Opis:
Results of Mössbauer and EPR study of a univalent-iron phthalocyanine complex (FeIPc) are presented in this paper. FeIPc has been obtained from FeIIPc by the chemical reduction method in tetrahydrofuran (THF) and dimethoxyethan (DME) solutions. Like in the case of FeI-porphyrin complexes, Mössbauer and EPR data as well as quantum calculations of electronic absorption spectra confirm in this case a low-spin configuration of FeI ions with an unpaired electron located at dz2 orbital. Interaction between FeIPc and THF molecules does not change significantly the electron configuration of FeI ions coordinated to phthalocyanine ligand.

Opis:
Process of heat exchange in a rotary furnace during converter slag reduction was modelled.Temperature distribution in the furnace and temperature of the charge (slag) only were examined. Influence of modification of the process gas supply method by changing the number of nozzles on the course of the reduction process was analyzed. It has been found out that application of a nozzle as a submerged flame burner provides possibilities to reach higher charge temperature. Application of more nozzles in the process of converter slag reduction can increase temperature of reduced slag and provide better uniformity of charge heating.

In this study influence of selected parameters on the process of reduction of converter slag from refining of Cu-Pb-Fe alloy was numerically examined. The process of the slag reduction is carried out in Q 80 converters of Hoboken type for copper removal. Converter slags show high concentration of lead therefore they can be seen as an important component for further processing in rotary-rocking furnaces together with other lead-bearing materials. Three-dimensional simulation was performed using the IPSA (Inter Phase Slip Algorithm) module of two-phase flow from PHOENICS package. Numerical simulations have forecasted influence of changes in the slag chemical composition and the process time on the process course.

Stoker fired boiler plants are common throughout Eastern Europe. Increasingly strict emission standards will require application of secondary NOx  abatement systems on such boilers. Yet operation of such systems, in addition to reducing NOx  emissions, may also lead to emission of undesirable substances, for example N2O. This paper presents results of experimental tests concerning N2O formation in the selective non-catalytic NOx  emission reduction process (SNCR) in a stoker boiler (WR 25 type). Obtained results lead to an unambiguous conclusion that there is a dependency between the NOx  and N2O concentrations in the exhaust gas when SNCR process is carried out in a coal-fired stoker boiler. Fulfilling new emission standards in the analysed equipment will require 40–50% reduction of NOx  concentration. It should be expected that in such a case the N2O emission will be approximately 55–60 mg/m3, with the NOx  to N2O conversion factor of about 40%.

Molecular and electronic structure changes during successive reduction of a Fe-tetraphenylporphyrin chloride [Fe(III)(TPP):Cl] complex are reported on the basis of Mössbauer spectroscopy and DFT calculations. It is established that the attachment of additional electrons to a neutral Fe(III)(TPP):Cl molecule leads to signifi cant shortening of Fe-N distances at the fi rst stage of the reduction Fe(III)(TPP):Cl →Fe(II)(TPP) and lengthening of these bonds at the second stage Fe(II)(TPP)→Fe(I)(TPP). Changes of other bond lengths of the porphyrin ring also appear but in less degree. Interaction of Fe(II) and Fe(I)(TPP) with tetrahydrofuran (THF) solvent is considered. Electron configuration of Fe(II)(TPP) corresponds to intermediate-spin (S = 1) state and in the case of Fe(I)(TPP) low-spin state (S = ½) is observed. Electron density distribution in Fe(II)- and Fe(I)(TPP) complexes, in association with Mössbauer data, is analyzed. Good correlation between experimental and theoretical results was obtained.

Opis:
Supply chain can be considered as a series of linked inventories. This paper considers the impact of inventory on the economics of the businesses and the whole chain and discusses causes of inefficiency. In most supply chains the goods are inactive for the majority of the time, and this leads to longer term and therefore less accurate forecasting. The result is typically excess inventory, shortages, and inflexibility. By analysing the wasted time and costs in the supply chain, a clearer view of the whole process can be created. Total supply time can be considered as three components, namely value added time, non-value added process time, and waste time. This basic approach shows where improvements should be focussed. Using this time-based measurement enables more relevant comparison between supply chains than the normal supply chain efficiency ratio.

The paper presents choice results of experimental testing of burnishing process by methods BRP – burnishing rolling – pressuring. The burnishing process is a technology of surface plastic forming of machine parts. The plastic deformations are called out by arrangement of strengths causing the superficial crossing the value of tension pressure of the materials. They set the on cold causing except moving the unevenness also the cold work in top layer of workpiece. Studies were conducted for burnishing process of the external cylindrical surfaces. Burnishing carried out for stainless steels. Burnishing technology was proposed using burnished roller (BR-01) in order to give adequate operational characteristics of the shafts neck centrifugal pumps. An important issue to resolve in the article of the research was to obtain appropriate technological quality, and because of the economic aspect of the production and regeneration of machine parts, burnishing applied in exchange for abrasive processing. In experimental studies were obtained in the surface layer increase in hardness and the Abbott-Firestone curve a convex shaped, which given load capacity of the surface will be directly affected by its resistance to wear and corrosion. The burnishing rolling – pressuring process (BRP) were decreased in surface roughness of the top outer cylindrical layer of stainless steel, which can be applied to the centrifugal pump shafts ship.

In the article were presented influence of technological parameters of burnishing process on the degree of hardness and reduction roughness. Burnishing process carried out for stainless steels X2CrNiMo17-12-2. The experimental research were obtained in the surface layer increase in hardness and the material ratio curve a convex shaped, which, taking into account the load capacity of the surface will be directly affected by its resistance to wear and corrosion. The experimental research by application of the burnishing rolling – pressuring process (BRP) method were made in the Laboratory of Production Engineering at the Department of Marine Maintenance at the Faculty of Marine Engineering at the Gdynia Maritime University. After the studies it was found that the hardness of the surface layer and the roughness of the shaft necks an important influenced by technological parameters of processing (burnishing speed, feed and depth of burnishing). The objective of applying burnishing process may be, for example, the need to increase surface smoothness and dimensional accuracy of part. To achieve the objectives strengthen and smooth of burnishing stainless steel should be used the one pass burnisher roller and feed fn = 0.2 mm/rev and disk burnishing tool feed an = 1.0 mm and burnishing speed vn = 70 m/min.

Products used in the construction of machines and shipbuilding as well as petrochemical industry, such as shafts, bars, pipes and the like from two-phase stainless steel are currently very popular. The main purpose of the article is to investigate how coaching itself affects a person and evaluate it as an effective tool. The second goal is to find out what the features of coaching with the use of an AI-based assistant are. The problem of studying the effectiveness of coaching is indicated by the purpose of finding out, based on the results of the work in the session, to what extent the result obtained will lead the respondent to specific actions. To this end, the main measurable metrics were stress level, willingness to act, and clarity regarding the request. The study confirmed that the majority of sessions had a “positive” dynamic in at least one of the consciousness components (an increase of clarity or willingness to act and decrease of stress). The key implication is that it is important to keep a coachee away from stress to create space for clarity and willingness to act. The research results show that an AI-based tool is more effective in new requests with high importance for a client regarding willingness to act and clarity, confidential requests in terms of privacy, and sensitivity regarding clarity. A coach is perceived as overall stronger in usefulness, effectiveness, and stress reduction. Analyzing the results of the coach-AI-assistant interaction, the study shows that AI broadens the vision of coaches. From the point of view of the threat of the coach-bot interaction, there is a bottleneck that emerged during the feedback process during the study. In several sessions, coaches were not able to develop an emotional connection well enough through written dialogue – due to the absence of face-to-face contact. One of the key outcomes regarding the “client-coach” interaction is the high importance of emotional contact.

Emisja gazów cieplarnianych (w tym CO2), głównie w nawiązaniu do sektora energetycznoprzemysłowego, generuje negatywne zmiany w środowisku naturalnym. Dlatego, aby podejmować skuteczne działania mające na celu redukcję tych emisji, ważne jest właściwe ich analizowanie. W związku z tym celem artykułu było zaproponowanie wykorzystania techniki do analizy emisji zanieczyszczeń, która uwzględni jednocześnie wielkość oraz szkodliwość wytwarzanych emisji. Techniką tą był rozmyty analityczny proces hierarchiczny (FAHP, Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process) oraz metoda TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution). Proponowaną technikę przetestowano na aktualnych, dostępnych danych statystycznych z Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego, dotyczących emisji zanieczyszczeń powietrza w Polsce w roku 2018 według sekcji PKD. W ramach przetestowania techniki określono, który z zakładów szczególnie uciążliwych dla czystości powietrza według sekcji PKD ma największy wpływ na zanieczyszczenie powietrza, z jednoczesnym uwzględnieniem wielkości i szkodliwości wytwarzanych emisji. Mimo że uzyskane wyniki wynikają z subiektywnych ocen podmiotu stosującego technikę, wykazano, że technika ta umożliwia przeanalizowanie emisji zanieczyszczeń z jednoczesnym uwzględnieniem wielkości i szkodliwości emisji. Z kolei subiektywizm ocen po części zredukowano przez rozmytą skalę Saaty’ego. Stosując proponowaną technikę FAHP oraz metodę TOPSIS, wykazano, że możliwe jest dokonanie subiektywnej oceny szkodliwości emisji zanieczyszczeń oraz zintegrowanie ich z rzeczywistymi danymi, np. z danymi GUS. W związku z tym proponowana technika jest nowym podejściem do analizy emisji zanieczyszczeń, dlatego też jej zastosowanie może usprawnić proces decyzyjny w ramach ograniczania emisji, a tym dwutlenku węgla, którego redukcja, jak wskazano, jest aktualnym problemem na skalę globalną.
Greenhouse gas emissions (in it CO2), mainly with reference to the energy and industrial sector, generate negative changes in the natural environment. Therefore, to make effective actions in order to reduce this emission, it is important to analyze them properly. Therefore, the aim of the article was to propose using a technique to analyze the emissions of pollutants, included at the same time the size and harmfulness of emissions produced. This technique was a fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP, Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process) and TOPSIS method (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution). The proposed technique was tested on current, available statistic data from the Central Statistical Office, on emissions of air pollutants in Poland in the 2018 year, according to PKD section. As part of testing the technique, it was specified which of plants according to PKD section has the biggest influence in pollutant the air, with simultaneous consideration of the size and harmfulness of generated emissions. Although that obtained results arise from subjective assessments of the entity using the technique, it was shown that this technique allows analyzed the pollution emissions, by including at the same time the size and harmfulness of emission. In turn of the subjectivity of assessments partly was reduced by the fuzzy Saaty scale. Using the proposed FAHP technique and the TOPSIS method, it has been shown that it is possible to perform a subjective assessment of the harmfulness of pollutant emissions and to integrate them with actual data, e.g. with data from the Central Statistical Office. Therefore, the proposed technique is a new approach to analyse emissions pollutions, in it CO2, whose reduction, as indicated, is a current global problem.

In the article, we propose a new estimator of the hazard rate function in the framework of the multiplicative point process intensity model. The technique combines the reflection method and the method of transformation. The new method eliminates the boundary effect for suitably selected transformations reducing the bias at the boundary and keeping the asymptotics of the variance. The transformation depends on a pre-estimate of the logarithmic derivative of the hazard function at the boundary.

The method of change (or anomaly) detection in high-dimensional discrete-time processes using a multivariate Hotelling chart is presented. We use normal random projections as a method of dimensionality reduction. We indicate diagnostic properties of the Hotelling control chart applied to data projected onto a random subspace of Rn. We examine the random projection method using artificial noisy image sequences as examples.
