    Opis:
    A series of aryl imines have been synthesized by Fly-ash: PTS catalyzed microwave assisted oxidative coupling of amines and aldehydes under solvent-free conditions. The yield of the imines has been found to be more than 90 %. The purity of all imines has been checked using their physical constants and spectral data as published earlier in literature. The UV ?maxC=N(nm), infrared ?C=N(cm-1), NMR ?(ppm) of CH=N and C=N spectral data have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants and F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analysis, the effect of substituents on the above spectral data has been studied. The antimicrobial activities of all imines have been studied using Bauer-Kirby method.

    Some 2’-hydroxyphenylchalcones have been synthesized under microwave irradiation by Claisen-Schmidt condensation between substituted 2-hydroxyacetophenone and substituted benzaldehydes using catalytic amount of SiO2-H3PO4. These chalcones were established by their physical constants and spectroscopic data published earlier. The UV, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral data of these chalcone have correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters. All the compounds have been subjected to screened for antimicrobial activity.

    Some aryl pyrazolines including 3-(substituted phenyl)-5-(naphthalen-1-yl)-1-phenyl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazoles were prepared by microwave irradiation promoted cyclization of aryl enones and phenylhydrazine in the presence of solid acidic bentonite/FeCl3 catalyst under solvent-free conditions. In this cyclization the obtained yields are more than 75%. The structural analysis of these pyrazoline derivatives were confirmed through analytical and spectral techniques. The effect of catalyst and solvent on this cyclization also investigated through the obtained yields. The antimicrobial activities of these pyrazoline derivatives were assessed through measurement of mm of zone of inhibition against their micro stains using well known Bauer-Kirby disc diffusion method.

    Ten 1-(3-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)-2-(substituted benzylidene) hydrazines have been synthesized by FeCl3/Bentonite catalyzed solvent-free condensation of substituted phenyl hydrazine and aldehydes under microwave irradiation. The synthesized hydrazides are characterized by the physical constants, micro analysis and spectroscopic data. The assigned characteristic spectroscopic data of these 1-(3-chloro-4-nitrophenyl)-2-(substituted benzylidene) hydrazines were correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using Hammett equation through single and multi-regression analysis. With the results of statistical analysis results, the quantitative structure activity relationships were studied and finding the effect of substituents on the spectral data.

    Opis:
    Sulfanilic acid represents an important substance, which is frequently utilized in the industry of azo dyes as well as in drug development of antimicrobials (e.g. of sulfonamides). Students can also meet with such type of compounds in chemistry labs, for example, when they estimate pH by methyl orange indicator or prepare Orange II for textile colouring. Both of these dyes are products of azo coupling of sulfanilic acid as diazonium salt with N,N-dimethylaniline or 2-naphthol, respectively. In the article, we focus on the synthesis of sulfanilic acid as a well-known experiment in the organic chemistry education. The synthesis was modified as the solvent free and microwave assisted experiment under semimicroscale conditions. That experiment is very convenient for the organic chemistry courses in the university or the high school teaching.
    Kwas sulfanilowy stanowi ważną substancję, często stosowaną w przemyśle barwników azowych, jak również w produkcji leków przeciwdrobnoustrojowych (np. sulfonamidów). Studenci mogą również spotykać się z takimi związkami w laboratoriach chemicznych, na przykład przy oznaczaniu pH z wykorzystaniem oranżu metylowego lub przy przygotowywaniu Oranżu II dla przemysłu tekstylnego. Oba te barwniki są produktami sprzężenia soli diazoniowych kwasu sulfanilowego odpowiednio z N,N-dimetyloaniliną lub 2-naftolem. W artykule przedstawiono syntezę kwasu sulfanilowego jako przykład dobrze znanego eksperymentu w edukacji chemii organicznej. Syntezę zmodyfikowano jako reakcję bez rozpuszczalników i wspomagano mikrofalowo w warunkach półmikropreparacji. Eksperyment ten powinien być przedstawiany podczas kursów chemii organicznej na uniwersytecie lub w szkole średniej.

    A series containing ten titled compounds were synthesized by SiO2:H3PO4 catalyzed solvent-free condensation of substituted benzaldehydes and 2-amino-5-ethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole under microwave irradiation. The yields of prepared amines are more than 90 %. The synthesized amines were characterized by their physical constants and spectroscopic data reported in literature earlier for known compounds. The assigned spectral group frequencies such as infrared νC=N, C-S-C, N-N (cm-1) and NMR chemical shifts (δ, ppm) of CH, C=N have been correlated with Hammett substituent constants, F and R parameters using single and multi-linear regression analysis. From the results of statistical analyses, the effects of substituent on the above spectral data have been discussed.

    Series of eleven substituted of (E)-3-(3-methylthiophen-2-yl)-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-ones compounds by cross-aldol condensation reaction of 3-methylthiophene-2-carbaldehyde with various substituted acetaldehyde in the occurrence of Fly-Ash: H3PO4 catalyst.     More than 85% yields of thirteen 4-(4-chloro-1-naphthyl)-5,6-dihydro-6-(substituted phenyl)-4H-1,3-oxazine-2-amines weer synthesised by SiO2-H3PO4 catalyzed solvent-free cyclization of substituted styryl4-chloro-1-naphthyl ketones and urea under microwave irradiation. The synthesized oxazine amines have been characterized by analytical and spectroscopic techniques. The antimicrobial activities of these 4-(4-chloro-1-naphthyl)-5,6-dihydro-6-(substituted phenyl)-4H-1,3-oxazine-2-amines have been appraised by means of Bauer-Kirby technique. The insect antifeedant activities of these oxazine-2-amines were assessed by Dethler’s technique using 4th instar larvae Achoea janata L.

    1,5-benzodiazepines have been synthesized by Nano Zirconia and Nano Sulfated Zirconia in solvent free conditions. Synthesis was carried out by conventional as well as microwave method. Benzodiazepines were synthesized by reacting o-phenylenediamine and few ketones in the presence of catalytic amount of Nanoparticles. Particles used were sized in between 53-100 nm. Nanoparticles were characterized by FT-IR, DLS and powder XRD analysis.
