    Opis:
    Limited resources are a natural feature of most real systems, both artificial and natural ones. This causes the need for effective management of access to existing resources. In this area, queuing systems are of special application. However, they are treated as simple systems for which two states are characteristic: work underload and work on the border of thermodynamic equilibrium.This approach is reflected in existing queue management mechanisms, that need to keep them in one of two mentioned states. On the other hand, they should be considered from the point of complex systems view, for which the third operation states: overload state is natural as well. In order to be closer to this issue, in this paper the authors consider queues performance from the perspective of complex systems.

    This paper presents the simple distributed system hardware platform for basic research. It allows to study the different variants and aspects of the data exchange or synchronization methods in distributed systems. Moreover, the platform has the ability to implement distributed embedded systems. The modularity of a system allows for fast reconfiguration of the platform, such as the exchange of end modules. Therefore, it is possible to make quick changes and verify the system operation.

    Wobec wielkiego zróżnicowania typów i rodzajów nieliniowych obiektów dynamicznych nie istnieje uniwersalna metoda identyfikacji ich dynamiki. Wszystkie wymagają pewnych arbitralnych założeń przez co mają ograniczone zastosowanie. Z tego powodu wciąż aktualne i ważne jest poszukiwanie nowych metod, które pozwoliły by na prostą identyfikację układów nieliniowych, nawet jeśli ograniczają się tylko do pewnej klasy obiektów. W pracy zaproponowano metodę identyfikacji dynamiki nieliniowych obiektów pierwszego i drugiego rzędu nie wymagającą stosowania specjalnych, trudnych do realizacji sygnałów testowych. Można ją stosować dla określonego typu modeli i przy zastosowaniu aproksymacji uzyskanych charakterystyk zależnościami analitycznymi.
    Because of the great diversity of types and kinds of nonlinear dynamic objects there is no universal method of identifying their dynamics. All of them require a certain arbitrary assumptions thus have limited application. For that reason still relevant and important is to search for new methods that would allow for easy identification of nonlinear systems, even if they are limited only to a certain class of objects. The simple method of identification of nonlinear dynamic properties of the first and second order are proposed in the paper. The method does not require the use of special, hard-to-implementation test signals. It can be used for certain types of models. In the proposed method some analytical dependencies are used instead of the obtained characteristics.

    Opis:
    An analysis of three major aspects has been carried out that may apply to any of the successive voting systems used for the European Union Council of Ministers, from the first one established in the Treaty of Rome in 1958 to the current one established in Lisbon. We mainly consider the voting systems designed for the enlarged European Union adopted in the Athens summit, held in April 2003 but this analysis can be applied to any other system. First, it is shown that the dimension of these voting systems does not, in general, reduce. Next, the egalitarian effects of superposing two or three weighted majority games (often by introducing additional consensus) are considered. Finally, the decisiveness of these voting systems is evaluated and compared.
