    The aim of the article is to indicate the general characteristics of the key elements of the social counseling process. To accomplish this task the authors used professional literature and one of the co-authors’ professional experience in his field of study. František Drozd has been practicing social counseling in Slovakia for several years. His experience has allowed him to competently determine the key factors in the counseling process. These are: (1) ambient conditions and taking into account the time factor; (2) properly conducted interview; (3) the relevant contract with the client and skillful completion of the counseling process, and (4) ethical principles in the counseling relation.

    The aim of the article is to indicate the reasons for institutional changes in the provision of specialist counseling services in Poland. The author poses a thesis that specialist counseling is too closely associated with the social assistance system and becomes synonymous with social counseling. This results in lack of universality of the service which is directed almost exclusively to beneficiaries of social security. In the meantime, specialist counseling should “overtake” the social security system and act immediately after the problem has been identified, in the early stages of a difficult situation. The article is of analyticalempirical nature. The presented position results from the quantitative and qualitative analysis of research carried out among representatives of social services, specialists, local authorities, representatives of the III sector, people managing social security systems and local communities.

    The consequence of the dynamically ongoing changes is a growing area of uncertainty and social risks. Inability to cope with the permanently occurring uncertainty on the one hand leads to several negative consequences, such as a sense of alienation, meaninglessness, or helplessness, and on the other – increases the need for development of powers to plan one’s own career path or to cope with new challenges. The demand for counseling is not only in individuals who want to quickly and effectively develop their own careers, but also in individuals that fall out of the mainstream, and are not able to function in the realities of today’s labour markets or to fulfil their professional and family roles. The paper presents an analysis of the role of guidance, resulting from the implementation of modern paradigms of social policy (anticipatory, investment, activating), and biographical and emancipation counselling models in increasing human and social capital.

    Family counseling institutions are an important part of the mission of the Evangelical Church in Germany. Their importance could be considered in two dimensions: firstly as a task of the church referring to the Greatest Commandment about love of one’s neighbors and secondly, as the way of the Church towards the contemporary society. The article intends to describe the structure of the evangelical counseling, its subjects and its features. The aim could be achieved by a deep scrutiny of particular institutions of Church counseling, their history, their requirements of cooperation with parishes and requirements for social workers. The subjects of evangelical counseling should be considered as a final point of the article as they are a picture of evangelical interpretations of contemporary phenomena of the world. Three of them: abortion, domestic and sexual violence and family crisis are of high importance. Theological and sociological guidelines are introduced into the article as they become the ground for the interpretation of both challenges to the contemporary world and the ways of facing them by the Church.

    Online counseling is an integral part of traditional counseling. It never broke away from its roots, nor became independent. It is an enrichment of the possibility of helping other people in other than traditional conditions and in a way that takes into account the needs and habits of modern society. The aim of the study is to investigate how online counseling can be used in the conditions of crisis changes. In order to achieve this goal, the technical possibilities and social readiness for this type of assistance were analyzed. The review and analysis of experiences in the field of online counseling and support was used to assess the possibilities of developing these forms of supporting society in the time of the pandemic crisis.Especially in the last two socially difficult years, the demand for remote psychological counseling and help has increased. The ability to support children and adults via the Internet has also increased significantly. The competences of educators, psychologists and social workers should be developed so that they can properly use the potential of online guidance.
    Poradnictwo psychopedagogiczne online jest integralną częścią poradnictwa tradycyjnego. Nigdy nie oderwało się od swoich korzeni, ani się nie usamodzielniło. Stanowi wzbogacenie możliwości pomocy drugiemu człowiekowi w innych niż tradycyjne warunkach i w sposób uwzględniający potrzeby oraz nawyki nowoczesnego społeczeństwa. Celem pracy jest zbadanie jak w warunkach zmian kryzysowych można wykorzystać poradnictwo online. Aby zrealizować ten cel dokonano analizy możliwości technicznych i gotowości społecznej na ten rodzaj pomocy. Przegląd i analiza doświadczeń w zakresie poradnictwa i pomocy psychologicznej online posłużyła do tego, aby oszacować możliwości rozwoju tych form wspomagania społeczeństwa w dobie kryzysu pandemicznego. Należy rozwijać kompetencje pedagogów, psychologów i pracowników socjalnych, aby mogli właściwie wykorzystać potencjał poradnictwa online.

    Konsekwencją dynamicznie dokonujących się przemian jest zwiększający się obszar niepewności i ryzyk społecznych. Nieumiejętność radzenia sobie z permanentnie występującą niepewnością z jednej strony prowadzi do szeregu negatywnych konsekwencji, jak poczucie wyalienowania, bezsensu czy bezradności, z drugiej zaś – zwiększa zapotrzebowanie na rozwój kompetencji pozwalających na planowanie własnej drogi zawodowej czy też radzenia sobie z nowymi wyzwaniami. Zapotrzebowanie na poradnictwo występuje nie tylko u jednostek chcących szybko i efektywnie rozwijać własną karierę, ale także u jednostek, które wypadają z głównego nurtu życia społecznego, i nie są w stanie funkcjonować w realiach współczesnych rynków pracy ani wypełniać ról rodzinnych i zawodowych. W artykule przedstawiono analizę roli poradnictwa, wynikającego z implementacji współczesnych paradygmatów polityki społecznej (antycypacyjnego, inwestycyjnego, aktywizującego) oraz modeli poradnictwa biograficznego i emancypacyjnego w pomnażaniu kapitału ludzkiego i społecznego.

    In the article counseling, advice and guidance has been defined very broadly. The main focus is to show some areas of the counseling and guidance space as dominated by a certain modality. First, we point out to guidance that could be coded as ‘Biblical”, i.e. constituting not only guidelines but primarily the driving force for subsequent civilizations within a world formed by them. Another macro-counseling example are slogans of the French Revolution and, in general, the Enlightenment. In the article we focus on a thought experiment, taking as our input the WHO guidelines on sexual education for children and youth. Our attention was drawn primarily by the term ‘guidelines’ and a thorough analysis of excerpts from the guidelines revealed not only specific aspects of narration but also persuasion mechanisms, aimed to convince the reader of the guidelines validity. This revealed the ideological character of the Standards for Sexual Education in Europe and the attempt to create social demand for such, and not another counseling content and educational design. Counsellogy as an academic field has not yet examined the offer of the Standards and only rarely focused on macro-counseling, and hence we draw some hypotheses related to future work in these areas.
    W artykule kwestię poradnictwa, porad, doradztwa potraktowano bardzo szeroko. Głównie chodziło w nim jednak o ukazanie niektórych obszarów w przestrzeni porad i doradztwa jako zdominowanych przez pewną modalność. Na wstępie wskazane zostały porady, które można skrótowo nazwać „biblijnymi”. Stały się nie tylko wskazaniami, ale nade wszystko siłą sprawczą powstawania kolejnych cywilizacji tworzonego przez nie kształtu świata. Innym przykładem przedstawionego tu makroporadnictwa są hasła Rewolucji Francuskiej i Oświecenia w ogóle. Przede wszystkim dokonano tu jednak pewnego eksperymentu myślowego, dla którego materiałem wyjściowym były zalecenia WHO, dotyczące standardów edukacji seksualnej dzieci i młodzieży. To właśnie termin zalecenia skierował uwagę autora na ten materiał jako interesujący rodzaj makroporadnictwa. Wnikliwa analiza poszczególnych partii opracowanych zaleceń pozwoliła na odtworzenie zarówno nieoczywistych aspektów omawianej narracji, jak i mechanizmów perswazyjnych, mających przekonać odbiorcę o ich słuszności. W ten też sposób ujawniono ideologiczny charakter Standardów edukacji seksualnej w Europie oraz próbę wytwarzania społecznego zapotrzebowania na taki a nie inny poradniczy przekaz i koncepcję edukacji. Poradoznawstwo jako dyscyplina akademicka dotychczas nie analizowało propozycji zawartej w „Standardach” i rzadko zajmowało się zagadnieniami makroporadnictwa, stąd na zakończenie można wysunąć pewne hipotezy, dotyczące dalszej pracy nad tymi obszarami.

    Celem artykułu jest wskazanie i ogólna charakterystyka kluczowych elementów procesu doradztwa społecznego. Przy realizacji tak postawionego zadania – oprócz fachowej literatury przedmiotu − wykorzystano doświadczenie zawodowe w tej dziedzinie jednego ze współautorów: František Drozd od kilkunastu lat prowadzi praktykę doradztwa społecznego na Słowacji. Zdobyta przez ten czas wiedza pozwoliła mu określić w sposób kompetentny zasadnicze czynniki procesu doradczego. Są to: (1) odpowiednie warunki zewnętrzne i uwzględnienie czynnika czasu; (2) właściwie przeprowadzona rozmowa doradcza; (3) zawarcie stosownego kontraktu z klientem i umiejętne zakończenie procesu doradczego, oraz (4) przestrzeganie zasad etycznych w relacji doradczej.

    By means of a qualitative approach, this study aimed to understand the main narrative patterns of working identity construction and influences of gender relations in these processes through content analysis of the narratives generated by a purposive sample of 40 Brazilian urban workers. Five narratives patterns were found (organizational, professional/occupational, networking, hybrid, and de-identification). In the analysis of gender relations, men and women likewise constructed organizational and professional/occupational identities; men, however, were more likely to construct hybrid identities while women were more likely to construct flexible identities. In conclusion, traditional models of identity construction coexist with flexible and hybrid models, but with an important gender difference consisting in women’s major tendency to change. The practical implications and limitations of these results for career counseling are discussed.
    Celem niniejszej pracy, w której wykorzystano wyniki badań uzyskane przy użyciu podejścia jakościowego, było wyjaśnienie narracyjnych wzorów konstrukcji pracowniczej tożsamości oraz oddziaływania na nie relacji genderowych. Analizie poddano treść narracji 40 brazylijskich pracowników miejskich. Zidentyfikowano pięć wzorów narracyjnych (organizacyjny, zawodowy/branżowy, sieciowy, hybrydowy oraz deidentyfikujący). W analizie relacji genderowych zauważono, że kobiety i mężczyźni podobnie konstruowali tożsamość organizacyjną oraz zawodowo/branżową; z tym, że mężczyźni częściej skłaniali się do konstrukcji tożsamości hybrydowej, a kobiety do konstrukcji tożsamości plastycznej. Modele tradycyjne konstrukcji tożsamości współistnieją z modelami hybrydowymi i plastycznymi, ale ważną różnicą na poziomie gender jest to, że większość kobiet ma tendencję do ich zmiany. Omówione zostały praktyczne konsekwencje oraz zastosowania tych wyników dla doradztwa kariery.

Przedstawiona w tym artykule problematyka może być interesująca dla wielu doradców, terapeutów, pracowników socjalnych oraz dla małżonków uwikłanych w problem uzależnienia i/lub przemocy.
    The reports on the increasing number of divorces/separations in Poland and the statistical data on the scale of the problem of addictions and violence (in the social welfare system, and not only), became a contribution to the theoretical considerations on the need and limits of saving marriages in crisis affected by the above mentioned problems. It was explained: from what it is worth/necessary to save a marriage in crisis, who is to save it, how to do it, what it means „at all costs” (who pays what price?) and where are the limits of saving? The issues presented in this article may be interested to many counselors, therapists, social workers, and spouses caught up in addiction and/or violence.
