    One should do his best to provide sufficient psycho-pedagogical aid to students in need. It would be perfect if school authorities were not mainly interested in designing and executing documents, graphs and reports imposed on them by governments, but could concentrate more on practical issues of school operation, such as lesson conduct, selecting appropriate methods of teaching and employing experts. It is vital to focus more on the nature of sociotherapy, which by law ( MEN Regulation 30th April 2013 concerning granting and organizing psychological and pedagogical aid in public pre and regular schools and educational institutions) has become an integral part of schooling.

    W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badania skuteczności programu profilaktyczno-terapeutycznego realizowanego w ośrodku socjoterapeutycznym. Celem opracowania było ukazanie dynamiki zmian zachowań emocjonalnych dzieci i młodzieży uczestniczącej w programie wsparcia i pomocy psychologicznej. W hipotezie badawczej przyjęto, że propozycje programowe w postaci zajęć wsparcia i pomocy psychologicznej są trafne i skuteczne. W części teoretycznej artykułu przedstawiono problematykę profilaktyki, realizowanej w formie programów specjalistycznych. W części metodologicznej opisano grupę badawczą, metody i procedurę badań. W celu opisania dynamiki zmian emocjonalnych u nastolatków zastosowano metody testowe, mierzące zachowania agresywne, lękowe, depresyjne oraz cechy osobowości. Wykorzystano do tego: skalę R.B. Cattella High School Personality Questionnaire (HSPQ) w przekładzie J. Kostrzewskiego, skalę A.H. Bussa i A. Durkee Nastroje i Humory w adaptacji M. Choynowskiego, Inwentarz Stanu i Cechy Lęku (STAI) w polskiej adaptacji K. Wrześniewskiego i T. Sosnowskiego, skalę M. Kovacsa Children’s Depression Inventory (CDI) w przekładzie M. Oleś. Uzyskane wyniki opracowano statystycznie według złożonego planu eksperymentalnego z powtarzalnym pomiarem, z uwzględnieniem analizy efektu głównego i interakcyjnego. Obliczeń dokonano za pomocą modelu analizy wariancji z wykorzystaniem pakietu statystycznego STATYSTICA. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają przyjętą hipotezę. Należy zatem uznać pozytywny wpływ programu wsparcia i pomocy psychologicznej na dynamikę zmian emocjonalnych u dzieci i młodzieży uczestniczących w analizowanym programie. Ponadto wyniki wskazują na złożoność czynników warunkujących proces zmian psychologicznych u nastolatków. Zachowania adolescentów uczestniczących i nieuczestniczących w programie wsparcia i pomocy psychologicznej wykazały duże zróżnicowanie warunkowane wewnętrznym wpływem zmiennych względem siebie. W wyniku poczynionych analiz pojawiły się nowe pytania, na które odpowiedź należy wiązać z koniecznością podjęcia kolejnych, bardziej szczegółowych badań.
    The article presents the results of the research on the effectiveness of the preventive and therapeutic program carried out in a sociotherapeutic centre. The aim of the study was to show the dynamics of emotional behaviour of children and young people involved in the support program and psychological assistance. In the adopted hypothesis it has been assumed, that the program proposals in the form of teaching and psychological support are relevant and effective. In the theoretical part of the article the issues of prevention, implemented in the form of specialised programs have been presented. In the methodological part the research group, methods and test procedures have been described. In order to describe the dynamics of adolescent emotional changes, the test methods have been used to measure aggressive behaviour, anxiety, depression and personality characteristics. For this purpose the scale of R.B. Cattell High School Personality Questionnaire (HSPQ) translated by J. Kostrzewski, scale of A.H. Buss, A. Durkee Moods and whims in the adaptation of M. Chojnowski, Inventory of State and Trait Anxiety (STAI) in the Polish adaptation of K. Wrześniewski and T. Sosnowski, scale of M. Kovacs Children’s Depression Inventory (CDI), in translation of M. Oleś have been used. The results were analysed statistically according to a complex experimental plan of repeatable measurements, including analysis of the main and interactive effects. The calculations were made using the model of the analysis of variance using the statistical package STATYSTICA. These results confirm the accepted hypothesis. It is therefore necessary to adopt the positive impact of the support program and psychological help on the dynamics of emotional changes in children and adolescents participating in the analysed program. Moreover, the results indicate the complexity of the factors, which condition the process of psychological changes in adolescents. Behaviour of adolescents participating and not participating in the support program and psychological help shown a large variations conditioned by internal influence of variables towards each other. As a result of the carried out analysis new questions have emerged, to which the answer must involve the need to carry out further, more detailed research.

    The paper touches upon the issue of sociotherapy in working with socially maladjusted people, with a particular focus on the possibilities of using sociotherapy with convicts serving their penalty in prison isolation. Starting with the definition of sociotherapy, we recall its origins – working with adults and proposed new concept of its usage.

    Socjoterapia jest często oferowana w Polsce jako forma pomocy dla dzieci i młodzieży z trudnościami w funkcjonowaniu psychospołecznym. Praca socjoterapeutów i socjoterapeutek jest oparta na zaufaniu społecznym i wymaga funkcjonowania w wielu złożonych uwarunkowaniach. Celem niniejszej analizy było poznanie perspektywy socjoterapeutów i socjoterapeutek na trudności i wyzwania w ich codziennej pracy socjoterapeutycznej. W tym celu zostało zebranych 37 wypowiedzi pisemnych od socjoterapeutów pracujących w różnychplacówkach, głównie szkołach i świetlicach socjoterapeutycznych. Wypowiedzi zostały zanalizowane metodą analizy tematycznej (w podejściu autorstwa Braun i Clarke), pozwalającej nawygenerowanie pięciu tematów, które obejmują doświadczenie wyzwań: 1) wyzwaniem jest uczestnik; 2) dbać o grupę jako efektywne środowisko terapeutyczne; 3) pracować „z otwartym sercem”; 4) balansować między pewnością i niepewnością; 5) pracować mimo poczucia, że „nie wszyscy jadą w tę samą stronę”. Tematy mogą otworzyć dyskusję na temat tego, jak wspierać profesjonalistów/tki w ich codziennej pracy, na przykład przez wprowadzanie działań, które mogą zwiększyć ich poczucie wpływu i kontroli nad procesem socjoterapeutycznym. Jednocześnie praca socjoterapeutyczna jawi się jako wymagająca integrowania różnych celów związanych z kontekstami funkcjonowania uczestnika, grupy i instytucji, w których prowadzona jest socjoterapia.
    Sociotherapy is often offered in Poland as a form of help for children and youth with psychosocial difficulties. The work of sociotherapists and sociotherapists relies on socialtrust and requires functioning in many complex conditions. The aim of this analysis was to discover the perspective of sociotherapists on difficulties and challenges in their everyday sociotherapeutic work. For this purpose, 37 written statements were obtained from sociotherapists working in various institutions, mainly schools and sociotherapeutic community centers. The statements were analyzed by means of thematic analysis (in Braun and Clarke’s approach), allowing to generate five themes that include the experience of challenges: 1) the challenge is the participant; 2) caring for the group as an effective therapeutic environment; 3) working „with an open heart”; 4) balancing between certainty and uncertainty; 5) working despite the feeling that „not everyone is heading in the same direction”. These themes may open up a discussion on how to support the professionals in their daily work, for example by introducing activities that may increase their sense of influence and control over the sociotherapeutic process. At the same time, sociotherapeutic work appears as requiring the integration of different objectives associated with the contexts of functioning of the participant, the group and the institution in which the sociotherapy takes place.

    The topic of the article is the activation of excluded people through the sociotherapeutic use of a combination of art and new techniques. It is primarily about using technology to make cultural facilities accessible to people with disabilities, which can be used for therapeutic purposes. This topic is widely analysed today, inter alia in the publication edited by Anna Pawłowska, Anna Wendorff and Julia Sowińska-Heim (2016; 2018). The aim of the text is to look at culture from the perspective of its impact on people and vice versa. It is constituted on the assumptions of semiotics and cognitiveism. The foundations of both of these methodologies allow for a better understanding of two mechanisms: a) internal (centrifugal) – perception of audiovisual culture, i.e. the way of constructing the reception situation (the status of a virtual receiver) “secondary” inscribed in the work. In this case, the modelled viewer in the face of audiodescription; b) and external (centripetal) – the functioning of “audiovisual culture of perception”, i.e. the way of participation (inclusion in social circulation) in the culture for people with disabilities. The conclusion is that any person interested in art should have access to it. But not always, for many reasons, is it possible. One of the reasons that may hinder such access is the lack of adaptation of art buildings for the reception of people with disabilities. Then technology can help the art. However, it is important to use it ethically.
    Tematem artykułu jest audiodeskrypcja i aktywizacja osób wykluczonych przez socjoterapeutyczne wykorzystanie połączenia sztuki i nowych technik. Chodzi przede wszystkim o wykorzystanie techniki w udostępnianiu osobom niepełnosprawnym obiektów kultury, co może pełnić funkcje terapeutyczne. Jest to temat szeroko współcześnie analizowany, między innymi w publikacjach pod redakcją Anny Pawłowskiej, Anny Wendorff i Julii Sowińskiej- -Heim (2016; 2018). Cel tekstu stanowi spojrzenie na kulturę przez pryzmat jej oddziaływania na człowieka i odwrotnie. Jest ono oparte na założeniach semiotyki i kognitywizmu. Podstawy obu tych metodologii pozwalają lepiej zrozumieć dwa mechanizmy: a) wewnętrzny (odśrodkowy) – percepcji kultury audiowizualnej, czyli sposób konstruowania sytuacji odbiorczej (status odbiorcy wirtualnego) „wtórnie” wpisany w dzieło; b) zewnętrzny (dośrodkowy) – funkcjonowania „audiowizualnej kultury percepcji”, czyli sposób uczestniczenia (włączania w społeczny obieg) w kulturze osób niepełnosprawnych. Wnioskiem jest to, że każda osoba zainteresowana sztuką powinna mieć do niej dostęp. Nie zawsze jednak, z wielu powodów, okazuje się to możliwe. Do przyczyn mogących utrudniać taki dostęp należy brak przystosowania obiektów sztuki do odbioru przez osoby niepełnosprawne. Sztuce z pomocą może wówczas przyjść technologia.

    Przeznaczeniem młodzieżowych ośrodków wychowawczych (MOW) i ośrodków socjoterapii (MOS) jest praca z dziećmi i młodzieżą doświadczającymi zaburzeń prawidłowego funkcjonowania o różnej etiologii. Szczególna rola tych instytucji powoduje, że praca z wychowankami ośrodków jest niezwykle wymagająca. Wobec tego przyjęto za cel zaprezentowanie charakterystyki psychospołecznych warunków pracy w ośrodkach wychowawczych i socjoterapii. Dokonano przeglądu badań w tym zakresie. Ukazano potencjalne zależności między cechami środowiska pracy a wykonywaną pracą terapeutyczną. Wskazano zarówno na potrzebę kontynuacji badań w tym zakresie, jak i działań profilaktycznych skierowanych do tej grupy zawodowej.

Therefore, the aim of the article was to present the characteristics of psychosocial working conditions in educational and sociotherapy centers. Research in this area was reviewed. Potential relationships between the features of the work environment and the performed therapeutic work were shown. The need to continue research in this area as well as to create workplace prevention actions dedicated for this professional group was underlined.
