In the article three general questions were posed as a means of presenting explorative issue: (1) Law as regulation of an order; (2) Law as regulation of a liberty; (3) Controversy of social industry in law. In order to realize the issue thus outlined in the first section it has been shown two different and opposites kinds of orders in widely understanding term ‘sociology of law’ as well as Hayekian criticism of Descartes rationality. The structure of exogenous and endogenous orders has been carefully analysed in relation to their ancient equivalents: taxis and nomos. Special attention has been given to make an explanation of Hayekian understanding of legal frameworks connected with the process of organization and division of power. It has been outlined the rule of law in political system of Austrian economist (concept of demarchy) and his principal arguments for legislature and problem of ‘good regulation’. In the second part of thesis it has been shown a widely connection between spontaneous order and both liberty and the process of progression. In this section the strive was to present mostly values and good points in Hayekian conception, but there is also a critical part concerning both unsymmetrical constraint of freedom and symmetrical. In the third part of this thesis it has been shown the historical background of Hayekian research connected with the controversy of social industry in law. Referring to the intellectual dispute between Spencer’s organicism and Durkheim’s paternalistic conception Hayek has divided between law and law-making (legislation) and he has proved that law is only a spontaneous order notwithstanding good legislation means rules of harmonization and maintenance this kind of abstract social structure. Hayek’s concept of law is in accordance with philosophical, sociological, economical and political research of the general and popular nowadays problem with the new paternalism.36-50

The article points to the specific nature of social functioning of IT specialists in three areas (attitudes towards: superiors, co-workers, self-development). What is also described are the specifics of the development needs of this professional group. The characterization of IT specialists is preceded by the description and classification of improvement tools that are adequate to the individual stages in the development of social competencies. The author also refers to some of the latest tools for improvement of the competencies of IT specialists. Both classic and the latest tools are analysed and evaluated. Regarding the latest tools, the author focuses on the assessment of gamification.

Polish Scientific Networks: Science and Business conference was held on 30 June – 2 July 2016 in EIT+ Wroclaw Research Centre. Its main aim was to facilitate networking between young Polish researchers working in Poland and abroad, both in academia and in industry. The article focuses on one of the many subjects brought up during the conference panel discussions, i.e. on different ways of increasing the social capital in Poland in order to enhance successful collaborations between science and industry. I discuss the role of education and international  and intersectoral mobility in changing people’s mindset: teaching them mutual trust and opening them for challenge.

This paper analyzes the impact of social dialogue on the restructuring process in the Polish steel industry, using the history of restructuring in the same sector in the United Kingdom as a frame of reference. Despite steep declines in employment, due to technological, organisational, and ownership changes in the sector, restructuring in Poland did not encounter particularly strong resistance on the part of organised labour, in contrast to the powerful union response seen in the UK. The difference is attributed to the presence of active social dialogue at the sectoral level in Poland and the absence of such dialogue in the UK.

Article focuses on the analysis of approaches to studying cultural capital of IT developers. Exploratory case study refers to the IT developers’ activity and focuses the cultural capital (CC) of the Ukrainian IT sector. Theoretical foundation of the study is based on the cultural capital theory referring to the value of social relations and networks. Research results demonstrate that Ukrainian IT developers accumulate CC through education: individual, in family, at school and with peers. Cultural capital could be transformed into other forms of capital: economic and social ones.

The paper discusses the role of social dialogue in facilitating social peace during the process of industrial restructuring in the steel sector in Poland in the late 1990s and 2000s. It is argued that the sectoral social dialogue proved to be a critical factor for the ultimate success of the restructuring, securing cooperation between the major actors of industrial relations within the branch and providing for welfare of employees exiting the sector due to organisational and technological change.

Dokonano charakterystyki wykorzystania tej idei w praktyce przedsiębiorstw sektora TSL.
Corporate Social Responsibility for modern enterprises has become a very important direction of development. Although the assumptions are made on a voluntary basis, more and more companies see social activity as his duty. This can be seen also in the case of transportation and logistics companies.This chapter presents the concept and scope of the CSR. The author describes the use of the corporate social responsibility approach in the field of transport-forwarding-logistics. Furthermore the paper shows the practical application of CSR.

The paper reviews the institutional structure or strategic framework, the Wine Industry Transformation Charter and Scorecard, adopted on 31 July 2007, through which good governance and social responsibility programmes are fostered, implemented and monitored in the South African wine industry. In other words, the paper outlines how the wine industry seeks to foster social change through integrated socioeconomic support structures, as based on the Wine Industry Plan (WIP). The wine charter and scorecard components are a representation of good governance in the industry, whereas the social capital development approach is the focus of social responsibility programmes in the wine industry. The seven components of the wine transformation charter are: (i) ownership, (ii) management/control, (iii) employment equity, (iv) skills development, (v) enterprise development, (vi) preferential procurement, and (vii) rural development, land reform and poverty alleviation. Five areas that constitute the programmes of social responsibility are: (i) the responsible alcohol use, (ii) rural development and poverty alleviation, (iii) security of tenure, (iv) land, and (v) sectoral determination. The implications for the agri-food sector and conclusions are provided.

Paper presents the social audit method – a research tool designed to measure discrimination in the employment area. Social audit is used to examine the discrimination problem in the recruitment process and to study working conditions, especially these of female staff, in companies applying or having obtained the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) certificates. The audit methodology combines the experimental approach with the fieldwork orientation: hidden and open observation, various types of interviews, documentation analysis linking to financial audits and occupational health and safety control. This approach seems to be similar to the grounded theory methodology or to the evaluation research methods. The paper examines the audits conducted in Poland – both these commissioned by a non-governmental organizations in order to evaluate the working conditions, and these conducted by the author of this paper to countercheck its methodology and adapt it to the local environment, pointing out its advantages and disadvantages.

The authors have suggested analytical tools to evaluate levels of internal social responsibility by developing an aggregate set of indicators. The reference indicators values were substantiated on the basis of average industry ones, which provided an opportunity to determine the multiple coefficients. The suggested tools provide the opportunity to define enterprises’ tendency for change in the level of responsibility level by years. This research can have important practical impacts due to its quantitative assessment having been based on published financial statements. The study creates additional opportunities for stakeholders to evaluate current internal corporate social responsibility levels and predict their own development direction.

The textile-clothing industry is still perceived as one of the most important sectors of the world economy, and it is also the case in Poland, where it determines the directions of development of regions related to it. The development of new media, however, has contributed to significant changes in the environment of modern enterprises belonging to that sector, which has led to the evolution of their marketing orientation. The multidimensionality and complexity of processes observed bring about the necessity to modify the implemented process of building a competitive advantage and to look for effective tools in this area. Hypermedia space requires the participation of various groups of stakeholders, both in the B2C and B2B market. A solution that proves useful in this field is definitely social media, which significantly implies the quality of implemented processes while generating a wide spectrum of opportunities to compete. The aim of the article is to identify the marketing potential of social media in the textile-clothing industry with particular reference to their role in the process of the market orientation of enterprises from this sector.
Przemysł lekki wciąż stanowi jedną z ważniejszych dziedzin gospodarki światowej, w tym również w Polsce, determinując kierunki rozwoju poszczególnych regionów z nią związanych. Rozwój nowych mediów przyczynił się jednak do istotnych zmian w otoczeniu współczesnych przedsiębiorstw tego sektora rynku, prowadząc do ewolucji ich orientacji marketingowej. Wieloaspektowość i złożoność obserwowanych procesów wymusza konieczność modyfikacji realizowanego procesu budowania przewagi rynkowej i poszukiwania efektywnych narzędzi w tym zakresie. Przestrzeń hipermedialna wymaga bowiem współuczestnictwa różnych grup stakeholders, zarówno na rynku B2C, jak i B2B. Przydatnym rozwiązaniem w tym zakresie mogą okazać się social media, które w znaczący sposób implikują jakość realizowanych procesów, generując szerokie spektrum możliwości konkurowania. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja potencjału marketingowego mediów społecznościowych w przemyśle lekkim, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem ich roli w procesie orientacji rynkowej przedsiębiorstw tego sektora.

This text deals with one of the neglected topics of contemporary social pedagogy which extends to developmental psychology and sociology. This topic is so-called cult of youth which is often mentioned in the academic literature, but has not been precisely conceptualized. This text was therefore focused on the definition of basic category, i.e. youth, and then discussed the relationship to the cult of youth and the individual elements that helps to form it. The cult of youth is associated with so called youth culture, which has been spread and produced by global media. The influence of the media has been already evident from the 60’s of the 20th century, when we often talk about American cultural hegemony which presents within its production the popular culture and youthful lifestyle, which is then presented in magazines, music media, fashion industry, etc. For contemporary capitalist society the concept of the cult of youth is a useful concept as only successful, young and efficient individuals can consume new and new products (as well as use the services) typical for this still-rising imaginary phase of human life. Therefore the cult of youth is the domain of successful people who do not want to lose their success. Only socially successful can try to be “forever young”.
