The purpose of this paper is to study the management systems of quality, cost, and deadlines during the environment friendly transition process. Some 102 companies operating in the aeronautics industry in Morocco were surveyed during the period of May 2019 to December 2019. The results showed that about nearly 80% to 96% of the companies confirmed having effective systems for monitoring and improving quality, cost management, and respect for deadlines. But, unfortunately, below 80% of these companies are respecting the environment. The environment is considered as a constraint, and its respect is mainly related to the requirements of standards, certifications and laws Therefore, we find a great shortfall of these Moroccan companies when it comes to respect the environment. The analysis of the results reveals that some indicators imply the desire and predisposition of these companies to go beyond the classic concept of the logistics triptych quality/cost/time to a whole new concept: quality/cost/delay/environment.

The aim of this essay is to demonstrate the idea of religious gerontology in the light of the Judeo-Christian tradition, which is the base for “Letter of his holiness Pope John Paul II to the elderly” (1999). Such a specified research perspective tends to show understanding of old age and the place of the elderly within that tradition as well as to work out the efficacy of the religious view in current discussions on matters of old age. This research perspective also intends to provide help for critical analysis of all stereotypes which depreciate the greatness of old age in postmodern societies. The entire reflection comprises the following elements: the temporal and historical plane of human existence, human dignity, talents and hopes of the elderly, practical and eschatological implications of the Judeo-Christian religious gerontology.

The term respect is frequently used in ordinary communication however it also has a significant role in philosophical discussions focused on environmental ethics. This essay deals with the ambiguity of the term respect. The author analyzes respect from a philosophical point of view claiming that several possible interpretations of what the word respect means and what standards of behavior to which it is to be related. It is pointed out that the issue of whether respect should be understood as an attitude or behavior. The author highlights the problem of constraints imposed by respect and the relation of respect to intrinsic and instrumental value. The approach is analyzed also from the point of view of Kant’s ethics, nevertheless the author examines it also from the standpoints of various contemporary environmental ethicists (e.g. Taylor, Goodpaster, Katz, Lo). However, author concludes that understanding respect as a virtue appears to be a most promising approach in contemporary environmental ethics because it can solve the problem of finding balanced interpretation of respect.

The author proposes a set of possible objections and amendments to the notion of transhumanism that can be made from the standpoint of environmental ethics. The transhumanist movement, as it is developed by such researchers as Nick Bostrom, Ingmar Persson, Julian or Savulescu, is devoted to identifying the best ways and measures of utilizing the scientific knowledge of human biology in order to allow people overcoming the limits of their current biological condition. However, such project raises several moral, ethical, political, and economical issues. It is worthwhile – in the author’s opinion – to broaden the discussion over transhumanism by including environmental issues, raised by such thinkers as Aldo Leopold or Paul W. Taylor. The author argues for a radical concept of enhancement – in opposition to Nicholas Agar’s “moderate enhancement”. The author believes that by introducing the Taylorian concept of “respect for nature”, it is possible to ameliorate the transhumanist program by – on one hand – identifying its possible shortcomings, but also by ensuring the care or the best possible ecological conditions for future generations.

The article analyze selected stock indices that can be used as an instrument adapted for measuring the impact of socially responsible policy on the value of the company. Therefore, it was decided to choose three stock indices for analysis – recorded in London FTSE4Good, New York’s Dow Jones Sustainability Index and running since 2009 on The Warsaw Stock Exchange RESPECT Index. The last of these examples is, so far, the only index of this type operating in Central and Eastern Europe. Due to the availability of materials and the local nature of this index it has been described in details.

Liking and respect are postulated as two dimensions of interpersonal attitudes. Liking-disliking is an idiosyncratic response which depends mostly on how target persons influence interests and well-being of the attitude holder and is accompanied by beliefs in their communal traits. Respect-disrespect is a socially shared response which depends mostly on the social status of target persons and is accompanied by beliefs in their agency. This Self-interest /Status Model (SSM) of differences between liking and respect was tested in two studies. It was predicted and found that respect responses (and underlying judgments of agentic traits) are socially shared to higher extent than liking responses (and underlying judgments of communal traits).

Esta sentencia del Tribunal de la Rota de la Nunciatura Apostólica confirma una sentencia de nulidad matrimonial por causa del miedo grave y externamente inferido (temor reverencial). En los tribunales eclesiásticos unos 10% de los procesos matrimoniales se tramita por causa del miedo grave. En esta sentencia el ponente estudia los diversos aspectos de este vicio del consentimiento matrimonial como la gravedad, su carácter extrínseco e indeclinable, la antecedencia a la prestación del consentimiento. Esta sentencia puede resultar muy interesante para conocer la relación que existe entre la operatividad de la amenaza y la reactividad de la perturbación psíquica subsiguiente.

Artykuł podejmuje temat rozumienia tolerancji i postaw społecznych wobec zjawisk uznawanych za „inne” lub „obce”. Próba zdefiniowania terminu oraz zasygnalizowania nieścisłości w jego interpretacji została przeprowadzona na przykładzie wybranych problemów współczesnego społeczeństwa. Poddano analizie podziały dotyczące między innymi sytuacji mniejszości seksualnych, Kościoła katolickiego oraz pandemii koronawirusa. Głównym celem artykułu jest zachęcenie do podjęcia krytycznej autorefleksji i propagowanie właściwych postaw tolerancyjnych. Zauważono bowiem, że samo manifestowanie poglądów przy pomocy haseł nie jest jeszcze równoznaczne z aktywnym działaniem. Zwiększenie świadomości społecznej na ten temat może przyczynić się do budowania empatycznego i życzliwego porozumienia, a także rozważnego dialogu ponad podziałami. Każdy człowiek niezależnie od głoszonych poglądów, pochodzenia czy wyznania zasługuje na szacunek i akceptację.
The article deals with the understanding of tolerance and social attitudes towards phenomena considered “other” or “foreign”. An attempt to define the term and signal inaccuracies in its interpretation was carried out through a case study of selected problems of modern society. The divisions concerning, among others, the situation of sexual minorities, the Catholic Church and the coronavirus pandemic. The main aim of the article is to encourage critical self-reflection and to promote proper tolerant attitudes. It has been noticed that the mere manifestation of views with the use of slogans is not tantamount to active action. Increasing social awareness on this subject can contribute to building empathetic and kind understanding, as well as a deliberate dialogue across divisions. Every person, regardless of their views, origin or religion, deserves respect and approval.

The last few years have seen the return of athlete activism into major international sports events held worldwide as a mindset based on social responsibility and political freedom of speech has spread into the selfperception of many current top athletes. However, while these athletes may have experienced a recent personal transformation, the national political backlash accompanying activism remains set in a long tradition condemning political interference in sports. This article provides a background on the tradition of castigating political athlete activists, a theory on why and how national political backlash occurs, and evidence on the successful use of gentle activism to avoid such scenarios. The research examines a case study of Polish international footballer Robert Lewandowski’s ‘pointing the finger’ during a World Cup qualifier in 2022 to illustrate how alternative moderate forms of activism can be adopted. This study aims to introduce the term ‘overactivism’ into the politics of sport as a concept where the athlete prioritises retaining long-term political relevancy over maximising the political impact of a single event.
W ciągu ostatnich kilku lat odnowił się trend aktywistyczny na niwie sportowej manifestowany na najważniejszych międzynarodowych imprezach sportowych na całym świecie, a postawa oparta na odpowiedzialności społecznej i politycznej wolności słowa stała się elementem tożsamości własnej wśród wielu czołowych sportowców. Jakkolwiek sportowcy mogli niedawno doświadczyć osobistej transformacji, towarzyszącej aktywizmowi, ataki polityczne w kręgach krajowych pozostają osadzone w długiej tradycji braku przyzwolenia dla ingerencji sportowców w świat polityki. W niniejszym artykule omówiono korzenie, z których wyrasta tradycja piętnowania sportowców angażujących się w aktywizm polityczny, przedstawiono teorię, dlaczego i w jakiej formie sportowców tych spotykają ostre ataki polityczne w reprezentowanym przez nich kraju, jak również pokazano, że wybór łagodnych form wyrazu aktywizmu pozwala skutecznie uniknąć powyższych scenariuszy. W badaniu przeanalizowano studium przypadku polskiego piłkarza Roberta Lewandowskiego „wskazującego palcem” podczas eliminacji do Mistrzostw Świata w 2022 roku. Przykład Lewandowskiego posłużył jako ilustracja alternatywnych, umiarkowanych środków uprawiania aktywizmu. Celem niniejszego badania jest wprowadzenie terminu „przesadnego aktywizmu/ przerostu formy nad treścią w aktywizmie” do dziedziny polityki sportu w kontekście decyzji sportowców, by przedłożyć utrzymanie długofalowej pozycji politycznej nad uzyskanie maksymalnego efektu politycznego w następstwie pojedynczego wydarzenia.

Artykuł ma na celu omówienie zagadnień etycznych, które powinny stać się podstawą dobrych relacji między lekarzem a pacjentem . Rozważania oparte są na pracach opisanych w Europejskiej Karcie Pracowników Służby Zdrowia opracowanej z inicjatywy Papieskiej Rady Duszpasterstwa Pracowników Służby Zdrowia i zatwierdzonej przez Kongregację Nauki Wiary. W artykule podjęto próbę przedstawienia postawy lekarza wobec palących problemów prenatalnym okresie życia ludzkiego, a także problemy dorosłych i osób starszych . Kwestie etyczne, takie jak nienaruszalne prawo do życia i szacunek dla ludzkiego życia, wydają się być ważne i uzasadnione w czasach komercjalizacji i szybkiego rozwoju usług medycznych, które tym samym potrzebują dalszej dogłębnej analizy.
This article aims at discussing ethical issues which should underlie a good relationship between a physician and a patient. Reflections are based on the theses described in the The Charter for Health Care Workers developed on the initiative of the Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of Health Care Workers and approved by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The paper attempts to present the physician's attitudes towards the pressing problems of prenatal period of human life as well as adulthood and the elderly. Ethical issues, such as the inviolable right to life and utmost respect for human life, seem to be valid and justifiable in times of commercialization and fast development of medical services, and thus need further thorough analysis.

The family is a community that receives the mission of guarding, showing and transmitting love that is a living reflection and real spreading of God’s love. In his Letter to the elderly John Paul II points to a particular role and to the need of experiencing love in the family by the old. This love is a requirement both of the commandment to love and of the fourth commandment “honor thy mother and thy father”, and it expresses the triple duty that the younger generation has to the older one, that is: acceptance of elderly people, help they expect and need, and appreciating their advantages. Such an attitude is one of the ways to build “the civilization of love” the world needs so much today.

Coraz częściej podejmuje się inicjatywy, których celem jest zwrócenie społeczeństwu uwagi na starszą część populacji. W ten nurt wpisuje się także działalność katechetyczna Kościoła. Na katechezie podejmuje się bowiem problematykę starości i tak formuje uczniów, by szanowali osoby starsze, otoczyli je należną troską, a także zrozumieli i zaakceptowali ich sytuację życiową oraz potrzeby. Pomocą w realizacji tych zadań służą podręczniki do nauki religii, między innymi podręczniki z serii Drogi świadków Chrystusa. Podkreślają one istotną rolę starszej generacji w rodzinie i społeczeństwie i wzywają młodzież do odpowiedniego ich traktowania w duchu humanizmu i chrześcijańskiej miłości.
More and more frequently initiatives aiming at paying society attention to the older people have been taken up. Church catechetical activity also writes itself into this course. During catechesis the old age issues are dealt with and pupils are educated this way so that they respect elderly people, take care of them properly as well as understand and accept their life conditions and needs. Textbooks for teaching religion, e. g. books like "The ways of Christ's witnesses" series, play supportive role in the realization of mentioned tasks. These handbooks underline the crucial way of elderly people generation in family and society calling the youth to proper treating them in the spirit of humanism and christian love.
Più spesso si impegna nelle iniziative che richiamano l’attenzione dell’opinione pubblica alla parte più anziana della popolazione. Questa tendenza è presente anche nell’attività catechistica della Chiesa. La catechesi prende, infatti, i problemi della vecchiaia, e forma gli studenti così che loro possano rispettare gli anziani, dargli le dovute cure e comprendere ed accettare la loro situazione di vita e le loro esigenze. A tal scopo aiutano libri per l’insegnamento della religione, tra gli altri quelli di Vie dei testimoni del Cristo. Essi sottolineano il ruolo importante degli anziani nella famiglia e nella società e invitano i giovani di appropriarsi il loro trattamento nello spirito dell’umanesimo e dell’amore cristiano.

According to the contemporary theory by Howard Gardner (2009: 26), despite the fact that the school curricula aim at European and global standardization, they do not prepare learners to living in the version of the future world that approaches us. Therefore, we should introduce new ways of teaching, since the current methods have proved to be ineffective. We should also establish new objectives as well as forming novel paths in education, new means of thinking and gaining knowledge, while keeping in mind the demands that the new world imposes on us. Gardner (ibid.) emphasizes the necessity of studying more than one discipline, apart from specializing in one field, in addition to developing the ability to integrate information, the need for creativity, treating others with respect and consolidating the ethos. The requirement underlying the fulfillment of these goals lies within our cognitive skills and relies on the enhancement of five minds: interdisciplinary, integrative, creative, respectful, and ethical. A reflection comes to mind then as to the necessity to gradually build up awareness in learners in order to achieve these objectives and enable them to excel in developing the five minds. Therefore, the Author refers to many methodologists and psycholinguists, who present various aspects accompanying the process of consciously instilling the need for the development of the five minds.

The RESPECT Index (RI) is the first index of socially responsible companies in Central and Eastern Europe and has been operating in Poland since 2009. In accordance with its philosophy, the RI includes listed companies showing the highest standards of quality in corporate governance and information governance regarding their impacts on the natural environment, society, and employees. Do the non-financial reports of these companies confirm that they meet these standards? This article attempts to answer that question, which aim can also be described as the qualitative assessment of the non-financial reports of the largest listed Polish companies in the RESPECT Index, with particular emphasis on analyzing the structure and content of the companies’ non-financial information disclosures. In order to achieve this goal, the paper first defines non-financial information and its usefulness to stakeholders in modern enterprises. Secondly, the paper discusses problematic aspects of non-financial reporting. And the third part of the paper is a qualitative analysis of the non-financial reports of 12 out of the 31 Polish companies in the RESPECT Index. Finally conclusions are that the research conducted confirmed a wide variety of these companies’ disclosures, and on the other hand, exposed some deficiencies in published reports, including their narrative character, limited comparability across time and space, and lack of external verification. All this shows that it is not enough to be a socially responsible company; you must also report this activity skillfully. This study used the following research methods: literature review, analysis of legal regulations, desk research, and inductive and synthetic reasoning strategies, in order to formulate conclusions.
