    The article presents the support system of quality management in the enterprise. It shows the essence of the functioning of the spin-off and describes one of the companies, which was founded at the Gdańsk University of Technology. In our case study highlights the areas of support to achieve and evaluate compliance with the norms and standards.
    W artykule przedstawiono system wspomagania zarządzania jakością w przedsiębiorstwie. Ukazano istotę funkcjonowania spółek spin-off oraz opisano jedną ze spółek, która została założona na Politechnice Gdańskiej. W zaprezentowanym studium przypadku zwrócono uwagę na obszary wspomagania osiągania i oceny zgodności z normami i standardami.

    Opis:
    Power system state estimation is a process of real-time online modeling of an electric power system. The estimation is performed with the application of a static model of the system and current measurements of electrical quantities that are encumbered with an error. Usually, a model of the estimated system is also encumbered with an uncertainty, especially power line resistances that depend on the temperature of conductors. At present, a considerable development of technologies for dynamic power line rating can be observed. Typically, devices for dynamic line rating are installed directly on the conductors and measure basic electric parameters such as the current and voltage as well as non-electric ones as the surface temperature of conductors, their expansion, stress or the conductor sag angle relative to the plumb line. The objective of this paper is to present a method for power system state estimation that uses temperature measurements of overhead line conductors as supplementary measurements that enhance the model quality and thereby the estimation accuracy. Power system state estimation is presented together with a method of using the temperature measurements of power line conductors for updating the static power system model in the state estimation process. The results obtained with that method have been analyzed based on the estimation calculations performed for an example system - with and without taking into account the conductor temperature measurements. The final part of the article includes conclusions and suggestions for the further research.

    W artykule przedstawiono ogólnie metodę oceny stanu nawierzchni PCI wykorzystywaną na lotniskach, charakteryzującą się badaniem reprezentatywnej próbki nawierzchni. Konsekwencje tego faktu wykraczają daleko poza określoną niepewność wyników. Badanie reprezentatywnej próbki nawierzchni staje się kłopotliwe, jeśli angażowane są zautomatyzowane metody inwentaryzacji uszkodzeń. Ponadto, jeśli ocena wizualna wykorzystywana jest w systemach zarządzania, skomplikowane staje się uwzględnianie zmian stanu o ograniczonym zasięgu i wyznaczanie zaktualizowanej oceny. Autorzy proponują modyfikację procedury, która usuwa wymienione trudności a jednocześnie zachowuje zgodność z wynikami uzyskiwanymi w metodzie oryginalnej.
    Methodology of pavement visual assesment PCI, employed at airfields is briefly described in this paper. Fundamental feature of the method is examining statistically representative sample of pavement. Consequences of this fact extend far beyond defined uncertainity of results. Inspection of the representative sample becomes inconvenient when automated distress inventory methods are used. Moreover, whereas visual inspection is applied in pavement management systems, allowing condition changes of limited extent and calculation of updatped assesment appears to be complicated. Authors developed modification of a procedure, that removes mentioned difficulties simultaneously retaining compatibility with results obtained from the original method.

    The article presents the approach to develop the financial knowledge used for the Decision Support System. The content of the knowledge is focused on essential concepts related to the management of micro, small and medium enterprises. Knowledge-based functions, not previously available in commercial systems, increase the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the decision making process. The Decision Support System for SME Managers contains six ontologies describing areas of Cash Flow at Risk, Comprehensive Risk Measurement, Early Warning Models, Credit Scoring, Financial Market, and General Financial Knowledge. The ontology design process and examples of topic maps and usage in financial data analysis are presented here.
