    Opis:
    The paper presents the strategy for identifying the shape of defects in the domain defined in the boundary value problem modelled by the nonlinear differential equation. To solve the nonlinear problem in the iterative process the PIES method and its ad-vantages were used: the efficient way of the boundary and the domain modelling and global integration. The identification was performed using the genetic algorithm, where in connection with the efficiency of PIES we identify the small number of data required to the defect’s definition. The strategy has been tested for different shapes of defects.

    Artykuł dotyczy zagadnienia identyfikacji zmian kształtu toru występujących w procesie wymuszonych przemieszczeń poprzecznych. Wymuszenia takie mają miejsce w regulacji geometrycznej osi toru podczas pracy podbijarki. W pracy przedstawiono założenia do opracowywanej metody ciągłego pomiaru wymuszonych przemieszczeń poprzecznych rusztu torowego. Zaprezentowany został program komputerowy realizujący proces identyfikacji obrazu oraz założenia do metodyki określania modelu teoretycznego powstałej deformacji geometrycznej. Autorzy nawiązali do wykonywanych przez nich prac badawczych, których celem było wykazanie zależności pomiędzy postacią deformacji wynikającej z pracy podbijarki a siłą osiową występującą w tokach szynowych toru bezstykowego.
    The paper presents a problem of a track shape identification, when the changes have a dynamic character and oceur in the process of forced lateral displacement. Such displacements oceur in a process of geometrical adjustment of the track longitudinal axis during the track's tamping. The authors discuss the main assumptions of the method of the continuous measurements of lateral rail’s dislocations. The computer program that identifies a rail image on a digital picture as well as creates a theoretical model of the rail axis has been presented. The authors refer to their previous researches when the aim was to investigate the relationship between the shape of the deformed rail as a result of the work of tamping machine and the axial force that exists in the rails of CWR tracks.

    Celem była identyfikacja kształtu i położenia struktur stawu kolanowego obrazowanego rezonansem magnetycznym (MR) w stabilizowanej pozycji, w aspekcie rozkładu grubości chrząstki stawowej. Badano prawidłowe stawy kolanowe. Obrazowanie przeprowadzono przy wykorzystaniu aparatu MR typu otwartego ze stabilizatorem kąta zgięcia kolana w przekrojach strzałkowych, czołowych i horyzontalnych, w wybranych pozycjach kątowych. Pomiary chrząstki budującej powierzchnie stawowe stawu kolanowego wykazały znaczne zróżnicowanie jej grubości oraz pofalowania z charakterystycznym przesunięciem fali.
    The aim of the study was to use the MRI to identify the shape and position of the structures of knee joints in a stabilized position, in terms of the analysis of joint cartilage thickness on femoral condyles, tibia condyles and the patella. There were studied normal knee joints. Imaging was performed with use of an open-type gradient coil MR apparatus with a knee bending angle stabilizer. The research strategy consisted of imaging: sagittal sections in a fixed position of the femoral bone relative to tibia, in selected sagittal sections for stabilized position of the femur relative to tibia for angles ranged from -10 degrees to 50 degrees, at 5 degree intervals, in the frontal sections with physiological extension, in the horizontal sections with physiological extension. Based on the MR imaging, there was measured the distribution of the thickness of joint cartilage that covered the femoral condyles, condyles of tibia and patella. The measurements of the cartilage building the surfaces of the knee joint showed significant variation in its thickness and folds with a characteristic wavelength shift in the tested sections. Variable thickness and uneven structures can substantially affect the conditions of joint lubrication and transfer of the locomotive load. Introduction of the stabilized position of the femur relative to tibia to the MR imaging allows useful identification of particular cartilage layers that work together.

    This paper studies the generic identification problem: to find the best non-parametrized object [Omega] which minimizes some weighted sum of distances to I a priori given objects [Omega]_i for metric distances constructed from the W^1,p-norm on the oriented (resp. signed) distance function which occurs in many different fields of applications. It discusses existence of solution to the generic identification problem and investigates the Eulerian shape semiderivatives with special consideration to the non-differentiable terms occurring in their expressions. A simple example for the new cracked sets recently introduced in Delfour and Zolesio (2004b) is also presented. It can be viewed as an approximation of a cracked set by sets whose boundary is made up of pieces of lines or Bezier curves that are not necessarily connected.

    W wielu przypadkach obserwacji zjawisk, w tym zwłaszcza dynamicznych, dysponujemy danymi pozyskanymi ze zdecydowanie różną rozdzielczością - np. w dziedzinie czasu i przestrzeni. W procesie przetwarzania i analizy takich danych często wykorzystywane są różnego rodzaju metody interpolacji lub/i aproksymacji. W szczególny jednak sposób należy traktować zbiory cech, których wartości zmieniają się w sposób amplitudowo-fazowy. Brak właściwej interpretacji przesunięć fazowych przy przetwarzaniu sygnałów pomiarowych może prowadzić do istotnego zniekształcenia obrazu analizowanego procesu. W niniejszym artykule zaprezentowano algorytm amplitudowo-fazowej aproksymacji sygnałów pomiarowych wykorzystywanej do tworzenia trójwymiarowych obrazów drgań względnych wału maszyny wirnikowej w nieustalonych warunkach jej pracy.
    In many cases of phenomena observation (especially dynamical phenomena) we have data acquired with different resolutions - for example in time and space domain. For processing and computing of these data a different solutions of interpolation and/or approximation are often used. Data having phase-amplitude nature should be treated in a special way of data processing. The lack of proper interpretation of phase translations in many cases can result in obtaining the significant distortions of analysed process pattern. In this paper the algorithm of phase-amplitude approximation has been presented. This algorithm is used for creating the three dimensions patterns of rotating machine shaft vibrations, in transient state of machine work.

    Opis:
    Identification of a shape of a boundary belongs to a very interesting part of boundary problems called inverse problems. Various methods were used to solve these problems. Therefore in practice, there are two well-known methods widely applied to solve the problem: the FEM and the BEM. In this paper a competitive meshless and more effective method - the PIES combined with artificial intelligence (AI) methods is applied to solve the shape inverse problems. The aim of the paper is an examination of two popular AI algorithms (genetic algorithms and artificial immune systems) in identification of the shape of the boundary.
    Identyfikacja kształtu brzegu należy do bardzo interesującej grupy zagadnień brzegowych nazywanej zagadnieniami odwrotnymi. Istnieje liczna grupa metod służących rozwiązywaniu takich problemów. Jednakże w praktyce do rozwiązywania zagadnień odwrotnych szeroko wykorzystywane są dwie metody: MES i MEB. W niniejszej pracy zaproponowano zastosowanie alternatywnej bezelementowej i bardziej efektywnej metody - PURC połączonej z algorytmami sztucznej inteligencji (SI) do identyfikacji kształtu brzegu. Celem pracy jest zbadanie efektywności dwóch popularnych algorytmów SI (algorytmów genetycznych i sztucznych systemów immunologicznych) w identyfikacji kształtu brzegu.

    The paper presents experimental results on offline signature identification and verification. At the first stage of the presented system, the binary image of the signature undergoes skeletonization process using KMM algorithm to have a thinned, one pixel-wide line, to which a further reduction is applied. For each thinned signature image a fixed number of points comprising the skeleton line are selected. The recognition process is based on comparing the reference signatures with the questioned samples using distance measure computed by means of Shape Context algorithm. The experiments were carried out using a database containing signatures of 20 individuals. For the verification process random forgeries were used to asses the system error. The main advantage of the presented approach lies in utilizing only one reference signature for both identification and verification tasks, whereas the achieved results are comparable with respect to the systems that use several training samples per subject.

    This article presents methods of identification of dynamics characteristics of chain saws. These methods can be successfully used in the process of identification of resonant frequencies and visualisation of ODS of chain saws. Vibration measurements were done using Laser Doppler Vibrometry. Some examples of identification of dynamics characteristics of chain saws and their operational deflection shapes are presented below.
    Przedstawiono wyniki badań charakterystyki dynamicznej pilarki łańcuchowej. Pomiarów wibracji dokonano z wykorzystaniem techniki laserowej. Przeprowadzono analizę modalną układu. Zaprezentowano przykłady ODS (Operational Deflection Shapers) prowadnicy pilarki łańcuchowej.

    This paper presents an approach to identify apparel silhouettes. A feature region of the human face was first proposed for conducting face detection in fashion pictures with the AdaBoost method, and the head was then located with its positional relation to the facial feature region. The linear relationship between the ratio of the body height to head length and the length of the lower body was ensured by restricting the RBH to a specific range. Under this condition, the apparelled body was divided into several parts, and the boundary of apparel on the lower body was determined considering the influence of the hemline. Based on the widths of the body parts and the apparel on the lower body, shape factors were established to express the extent to which the apparel silhouette approached a certain shape. A computer program was developed for implementation and demonstrated high accuracy in silhouette identification of an appareled body.
    Przedstawiono próbę identyfikacji sylwetki ubranego modelu. Opracowano system właściwości charakteryzujących twarz człowieka dla możliwości dalszego wyodrębnienia twarzy ze zdjęć modeli. Zastosowano metodę AdaBoost. Umożliwiło to usytuowanie głowy w stosunku do innych elementów ubioru. Zidentyfikowano liniowe zależności pomiędzy wysokościami całości sylwetki, jej dolnej części, i głowy. Na tej podstawie ubrana sylwetka człowieka była dzielona na szereg części i określano granice ubioru w stosunku do dolnej części sylwetki, uwzględniając wpływ dolnej krawędzi ubioru. Opierając się na szerokościach poszczególnych części ciała człowieka i ubioru dolnej części sylwetki, ustalono czynniki kształtu dla możliwości kwalifikacji sylwetki do odpowiedniego typu. Opracowano program komputerowy umożliwiający dużą dokładność identyfikacji sylwetki ubranego modelu.

    W artykule przedstawiono podsumowanie kilkuletnich badań nad zastosowaniem mobilnych pomiarów satelitarnych w projektowaniu i eksploatacji dróg szynowych. Mobilne pomiary satelitarne polegają na objeździe trasy pojazdem szynowym z doczepionymi wagonami-platformami lub wózkami dwuosiowymi, na których zainstalowano odbiorniki GNSS (ang. Global Navigation Satellite System). Opisano przyjętą metodykę badawczą oraz przebieg pomiarów przeprowadzonych w torze kolejowym i tramwajowym. Podjęto kwestię dokładności pomiarów satelitarnych. Wykazano, że aktualnie optymalnym rozwiązaniem – zapewniającym maksymalną dokładność wyznaczenia współrzędnych GNSS podczas badań inwentaryzacyjnych tras szynowych – jest wykorzystanie dwusystemowej satelitarnej sieci geodezyjnej GPS / GLONASS (odpowiednio ang. Global Positioning System i ros. GLObalnaja NAwigacionnaja SiStema). Jednocześnie wskazano, że wyznaczenie współrzędnych istniejącej trasy w państwowym układzie odniesień przestrzennych 2000 technikami GNSS prowadzi do konieczności weryfikacji dotychczasowej metodyki projektowania. W artykule przedstawiono założenia nowej metody projektowania układów geometrycznych toru, dostosowanej do techniki pomiarów satelitarnych, w której rozwiązanie problemu projektowego polega na wyznaczeniu uniwersalnych równań opisujących całość układu geometrycznego. Znajomość współrzędnych pozwala również na identyfikację kształtu geometrycznego istniejącego toru. Opisano moduły opracowanego programu komputerowego SATTRACK do wizualizacji, oceny i projektowania trasy kolejowej, obejmujące wizualizację przebiegu trasy kolejowej, ocenę odcinków prostych trasy, tworzenie poligonu kierunków głównych, ocenę odcinków trasy położonych w łuku oraz określanie kształtu osi eksploatowanego toru kolejowego. Scharakteryzowano również problem oceny efektów regulacji osi toru.
    The article presents a summary of several years research of mobile satellite measurements in designing and exploitation of railway lines. Mobile satellite measurements consist of crossing railway and tram routes with a power car and outboard cars or two-axle boogies, on the top of them GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) receivers are installed. The adopted research methodology and the measurements carried out in the rail and tram track are described. The accuracy of satellite measurements is also the issue of the analysis. It was proven that the optimal solution with maximum accuracy of determining the coordinates GNSS during the inventory of railway routes is currently the use of the Global Positioning System (in Russian: GLObalnajaNAwigacionnajaSiStema). Simultaneously, it is noted that the determination of the existing routes coordinates in the national reference system 2000 with the use of GNSS techniques leads to the need of verifying the existing designing methodology. The paper presents an assumptions of a new method of railway geometrical layout designing adapted to the techniques of satellite measurements. To resolve the designing issue, the universal system of equations describing the entire geometrical layout is determined. Furthermore, the identification of the geometrical layout of the existing track is enabled by the knowledge of the coordinates. The modules of ongoing software SATTRACK are described. This computer program is made to visualize, assess and design the railway layout. Moreover, it includes visualization of railway route planning, the evaluation of track straight sections, creating a major a polygon directions, evaluation of curved sections and the determination of the exploited railway track axis shape. The assessment of the railway track axis regulation effects are also a subject of the paper.

    W artykule omówiono prace badawcze, których celem jest analiza możliwości identyfikacji elementów taboru kolejowego z wykorzystaniem dostępnych na rynku dalmierzy laserowych. Identyfikacja jest realizowana metodą oceny kształtu i rozmiarów poruszających się obiektów. Zdolność rozpoznawania wybranych obiektów, w szczególności elementów taboru oraz przewożonych ładunków, a także ich usytuowania przestrzennego, stanowi istotny czynnik umożliwiający dokładne i skuteczne pozycjonowanie pojazdów (szczególnie na stacjach i bocznicach), zwiększający bezpieczeństwo oraz efektywność przewozów kolejowych.
    Paper discussed the problem of rolling stock elements identification and recognition of loads. For evaluation of the object shape and position, in the tests are used laser sensors such as mid-range distance sensors, automation light grids and 2D laser measurement sensors. For the creation of digital models of the studied objects and their subsequent identification there was developed a computer application working in Matlab programming environment. Typologization of models of rolling stock elements accelerate calculations and increase the effectiveness of the conducted identification.

    Opis:
    The paper considers some control problems for the systems described by the evolution, as well as the stationary hemivariational inequalities (HVIs for short). First, basing on surjectivity theorems for pseudo-monotone operators we formulate some existence results for the solutions of the HVIs and investigate some properties of the solution set (like sensitivity; i.e. its dependence on data and operators). Next we quote some existence theorems for optimal solutions for various classes of optimal control like distributed control (e.g. Bolza problem), identification of parameters, or optimal shape design for systems described by HVIs. Finally, we discuss some common features in getting the existence of optimal solutions as well as some "well-posedness" problems.
