Opis:
In recent years, the problem of methods of education in values of tolerance to difference is subject to increased public attention at the EU level. However, even a sparse reading of the Bulgarian primers and readers shows that the first meeting of children with what is officially “normal” in the social world excludes the “different” people. The main objective of the project “To Educate a Xenophobe” (2015-2016) implemented by the Bulgarian NGO Political Science Center in collaboration with Institute for Creative Civil Strategies was to address the absence of systematic orientation to the initial stage of education as crucial for assimilating a tolerant attitude towards the different people in society. The project aimed to increase public attention and initiate a constructive dialogue with Bulgarian decision makers and stakeholders on the need for conducting reforms in state education requirements and legislation via a package of analyses, surveys and in-depth interviews.

Opis:
A simple analytical expression for the work function is derived on the basis of nonlocal potential and the nearest neighbor approximation (NNA). It allows to establish a direct connection between the ionization energy of atoms and their corresponding metallic crystal (work function). In consequence we can determine the screening parameter for alkali metals.
Na podstawie nielokalnego potencjału oraz przybliżenia najbliższego sąsiada (NNA) uzyskujemy proste analityczne wyrażenie na pracę wyjścia. Pozwala ono ustalić bezpośrednią relację pomiędzy energią jonizacji atomu a odpowiadającą jej dla sieci krystalicznej pracą wyjścia. W rezultacie możemy wyznaczyć parametr ekranowania dla metali alkaicznych.

Introduction and aim. Nursing fields begin to face a wide variety of challenges when they first enter clinical practice. The aim of this study is to determine the difficulties experienced in patient communication by nursing students taking the clinical practice course for the first time. Material and methods. Focus group interview design was used for this study. Focus group design is used to give information about the opinions and experiences of the sample group on any subject. It is reported as a convenient design to identify different perspectives on a subject within the scope of the sample. Focus group interviews are a widely used method as data collection technique. Results. The findings of the study continue on 4 main themes at level 3, by identifying the similarities and differences in the codes determined by the three experts (researchers consulted and the researcher conducting/reporting the study). The findings of the study were evaluated in comparison with the findings of the studies reached in the literature and conducted in regions such as Israel, Iran, Sri-Lanka, Kenya, and Africa. Conclusion. There are many problems in student-patient communication in many different dimensions. The difficulties arising due to these problems generally focus on unknown clinical environment, lack of knowledge, differences between theory and practice, and mentor interaction.

The incidence of stroke in the Czech Republic is increasing. Approximately one-third of people after stroke develop aphasia, manifesting various symptoms in speech production, understanding, reading and writing. In acute stage of disease, screening tools are used to detect aphasia. The aim of this article is to present and describe Afaziologický screeningový test (ASTcz) to determine the presence or absence of aphasia. This Czech version is an adaptation of the original German Aphasie-Schnell-Test. In the process of validating the adapted instrument, persons without aphasia and persons with aphasia in acute and chronic stages of the disease were tested. The results of testing the psychometric properties of the test (i.e. validity, reliability and discriminatory ability) are described and commented on. They indicate a very good applicability for clinical practice.

International experience has shown that external hazards (e.g. aircraft crash, flooding) can be safety significant contributors to the risk in case of nuclear power plants` operation. This is due to the fact that such hazards have the potential to reduce simultaneously the level of redundancy by damaging redundant systems or their supporting systems. In this paper, the procedure for the external hazard aircraft crash is described In more detail, starting with the screening procedure in order to determine scope and content of the assessment and the approach for those cases where a full scope analysis has to be performed. The consideration regarding this hazard does as not cover an intended aircraft crash.

The existing regulations impose the obligation to perform random cabin baggage security screening for the presence of traces of explosives (explosive trace detection, ETD) at airports. As a result, a problem arises in relation to the proper organization of security screening checkpoints and the provision of telematic devices used to facilitate the process. The study considered three options a) a dedicated ETD checkpoint, b) ETD screening in all security checkpoints, c) equipping all checkpoints with an explosive detection system (EDS). The purpose of the paper is to propose a mathematical model and conduct a practical evaluation of options concerning security checkpoint modernization in terms of the following criteria: capacity, cost, and efficiency of detecting prohibited substances. An independent evaluation was conducted on the basis of the criteria, considering the analysis of the actual inflow of baggage in individual security checkpoints and the annual costs of equipment and staff, while the efficiency of screening was subjectively evaluated by experts. The proposed mathematical model and the established calculation tool were used to evaluate the options of security checkpoint organization at Katowice Airport. As a result of the conducted analysis, option c) was recommended. This solution showed the best results in terms of capacity and efficiency and generated medium costs.

In the business world, it is generally observed that the supplier gives a cash discount due to advance payment. The buyer may either pay off the total purchase cost or a fraction of the total purchase cost before receiving the products. If the buyer makes full payment then he receives a cash discount instantly. If the buyer pays a fraction of the total purchase cost, then (s)he receives the cash discount while paying the remaining amount at the time of receiving the lot. Moreover, in most of the inventory models, it is generally assumed that the delivered lot contains only perfect items. But in reality, the presence of imperfect items in the received lot cannot be overlooked as it will affect the total profit of the system. Thus, the study of inventory models considering the presence of imperfect items in the lot makes the model more realistic and it has received much attention from inventory managers. This paper develops a model that jointly considers imperfect quality items and the concept of an advance payment scheme (full and partial). The objective is to determine optimal ordering quantity to maximise the total profit of the system. The necessary theoretical results showing the existence of global maximum is derived. The model is illustrated with the help of numerical examples, and sensitivity analysis is carried out on some important system parameters to see the effects on the total profit of the system. The study shows that a full advance payment scheme is beneficial for the buyer.

W artykule przedstawiono analizy akustyczne hałasu komunikacyjnego emitowanego do środowiska, spowodowanego tymczasową lokalizacją małej pętli autobusów miejskich. Wykonana analiza stanowi materiał umożliwiający wybór rozwiązania pozwalającego ograniczyć poziomy imisji hałasu dla wielorodzinnego budynku mieszkaniowego, a następnie ocenić zaproponowane rozwiązania pod względem ich skuteczności i kosztów realizacji. Mając na uwadze omówione wyniki analizy akustycznej, tymczasowość sytuacji, porównywalne efekty redukcji hałasu przy zastosowaniu ekranów akustycznych i reorganizacji ruchu, sugeruje się podjęcie działań organizacyjnych.
The paper presents acoustic analyses of the traffic noise emitted in the environment, caused by temporary location of a small bus loop. The whole process of the bus terminal activity was thoroughly analysed, considering especially the intensity of vehicle traffic, the structural type of vehicles (including heavy vehicles), the maneuvers within the routes and also the management of the analysed area. The analysis enables the choice of the most suitable solution by which the noise level immission - considering a multifamily house, Fig. 1 - may be reduced. It also enables the assessment of suggested solutions considering their effectiveness and the cost of realisation. In the calculations there were considered: the possibility of acoustic screening of the building, the possibility of the changes in the present schedule of bus traffic on both arrivals and departures sites and also on the manoeuvring site. Taking into account the acoustic analysis results, the temporariness of the situation, comparable effects of noise reduction by building acoustic screen and traffic reorganisation, some reorganisation measures/steps are suggested.

The paper presents calculation models used for vibration parameters determination of any point of a yibrating screen riddle with circular vibrations and the driving shaft displaced in relation to the screen centre of gravity to the norma) direction and the one parallel to the screen tray. The simulation effects and results of experimenta] tests' verification arę presented. A simulation program enabling the vibrations trajectory forecasting in screens of that type is a!so shown.

The paper contains the results of investigation on application of thin layer chromatography (TLC) for determination of opiates and cannabinols. The rules of separation of components contained in extracts of Cannabis and the preparations of opiates were specified. The rules of identification and marks of contains in them psychotropic substances were also specified. Detection limit and errors of the method were estimated. Propose analytical solutions were verified during an analysis of commercial samples of opiates and measurements of contents ∆⁹-THC in Cannabis.

The main aim of the paper was a comparison of various mobile and fixed (stationary) circuits with the material recycle stream (closed) and without it (open circuits) applied in production of mineral aggregates from different rock raw materials. In the second chapter there was presented a detailed analysis of following chosen circuits: mobile circuit with an impact crusher producing lime aggregates (Fig. 1), mobile circuit with a jaw crusher cooperating with a fixed three-stage circuit applied in quartz aggregate production (Fig. 2 and 3) and fixed two-stage circuits with impact and cone crusher, producing dolomit aggregates (Fig. 4a, b and c). The circuits mentioned the above were characterized with using of simplified schemes.In Chapter three a work analysis of nine circuits was made on the basis of collected data and calculated indices (Table 6). Following indices were taken into consideration: fuel and energy consumption costs, unit energy consumption, maximum size reduction ratios, and the index which is the product of energy consumption and maximum size reduction ratio at single comminution of 1 tonne of feed. It was concluded that the most appropriate method of comparison of different devices is presentation of energy consumption values in joule units. When analyzing the mineral aggregates production processes in the above circuits it was concluded (Chapter three and four) that the application of multi-stage comminution and classification circuits, especially with material recirculation streams, is the most favourable in terms of the energy consumption. The most favourable installation appeared the two-stages closed circuit with shaft impactors and hammer mills with screens (Fig. 4c). It was emphasized that application of circuits with the material recirculation enables the control of comminution process run through re-crushing of the screening oversize product which leads to better quality aggregates. The article also highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of mobile and fixed comminution circuits. Słowa kluczowe
