Opis:
It is a known fact that taking an interest in waka poetry, and calligraphy, as well as the art of music was an obligatory part of the education of the Heian Period. The author of the article focuses on waka composition and calligraphy as parts of the educational system and through the study of works of the time, like monogatari tales, analyzes the background that such an attitude towards education created. Her analysis progresses from an outline of the Heian Period educational system, Daigakuryō, to a description of Hikaru Genji’s views on Yūgiri’s education expressed in “The Maidens” chapter of the Genji Monogatari. In the Heian Period, being proficient in waka or calligraphy was for the most part a female matter. The education in the form of waka composition, calligraphy and the art of music was naturally important for the male aristocrats as well, but in the context of female involvement such education was indispensable and had to be intentionally mastered in order to function in the very unique environment of the court. The author shares her views on what the meaning of the composition of waka and calligraphy was amongst the aristocratic society.

The article considers the relevance of the ideas of modern informational science to the study of social development phenomenon, the definition of trends and perspectives of the globalization of communicative processes. The problems have been investigated in the context of interdisciplinary ideas, the role of informational science as a general scientific program has been revealed, information parameters of the communicative environment of global society have been analyzed. Purpose. The efficiency of using different types of informational activity in the study of the society globalization has been analyzed, the role of the semantic and pragmatic essence of information, its content in the process of world information exchange have been determined. Methods. Methods used in the article are as follows: system analysis, historical method, reasoning by analogy, generalization. Results. It has been proved that the use of information science methodology in the research of social development phenomenon allows one to outline new communicative strategies and managerial guidelines, to defines tendecies and prospects of the global information society. Information modeling of communicative processes will allow increasing the level of information representativeness and reliability, predicting conditions and circumstances of the information use in different regions of the world and various spheres of social activity.

The article offers an overview of the life of anthropologist Ivan Rakovsky who is an editor in chief of the Ukrainian General Encyclopedia (1930–1935) as the first Ukrainian universal reference work. The biographical information of the scientist is described through the vision of his formation as an encyclopediographer, the creation of UGE, its compiling, as well as activities in the Shevchenko Scientific Society.
У статті запропоновано огляд життєвого шляху антрополога Івана Раковського – головного редактора першої української універсальної енциклопедії – «Української загальної енциклопедії» (1930–1935). Описано біографічні відомості науковця крізь призму становлення його як енциклопедиста, створення УЗЕ, її підготовки та діяльності в Науковому товаристві імені Шевченка.

The creative heritage of Yakov Polonsky foreruns the Russian modernism on the whole and symbolism in particular in terms of both the worldview and the features of poetics. Vladimir Solovyov explained this connection by pointing to the romantic vein in the personality of the poet and to his striving for the ideal. Polonsky was the forerunner of the Russian symbolism in that he affirmed the ideal in the forms of real life. The convergence between his work and the programme of the young symbolists consisted in the absolute reliance on the image as a “symbol of the religious reality” (Aram Asoyan). The lyrical cycles by Polonsky and Blok that are discussed show a dramatic disunity of a community of people who have lost spiritual values of life. The result of this loss is suffering and death (the motive of Retribution). The moment of the highest tension in the development of the lyric plot in Polonsky’s work is the loneliness of the protagonist in the absolute darkness and emptiness of a lifeless space of a mystery. Blok shows the loneliness of his protagonist in the antithesis between the motionless “perfect order” of an ordinary life and the spontaneous movement of reminiscences, of anticipation and of thoughts, all born from dreams. Polonsky’s Dreams close with the Transfiguration achieved through obtaining a mysterious book. Blok’s cycle, in turn, ends with a sentence of suffering in the afterlife for the apostate. The analysis of the plot and motives in the two cycles makes it possible to ascertain their affinity on the level of the symbolic functioning of the motif complex of the apocalyptic plot.
Творческое наследие Я. П. Полонского мировоззренчески и чертами поэтики предшествовало русскому модернизму в целом и символизму в частности. В. С. Соловьев обосновывал эту общность романтической направленностью личности поэта и ее устремленностью к идеалу. Полонский предварил русский символизм тем, что, утверждал идеальное начало в формах действительной жизни. Органичность его творчества программе младших символистов состояла в абсолютном доверии художественному образу как «символу религиозной реальности» (А. А. Асоян). В лирических циклах Полонского и Блока показана драматическая разобщенность сообщества людей, утративших духовные смыслы бытия. Следствием этой утраты становится страдание и смерть (мотив Возмездия). Наиболее напряженным моментом в развитии лирического сюжета у Полонского является одиночество героя в абсолютной темноте и пустоте безжизненного мистериального пространства. У Блока одиночество героя показано в антитезе неподвижного «отменного порядка» обыденности стихийному движению порожденных сном воспоминаний, предчувствий, мыслей. Сны Полонского завершаются мотивом Преображения через обретение тайной книги. Цикл Блока – утверждением посмертного страдания богоотступника. Сюжетно-мотивный анализ двух циклов позволяет установить их родственность на уровне символического функционирования мотивного комплекса апокалиптического сюжета.

At the same time, the Festivals of Orthodox chants, their spheres of influence on listeners and society are systematized and compared.
Artykuł porusza pytania o znaczenie śpiewów prawosławnych w życiu współczesnego społeczeństwa, rozważa znaczenie ich występów na scenie koncertowej, poza praktyką liturgiczną, i analizuje repertuar liturgiczny oraz dominujące czynniki konieczne dla kompozytora, który zaczyna tworzyć dzieła prawosławne. W tym samym czasie festiwale śpiewów prawosławnych, ich sfery wpływów na słuchaczy i społeczeństwo są usystematyzowane i porównywane.

У статті розкрито становище української вищої освіти та науки на західноукраїнських землях, які у міжвоєнний період увійшли до складу Польщі. Показано зусилля Наукового товариства ім. Шевченка у Львові, Товариства українських наукових викладів ім. П.Могили та Ставропігійського братства при греко-католицькій церкві Успіня Пресвятої Богородиці щодо організації університетських курсів. Зазначено, що значний влад у розвиток української науки та її презентації на світовому рівні зробила Богословська Академія у Львові (заснована у жовтні 1929 р.). Беззаперечним лідером української науки в регіоні у міжвоєнний період було Наукового товариства ім. Шевченка, яке попри всі складнощі змогло розвивати українську науку і знайомити з нею іноземний світ.
The article describes the situation of Ukrainian higher education and science in the western Ukrainian lands, which became part of Poland in the interwar period. Through the efforts of the Shevchenko Scientific Society in Lviv, the Association of Ukrainian Scientific Exhibitions. P. Graves and the Stavropigian Brotherhood at the Greek Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the organization of university courses. It is noted that a significant authority in the development of Ukrainian science and its presentation at the world level was made by the Theological Academy in Lviv (founded in October 1929). The undisputed leader of Ukrainian science in the region during the interwar period was the Scientific Society. Shevchenko, who, despite all the difficulties, was able to develop Ukrainian science and familiarize it with the foreign world.
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie sytuacji ukraińskiego szkolnictwa wyższego oraz nauki na zachodnich ziemiach ukraińskich, które stały się częścią Polski w okresie międzywojennym. Szczególna uwagę zwrócono na wysiłki Towarzystwa Naukowego im Tarasa Szewczenki we Lwowie, Towarzystwa Ukraińskich Wykładów Naukowych im P. Mohyły i Bractwa Stawropigijskiego przy Kościele greckokatolickim Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Maryi Panny w zakresie organizacji kursów uniwersyteckich. Autorka konstatuje, że znaczący wkład do rozwoju nauki ukraińskiej podniesienia jej poziomu miała Akademia Teologiczna we Lwowie (założona w październiku 1929 r.). Analiza dokumentów źródłowych wskazuje jednoznacznie, że w okresie międzywojennym niekwestionowanym liderem rozwoju nauki ukraińskiej w tym regionie było Towarzystwo Naukowe im. Tarasa Szewczenki, które mimo rozlicznych trudności było w stanie rozwijać ukraińską naukę i prezentować ją poza granicami Ukrainy.

The analysis of online encyclopedias in the Ukrainian information space is done in this paper. It is investigated that online encyclopedias are divided into two large groups: digital analogues of printed editions, for example the online Encyclopedia of Modern Ukraine, and independent encyclopedic web projects, among which the most popular is Wikipedia (one of the most visited sites in the Ukrainian information space). Despite the fact that electronic encyclopedias have a number of advantages, to refuse to print classical editions there are no grounds. For the development of the Ukrainian information space, it is important that any encyclopedia project aimed at making a printed product is also presented in an electronic version.
Здійснено аналіз електронних енциклопедій в українському інформаційному просторі. Досліджено, що електронні енциклопедії поділяються на дві великі групи – цифрові аналоги друкованих видань, наприклад, онлайн-версія «Енциклопедії Сучасної України», і самостійні енциклопедичні веб-проекти, серед яких найпопулярнішою є «Вікіпедія» (входить до найбільш відвідуваних сайтів в українському інформаційному просторі). Незважаючи на те, що електронні енциклопедії мають низку переваг, відмовлятися від друкованих класичних видань немає підстав. З погляду розвитку українського інформаційного простору важливо, щоб будь-який енциклопедичний проект, націлений на виготовлення друкованого продукту, був представлений також електронною версією в мережі Інтернет.

Opis:
The article briefly reviews the representatives of the Ukrainian community in Poland with an emphasis on the post-war period, when many Ukrainians ended up in a neighboring state due to the Second World War, and especially due to the deportation of a part of Ukrainians from their ethnic lands caused by the Operation Vistula. The author shows, Ukrainians in Poland did not undergo complete assimilation, on the contrary, Ukrainians have preserved their national identity. Figures who, thanks to their actions and works, contributed to the unification of Ukrainians, contributed to the unification of Ukrainians, the preservation of the Ukrainian language, education, culture, and traditions, can be considered prominent representatives of the Ukrainian people, and therefore should be the focus of attention of specialists in encyclopedia practice and biography studies. The state of academic studies of Ukrainian figures in Poland is outlined as well. The article content is presented by the chronological principle. The author also resorts to grouping personalities according to their social and political activities, belonging to this or that society or other Ukrainian minority groups.
