    Opis:
    W artykule opisano techniki steganografii cyfrowej służące do ukrywania informacji w plikach obrazowych i dźwiękowych. Porównano najważniejsze cechy wpływające na bezpieczeństwo oraz praktyczne wykorzystanie tych metod. Przedstawione algorytmy znajdują zastosowanie przede wszystkim w tajnej komunikacji. Wskazano jednak na potencjał łączenia steganografii z kryptografią i innymi metodami ochrony danych.
    Information security plays significant role in personal and business data exchange. Digital steganography is appropriate solution in the case where undetectability of communication is required. This paper presents selected methods of image and audio steganography. First, the general schema of steganographic system and its most important properties are outlined. Next section, which describes image steganography techniques, is split into algorithms hiding data in particular pixels and in image colour palettes. This categorization is determined by file format, e.g. palettes are present only in indexed images. Audio steganography section contains a detailed description of methods dedicated to embedding data in audio samples or file structure. In the summary the main features of selected algorithms are compared to show differences in security level, usefulness and complexity of implementation. Steganography has many practical applications and can be used with cryptography or separately. The paper suggests possible directions of future studies, including combining steganography with biometric techniques in order to provide additional layer of data protection.

    Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja i analiza podstawowych problemów prawnych związanych z ochroną dobra osobistego, jakim jest tajemnica korespondencji w dobie nowoczesnych technologii. Obecnie cywilnoprawna ochrona tajemnicy korespondencji rozpatrywana jest w relacji do tajemnicy komunikowania się. Szereg nowych kwestii prawnych dostrzega doktryna i judykatura, które w sytuacji braku normatywnych pojęć o charakterze elementarnym spełniają istotną rolę w sferze ochrony tajemnicy korespondencji. W rozważaniach wykorzystano klasyczną metodę badań stosowaną w pracach prawniczych, czyli metodę dogmatyczną. Analiza przepisów prawnych, poglądów doktryny i stanowiska judykatury pozwoliły ukazać rodzaj naruszeń tajemnicy korespondencji, określić kierunki optymalnej ochrony tego dobra osobistego. Tak, jak w przypadku innych dóbr osobistych rośnie znaczenie majątkowych sposobów ochrony. Obecnie podstawowym środkiem ochrony tajemnicy korespondencji jest zadośćuczynienie, chociaż korzysta się także ze środków ochrony niemajątkowej. Społeczeństwa wysoko ceniące konsumpcyjny tryb życia uznają, że środki majątkowe mogą prowadzić do złagodzenia dolegliwości wynikających z naruszenia wartości niemajątkowych ściśle związanych z człowiekiem i jego godnością.
    The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze the basic legal issues related to the protection of personal good, which is secret of correspondence in the era of modern technologies. Presently, the civil law protection of secret of correspondence is considered in relation to secret of communication. Doctrine and jurisprudence perceive a number of new legal issues, which play an important role in the protection of secret of correspondence in the absence of normative concepts of elementary nature. In the discussion was used the classical method of research in legal works, the dogmatic method. The analysis of the legal provisions, views of doctrine and judiciary, allowed to present the nature of the breach of the secret of correspondence, and to determine the direction of the optimal protection of this personal good. The importance of property protection is growing the same as in case of other personal goods. Currently, the basic mean of protecting secret of correspondence is compensation, although it is also possible to take non-property protection measures. Societies highly appreciating the consumer lifestyle deem that property protection measures can lead to mitigation of ailments resulting from violations of non-property values closely related to humanity and dignity

    Opis:
    Drinking fresh water, turning the lights on, travelling by tram, calling our family, or getting a medical treatment are usual activities, but the underlying SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems like CIS (Critical Infrastructure Systems), ICS (Industrial Control Systems) or DCS (Distributed Control Systems) were always the target of many types of attacks, endangered the above mentioned simple activities. During the last decades because of the fast spread of the internet based services and the continuous technical development these systems become more vulnerable than ever. Full reconstruction and innovative changes in older SCADA systems has high cost, and it is not always rewarding. Communication protocols as Modbus (1979) serve as a main basis for SCADA systems, so security of Modbus has a major impact of the security of SCADA systems. Our paper raises and answers questions about the security of the Modbus RTU protocol. We focus on the serial Modbus protocol, because in that method we found many unsolved problems, like lack of authentication of the participants, lack of secure channel and so on. The aim of this paper to propose a secure communication alternative for Modbus RTU @ RS485 wire. The main advantage of the proposed method is the coexistence with traditional slaves and bus systems and only software update is necessary.

    The secret of correspondence is a very important rights and freedoms. It is guaranteed in acts of international law and by the provisions of the Polish Constitution. In the system of Polish law, constitutional norms specify the provisions of civil law, concerning personal rights, copyright and criminal law. The term correspondence should be understood broadly in the present relations and not limited only to traditional paper letters.
