przestrzeń.
    This article is a continuation of the author’s reflections upon the problem of space axiology viewed from the perspective of architecture and landscape. It has been assumed that responding to values present in spaces and realisation of values in artistic work (particularly landscape values) improves the quality of a given undertaking and promotes materialisation of new values in a space. An effort has been made to systematise the concepts related to axiological aspects of landscape, which – similarly to architecture – is a space-defining element.

    The article presents the axiological aspects of mobility management. On selected examples of space design, illustrated with pictures from Polish cities, it shows how choices in the area of organization of transport and space are connected with values, even if the authorities are unaware of the ethical aspects of their choices. The examples analyzed in the article were selected to demonstrate how values can differ in different space designs. At the same time they highlight the importance of ethical issues raised by planning mobility in cities. They aim of the article is providing the reader with pictures and accurate descriptions of model situations, in order to introduce these issues to a broader public and show the ethical dimension of city planning to readers not familiar with these issues.

    We use Green's function of a suitable boundary value problem to convert the variational problem with quadratic functional and linear constraints to the equivalent unconstrained extremal problem in some subspace of the space L2 of quadratically summable functions. We get the neccessary and sufficient criterion for unique solvability of the variational problem in terms of the spectrum of some integral Hilbert-Schmidt operator in L2 with symmetric kernel. The numerical technique is proposed to estimate this criterion. The results are demonstrated on examples: 1) a variational problem with deviating argument, and 2) the problem of the critical force for the vertical pillar with additional support point (the qualities of the pillar may vary discontinuously along the pillar's axis).

    This paper presents a completely mathematical equations based model on control of torque and speed of a three-phase indirect vector controlled VSI fed cage induction motor drive that is controlled through the space vector modulated method. This enables a wide range of acceptability of the model for various values of load and for various types and ratings of induction motors. The uniqueness of the model lies in the fact that the deviations in the torque and speed on sudden application of reference step change in speed values are minimum i.e. when any sudden change in the speed reference is desired, the speed and torque waveforms reveal that the time taken in coming back to their final steady state values is very less and the motor overcomes the perturbation with negligible transients. The same is verified through the simulated results.

    Artykuł przedstawia rolę, jaką analiza strategiczna pełni w ocenie działalności przedsiębiorstwa turystycznego. Dla realizacji tego celu przedstawiono specyfikę działalności przedsiębiorstwa turystycznego, opisując różne jego rodzaje oraz prezentując determinanty organizacyjne, prawne rozwoju tych przedsiębiorstw, a także bazę techniczno-materiałową stanowiącą podstawę prowadzonej działalności. W dalszej kolejności omówiono funkcje analizy strategicznej w przedsiębiorstwie turystycznym. Scharakteryzowano wybrane metody analizy strategicznej, przedstawiając ich zastosowanie w ocenie działalności różnych przedsiębiorstw turystycznych.
    The article presents the role that the strategic analysis plays in the assessment of a tourist enterprise's operations. In order to achieve this objective the peculiarity of a tourist enterprise's operations is presented, including a description of its different types and a presentation of organisational, legal determinants of these enterprises' development, as well as the technical and material base which forms the basis for the operations being run. Further, the article covers the functions of the strategic analysis in a tourist enterprise. Selected methods of the strategic analysis are characterised by presenting their application in the assessment of different tourist enterprises' operations.

    We consider ordinary differential equations \(u'(t)+(I-T)u(t)=0\), where an unknown function takes its values in a given modular function space being a generalization of Musielak-Orlicz spaces, and \(T\) is nonlinear mapping which is nonexpansive in the modular sense. We demonstrate that under certain natural assumptions the Cauchy problem related to this equation can be solved. We also show a process for the construction of such a solution. This result is then linked to the recent results of the fixed point theory in modular function spaces.

    With this optimization, the cargo will increase and the ship's revenue will also be more. The LCU ship that we know so far is a ship whose cargo is always above the main and the space under the main is unused Void Space. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimization value of the use of space under the main deck of the Landing Craft Utility (LCU) ships. method used in this study is a comparison with several previous ship approaches to produce evaluation results from the addition of loading space under the main deck and calculation of stability using computational software approximation. LCU design of under main deck space with a maximum vehicle value can accept a vertical moment of 2750 mm. With a structural strength of 13150 tons. A series of numerical experiments show that the proposed method can effectively produce a satisfactory LCU ship design optimization plan for ship owners.

    Celem prezentowanego opracowania jest próba oszacowania wartości wybranych udogodnień z punktu widzenia ważniejszych podmiotów sfery realnej gospodarki po obu stronach granicy administracyjnej Krakowa, czyli wzdłuż północnej granicy administracyjnej miasta (dwie dzielnice: Prądnik Czerwony i Prądnik Biały) oraz obszar bezpośrednio po drugiej stronie granicy Krakowa, który należy do Gminy Zielonki. Celem badania jest wnioskowanie o udogodnieniach w obszarach przestrzennie bliskich, sąsiadujących, należących do obszaru metropolitalnego, ale przedzielonych granicą administracyjną miasta centralnego. Udogodnienia dotyczą infrastruktury, przestrzeni i usług publicznych oraz reprezentują zarówno elementy fizyczne, jak i pożądane zjawiska.
    The aim of the paper is to estimate the value of selected amenities of infrastructure, space and public services on both sides of the border of Cracow City, Poland. The assessment of the amenities’ value is conducted from the perspective of residents and businesses. Residents of both regions express needs for amenities and suburban residents generally estimate their value higher. Companies from both areas are not interested in improvements of amenities. Meanwhile, the administrative border of the city does not differentiate significantly companies (size, employment, wages) and polarizes households in terms of a socio-economic profile.

    Opis:
    We consider a pair of domains Ωb and Ωs in Rn and we assume that the closure of Ωb does not intersect the closure of ε Ωs for ε ∈ (0, ε 0). Then for a fixed ε ∈ (0, ε0)we consider a boundary value problem in Rn\ (Ωb ∪ εΩs) which describes the steady state Stokes flow of an incompressible viscous fluid past a body occupying the domain Ωb and past a small impurity occupying the ε Ωs. The unknown of the problem are the velocity field u and the pressure field p, and we impose the value of the velocity field u on the boundary both of the body and of the impurity. We assume that the boundary velocity on the impurity displays an arbitrarily strong singularity when ε tends to 0. The goal is to understand the behaviour of the strain energy of (u, p) for ε small and positive. The methods developed aim at representing the limiting behaviour in terms of analytic maps and possibly singular but completely known functions of ε, such as ε-1, log &epsilon.

    In this paper, we consider a one dimensional problem on a fractional order generalized thermoelasticity in half space subjected to an instantaneous heat source. The Laplace transform as well as eigen value approach techniques are applied to solve the governing equations of motion and heat conduction. Closed form solutions for displacement, temperature and stress are obtained and presented graphically.

    Do opisu procesu produkcyjnego zastosowano model oparty na wektorowej przestrzeni waluty, unormowanej klasą norm Minkowskiego. W wyniku unormowania tej przestrzeni równoważnymi normami otrzymano przestrzenie: ekonomiczną, ryzyka, wykonawcze i decyzyjną z metrykami zadanymi przez te normy należącymi do klasy metryk Minkowskiego. Każda z tych przestrzeni umożliwia analizę i ocenę zjawiska gospodarczego: - przestrzeń ekonomiczna, w oparciu o własne założenia i dane rynkowe, umożliwia określenie planowanych wartości i wyznaczenie efektu ekonomicznego (mierzonego w pieniądzu), - przestrzeń ryzyka, w oparciu o dane z przestrzeni ekonomicznej i dane rynkowe, przy wykorzystaniu analogii do przestrzeni fizycznej uwzględnia ryzyko i umożliwia wyznaczenie wielkości jakościowych w obiektach ryzyka, - przestrzenie wykonawcze, w oparciu o dane z przestrzeni ryzyka i dane rynkowe, umożliwiają wybór najkorzystniejszych wariantów, - przestrzeń decyzyjna, w oparciu o dane z przestrzeni wykonawczych, umożliwia podjęcie decyzji o wyborze najkorzystniejszego wariantu.
    To describe the production process, a model based on a vector currency space, standardized with the class of Minkowski norms, was used. As a result of normalizing this space with equivalent norms, the following spaces were obtained: economic, risk, executive and decision space with the metrics induced by these norms belonging to the class of Minkowski’s metric. Each of these spaces enables to analyze and evaluate the economic phenomenon: - the economic space allows the determination of planned values and the specifying of the economic effect (measured in money) based on self-assumptions and market data, - the risk space using the analogy to physical space and taking into account the risk based on data from the economic space and market data enables the determination of qualitative values in risk objects, - the executive space based on data from the risk space and market data, enable a selection of the most favorable options, - the decision space enables a decision of a choice of the most advantageous variant based on the data from the executive space.

    Opis:
    Text retrieval using Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) with truncated Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) has been intensively studied in recent years. However, the expensive complexity involved in computing truncated SVD constitutes a major drawback of the LSI method. In this paper, we demonstrate how matrix rank approximation can influence the effectiveness of information retrieval systems. Besides, we present an implementation of the LSI method based on an eigenvalue analysis for rank approximation without computing truncated SVD, along with its computational details. Significant improvements in computational time while maintaining retrieval accuracy are observed over the tested document collections.

    Opis:
    With the tools of modern metrology we can measure almost all variables in the phenomenon field of a working machine, and many of the measured quantities can be symptoms of machine conditions. On this basis, we can form a symptom observation matrix (SOM) intended for condition monitoring and wear trend (fault) identification. On the other hand, we know that contemporary complex machines may have many modes of failure, called faults. The paper presents a method of the extraction of the information about faults from the symptom observation matrix by means of singular value decomposition (SVD), in the form of generalized fault symptoms. As the readings of the symptoms can be unstable, the moving average of the SOM is applied with success. An attempt to assess the diagnostic contribution of a primary symptom is made, and also an approach to assess the symptom limit value and to connect the SVD methodology with neural nets is considered. Finally, a condition forecasting problem is discussed and an application of grey system theory (GST) to symptom prognosis is presented. These possibilities are illustrated by processing data taken directly from the machine vibration condition monitoring area.

    Opis:
    The paper presents a model for an elastic foundation consisting of a finite number of homogeneous and isotropic layers. The simplified continuous elastic media with internal constraints introduced by R. Świtka [1] has been adopted for discussion, in which it is assumed that the horizontal components of a displacement vector equal zero. The purpose of the paper is a solution determining the displacement of the foundation surface, caused by a uniform load within a circular area. By means of the Hankel integral transformation and the notion of the layer transfer matrix in the transform domain, a solution to vertical displacements of the foundation surface has been obtained. The method for computing the infinite integral specifying numerical values of displacements of the foundation surface has been presented. The solution concerning the interaction of a uniform load within a circular area presented in the paper can be used for an approximate solution (by computer methods) to the task of the contact between a beam or a raft and the surface of an elastic layer foundation.
    W pracy przedstawiono model podłoża sprężystego składającego się ze skończonej liczby warstw jednorodnych i izotropowych. Przyjęto do rozważań uproszczony ośrodek sprężysty z więzami wewnętrznymi wprowadzony przez R. Świtkę [1], w którym zakłada się, że składowe poziome przemieszczeń są równe zero. Celem pracy jest podanie rozwiązania określającego przemieszczenia powierzchni podłoża, spowodowane obciążeniem równomiernie rozłożonym działającym w obszarze koła. Wykorzystując transformacje całkową Hankela oraz pojęcie macierzy przeniesienia warstwy w dziedzinie transformat, otrzymano rozwiązanie dotyczące przemieszczeń pionowych powierzchni podłoża. Podano sposób obliczania całki niewłaściwej określajacej wartości liczbowe przemieszczeń powierzchni podłoża. Podane w pracy rozwiazanie dotyczacego działania obciażenia równomiernie rozłożonego w obszarze koła może mieć zastosowanie do przybliżonego rozwiązania (metodami komputerowymi) zadania o kontakcie belki lub płyty z powierzchnią warstwowego podłoża sprężystego.

    Since the huge database of patent documents is continuously increasing, the issue of classifying, updating and retrieving patent documents turned into an acute necessity. Therefore, we investigate the efficiency of applying Latent Semantic Indexing, an automatic indexing method of information retrieval, to some classes of patent documents from the United States Patent Classification System. We present some experiments that provide the optimal number of dimensions for the Latent Semantic Space and we compare the performance of Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) to the Vector Space Model (VSM) technique applied to real life text documents, namely, patent documents. However, we do not strongly recommend the LSI as an improved alternative method to the VSM, since the results are not significantly better.

    Jednym z ważniejszych elementów składowych systemu turystyki są atrakcje turystyczne. To właśnie atrakcje stanowią siłę napędową ruchu turystycznego będąc magnesem przyciągającym turystę do celu podróży i stanowią sedno produktu turystycznego. Pozwalają identyfikować regiony, miejscowości, określają ich tożsamość i kształtują wizerunek. W niniejszym opracowaniu wskazano na rolę atrakcji turystycznych w kreowaniu programu rozwoju i promocji produktów turystycznych regionu. W tym celu wskazano na ujęcie teoretyczne atrakcji turystycznych, dokonano przeglądu i oceny atrakcji turystycznych gminy Czernichów leżącej w woj. śląskim. Wskazano na atuty i możliwości kreowania nowych produktów turystycznych.
    One of the major components of the tourism system are tourist attractions. The attractions are the driving force of tourism, being a magnet for tourists to the destination, and the core of the tourist product. They enable to identify regions, localities, define their identity and shape the image. In this study there is indicated the role of tourist attractions in the creation of the development and promotion of tourism products in the region. For this purpose, there is presented theoretical approach of attractions and reviewed and evaluated the tourist municipalities lying in Czernichów in Silesia region. There are pointed out the advantages and possibilities of creating new tourism products.

    W artykule zarysowano ideę, której rozwinięcie mogłoby - zdaniem autora - posłużyć jako „filozoficzne wzmocnienie” interdyscyplinarnych nurtów współczesnej teorii urbanistyki. Zakładając, że refleksja na temat kulturowych aspektów ładu urbanistycznego - na tle filozofii miejskich wartości - pomoże w konceptualizacji polityk reagujących skuteczniej na dzisiejszy kryzys w środowisku miejskim, autor podejmuje próbę wyartykułowania pytań, które uznaje za ważne w dialogu między urbanistami i filozofami. Uwagę skupia na problematyce filozoficznego podłoża nowej, kulturalnej konstrukcji urbanistycznej miasta pierwszej połowy XXI wieku. Ideę tego kulturowego projektu nazwano Miastem Wartości 21 (MW-21).
    The article outlines an idea that, according to the author, could serve as a ‘philosophical reinforcement’ of interdisciplinary trends in contemporary urbanistic theory. Assuming that the reflection on the philosophical aspects of the urbanistic order will help in the conceptualization of policies that respond more effectively to today’s crisis in the urban environment, the author attempts to articulate questions that could facilitate a dialogue between urban planners and philosophers. He focuses his attention on the issues of the philosophical basis of the new urban structure of the city in the first half of the 21st century. The idea behind this cultural project was called the City of Values 21 (CV-21).

    W pracy przedstawiono zastosowanie rozkładu wartości osobliwych (SVD) macierzy wydłużeń do analizy jakościowej kratownic oraz konstrukcji tensegrity. Rozkład taki pozwala na określenie mechanizmów infinitezymalnych oraz stanów samorównoważnych sił podłużnych konstrukcji. Znajomość takich stanów pozwala z kolei określić, czy rozważana kratownica znajduje się w konfiguracji tensegrity. Rozważania teoretyczne zilustrowano na przykładach.
    The present paper is dedicated to the application of singular value decomposition (SVD) of extension matrix to the qualitative analysis of truss and tensegrity structures. The decomposition allow to define infinitesimal mechanisms as well as self-stress states of the truss. It can help to recognize if the truss is in tensegrity configuration. Theoretical considerations are illustrated on several examples.

    The following article deals with the phenomenon of urban gardening with a specific focus on Germany. Part I defines and categorizes the main forms of non-economically motivated gardening in urban public space, works out its core attributes and shows its historical background. Part II indicates how culture of a given historical period affects green areas’ shape. It also clarifies how urban gardening and present political, social and ecological discourses are correlated. The summary enumerates the main findings and gives an outlook on possible developments of urban gardening.
    Poniższy artykuł dotyczy zjawiska urban gardening (ogrodnictwa miejskiego) ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Niemiec. W części I zdefiniowano i poddano kategoryzacji główne formy motywowanego pozaekonomicznie kształtowania terenów zielonych w przestrzeni publicznej, omówiono jego główne cechy, a także ukazano jego tło historyczne. W części II przeanalizowano ważny wpływ kultury danego czasu na zjawisko kształtowania terenów zielonych. Jednocześnie wyjaśniono powiązania urban gardening z aktualną debatą polityczną, społeczną i ekologiczną. W zakończeniu omówiono główne wnioski oraz scharakteryzowano tendencje rozwojowe urban gardening.

Dlatego należy wykorzystać wszelkie możliwości i potencjał przyrody jako nieograniczonej przestrzeni wychowawczej.
    Currently, in the creative re-education of children and young people, their direct contact with nature should be used to a greater extent. The exploration of the natural environment will enable them to function more correctly than ever before in universally and normatively accepted life, social and professional roles, and will contribute to their harmonious and comprehensive development. Therefore, all possibilities and the potential of nature should be used as an unlimited educational space.

    Opis:
    1. Współczesne, młode pokolenie staje się przedmiotem przeobrażeń społecznych i kulturowych. Staje ono przed koniecznością wyboru określonych wartości i ukształtowania własnej tożsamości Młody człowiek musi zmierzyć się z ideową pustką i kryzysem kulturowym naszych czasów, trudnością z ustaleniem sensu zachodzących zjawisk i własnej egzystencji. Wychowanie podporządkowano ideologii neutralności światopoglądowej, która sprowadza się do propagowania sceptycyzmu i relatywizmu poznawczego i moralnego. Zrezygnowano natomiast ze świadomego określania celów wychowania i poczucia odpowiedzialności za jego wyniki. Wspólnym mianownikiem niekorzystnych przemian społecznych jest „kryzys prawdy”, objawiający się on jako kryzys takich m.in. pojęć jak: miłość, wolność, bezinteresowny dar, osoba. Skutkuje to odrzuceniem rygorów logiki, a nawet zdrowego rozsądku w formułowaniu teorii, sądów i opinii również w sferze życia małżeńsko-rodzinnego, deprecjonując tradycyjne formy małżeństwa, rodziny i zacierając właściwy sens tych pojęć i eliminując ze świadomości społecznej nadprzyrodzony wymiar tych odwiecznych wspólnot – jako miejsca świętego, Kościoła domowego. 2. Młodzież potrzebuje wzoru życia. Nauczanie papieskie pomoże młodym ludziom wyjaśnić istotę pojęcia „miłość”, ukazać drogę rozwoju miłości i jej odmian. Papież Jan Paweł II analizował zagadnienie miłości na przykładzie Pieśni nad pieśniami. Jego katechezy, oparte na Biblii i liturgii, ukazały głębię oraz piękno relacji mężczyzny i kobiety, męża i żony. Należy na nowo odkrywać i powracać do najważniejszych myśli Jana Pawła II, który nauczał, przypominał o godności i świętości małżeństwa oraz rodziny. Przekazywać wartości, normy i wzory zachowań społecznych, moralnych i religijnych, nauczając o miłości, o odpowiedzialnym rodzicielstwie, o świętości życia i o godności człowieka. Aby młodzi ludzie mieli świadomość nadprzyrodzonego wymiaru swego życia, że to, co robią, ma swój głębszy sens i skutek duchowy. 3. Przykładowy wybór zasadniczych twierdzeń teologicznych na temat miłości, godności człowieka, małżeństwa i rodziny może zaowocować zrozumieniem i właściwym przeżyciem rzeczywistości miłości, sakramentu małżeństwa oraz procesu tworzenia chrześcijańskiej rodziny. Sięganie do Biblii, do nauki Kościoła, zwłaszcza nauczania Jana Pawła II, właściwie ukierunkuje i uwrażliwi młodych ludzi na dawanie świadectwa życia chrześcijańskiego. 4. Nauka Jana Pawła II o godności człowieka, małżeństwa i rodziny, powinna uzdalniać człowieka do takiego życia, by ćwicząc się w wierze, nadziei i miłości, umieścił on Boga w centrum swego życia.
    1. The contemporary younger generation becomes a subject of social and cultural transformations. It comes across the necessity of choosing particular values and shaping their own identity. A young man must meet with ideological emptiness and cultural crisis of these days, with the difficulty of establishing a sense of the current phenomena and one’s own existence. A persons’ upbringing has been subordinated to the ideology promoting the neutrality of views, which means bringing forward cognitive and moral scepticism and relativism. At the same time, conscious defining goals of education and the sense of responsibility for its results has been given up. The common denominator of these adverse social changes is the/a "crisis of truth", which is manifested as a/the crisis of the categories like, e.g.: love, freedom, free gift, a person. It results in rejecting the requirements of logic and even of common sense in formulating any theory or judgements and opinions also with regard to the marital-family life, in depreciating traditional form of marriage and family, blurring the proper meaning of these categories and eliminating from the social awareness the supernatural dimension of the everlasting communities - as the holy place, the home Church. 2. Young people need the/a pattern of life. The Pope's teaching will help the young people to understand the meaning of the concept of "love", to show the path of maturing of love and its variations. Pope John Paul II examined the question of love on the example of the Song of Songs. His monumental catechesis, based on the Bible and liturgy, reveal the depth and beauty of the relationship between man and woman, husband and wife. It is necessary to return to and rediscover the main thought of John Paul II, who kept teaching and reminding of the dignity and holiness of marriage and family. How to transmit values, norms and patterns of social, moral and religious, teaching about love, responsible parenthood, holiness of life and human dignity. So young people were aware of supernatural dimension of their life and that what they do has a deeper meaning and spiritual effect. 3. A sample selection of basic theological statements about love, human dignity, marriage and family may lead to understanding and proper experience of the reality of love, marriage and the process of building the Christian family. Drawing from the Bible, the Church's teaching, especially the teaching of John Paul II, may properly direct and sensitize young people to bear witness to the Christian life. 4. John Paul II's teaching on human dignity, marriage and the family, should enable a person to live in such a way that by excercising faith, hope and love one will place God at the center of one’s life.

    Der Artikel bildet einen Versuch, über den epistemischen Wert der sinnlichen Erfahrung nachzudenken. Indem ich als Beispiel den Begriffsinhalt der Wahrnehmung bei John McDowell nehme, versuche ich nachzuweisen, dass die von Wilfrid Sellars ausgeübte Kritik des Empirismus nicht vollständig den Sinn der Idee einer fundamentalistischen Epistemologie verneint. Ich glaube damit, dass es möglich ist, den Wert der Wahrnehmung in der Rechtfertigung des Wissens nach der Umformulierung des Entwurfs der sinnlichen Erfahrung zu rehabilitieren. Wenn wir nämlich die Idee des Begriffsinhalts der Wahrnehmung und ihre Folgen in Gestalt von potentieller Propositionalität des Erfahrungsinhalts annehmen, gelingt es uns aufzuzeigen, dass die Wahrnehmung ein rationales (und nicht ausschliesslich kausales) Verhältnis mit den Überzeugungen des Subjekts eingehen kann. Dies rechtfertigt hingegen die Ideen der fundamentalistischen Epistemologie von einer äusseren und epistemisch wertvollen Grundlage des Wissens.
    The author reflects on the epistemic value of perceptual experience. Quoting John McDowell’s conceptual content of perception as an example, he argues that Wilfrid Sellars’ criticism of empiricism is not tantamount to negating the meaningfulness of the epistemological foundationalist idea entirely. He concludes that rehabilitating the value of perception in justification of knowledge is therefore possible after reformulating the notion of perceptual experience. For by accepting the idea of conceptual content of perception and its consequence in the shape of a potential propositional content of experience it could be proved that perception can be engaged in a rational (and not only causal) relationship with a subject’s beliefs. And that justifies the epistemological foundationalist idea that knowledge has indeed an external and epistemically valuable footing.
    Artykuł jest próbą refleksji nad epistemiczną wartością doświadczenia zmysłowego. Biorąc za przykład pojęciową treść percepcji Johna McDowella, staram się wykazać, że krytyka empiryzmu dokonana przez Wilfrida Sellarsa nie neguje całkowicie sensowności idei fundacjonalistycznej epistemologii. Uważam tym samym, że możliwe jest zrehabilitowanie wartości percepcji w uzasadnieniu wiedzy po przeformułowaniu koncepcji doświadczenia zmysłowego. Jeżeli bowiem przyjmiemy ideę pojęciowej treści percepcji oraz jej konsekwencję w postaci potencjalnej propozycjonalności treści doświadczenia, uda się nam wykazać, że percepcja może wchodzić w racjonalny (a nie wyłącznie przyczynowy) stosunek z przekonaniami żywionymi przez podmiot. To zaś uzasadnia idee fundacjonalistycznej epistemologii zgodnie z którymi, wiedza posiada zewnętrzne oraz epistemicznie wartościowe ugruntowanie.
