The aim of the article is to show the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the activities of small enterprises on the example of business customers of a manufacturing company. The article contains current issues and presents problems regarding the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, which started in March 2020. The theoretical part shows the impact of the pandemic crisis on the activities of enterprises. The empirical part presents the results of research showing the decisions of company managers during the COVID-19 pandemic affecting the behavior of employees, suppliers, customers and the paper producer. The results of the research can be a source of knowledge for top and middle management, but also for employees whose safety of life and health is particularly important in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Celem artykułu jest ukazanie wpływu pandemii COVID-19 na działalność małych przedsiębiorstw na przykładzie klientów biznesowych przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjnego. Artykuł zawiera aktualne zagadnienia i prezentuje problemy dotyczące trwającej od marca 2020 roku globalnej pandemii wywołanej przez COVID-19. W części teoretycznej ukazano wpływ kryzysu pandemicznego na działalność przedsiębiorstw. W części empirycznej przedstawiono wyniki badań ukazujące decyzje menedżerów przedsiębiorstw w czasie pandemii COVID-19 wpływające na zachowania pracowników, dostawców, klientów oraz producenta papieru. Rezultaty badań mogą być źródłem wiedzy dla kadr kierowniczych najwyższego i średniego szczebla, ale również dla pracowników, których bezpieczeństwo życia i zdrowia jest szczególnie ważne w czasach pandemii COVID-19.

W artykule, jako efekt przeglądu literatury przedmiotu, przedstawiono istotę społecznej odpowiedzialności małych przedsiębiorstw hotelarskich oraz scharakteryzowano interesariuszy, wobec których przedsiębiorstwa ponoszą odpowiedzialność. Przedstawione zostało małe przedsiębiorstwo hotelarskie oraz jego interesariusze. Celem artykułu jest scharakteryzowanie roli wybranych interesariuszy wewnętrznych i zewnętrznych małego przedsiębiorstwa hotelarskiego w kształtowaniu społecznej odpowiedzialności. W ostatnim punkcie dokonano charakterystyki wybranych interesariuszy w kontekście ich roli kształtowaniu społecznej odpowiedzialności. Powstał on w wyniku obserwacji uczestniczącej oraz doświadczenia autora, który jest pracownikiem małego przedsiębiorstwa hotelarskiego.
The article, as a result of the literature review, presents the concept of social responsibility of small hotel companies and characterizes the stakeholders to whom the companies are responsible. It presents a small hotel company and its stakeholders. The purpose of the article is to characterise the role of chosen internal and external stakeholders of a small hotel company in shaping the corporate social responsibility. In the last point the chosen stakeholders were characterized in the context of their role in shaping social responsibility. It was created as a result of participating observation and experience of the author, who is an employee of a small hotel company.

The aim of this work was to determine the effectiveness of using the FMEA method in the traditional and modern versions for a small company producing plastic toys. It also identified the production process of a plastic instrument toy selected for analysis by dividing operations into adding and not adding value, in accordance with the Lean concept. Through the FMEA sheets constructed and presented in this work in both versions of this method, the causes and effects of defects in the technological operations of the production process of the test subject were presented. A risk analysis was carried out using assessments available for the traditional and new versions, and preventive and detective actions were proposed. The result of the work was a comparison of risk indicators characteristic for both versions of the FMEA method and an assessment of the effectiveness of this method in the analysed enterprise. Emphasis was placed on the human factor in the research. Both the division of operations into adding and not adding value, as well as the FMEA method, were useful for further optimization and process improvement activities.

This articleaims to identify the characteristics and principles of operation of a small mutualsin theory and practice of insurance market. In the past few years significant changes on a global scale have been made to simplify accounting rules for small and medium-sized enterprises. The reasons underlyin these changes is the growing importance of this group of entities for the economic development of many countries, but also the cost-effectiveness criterion for obtaining financial information from the point of view of their usefulness to many stakeholders. It seems that European Union settled too di stant date to its member states for the implementation of the new directive on financia l reporting, which is to be applied for the preparation of financial statements for 2016. From this perspective legislation activities for changing the Accounting Act taken by Poland should be welcomed. There is a chance that preferred solutions for small a nd medium-sized enterprises will be able to come into force no later than 2015, and maybe even earlier.

Nowadays Russian oil industry development faces to the problems of oil depletion, mineral resource base deterioration and hard to recover reserves growth. International experience shows that one of the effective solutions of this problem can be small and medium enterprises’ creation. Small oil companies are able to develop marginal oil-wells in difficult geological conditions. The research of problems, state of the art and development prospects of small oil enterprises in Russia is carried out in the article. The investigation of innovative capacity and small oil companies’ ability to develop hard to recover reserves are studied. Special attention is paid to the matter of the small oil business’ operation in the context of current situation and economic slump. Efficiency and high performance indexes of small enterprises in this sector were proved.
Obecnie rozwój rosyjskiego przemysłu naftowego staje w obliczu niedoboru ropy naftowej, wyczerpywania złóż surowców mineralnych i wzrostu liczby zasobów naturalnych z utrudnioną dostępnością. Analiza międzynarodowych doświadczeń w tym zakresie wskazuje, że jednym z efektywniejszych rozwiązań tego problemu może być tworzenie małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw naftowych. Małe przedsiębiorstwa naftowe mogą zagospodarować niewielkie, skrajnie położone złoża ropy naftowej w trudnych warunkach geologicznych. W artykule podjęto rozważania na temat wskazanego problemu, opierając się na aktualnym stanie wiedzy oraz perspektywach rozwojowych małych przedsiębiorstw naftowych w Rosji. Przeanalizowano zdolności innowacyjne oraz możliwości małych przedsiębiorstw naftowych w obszarze zagospodarowania trudno dostępnych złóż. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na zagadnienie funkcjonowania małych przedsiębiorstw naftowych w aktualnych uwarunkowaniach ekonomicznych i gospodarczych. W artykule wykazano, że małe i średnie przedsiębiorstwa naftowe cechują wysoka wydajność i efektywność ekonomiczna.

The article presents results of research concerning identification of organization schemes and management processes that make a small construction company function efficiently and hold against other entities in local markets. It was estimated to what extent the classic principles for organization and management are realized in a small construction company. Basic for that evaluation were the Toyota management principles and the HR organization principles as gathered and quoted by Rowiński. The research was conducted with the guided interview method, supplemented by CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview) survey. Based on the information gathered the characteristics of organization and management of small construction companies active in the business of finishing works were described. The most important elements presented were the owner-employee relations, scope of activities performed personally by the owner, quality assurance methods for works, scope of cooperation with other entities, mode of customer acquisition and ways in which new technologies are adopted. It was found that there is large coincidence between organizational and management principles applied in researched companies, and the rules for the Toyota manufacturing processes, slightly lower coincidence was found in case of analysis of the rules quoted by Rowiński. The research has shown the large universality of the rules found in literature – these are largely accomplished, even without owners and employees having the knowledge about their exact reading.

The paper features the method of creating a computer application (assuming intermediate programming skills) that shall perform geodetic computations. Computation of a levelling net is used as an example. The levelling nets are the most often analysed ones by small geodetic companies. A special program shall be used in order to perform computations. It is shown how the application shall be created so that individual requirements are fulfilled, in particular the control and presentation of the computation results.
W pracy pokazano sposób tworzenia (przy średnim zaawansowaniu umiejętności programistycznych) aplikacji komputerowej, której zadaniem jest wykonywanie obliczeń geodezyjnych (oparto się na przykładzie obliczenia sieci niwelacyjnej). Sieci takie są najczęściej mierzone przez małe firmy geodezyjne. Wykonanie obliczeń wymaga odpowiedniego programu. Pokazany jest sposób wykonania aplikacji, która pozwoli na zaspokojenie indywidualnych potrzeb użytkownika, w szczególności umożliwi kontrolę i prezentację wyników obliczeń.

Sieci takie są często mierzone przez małe firmy geodezyjne. Obliczenia wymagają odpowiedniego programu. Pokazano sposób realizacji aplikacji opartej na arkuszu kalkulacyjnym, która pozwoli na zaspokojenie indywidualnych potrzeb, w szczególności kontroli i prezentacji wyników obliczeń.

Today, as a result of significant reductions in the armed forces in the world, it is difficult to maintain the scale of production at a high level and economically rational. In addition, self-mastery all the necessary modern battlefield technology is a huge challenge for even the biggest economic powers. That is why it is so important today for the security of states international economic cooperation. Today has been a growing interest in international economic cooperation in the field of defense technology. Economic and defense cooperation in the field of advanced technology is especially important for small businesses. Small businesses are more flexible in taking risks, but do not have the capabilities. Interesting research on the factors influencing the development of economic and defense cooperation of small businnesses conducted British economists P. Bishop. Empiricall studies on a sample of 355 British companies have confirmed a significant positive relationship between firm size measured by the level of employment and the likekihood of international cooperation. The study also showed that innovation and a significant share of defense in total company revenue can facilitate establishing international economic cooperation.
